Chapter 26:
The New Leader
As the flames burn on The Great Red Barn, the rains have came down and douses the flames. Leaving the valley in a cloud of steam and smoke. As if it was all fog. All of the Strays have fled the valley and never returned and the floodwaters magically retreated. Then David appears coming down with Summer and greets his herd. Patou bowed to David and Summer. David greets his mother and he and Summer nuzzled each other lovingly. Then the HippoGriffs heard the clatter of Zecora's staff and looked up to see Zecora motioning David to ascend The Great Red Barn as the new leader.
David starts up The Great Red Barn and stops to hug Zecora as his father did. Zecora puts Chanticleer's saddle on David's back and said " As your father is proud, It is time for you to be loud,". Very majestically, David ascends The Great Red Barn through the rain. All of David's friends and family were in awe as he continues moving up. When David reached to the point, he looks up at the sky and sees a hole in the clouds where David sees a patch of stars. One bright star shines out briefly. " Remember,". One Of The Great Leaders Of The Great Farmlands!
David's expression gains confidence and strength. Then David whinnies majestically and all the HippoGriffs whinnied to David in reply as David lets out another loud whinny.
Years later, The Great Farmlands has been healed and returned to its former glory. The green grass and colorful fruit trees were in bloom, the creeks and lakes were flowing with fresh water, and all the MammaGriffs have finally returned to their sanctuary. A gathering of MammaGriffs is at The Great Red Barn, waiting for the presentation of David's new heir. David and Summer have become mates and Summer became the new female leader of The Great Farmlands. Bucky, Bess, and Mort have decided to leave Patch Of Heaven and stay in The Great Farmlands with David. As the gathering of MammaGriff surrounds The Great Red Barn, The Family Of Five Heroes: David, Summer, Mort, Bucky, and Bess are on the point of The Great Red Barn as Patou came to them and bowed. Bucky, of course, is shaking his arm in a classic victory sign.
All the MammaGriffs continued bellowing and howling as the presentation of David's new heir begins.

As David and Summer kissed each other lovingly, Zecora appears holding their newborn HippoGriff foal. A new heir for the barn. Then Zecora lifts the foal up to present the heir to the MammaGriffs.
Female Singer: ...For Indeed The Sun Does Indeed Shiiiiiinnnne!
Ths sun is shining again and David lived Happily Ever After.
