Planning for their lake get-together was a lot easier than last year. They did it as a group and no one did anything special or fancy. What was planned was simply a nice day at the lake with one exception of reserving a bonfire pit. The weekend came much faster than anyone could expect and they were already heading out to the lake.

"No. Not that one." Raven commanded as Clarke held up one of her many swimsuits.

"This is like a repeat of last year, Ray. I'm not buying a new one." She sighed.

"Then wear…" Raven dug through the drawer and pulled out two pieces. "This." The top was a simple black string bikini and the bottoms were also black but high waisted with a high thigh cut.

Clarke observed the combo and nodded. "Okay." She agreed. It worked, simple, and she knew both pieces were comfortable.

"What about you?" Clarke asked, pulling out a coverup and some shorts.

"You won't believe me when I say this but I got a new one-piece." Raven laughed.

"I'll be damned. Raven Reyes in a one-piece?"

"To be fair, it's got a lot less fabric than a one-piece should" She snickered.

"Of course it does. How about we get ready?" Clarke suggested.

"I guess. I should change now before Murphy gets back, otherwise, we'd never leave." Raven laughed again only to find Clarke rolling her eyes.

The girls convened in the living room once they were ready. Clarke clad in a see-through black embellished tunic and shorts with her black bikini beneath. Raven had her hair back in a high, sleek ponytail. Her swimsuit was hidden by a cropped black t-shirt and high waist denim shorts.

"About time." Murphy wined from the couch.

"You literally just got back and we took maybe ten minutes? Shut up." Raven softly punched his arm.

"Why get all dolled up to splash around in the water all day?" He asked.

"No one is dolled up," Clarke stated with a questioning tone.

"We just look this good all the time." Raven did a spin and the girls laughed. Murphy didn't complain at that logic.

"Wait, where did you put Bellamy?" Clarke realized her beau wasn't there.

"Oh. I sold him to some old lady for a LOT of money."

"I bet he was worth a lot." Raven snarked.

"Priceless, so really, where is he?" Clarke smiled.

"He dropped me off and said he'd be back in a few." Murphy shrugged.

"Huh, weird. Okay. Well, we're ready."

"Oh. No, you're not." Raven quickly got up off the couch and to the bathroom. She pulled something out of the medicine cabinet and came back out shaking a bottle.

"You both need this." She bit back a laugh but Clarke didn't.

Murphy gasped and acted offended. "Are you… shaming us for being pasty?" He exclaimed, feigning surprise.

"I would never, darling." Raven leaned in and kissed his cheek.

"You two are gross." Clarke plucked the bottle from Raven's hand and slipped it into the tote bag sitting by the door. She jumped when it opened on her though.

"Shit." She exclaimed, surprised by Bellamy walking in at that very moment.

"Oh shit, did I hit you? Are you okay?" Bellamy instantly went into protector mode with a cute little pout on his face.

Clarke chuckled, "I am fine. You scared me."

"I'm sorry." He smiled sweetly and kissed her forehead. "You guys ready to head out?" They moved away from the door a bit, Bellamy still had his keys in his hand.

"Yep, we were waiting for you." Raven eyed him suspiciously. "Where did you run off to, Blake?"

Bellamy laughed. "How dare I keep the ladies waiting." He clutched his chest in faux shame. "I had to go get something."

Raven continued to eye him and his vague reply. "Like what, Blake? No fancy shit this year." She reminded him.

He rolled his eyes. "I guess I won't let you beat Murphy with a pool noodle then." He shrugged.

"Oh, in that case. Tardiness excused." Raven grinned slyly and looked over to her boyfriend who looked bewildered.

"Yeah, that's what I thought."

"You bought pool noodles? You're cute." Clarke smiled, knowing damn well how they would be used and abused. She could only imagine Octavia attacking Bellamy and Raven and Murphy having a literal war.

"I got a few floaties too, at O's behest and she and Lincoln paid for them. Nothing fancy, so no one get on me about it or them. O wanted me to find the ones we had as kids but when I looked through our storage they were ruined, so she said it was an investment toward the tradition."

"Please don't tell me it's those giant unicorns or flamingos?" Murphy whined as he stood up from the couch. Bellamy laughed at his annoyance but didn't let him on to anything, only shrugging.

"I plead innocence. Let's head out, yeah?"

The girls grabbed their bags and the four of them headed to Bellamy's jeep. Bellamy drove with Clarke in the passenger seat as the two lovebirds sat in the back. For most of the drive, they enjoyed music and chatted about random senseless stuff. When they pulled in to the lake's parking lot, it was fairly packed. It made sense, being the hottest part of the season. Bellamy parked and pointed out Lincoln's car. Murphy was armed with six pool noodles and Bellamy a large bag of folded inflatables. They found Lincoln and Octavia just at the front of Lincoln's vehicle, standing in the grass.

