Spencer's POV:
I woke up in the hospital and saw J.J siting next to me. I couldn't feel my left leg. I tried moving it but nothing happened. I started to panic and J.J calmed me down.
I sat up and asked, "Where's Charley?"
She looked at me and said, "She is in the other room recovering. She's going to go against her parents and Sofia, the little girl, is going to a foster home."
I asked why I couldn't feel my left leg and J.J told me that the bullet shot through my left leg nerve causing it to go numb the doctors say that with physical therapy I can get it back to full movement.
She then took my hand and said, "Charley also lost a baby. Spencer was it yours?"
"She was pregnant and didn't tell me!?" I asked trying to get up and almost falling out of bed.
Yes the baby was mine and yes I am mad that Charley didn't tell me. I couldn't breath everything started to close in on me. I could hear J.J say something but couldn't make out what it was. A bunch of nurses and doctors came in and tried to calm me down. I still couldn't breath. A nurse put an oxygen mask on me and then I heard the machines beeping and getting louder. The nurse took J.J away and I tried to grab her hand but she was too far. I scream, "Charley!" and then started to see spots all around the room. I still couldn't breath something was stopping me and I blacked out.
J.J.'s POV:
Spencer was having a panic attack and I couldn't help him. The doctors didn't want to put any more medication in him because of his medical history. I wanted to stay but the nurse took me out and so I went to Nina's room.
Hotch was standing out the room and I couldn't help myself and started to cry and he held me in his arms. I felt safe.
I looked him in the eyes and said, "I'm pregnant." He just stared at me and then kissed me. Then he looked at me with some what of concern and said, "Nina doesn't want Sofia to be in a foster home, so she asked me to adopt Sofia."
I didn't know what to say. Of course I wanted to help the little girl but also I have a baby on the way. I walked into Nina's room and said, "You want Hotch to adopt Sofia?"
She looked at me panicked and stuttered, "If you- don't- don't want to I under- understand I just don't want her to deal with not know her parents." I knew she meant well so I smiled and let Hotch in and said to Emily and Nina, "We are pregnant."
Emily jumped out of bed and hugged me and congratulated me. Nina smiled and then she knew what that meant for Sofia. But I knew she didn't want that for her so I asked Emily and Hotch to leave the room so I could talk to her.
They left and I sat next to her and said, "I know you want Hotch to adopt Sofia," but she interrupted me and said, "I didn't know you two were together or that you were pregnant. If I knew I would have never ask Hotch to do that."
I laugh and smiled then said, "I just want to know why you asked him?"
She smiled and said, "We are doing a paternal test to see if Hotch is actually my father. Even if he wasn't he has treated me like family. If he was I feel bad that my mother shut him out of my life so he never really got to be a father to me and so I want him to have that chance. He deserves to be happy and make up for lost times and help raise her. After all she is my sister so technically if he is my dad he is family."
I knew right then and there that Hotch and I would love raising a little girl and that Nina will be there for support so I said, "Hotch will be a great father to Sofia and if you will allow me to be her mother."
Nina smiled and said, "I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you J.J"
