'Fuck everyone and everything! Why does Kami hate me?' I mentally complained while running after my hawk leading me to Sasuke. 'At least I was smart enough to let Sasuke sign the Hawk Summoning Contract, that way I can actually track him and hopefully find Danzo as well. Why is Sasuke still obsessing with his vengeance anyways? My genjutsu should have broken the second he was left alone after the fight with Itachi. That should have balanced him, and yet he keeps chasing his revenge so intensely.'
Finally I felt the intense chakra of people fighting in front of me and quickly froze and concealed my chakra. My hawk gave me a small nod, signalling that it was indeed Danzo and Sasuke fighting ahead. 'Well, this is a perfect opportunity. I can find out what's going on with Sasuke and snatch back Shisui's Sharingan from Danzo. With Sasuke distracting Danzo, jumping him and pulling out the Sharingan quickly shouldn't be very hard. Of course, there's the matter of Madara just observing everything. Though since he hasn't interfered yet, I can only assume that he intends to stay out of the fight. First I'll need to get slightly closer so that I can observe what's going on without giving away my presence.' I planned quickly and slowly moved closer to the match. I knew that the slightest mistake would give away my presence and thus ruin any chance I had at getting back my nii-san's Sharingan. Luckily, if it was one thing I learned from my years of pranking and working in ANBU, though mostly pranking, it was how to sneak in and out of places. Filled with shock, I observed as Sasuke squeezed Danzo to death with the Susanoo, only for Danzo to disappear and reappear right behind Sasuke. His right hand filled with many Sharingan. 'Izanagi? He knows it? That's a clan secret!' I recognized the jutsu with a frown appearing on my face. 'That means I can't steal back the eye until he deactivates it. Danzo, you've not only stolen a secret clan jutsu and the eye of my nii-san, but clearly also the eyes of the passed away Uchiha's. I will not let you get away with it.' I calmed my breathing and focused my attention on Danzo, my Sharingan blazing. The second he deactivated it; I would get back that eye. The fight was within the perfect distance of my Shunshin and Danzo was far from quick enough with his hand seals to activate it again before it was too late.
Suddenly my chance was there. Danzo had paralysed Sasuke, the two of them standing on the top of a huge column, and was deactivating the Izanagi. 'Perfect.' I smirked and quickly used my Shunshin. I appeared right next to him and jumped onto his back, using my legs to keep his hands from forming the necessary hand seals to reactivate the Izanagi and pulled off the bandage covering Shisui's eye and pulled it out swiftly. Sasuke proceeded to activate his Susanoo again and I quickly used a Shunshin to get away so I wouldn't be hit by it. 'Damn, you got the full Susanoo down already? I'm impressed.' I mentally praised him as I observed the purple armour.
"Kira-nee-chan, stay out of this! He's my kill!" Sasuke snarled and used the arrow on his Susanoo to shoot Danzo. 'Good, he can't reactivate the jutsu in time.' I smirked, though it quickly disappeared again once a tree shot out of Danzo's shoulder and blocked the arrow. 'Oh that fucking bastard! He must have used the cells of Senju Hashirama to be able to handle the power of all those Sharingan.'
I groaned and jumped next to Sasuke.
"I mean it! It's my fight." Sasuke insisted with a fierce glare.
"Sure, Sasu-chan. I just wanted the eye." I stated and quickly sealed said eye into the free seal on my left wrist.
"It's his eye, isn't it?" Sasuke snarled furiously. I merely nodded in response. "Then let's take him down together."
"Well, he is wanted dead or alive for treason." I said thoughtfully. "I'll watch your back, otouto."
Sasuke nodded and his Mangekyo blazed harshly. 'He'll go completely blind at this rate. Good thing we left him Itachi's eyes.' I realized with an eyeroll. 'Of course, he'll overuse his new powers the second he get's them. Itachi was a wanted fugitive for 8 years and didn't go completely blind until the fight with Sasuke and yet Sasuke manages to become blind in just a few weeks after Itachi's death.'
Danzo waved through the hand seals to reactivate the Izanagi and stood up again.
"For attacking your Hokage, Nakamaru-san, I sentence you to death." Danzo snarled and quickly used his summoning jutsu. Sasuke quickly pulled me close and activated his Susanoo so that it surrounded both of us. There, right in front of us, was Baku, known as the Nightmare-Eater. Danzo's summoning.
"Fire on front, I'll take back." I ordered swiftly as Baku started sucking in everything in front of his, essentially pulling the Susanoo closer and closer. I quickly spun around and saw Danzo go through the seals for a wind jutsu. "Katon: Ryuka no Jutsu."
