I'm falling...
Why am I falling?
Bright light cascaded around the girl as her lifeless body fell from the tower.
Help...
Someone help me...
Her body smashed into the water as she slowly drifted to the bottom of the ocean floor.
"Vyra-"
Her vision got blurry as she saw hands reaching out to her.
"Vy-"
'I can't breathe-'
Bubbles choked out of her throat as she began to drown.
"Vyra!"
The bluenette's eyes snapped open quickly sitting up straight taking in deep breaths as sweat began to trickle down her forehead.
"Vyra..." She looked down to see cold hands on top of hers as Gray sat directly in front of her sitting on the end on her bed. He was shirtless just wearing his boxer shorts.
She looked around to see all the others still sleeping in their beds.
'I-I h-haven't had that d-dream in a long time...'
"What time is it?" She questioned
"It's three in the morning Vy-" He whispered
"Oh." She shakily wiped the sweat off her forehead
"You okay?"
"Yeah-" She let out a breath as he stood up walking over to his bed
"Gray..." She whispered stopping him in his tracks
The bluenette moved over to one side of her bed as she patted the right side with her hand initialing him to come back.
Gray smirked as he waltzed over getting under the covers next to the girl
Vyra smiled snuggling close as he wrapped an arm around her waist.
Little by little Vyra's anxiety's gone down. Being in Gray's hold, it helped a lot. They were facing each other as they locked eyes before falling back asleep.
Morning
"We got a whole day of celebrating to do, so wake up- chop chop!" Erza opened up the curtains fully unleashing the sunshine behind it
"Can w-we sleep a bit more~" Lucy hugged her blanket as she turned the other way
Natsu was still snoring up a storm as Happy slept next to him on his pillow.
"Lay offfff Erzaaaa-" Vyra whined
"It our only rest day, geez let us sleep-" She sat up half groggily before flopping back onto the bed as Gray took his pillow and cover his ears
Erza's cheeks immediately matched the color of her hair watching the ice and moonlight mage.
Gray was down to his underwear and Vyra was wearing a lilac frilly nightgown that Mira actually let her borrow due to the girl forgetting to pack pajamas.
The red head purposefully made them have beds on the opposite sides of the room. For reasons the bluenette and ice mage didn't really care about.
"Vyra..."
"Gray..."
The couple froze hearing the red head's terrifying voice.
She was obviously outraged the two were in the same bed together.
"Hmph!" Vyra turned to face the ice mage as he trembled in fear
"Uh V-Vy-" Gray began to sweat
"You may not be afraid of her but I-I am..." The ice mage whispered watching Erza's haunting glare as they laid in the single bed
"Untwist your panties Erza, you're too stressed..." Vyra lazily got up scratching her head as she walked to the bathroom before closing the door leaving a fuming Erza
The Titana's cheeks burned as she was about to blow a gasket
Damn, Vyra sure does get under her skin.
"VYRA!"
"She just doesn't have a man in her life that's why she's so stingy-" Vyra scowled walking down the cobblestone sidewalk along side Lucy and the others
"You want to say that again...?" Erza glared crossing her arms
"You don't scare me Titana Erzaaa~" Vyra teased pushing the red head's buttons
"Vyra, you better stand down-" Erza halted as her and the bluenette locked eyes
"You guys... please don't fight..." Lucy pleaded
"Or what?" The moonlight mage provoked as their aura's began to show. One side was red and the other purple. This was not looking good.
"No you don't-" Gray quickly scooped up the girl in his arms beginning to walk the other way escaping the scene
"G-Gray!" Vyra wailed
"As much as I love the courage inside of you, I don't really want to deal with a blood bath-" The ice mage sweat dropped as he carried the bluenette in his arms
Lucy let out a breath sighing in relief.
"Bring me back right now!" Vyra raged
"Nope."
"Gray!"
"Let's do our own thing today, what'cha say?" He questioned catching the girl by surprise as she stopped thrashing around in his grasp
The celestial mage watched Gray walk off with the bluenette making her happily smile.