When the two groups merged, they hung out and waited for Monty, Harper, Jackson, and Miller to show. They decided to use this time to inflate the floaties Octavia demanded Bellamy get. The first one he pulled out with a giant avocado with none other than a matching inflatable ball for the pit. Raven loved it and Murphy rolled his eyes. "At least it's not a…" before he could finish the line, Octavia pulled out a larger one that clearly had a rainbow and a lot of white on it. He instantly knew what it was.

"I made sure to get you a unicorn." Octavia smiled sinfully and threw the heavy deflated plastic at him. "I know you always wanted to blow a unicorn."

Raven snorted and Clarke chuckled while the other two men held back laughs. Octavia clearly looked proud of herself at that moment. Murphy did go to blow the unicorn up and the plug was placed in a very comedic spot. Raven snapped a few shots of just where Murphy was inflating the floatie, much to his chagrin. It only got better when Miller walked up to add to the fire.

"Who knew Murphy was into eating unicorn ass?" The group ripped into laughter at his expense and he tossed the thing aside.

Jackson came up behind his boyfriend and put a hand on his shoulder. "Good thing we brought a pump." They were relieved because the floaties were bigger than they remembered them being back in the day as kids. Then again, when they were kids they never had to do the hard part.

"Harper pulled in right behind us," Miller said as he pulled out a hand-held tire air pump and passed it over to. "Did we get a pit?"

"Away from all the small humans, preferably," Murphy added.

"Yes, that and we can unload the cars." Miller finished what he was saying and the group did just that as Harper and Monty joined the party.

"We booked a pit, the last one on the beach," Octavia explained, pointing. The girls went down the beach fairly far off to the left, away from most other people. There was a massive cliff overhang there that most people avoided, probably because it would block the good sun at some point in the day. The beach was narrower here, less sand and more grass. They set up just inside the sand line by placing down some big beach towels. The spot was perfect and perfectly annoying for the guys who carried over two coolers, a few bags, and a small stack of collapsable chairs. Once everything was set up and everyone was together though, the minor annoyance was nothing. It certainly was a hot day and the girls ditched their coverups fairly fast. Raven's one piece proved to be remarkable, slashed perfectly down the middle of the back and front and up both sides. It was modest yet sexy and everyone complimented her on it, well, the girls and Murphy.

"Sunscreen," Raven called out behind her as she ran to the water with Miller and Jackson, the avocado floatie under her arm.

"Thanks, MOM." Clarke yelled back at her and laughed. She knew it was for the better, as she had endured plenty of gnarly sunburns in her lifetime. Digging the bottle out of her bag, she shook it down and went to squeeze some out but a dark hand covered her.

"May I?" He asked sweetly.

"Of course." She let him take the bottle. Taking care of the people he loved was his strength and passion, and it was no different making sure she didn't turn into a lobster. It was a sweet gesture, nothing sexual or inappropriate. He just covered her pale skin in lotion before joining the others in the water. Lincoln offered to stay back and watch their stuff but Octavia literally dragged him into the lake with her where everyone was splashing. Raven had declared the avocados hers and Murphy trolled her by trying to tip it over. The unicorn found use by Octavia, surprisingly. The third one they brought was a giant donut, big enough to carry three people. The sun hit its peak and slowly descended to the other side as they swam, sunbathed, splashed about in the lake, and enjoyed a freshly grilled meal. After lunch and the rest that came after it, they all jumped back into the water. Clarke and Bellamy gravitated toward one another, Clarke leaning on a pool noodle and Bellamy wading in front of her.

"You having fun?" He asked, finally able to be with her alone.

"Of course, are you?"

"Always." He got closer to her and kissed the tip of her nose. "You're burning a little."

Scrunching up her nose, she smiled. "Not everyone can absorb sun into cute little freckles." Her wet finger booped his nose.

"True, you can borrow some of mine if you want." He grinned.

"I could never steal your frecks. I like to connect the dots when you're sleeping." She playfully bit her tongue while grinning.

"You do not." He suggested or asked.

"Or do I?" Her face looked like that of a cartoon villain and Bellamy couldn't help but kiss her. A simple, sweet little kiss.

"I watch you snore." He goaded her.

"Snore?!" She laughed. "I know for a fact I don't snore, I do talk though."

"Damnit, yeah you do chatter. Kind of like a cat when they see something far away." They both laughed at his comparison and she flicked a little bit of water into his face. In retaliation, he grabbed her sides and tickled her a bit, not enough for her to lose her floating balance.

"No touch." She whined when he finally let up on her.

He pouted and reached a hand over, booping her nose again. "Not here?"

