John woke up the next morning. Jessie was still asleep. They were holding hands. John smiled watching her sleep. A few seconds later she opened her eyes.

"You're still here." She said smiling.

"So are you."

"This is a first."

"Yeah." "Come here." They kissed. He rolled her back getting on top of her.

"Something on your mind?" She mumbled against his lips.

"Yeah, last night." "I need more."

"Ohhhh." She moaned as she felt him slip inside her. "I do to." He started moving.

"I don't know how I ever kept my hands off you." "You drive me crazy."

Afterwards they were catching their breath. He was still on top of her.

"Damn that was so good." She said. She kissed him. "What a way to wake up."

"I know." "You were amazing." "If we didn't have get up you wouldn't be getting out of this bed." He said smirking.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah." "Jessie, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Are you sure that's what you want?"

"Absolutely."

"I'm only asking because you haven't been divorced for that long." "I know after my divorce I was emotionally vulnerable for awhile." "I need to know that you're ready." "If you're not that's fine but I don't want to be a rebound relationship." "Especially with the way I feel about you." "I'd be devastated if things didn't work out."

"My asking you to my girlfriend doesn't come from a place of vulnerability." "It comes from wanting to be with you." "When I was younger I denied my feelings for you because I was confused and afraid." "I'm not afraid anymore." "It only took two days for me to remember how much you mean to me." "I want to be with you Jessie." "I promise I'll be good you."

"I'll be your girlfriend."

"Yeah?" He said smiling.

"Yeah." They kissed.

After they got dressed Jessie walked John to the door.

"Have a safe flight." He said.

"You to."

"I'll call you later."

"Ok." They kissed. He started kissing the side of her neck. She laughed. "John stop that."

"Alright." He looked at her and kissed her. "Bye."

"Bye." He left. Jessie smiled. She felt all giddy and could feel butterflies in her stomach.

John was walking in the airport. He was on cloud nine.

"Hey man." Randy said.

"Hey." He said happily.

"I'd ask how your date was but judging by how happy you are I don't have to." "You had sex with her didn't you?"

"None of your business."

"Your face says it all."

"We've decided to become a couple."

"I better be invited to the wedding."

"Dude we've been dating for four hours."

"I know you'll eventually marry her."

"You know I don't want to get married again." "Neither does she." "We had that exact discussion last night."

"Care to make a bet?"

"What kind of bet?"

"If you ask her to marry you within ten years, you owe me five-hundred dollars." "If you don't I owe you."

"Ok but I might as well give you the money now because you'll be winning."

"You say that but I don't believe you."

"Why?"

"Even though you've never said it, I know how much you love Jessie." "I could tell just by the way you used to talk about her."

"We're not getting married, ever."
