After the Dirty Robber had closed at the end of the evening, Korsak had invited Tommy, Frost, Frankie and Gwen to come over to his and Angela's apartment. He figured they didn't have to go home just yet, and well he had to convince Angela, he promised he would clean up if there was any mess. She agreed because of that and because none of these kids were strangers, so she knew her sons should know hot to behave themselves. The boys stayed on the couch, some dozing off as they were watching tv, Gwen had offered to help clean which made Angela very happy. She had taken quite the liking to Gwen, Angela was glad she decided to help Korsak clean, so she could relax and get off of her feet for a while. She had been feeling really exhausted lately, and she wasn't sure why. She didn't say anything because she didn't want any of her kids or Korsak to worry.
Korsak and Gwen finished cleaning before going back into the living room. Korsak handed Angela a smoothie. "Here Angela, figured you should get a reward for working so hard today," he smiled and then looked at her children sleeping on the couch. Tommy's head was resting on Frost's shoulder, he was the only one still awake so he tried to shift away from the youngest Rizzoli.
Gwen nudged Frankie away, who jerked up in surprised, he turned to look at his girlfriend, "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
She laughed, "Oh don't be such a baby."
Frost couldn't help but laugh along with Frankie's girlfriend, "Don't go too hard on him."
"Thanks Frost, I know I can always count on you," Frankie ran a hand through his hair before sitting up, tugging Tommy off of Frost. "I should take him home."
Gwen looked at Frankie, "Actually I found out that Tommy lives closest to me and you live in the other direction. I could take him home. I'm sure you and Barry will be fine." She looked over at Frost who nodded.
"She makes a good point Frankie, I don't mind taking you home we live closer together, me and Gwen have been the designated drivers."
Korsak looked at Angela and then the kids. "You guys really don't have to leave. The couch pulls out and there's an extra room. Just so everyone stays safe."
"You sure that's okay?" Gwen was very grateful for the offer, but she didn't mind whatever would happen.
"You've been really helpful tonight, I wouldn't mind if you guys stay here for the night. Just no funny business." Angela slightly scolded her boys, Tommy who just woken up had no idea what was going on.
"As long as you and Korsak make that same promise," Frankie eyed his mother and future step father.
Korsak gave Angela a look and then frowned, "Fine we promise. I'll go get you kids some extra blankets and pillows for the couch." He got up and went to go to his hall closet.
"Wait who's going to be sleeping where?" Tommy rubbed his tired eyes.
Frankie looked at his brother and then Gwen, "Well um... We aren't there in our relationship yet..."
"I'm honestly too tired to care where I sleep, I could sleep on the damn floor and be happy," Tommy shrugged.
"Why don't you three guys just share the pull out it's big enough to fit three grown men there, and Gwen since she helped me clean can get the guest bed," Korsak offered his two cents.
"Sounds good to us," the Rizzoli boys said at the same time. Frost and Gwen just shrugged.
Gwen said her good nights and went into the extra room. Korsak looked over to Angela who had fallen asleep on the recliner. He looked at her with a warm expression, he would hate to move her. Frankie and Tommy pulled open the couch, and started making the bed. Frost glanced over at Korsak.
"Would it be okay if I stayed in your room? With you?" He asked in a hushed whisper and Korsak patted his back.
"As long as there's no funny business, I'm a happily taken man," he teased and Frost was not amused.
He said his good nights to the Rizzoli boys and headed towards Korsak's room.
"Is he alright?" Tommy asked in concern.
"Beats me," Korsak shrugged. "Good night you two," he went to lean down to kiss the top of Angela's head before going to his bedroom.
Frankie looked over at his brother before going to lay down, "What the hell did you do now?" He asked Tommy who just shrugged.
"How am I supposed to know?" He grumbled before laying on the other side of the pull out couch.
Jane and Maura had a great time last night in their hotel room. But Maura seemed to be worse with her sickness when they woke up this morning.
"Maura I don't mean to be rude but you look like hell."
Maura eyed Jane, "You knew it was rude but you took it upon yourself to tell me that anyways?"
Jane frowned, "Maura I'm sorry. Are you alright? Emotionally?"
"Why wouldn't I be alright?"
"Well it's quite concerning how you never get sick and all of a sudden you are."
Maura frowned at Jane's words. "Its not like I planned to get sick Jane."
"I'm not saying that... I just- How much sleep have you gotten the past couple of days? Like legit sleep?"
She shrugged, "I don't know Jane. The most I remember sleeping was my nap yesterday."
Jane just looked at Maura she could see how tired she was. "I know you are probably tired of me bringing it up, but does this have to deal with the whole Hope thing?"
Maura sighed, "How I wish I could lie and tell you no it's not... why do I feel so hopeless? Why should I be this upset if I have your family who actually cares about me?"
"Because Maur, it sucks not having support from your own family."
"That's the thing Jane, your family has been supportive so you don't really know how it feels when your family doesn't give a crap about you," Maura got out of bed. "I'm going to take a shower."
