Author's Notes: The end of The Last Jedi as tempered with changes from Chapter 30. Still haven't seen The Rise of Skywalker I will eventually, if only because I adore Billy Dee Williams.

"You're going to do something stupid," Lucky stated standing over Luke, he looked around the small room in the Millennium Falcon, "Lando use to keep his cape collection in here."

Luke sighed, and gave Lucky his most dignified stare – which Lucky always classified as the Jedi stink-eye now that Luke recalled. Damn.

"How do you know what Lando kept in here?" Luke dodged the implied question.

Lucky raised a scarred eyebrow with a smirk.

"What stupid Jedi thing are you going to do, Love?" Lucky persisted.

"Coming from a man who insisted training Rey as Jedi was the right thing to do, calling 'Jedi things' stupid is a bit…" Luke trailed off with a smirk of his own.

"Part of training Rey is training her not to do the stupid things."

"You're infuriating, and you're delaying me," Luke patted the floor beside him.

Lucky carefully lowered himself.

"I am planning on helping the Resistance, helping my sister escape the First Order," Luke explained, "It will take great concentration."

"Hmhm," Lucky nodded, "and is this something you should be doing after only recently reconnecting with the Force?"

This time Luke gave him a genuine Luke Skywalker stink-eye.

"Probably not." He admitted.

"Hmm," Lucky scootched himself around so he was behind Luke and wrapped his arms around Luke's waist, "Let me be your anchor then, because where you go, I'm gonna follow."

"Following me now," Luke wilted a little, "I might not come back."

"We go together, Skywalker," Lucky insisted, his chin on Luke's shoulder, "if you march away, I march away with you."

"All right," Luke conceded, and closed his eyes to concentrate.

Leia entered the Millennium Falcon with anticipation. She had seen the phantom of her brother in the cavern, but now he was…he was truly within arm's reach. She watched as the small remainder of the Resistance settled itself on her late husband's ship. Watched Rey alight here and there, meeting Poe, finally settling to help Finn with Rose. She was engulfed in a Wookie hug.

"Where is he, Chewie? Where is Luke?" Leia was almost giddy.

Chewbacca gave a whuff, and rolled his eyes.

"He's in the storage room with 'Lucky,'" Chewbacca answered.

"Lucky? Who's Lucky?" Leia asked.

"That would be me," an exhausted but cheerful voice called out, "and, mph, could I get a bit of help here? I'm not a young as I use to be."

Leia turned. There was her brother leaning heavily on a man she almost recognized, and then she did.

"Now, don't be mad, Leia," Luke slurred slightly, more than a little out of it, "I got married while I was away."

The gathered Resistance was now watching the real family reunion. They had been awe-struck in the cavern, now they were wondering if there was any place for them to retreat on the old freighter.

"He just needs some sleep," Lucky continued, "and I still would appreciate some help."

Poe hurried forward and helped Lucky get Luke the other berth in the main crew area of the Falcon. Lucky also fit himself into it with a groan.

Leia silently stalked over to the berth, and stared for a moment as Luke wrapped himself around Lucky and quite promptly fell in a deep sleep.

"There's going to be no getting rid of you is there," she finally sighed.

"Nah," Boba Fett grinned up at her, "where he goes, I go," he sobered softly for a moment, "and I won't let him go where I can't follow."

Leia smiled.

"Thank you."
