In the tunnels

In a dark, dreary area, lies 4 figures, clouded. Only sound that disturbs them is taps of water lurching in the tunnels.

Some of them are shrouded in anger, failed to take their oppositions like they usually do with all others who oppose them.

"How could we not spring a finger at them?", Expendable demands, either expecting it from the water, as he's staring it down, or from his team. "We always top ourselves in triumph".

"It's cause they had the vigilante on their side, you big doosh bag", Metallo reminded.

"Big doosh bag?"

"You pegged miles away like you were made of plastic, and all that girl had to offer was a simple flick of a throw"

"I hate Kryptonians", Jellyman disgusts on.

Before they were all about to express their anger in treaty, Reynold raises his hand.

"Gentlemen. Gentlemen", the latter repeated, intending on acquiring their attention, which successfully folds. "Let's not be so conclusive. This isn't our endgame. Remember we hold a powerful metal capable of powerhousing all our friends. Even New friends".

"You're right"

"Agreed"

"So let's get on with our next phase", Jellyman confirms. "What's our next plan, boss?".

"Oh it'll be delicate", Reynold regarded, signing a laughable smirk.

Reynold announces the team of their next phase. Their next step in the game. Earth's doomsday.

In the city

Oliver, Kara and Slade are fully geared up. No delays. They are prepared.

Currently. The trio, in suits, are patrolling in separate sectors of the city.

They beared their contacts amongst each other through coms. Although Oliver at no time alerts Slade because of his trauma that outcame his state of being an orphan, but he gets in touch with Kara million times, mostly because he trusts her, and he holds a concern for the latter, keeping a very close eye. Since he kept a promise with Alex.

Every corner, every ridge, every footpath. There's no sign of them. Like they're not prepared at all. Oliver, Kara and Slade correctly predicts that at some point there will be a showdown, they just don't know the when.

They spent 30 minutes scouring the sectors in city, no familiar figure to be found. So the trio regrouped in the lower grounds of the city.

"Found anything?", Slade asked.

"Nothing that could help us in our favour", Oliver, heed, answered.

"I tried using X-Ray vision", Kara deemed. Sighing. "Couldn't give us the edge we need. The city's chunked with lead". Kara alluding to lead matter structured as grounds, bridges, buildings. Done that way since the existence of Kryptonians lie in this planets.

A patch, from the ground, opens up, revealing the four, the trio were looking for.

Heeding their surroundings. One of them espies three people, the same people they encountered earlier.

"Hey. Isn't that them?", Jellyman pointed his finger at.

"Keep your voice down", Reynold muttered, undertone. "You don't want that Kryptonian to detect us via her hearing aid".

Oliver, Kara and Slade weren't aware of their presence, yet.

"Do not get yourselves caught", the leader charged his time. "Artillery still not fixed yet". Each player contracts a bag by their backs. Armour. And weapons. "Move to the right". Reynold appointed his team to motion forth a the small wall, by the water fountain. Once Kara, whom stands her body straight at the fountain, looked away, Reynold drifts his group to shift to the right, near the alley that corridors between two areas, crossing through the peaks.

Whilst the group traverse to the other side. Oliver, Kara and Slade give-and-take their vast knowledge from what they've discovered so far, which didn't benefit them at all. Kara's x-ray vision gave no asset to their findings. It's the real taste, game of hide and seek.

"We surveyed every known part of this metropolis", said Kara. Seeing no point of sustaining any further to define any area.

Peeking over their shoulders, overlooking a open-patched hole. "Did anyone check in the tunnels?", Kara questioned, motioning to a hollow, lid taken out.

Oliver and Slade tilt their heads over to where Kara's gazing at.

"I don't think anyone has"

"They may still be there. Let's proceed under there"

Kara wasn't a big fan of entering tunnels as she's not the lowlife type to trash in sewers or reside in.

The triad submit in dismounting themselves, using the ladder, down the halls of less-sinked burrows.