She studied him, knowing this was a game and shook her head. He continued.

"Here?" His hand found her shoulder and gently brushed two fingers over it. Of course, she shook her head again. Next, he closed the gap between them just every so slightly and ran the back of his fingers up her shoulder, neck and behind her ear. A faint, noiseless breath escaped her and he smirked. His hands found her hips, pulling her to him and she locked her legs around him. The pool noodle was moved from her and hooked around her back like an armchair. She leaned into it, letting the cell-filled plastic noodle hold her weight while anchored to him.

"Here?" His voice was dreadfully low and devious, his hand was equally devious, running a single finger down over her ribcage. Her skin pricked up with millions of tiny goosebumps in response, but she failed to shake her head though and his lips turned into a smirk. He tried another spot, the soft flesh right under her breasts and down the middle of her stomach. This time her nipples reacted to the contact and he looked happy about the result of his torture.

"Behave." She mumbled.

He slid a hand behind her back and ran a finger down her spine, pulling their bodies closer together and causing her to arch into him a little bit.

"Bellamy." She warned, to no avail. His other hand traced lazy shapes onto her stomach, some of them dipping dangerously low. Her warning had more meaning behind it than he could know however because she let one hand drop into the water. It disappeared down between just as she conveniently released her leg's lock on him. Barely anchored to him and being held up by one floating piece of plastic, she found her hand cupping the half-chub he had been sporting. He flinched at the sudden contact and it made her smirk in an absolutely evil way.

"I did warn you." She spoke low and in an antagonizing way.

He cocked his head in response to her and bit his bottom lip.

"Dangerous choice, Princess." He rumbled.

"You started it." She closed her hand against him, giving him more pressure. He instantly looked flustered and she knew she had won this exchange, or so she thought. To her surprise, Bellamy pulled her hand out from between them and pressed his hand into the small of her back, pressing them together. The friction felt wonderful and they both took in air out of pleasure, or surprise.

She groaned. "Please behave."

Bellamy leaned in and kissed her, still pressing her into him. She could feel every inch of his arousal beneath her. His lips danced against her playfully but with a driving force of heat. It left her breathless when he finally pulled away. Both of them looked like they shared a stupor of lust. She watched his eyes dart around as if he was trying to come up with something. She took that moment to look over to their friends, only to find Raven ushering the group to the bonfire pit. They connected eyes for a moment, almost telling Clarke to enjoy herself.

"Follow me?" Bellamy's voice pulled her back to him and the growing heat they shared. She simply nodded. Bellamy released her and broke away, swimming past her. At first, it looked like he was swimming back inland to where they had set up but he veered further off to the side, toward the unkempt beach. She tucked the noodle under her without thought and swam after him, the stupid pool toy slowing her down. She couldn't think to just abandon it because it wasn't hers.

Ahead of her, Bellamy had swum much further, must faster than she could and she could see he had found somewhere shallow because he was now standing in the water watching her swim. She got closer and abandoned the stupid pool noodle. Once her feet could find solid ground, she waded over to him as his long finger bent and beckoned her over. He was now sitting on what she could assume was a rock, shallow but deep enough that the water came up to just above his belly button.

Sidling up to him, he held his hands out like a beacon of comfort. "Come here, beautiful."

She didn't need to be invited, but it warmed every part of her at how he looked at her with such want, longing, and love. The standing depth was fairly deep from where he sat, so she could stand right between his legs, the top of her head just lower than the bottom of his chin. She looked up at his big brown eyes. Suddenly and effortlessly he pulled her up out of the water and into his lap, her legs instinctively wrapping around his midsection. A different warmth flooded her, a carnal one.

Sitting in his lap up against the narrow cliff face, they couldn't be seen by anyone on the beach and even then the water covered most of her hips and all of his. It was obvious what they were up to, but she didn't care. Right now all she did care about was him. Their lips crashed harder than the gentle lap of water against the rocks they sat on. Hungrily, they kissed and nipped at one another lips until it became long drawn out kisses. Kisses that said so much more. One strong hand held her hip and the other was tucked under her wet hair and the nape of her neck. He gently pulled her hair down, tilting her head back and breaking the kiss. It made her moan. His lips moved from her jaw to her neck and behind her ear, leaving a trail of growing sexual tension in their wake. Clarke played with the hair at the back of his head and openly allowed him to kiss whatever he wanted. Her hips got anxious for friction so she pressed herself into him, feeling him breathe out against her collarbone.