"HEEEE LOVESSS HERRRRRRR!" Happy shouted covering his mouth with his paws as Lucy nodded in agreement
"Yeah he does."
With Gray and Vyra
"Hey, hey, hey, you can put me down now-" She blushed as the towns people began to stare at the couple
"What if I don't want to?" Gray teased as her demeanor changed from soft to demonic
"Put. Me. Down-"
"Yes ma'am!"
"Thank you~" She smiled dusting off her clothes as Gray stood next to her now nervous
She wore a long black skirt with a thigh high slit going down the right side with a turquoise cropped tank top paired with beige flats as Gray wore a tight fitted black shirt with dark jeans to match.
"So what do you want to do?" She turned to face him with a questioning look as Gray cheeks flushed
Now taking a notice to what she was wearing, Gray was actually at a loss for words. Last time they were dressed up was when they went to Akane resort...
Having her hair half up half down, she put a hand on her hip waiting for a response.
He's never seen her wear something so... womanly.
A loud grumble then filled the awkward silence making Gray chuckle.
"Well that settles that!" He laughed pointing at her
"H-Hey!" She defended now embarrassed
"We didn't eat this morning you dummy!" She spazzed kicking him in the gut
"Y-Your r-rightt... i'm starvinggggg" Gray groaned as he doubled over holding his hungry stomach
"Okay let's go eat-" She smiled grabbing his wrist pulling him along
'Now where should we go?' Vyra looked around at the different food joints as they heard a shout that made them freeze
"IT'S FAIRY TAIL'S GOLDEN COUPLE!"
Gray and Vyra's eyes shifted over to the older man standing in front of his beach side restaurant welcoming in the duo
"YES YES! WELCOME WELCOME!" He motioned them over
"We're golden?" The ice mage whispered
"Looks like it-" Vyra flashed him a smile as they followed the man through the restaurant towards the outside patio
Noticing the duo, families and customers began to clap as others followed in suit cheering for the Fairy Tail couple.
From last to first place, it was a major achievement.
Finally the audience gave the guild the respect they always deserved. Gray and Vyra blushed in embarrassment as they sat down at one of the outside tables. Flowers in full bloom, with iron rod beautiful fencing.
"Wow, this is insane-" Vyra gawked in awe
Their table had a plaid table cloth covering it with the centerpiece being a bunch of purple lilies with stunning blue fairy lights cascading around them.
The waiter was elegantly dressed and handed them their menus.
"So this is what first place feels like..." Vyra's eyes sparkled as they looked through the entrées
"I could get used to this-" Gray leaned back in his chair grinning ear to ear
After the ice and moonlight mages stuffed their tummies until their heart's content, they decided to take a stroll through the town.
The restaurant manager was nice enough to say the meal was on the house, but Gray and Vyra immediately refused.
They were customers they deserved to pay after the amazing food they ate, but that stubborn older geezer didn't take no for an answer.
He reminded them a lot of master Makarov.
Everywhere they went, they were offered free things. Flowers, deserts, photographs, anything you could think of!
"Today was a great day-" Gray sat down on the sand next to the bluenette
They were sitting in a small cave on the beach watching the stars twinkle.
"Yeah, but it's not a date unless you pay for something-" Vyra rolled her eyes was Gray froze in horror
"I tried V-Vy~" Gray began to comically cry
"But they'd just throw my money back in my face!"
Yeah, they were in first place... but that doesn't mean they expect all the free stuff given to them. Gray and Vyra had morals and respect.
"I know, I know, hold in the water works would ya?" She giggled as he nodded profusely already shirtless
Vyra smiled as she felt the moonlight reflect off her face as she kicked off her shoes. The swift ocean breeze blowing through her blue locks, the moonlight gracing her skin, the feeling of Gray next to her... it was nice. Although, this anxious feeling in her chest ruined it all.
Why? What is this?
Love... an intense feeling of deep affection. It was such a strong word for a person to describe their feelings towards a significant other.
Reminiscing back to before the s-class trials when they were fighting... she overheard something probably not meant for her to hear.