They began decreeing each and every tract, in sight for their fleeting enemies.

Soon stopping, three passageways, not a good thing for them. Believing that they could conceal their positions, in the darkness, even Supergirl.

"Anyone in here?", Oliver asked, to Kara, whom he knew can use her x-ray vision to locate any signature scans.

Kara nodded horizontally, after plying her x-ray vision across multiple walls that'd force people to maintain through lanes.

"But I did sift on something unusual in one of them", Kara accounted, hoping that this will give them some tier to draw in. "The right". Announcing the team to move the right of their faces.

As the team pitch in to their finds, walking forward, they directly find a black parched spots displayed in a recessed spot.

"That's the mark I pinned on", said Kara. Though it didn't give them enough guidance to lock on to their main people, it did however give them some clue.

"Burnt stain", Oliver named, after kneeling down, percepting their sight in. The latter, gently and at a leisurely pace, locale his hand on the mark. "It's warm, so they were recently here. Whatever they were working on, they hogged their chance".

"We're too late", Slade declared, eyes peeled. "Whatever they were working on, they completed it before we arrived".

"We might be able to stop them in time from flattering this city, and the world, from totting up to a pile of crunchy crisps", Kara declared back, marked by unthining recklessness. So assertive that she would do whatever it takes to save the people of this city.

"And if we fail?", Oliver points, reminding his girlfriend of his promise with Alex, and how much it'd hurt him. "We can't just go out there and revel ourselves. If Slade says these metals are so powerful then we need to be on guard".

"Can you give us some privacy?", Kara requests Slade, inclined to have a private talk with Oliver.

Slade nods, accepting her request.

"I'll keep watch for anything else we could pick up in our favour", Slade tells them as he leaves the two to themselves.

"What do you think you're doing?", Kara questioned, annoyed at how overprotective Oliver's been over her, like he can't let go of a pie.

"Trying to protect you?"

Kara constructs her fists on her thighs. "I don't need protection, Oliver. And if I did, I would either be poisoned, or exposed to large doses of kryptonite or any other form of radiation that'd crack my skin", Kara shot.

"What about Alex?"

"Look I know Alex vigorously told you to keep me safe, but I'm really fine. I appreciate your tendency to protect me Ollie. As I would've done the same to you", she exclaimed. Oliver eventuates afar accompanied with anxiety. That all stopped when Kara turfs her hand on his gall cheek. "Once we're done with this, we'll lay off this universe, and go back home". Giving him a reassuring smile, one that devoted him belief in faith that they'll survive.

"Oi you two!", Slade called out, getting Oliver and Kara's attention. "According to the probes from this projector". Motioning the two to watch over his wrist, lighting a holographic screen of all the clues Slade has found so far. "They've left the tunnels right before we head in".

"So we just went in the wrong timing? Is that what you're saying?", Kara prevailing herself to be correct over what Slade just told them.

"Unfortunately so"

"We need to go. Now!", Oliver, intense, superheated, kicked up. When Kara noticed it, she assumed it might've been her hope that apprised the latter to sharp edges of bravery, like a copped lion.

Oliver, Kara and Slade, fled out the pothole, quick to phase their standards. Intrusive in looking every high point in their surrounding, including far distances.

When Oliver sights a cubic-shaped dome, a tad level of extent vocalised Oliver into thinking something. "Where you do think the bad guys would most likely plan their positions in?", he regarded. Motioning his allies to follow his discernible look.

"Oliver you're a brainiac hotshot", Kara regarded, proud that his boyfriend is actually gigging with them.

"Gotta say kid, you know more about this whole vigilante stuff better than I do", Slade confessed.

Oliver tilts his head to Kara. "Think you could fly us up there", he requested the Girl of Steel.

What Kara was more pleased with is Oliver's ambition to get the job done, regaining his Arrow virtuosity.

Supergirl steers Slade and Oliver by the arms, as she tees off in their final showdown with them.
