TEN YEARS LATER
Clarke's POV
"Mommy," Nova yells, bounding into the room, hand over her shoulder. "Look what happened!" she says excitement obvious in her voice. She removes her hand, giving you a good look at her shoulder where golden blood is leaking out of a deep sword gash.
"Oh my god Nova!" you half shout. "Come here, let me stitch that up."
She complies, sitting down atop the bed. Halfway through the stitching up, Cedar walks in, holding Lincoln up as the man mumbles under his breath. You don't hear what he says, but Cedar struggles to contain his laughter.
"What did you two do to poor Lincoln. I know you two can take him and Aunty O on at the same time, but with her out right now, you two were not supposed to unleash everything on Lincoln."
"I didn't do anything," shouts Cedar offended. "This," he says gesturing at Lincoln, "was all Nova."
"What did you do to her?" you ask.
"They didn't do anything," says Nova from next to you. She then shoots the two males a warning look, one both she and her brother can pull off almost as well as their mother.
"Oh my goodness," exclaims Octavia, having entered with Raven.
"What the heck happened to you?" asks Bellamy, trailing them. Next to him, Gabriel is playing. He stops in his tracks when he sees Lincoln.
"Daddy!" the boy yells. "Are you okay?"
"Yes Gabe, your daddy is fine. O, go give Lincoln a bath, it will help his muscles. Then, rub some of the disinfectant I gave you the other day on the cuts. Other than that, not much to do. He'll be fine later."
Octavia nods and leads her husband out of the room.
"Hey kiddos," Raven says, addressing your two children. "Come let's go."
"What you guys going to do?" Lexa asks from next to you. You look at her; you did not even hear her come in from the bathroom. You take in her damp hair and suddenly, you feel an overwhelming urge to kiss her. So you do, much to the discomfort of the twins.
"Um," stumbles Raven. "I'll teach them how radios work."
You know that they already know all about the radios, hence you know that whatever they are about to do will involve gunpowder.
"Okay Rae," you say, having no energy to really do anything about it now.
They scamper out the room, followed by Bellamy and Gabriel, the former sensing your want to be alone with Lexa.
"Hey Lex," you say as you start to lay down on the bed, her spooning you. She hums in response. "Guess what colour Nova's blood was."
"Black?" You shake your head. "Red?" Another shake. "What colour?"
"Gold," you say, watching the look of shock come across face. "I'm just going to guess that Cedar's is the same colour, although at this rate, we may never know."
"How did she get cut? I came in after that whole conversation."
"I don't know, but she specifically sent Lincoln and Cedar a look that said 'Don't say anything'."
"I wonder why?"
"So do I babe."
It is much later when you wake up, having fallen asleep. Your head is resting on Lexa's chest. Lexa is in the same position as when you fell asleep, spooning you. You get up, and get ready dragging Lexa along with you, after much grumbling and complaining.
This is the first time everyone is going to be in the same place at the same time in almost ten years.
Octavia, Lincoln, Gabriel, their four year old, Lexa, Cedar, Nova and yourself have mostly been in Polis over the past decade. Gabriel and the twins have been around Trikru, and to Arkadia, but never further.
Raven and Murphy have mostly been in between Arkadia, the Dropship and Polis.
Bellamy has mostly been Arkadia, coming to Polis every three months. Miller has also spent most of his time in Arkadia, and he and Jackson got together after three years.
Monty and Harper stayed at the Dropship, raising both of their children, Jordan, who was 10, and Ash, who was 6. With them, Jasper and Maya also remained.
Finn, for the most part, no one knows. He just takes off randomly, exploring the world solo.
Finn found Emori a good eight years ago, and he had brought her back to Polis where things got really interesting. It took a while to clear up the whole Murphy and Raven situation, but eventually, Emori accepted it and moved on. She mainly stays in Arkadia, working with the mechanics and engineers there.
Wells found someone in Yujleda, a girl named Sasha. She is the daughter of the Yujleda leader, Maxwell, and Wells has been living there for the past four years.
it took months of careful planning for everyone to finally come together in a single place. Today, you were all kind of celebrating ten years since the Dropship crashed. You were probably off by one or two months but still, it's the thought that counts.
Roan, Kane and Madi were even coming in to celebrate.
You make your way downstairs where everyone seems to already be. Well everyone except Kane and Madi. Cedar and Nova are bouncing around, excited that for the first time they are allowed to stay up and join the celebrations. Everyone is dressed impeccably, most of the guys in suits thanks to Bellamy, who was surprisingly good with a needle and thread. He chalks it up to him having to change his clothes into Octavia's back on the Ark, but you are pretty sure he is just naturally gifted with the thread and needle.
The women all had dresses, which were, again, surprisingly very easy to find in all of Trikru lands, especially in Polis. You make your way to your kids, who are bouncing on their heels with excitement.
"You two need to slow down on the whole growing up thing," you say, trying to pass it off as a chuckle.
"Mom," Nova mock scolds you. "We're only ten. No crying tonight."
"Yeah, okay. I promise. Now come on, it's time to celebrate."