My fire dragon easily overpowered his wind jutsu. I unsealed my tanto and used my Shunshin to appear right in front of Danzo and easily stabbed him. I knew it wouldn't take, but it would close yet another of his eyes and thus making us one step closer to killing him. Baku disappeared in a cloud of smoke, heavily burned by Sasuke's fire jutsu. Sasuke was panting heavily. He had, after all, kept his Mangekyo activated for a long time, so it was no wonder. Danzo appeared behind Sasuke's fading Susanoo, ready to kill him with a Kunai. Sasuke however, saw through his attack and unsealed some Shuriken and threw them straight at Danzo. The war hawk appeared again, and after checking his arm, created a chakra blade. Sasuke activated his Chidori blade, his expression reflecting the pure fury of Hell. 'He didn't notice. Good.'
"How many Uchihas did you have to kill for that right arm?" Sasuke shouted as he ran towards Danzo.
"It was Itachi who enabled me to do it!" Danzo snarled while running towards Sasuke and I raised one eyebrow. 'Is he just going to ignore me? Fine then.' I though and grabbed a handful of Shuriken and threw them at Danzo with deadly precision.
"You made him do it!" Sasuke yelled. Danzo seemed to have noticed that even if he managed to block Sasuke's Chidori Blade, he would immediately be killed again by my Shuriken and once again tried to use the Izanagi to get out of the situation. Only to land on the ground with my Shuriken stabbing him. 'He didn't notice the small genjutsu Sasuke used. It is to be expected thought, it was so small, and he was so caught up in being invisible that he didn't notice Sasuke placing a genjutsu. Making it look like one more Sharingan was still open. And now, he's dead.' I allowed a slight smirk to grace my lips.
"When?" Danzo managed to groan out and somehow got back on his feet.
"Tch. Like telling you would change anything. You've already lost." Sasuke stated arrogantly.
"It seems you got the rest under control. I'll have to report back to Konoha." I told Sasuke and nodded my head. I was not risking Madara getting involved and stealing Shisui's eye from me now that I finally had it back. Danzo was practically dead anyways, and with all the prowess Sasuke had shown, I doubted Madara wanted him dead. "I'll see you later little Sasu-chan!"
With a quick series of Shunshin, I was gone.
My first action back in Konoha had been to gather the Konoha Council. I needed to let everyone know what had happened at the Summit and of course; the crimes Danzo had been guilty off. With Kamiko doing a debriefing on what she had found, me explaining how said information eventually lead Konoha into unfavourable situations and Shikaku adding how all of this meant that the other Kage's wouldn't accept Danzo no matter what Konoha insisted on, the Council had no choice but name him a traitor. With this, Sasuke didn't earn any new punishments for killing him, which was great, but it also meant we needed a new Hokage and with Tsunade still being asleep, which was not great.
"Well then, Nakamaru-san, you have a busy job ahead of you." Homura stated with a completely serious expression. Earning smirks from both Shikaku and Kamiko (though I couldn't actually see it on Kamiko with her Tanuki mask covering her from view). "The Daimyo already accepted you, and I believe it would be the correct choice. Any other thoughts from the Council?"
No one said anything. I mentally groaned in anguish at the thought of all the paperwork I would have to do.
"I humbly accept…" I bowed my head respectfully. Now I could feel Kamiko smirking and laughing inwardly. "I will, of course, leave my position in the hands of my most capable ANBU Agent: Tanuki."
The definitely stopped her smirking, now I could feel her eyes burning into my neck. 'Karma, my dear friend, karma.'
Hayato-sensei was cackling maniacally as he watched me bark orders to my Shinobi. I turned around and smiled sweetly at him. Slowly, I adjusted my half-up-twin-tails and pulled out a file from my stack of paperwork and handed it over.
"I need you to take care of the sewers, sensei-dearest. It's much too hard of a job for Genin's who normally do the D-ranks." I stated innocently and held back my smirk as his expression changed from joy to true terror.
"My little baby won't do something so mean to her sensei, right?" Hayato begged, but I kept my innocent smile on my face.
"Mean? Sensei, I assume you know since you've been laughing because of it for the past ten minutes, but I'm the Hokage." I explained, now smirking. "I have to take care of my people, so obviously I can't assign a Genin team to a task as difficult as the sewers."
"I taught you too well…" Hayato complained, but left me to my paperwork regardless. 'Tsunade, you better wake up before my Inauguration Ceremony next week and take back this hat! Even with my Shadow Clones working on the paperwork, I still have a long way to go…' I complained while skimming through yet another request by some villagers for more money to rebuild their property. With the entire village pretty much levelled to the ground, Konoha didn't have the money to fix everything. It was also the main reason why most of our Shinobi were working almost for free, and why our food supply was growing empty. There was also the problem with the upcoming war. We were reviewing and checking all of our supply storages, most of which luckily survived Pein's attack.
"Hokage-sama, Team Kakashi reporting back." The voice of Kakashi called from right outside of my make-shift office and the team walked in. Naruto looked slightly green, but other than that, they all looked fine. "Kira-chan! So you did take the hat."
"Shut up, Kashi… I'm trying to move on from that…" I whined childishly. "So, care to tell me what all of you were doing outside of Konoha? I don't believe any of you were assigned any mission."