"Can you scoot back?" She asked. Bellamy pulled his lips from her, dropped a hand, and felt behind him. In one motion he lifted them both up and scooched back on the rock, keeping a hand on her back. She dropped her legs from around him and positioned herself to straddle him instead. The new position gave her more control over her own body and allowed her to explore his. Her hands found his chest. She loved running her hands down his chest, feeling each muscle and the soft tanned skin that covered them and the smattering of dark hair the lower she got. Of course, the lower her hand went, her eyes met his. He looked threatening in the most smoldering way and it left her hard-pressed to not grin. Instead, she sucked in her bottom lip and that seemed to get a rise out of him in more than one way. He pulled her in for a kiss, a single, long, sultry kiss.

This is when Clarke took initiative and slid her hand between them again, this time allowing her body to press it down. She moved it what little she could, rubbing him through the fabric of his trunks. A groan escaped him and he pulled her hips down onto him, all but crushing her hand. The friction was good for both of them, but not good enough. Lifting her hips a little bit, she tapped him and he knew just what to do. He lifted his own hips, her still in his lap, and pulled his trunks down enough to free him from the confines. Settling back onto the rock, Clarke eagerly palmed him and leaned into a rogue kiss for a minute. The pressure against her hand proved he was more than ready to be inside her, and she was just as eager to feel him so she didn't wait very long before sliding her bottoms to the side and slipping him past those puffy lips. Her hands now free, she had a hand on his shoulder as she bore down onto him. As familiar as this was to her, it never ceased to feel amazing. They fit so perfectly together, it nearly took her breath away every time he entered her as if it were the first time. She moaned and settled into his lap fully before wrapping finding her hands behind his neck. He was her anchor and she used that to guide herself up and down in his lap. It was slow and the water cushioned her hips making it that much easier to ride him.

In the sky above, the sun had lowered enough to take the edge off the day. The water was moving with them as they made love in the lake. That one rock they perched on made to be their own little slice of paradise at this moment. Bellamy was worked up and breathy, looking at Clarke like she was the rarest thing he'd ever seen. A real treasure. The way he looked at her only made her fall more in love with him. It fueled her rhythm and slowly built them up. Bellamy groaned, needing more contact from her. His hands pushed and pulled her, helping her grind down onto him when she started moaning more and her body became somewhat erratic in motion. As she built up, a hand came up to the nape of her neck and pulled her into a fervent kiss. Their foreheads stayed together for a few moments until she couldn't hold it in anymore.

"You are so beautiful." He whispered.

Her orgasm took over her body and she shuddered and shook, her head rolling back and moans rolling out of her throat. Seeing her unravel like this always did him in and she knew that. Right now though, she couldn't think. Just feel. Feel the waves of pleasure and waves they created in the lake. Bellamy groaned, a long, almost painful sounding guttural cry, his hands pulling her body down onto him harder, flooding her as he came.

Clarke stilled to a halt and leaned in on him. He took her into an embrace. Holding each other, they just sat there, still and silent for what felt like the longest time but in reality was only a couple of minutes. Clarke eventually lifted her now tired hips off of him and let him slip out of her. He tucked himself back into his trunks and she went to stand, the water aiding her achy legs. Bellamy slid off the rock and into the water, standing with Clarke.

"Hey." His voice was soft, and he was looking down at her as she flicked her eyes up, questioning him.

"You're perfect." He tipped her chin up and pressed a kiss to her lips. She smiled into it and pulled away.

"Always a sweet talker." Clarke's hands rested on Bellamy's sides.

"Only for the Princess." He kissed her nose.

A heavy sigh escaped Clarke and she looked out to the water. The pool noodle floating some twenty feet away from them.

"I suppose we should return to civilization."

He sighed too. She knew that they both felt the same way. This was perfect and now they had to go face their friends. She could only imagine what Raven would say, or Murphy.

"Bet Murphy has comments," Bellamy said as if he knew what Clarke was thinking. She chuckled.

"When does he not." Clarke rolled her eyes.

"Alright, love. I'll grab the pool noodle. You good to swim?" He asked, looking down into the water. She could tell he was thinking about her legs. She simply nodded.

"I'll be right behind you." He waded out to grab the toy and Clarke swam ahead of him, back to the group. She saw that they had lit the bonfire and were set up around it now, just hanging out. Seeing her friends like this, enjoying life, made her so happy. No bullshit, drama or trauma to deal with right now. Just a relaxing summer day with people who loved one another like family. When she stepped out of the water, Raven looked over and gave her a sly smile. That was the last of any acknowledgment to their absence. Clarke rejoined the group after finding her towel and Bellamy wasn't a minute behind her. The couple took the empty seats that had been moved for them and joined the conversation. The sun above them slowly fell and they grilled up another meal before calling it a night when it got a little cooler. Back in the comfort of their own homes, Clarke fell asleep well exhausted from a day of fun in the sun. Of course come morning, she'd be painfully aware of how much sun she got.