"-Not when the girl I love is slipping away from me!"
'He loves me...'
She loved Gray obviously, but to come forth and say it?
Vyra was never one to show affection or be so out with her feelings...
She loved Jellal.
Jellal was her brother after all, the first person she actually loved. It was an indescribable family affection.
She loved Laxus.
Laxus, the person that reached out to her. He saved her from darkness and brought her a life and joy and happiness. Something the girl could never take for granted.
She loved Natsu.
The dragon slayer was her very best friend. They've been through a lot together, they almost have a sibling twin relationship.
But to say it to Gray, the person she was in a real relationship with... she was struggling.
Ever since they were kids and her eyes laid on the small ice mage, that same feeling in her stomach arose.
"Hey Gray-"
"Hm?"
"You know I-"
"Need to t-tell you something-" She gripped her skirt as nervousness began to take over making her cheeks tint pink
'Damn it why is this so hard?'
"What's up Vy?" He looked over aloofly in question
She bit her tongue straining her eyes shut.
"Love you...too..." She mumbled inaudibly
"Wha?"
Vyra's eyes widened as her blush deepened.
"Sorry Vy, they waves crashing are really loud" He scratched the back of his head looking back at the ocean hoping she'll repeat herself
'Jeez, I have to say it again?' The girls heart began to thump as she scooted closer to the ice mage
"I s-said..." She grabbed his hand
"I love you...too." She whispered locking eyes with the ground unable to match his gaze
Gray's cheeks immediately flushed. Not expecting this at all, he was speechless.
Vyra slapped her hands over her eyes and she began to uncontrollably laugh
"I-I'm sorry! I'm (hiccup) n-not g-good at t-this!" She boasted holding her stomach from laughing so hard
Gray watched as she had her fit of laughter making him sit up and smile.
"What loving me is so funny to you Vy?" He teased
"Well i'm going to make you laugh even more!" He pounced tickling her sides
"GAHH! G-GRAYYYYY HAHHAAA!"
"S-STOPPP ITTTT HAHHHH!" She tried to push him off of her
Her body slid down now laying on the sand as Gray hovered over her.
"Vy, I always loved you-"
"..."
The blunette's eyes slightly widened as she sat up smacking her lips against his. The girl's body was on fire and her heart was racing so fast due to the nerves.
She made the first move this time as it was Gray's turn to be surprised, but he returned the kiss applying more pressure.
'How was he so good at this?'
Her fingers glided through his raven locks as he kept his hands placed on the sides of her waist. Bringing his mouth closer to hers once again, the bluenette felt his tongue graze across her bottom lip.
Gray's hands trailed up and down her sides as Vyra had her arms locked around his shoulders.
After a few moments, his lips left hers as they traveled down her neck leaving soft chaste kisses making the bluenettes breath hitch
"G-Gra-"
He started to suck on her collarbone finding her sweet spot as the bluenette let out a slight moan
'Woah-'
His rough cold hands felt so good against her warm skin.
"W-We s-should s-stop-" Vyra breathily stuttered as Gray licked back up her neck taking in the sight beneath him
Vyra with flushed cheeks, pink swollen lips looking out in the distance.
"Y-Yeah..." He agreed, stopping, laying his head on her chest as they began to hear murmurs around the cave. Too entangled with each other, the duo forgot about their surroundings.
The boy sat up and started to walk off towards the water to get some air as Vyra began to straighten her clothes.
She walked over and climbed up onto a boulder now getting full nights moonlight.
They had to shake off their flusteredness. They were here for the Grand Magic Games, not to be hooking up on the public beaches. Imagine the humiliation-
"But the question is, when am I going to get my strip show Gray?..." The girl sighed as her hair swished in the wind
"Huh?" He turned around nonchalantly fully naked not hearing a word the girl said making her eyes widen as her face instantly burned red
"It's about time ice boy-" Vyra clasped her hands together in happiness
"WHAT THE HECK WHERE'D MY CLOTHES GO?!"