Jane was about to say something but she didn't really want to argue with Maura. She was upset enough already. Jane watched as Maura grabbed her things and went to the bathroom. Jane pulled out her phone and dialed the number she had memorized from the phone call the other day.
"This is Dr. Hope Martin."
"It's Jane, you know Jane Rizzoli, Maura's fiancee," she put emphasis on the word.
"I-oh yes, hello Jane. Is something the matter?"
"Yes something is the matter. Your daughter has been absolutely devastated since the last time we all had a talk."
"Look I can see why you're calling. I'm sorry that I don't approve of your and Maura's relationship. Okay I've put a lot of thought into it since our last conversation. And to be honest, I decided that it's not because she's in a relationship with a woman, sure that was quite surprising to hear, it's just..."
"Its just that you have a problem with me?" she finished Hope's sentence.
"I wouldn't say that exactly."
"Then what would you be saying?"
"I am just saying that... how can I put this. You're a cop and well you have a bit of a temper from what I've seen and heard. And I just I worry that what if one day you get angry at Maura and snap? I couldn't live with myself if she got hurt by you."
"But you can live with yourself by hurting Maura. I would never do anything to hurt her, she's the single most important person to me. I have a temper because I'm protective of the people I love and care about. I honestly don't know why I'm here defending myself to you... I love Maura more than anything, and I would never, ever hurt her so don't think that for a minute that I would harm her in any way."
Hope didn't say anything for a while and offered a sigh. "I'm sorry I judged you Jane. I know I have no real right to worry about Maura like I have been. I'm glad we had that talk and maybe I just need to know you a little better."
Jane ran a hand through her hair, "I honestly don't care what you think of me. I just want Maura to be okay... all she wants is some support and feeling that she has her own family who cares about her. But if you really want to make an effort..."
"I do Jane, I didn't think this would affect her so much. What can I do to make it up to Maura."
"Sunday we have a family dinner, it's a tradition that my mom has kept up and me and Maura have sort of continued this. If you accept Maura you have to accept the life she currently has. It's at five, Maura's house but you can come early to help out, I think she'd like that. But you should really even just send her a text saying you care about her and sorry the way you reacted it will put her mind at ease. And then when you come on Sunday it'll be a nice surprise."
Jane heard some shuffling on the other line, "It seems as if I'm free that evening. See you girls on Sunday."
"Alright and just one more thing, when you come to dinner just have an open mind, please?"
"I can't make any promises, but I'll try."
"I guess you trying is all that I can ask. See you Sunday," Jane replied before hanging up. Jane put the phone in her pocket and got dressed for the day, packing up all of their things.
A few moments later Maura emerged from the bathroom ready to take on the day. She observed Jane packing a bit before she went over to her.
"Jane, thank you..." Maura smiled warmly at Jane. Jane stood up and turned to face Maura.
"Why are you thanking me?"
Maura just laughed, "Don't act like you don't know, I know you Jane... I don't know what you said or what you did but thanks." She pulled Jane into a hug. Jane just smiled warmly holding Maura.
"You're welcome Maur, I told you, we're a team. I will always do anything to make sure you're okay. And honestly she has a problem with me, not the fact that you're in a relationship with a woman. I honestly don't care what she thinks about me but I didn't want you hurting from this anymore."
Maura pulled away from the hug, looking up at Jane. "I love how much you care about me Jane, you would go to the ends of the earth to make sure I'm okay. Do you know how much it means to me?" She leaned up to place her lips on Jane's, resting her hand on Jane's hip.
The kiss lasted for a while before they pulled away. "I love you too Maura, I got you. So we don't have to leave for another couple of hours what did you want to do."
Maura bit her bottom lip before smiling seductively, "I don't know... I do want to show you just how much I appreciate what you do for me."
"Is that so Doctor Isles?" Jane smirked, desire for Maura building up quickly.
Maura nodded before pressing her up against the closest wall, she wrapped her arms around Jane's neck pulling her down, lips crashing against hers. Jane rested her hands against Maura's hip bones, pulling her close so there was no space between their bodies. Jane groaned feeling Maura's hips press hard against hers. Maura pulled back licking her lips, her heartbeat picked up. She unbuttoned Jane's pants and slid her hand underneath her underwear. Jane looked at Maura, seeing the hunger in her eyes.
"I love you Maura," Jane closed her eyes for a moment before feeling Maura insert a finger inside of her. "Fuck Maur..."
Maura just smiled before kissing Jane hard once again, she wanted to please Jane, to thank her for everything she has done to make sure she was okay.
I know I'm always stopping when the good stuff starts lol but yay things are looking up for Rizzles and Maura might actually have some family who cares. Life is sure going to be interesting when they get back to Boston though. I'm looking forward to Jane's talk with Frost, since he seems to be a little down. And quite an interesting future for Korsangela that I've had planned in my head for almost ten chapters now. Thanks again for all of your kind words. Until next time my friends.
