Hello and welcome back to another chapter of NCRS Volume 3
I'm glad that all you enjoyed my return to the series and don't worry, I'm doing well during quarantine. I've been coming up with different ideas and getting into different franchises that'll help me with my stories.
To recap what happened last time, The Vytal Festival started with a bang as Team RWBY, JNPR, and CRME won the teams round with ease. Meanwhile, Team CRME are currently scheming something revolving around Team RWBY.
How will the other teams fare in the teams round? And What is Team CRME actually planning? To find out the answers, let's get started!

NCRS Volume 3 Opening (Black Catcher - Vickeblanka)
A shot of Pyrrha slowly drowning in a pool of black water as she opens her eyes with guilt and regret.
Pyrrha is shown to be running in front of Beacon Tower and Amity Colosseum as a film reel appears behind, showing scenes of Team RWBY, JNPR, NCRS, MJNT, and CRME together.
The logo for NCRS Volume 3 appears.

Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang are walking in the fairgrounds before the four spotted Qrow and Winter glaring at each other.
Natsu, Cloud, Ragna, and Snake are standing back to back while in the center of the arena. Headlights start to turn on to reveal Meryl, Jin, Noel, and Tsubaki in one corner and Jubei in the other corner.

Jaune continues to run, but stops once a crying Pyrrha leaped into his arms with a sad Ren and Nora behind them. During the embrace, red flames burst in an explosion as Cinder appears with a deadly glare.
Four quickshots appear: Penny looking down while in the arena, Ozpin looking out of his window as autumn leaves fly in the air, Ironwood standing behind his army, and Cloud pounding the ground in anger as blood drops from his face.

Snake and Liquid walked past each other with scowls on their faces.
The two disappear before Natsu, Blake, and Zeref appear standing back to back as a locket falls. The locket turns into the White Fang Logo, causing the three to disappear to reveal Adam, who is smirking as he draws out his chokuto.
A flickering shot of Hazama appears before a Grimm army charges in to attack.
Let's dye this world
Even I can not grab this sword
All I need is getting strong

In Amity Colosseum, Yang looks up with anger before dodging Mercury's assault and proceeds to block his ongoing kicks. In the Forever Fall forest, Blake gasps and blocks Adam's rapid slashes with her katana and sheath while Natsu charges in, covered in flames before stopping with a surprised look on his face.
In the CCT, Snake and Liquid exchanged blows with each other while panting. In the courtyard, Cloud jumps up before slamming his sword down on Sephiroth, who blocks it with his katana while Weiss is on the ground, beaten up and unconscious.

On top of Beacon Tower, Ragna shouts in rage and anger as he and Pyrrha attempt to strike down Hazama and Cinder, who dodged the grim reaper's assaults. The two villains are about to deliver the final blow, only to stop when Ruby appears in front of them as the screen gets engulfed by a bright silver light.

Pyrrha slowly turns around to see Jaune holding his hand out for the redhead with Nora and Ren standing next to him.

Pyrrha starts to smile as a tear rolls down her face.
A final shot of Team RWBY, NCRS, JNPR, SSSN, CFVY, MJNT, and a bunch of other huntsmen and huntresses preparing to attack the grimm army.
NCRS vs LGTS
Amity Colosseum
"Ah, well, Vacuo fans are sure to be hurting after that one, but this next one will have them on the edge of their seats." Oobleck said.
"Team NDGO of Shade is certainly a crowd favorite, but these lovely ladies are going against some of the toughest, testosterone-filled teammates we've seen so far!" Port hyped up. " I'm of course talking about… Team SSSN of Haven!"
"Sun Wukong and his team are certainly a force to be reckoned with, and although he'll be representing the Mistral Academy of Haven, I'm sure his friends and family back in Vacuo will be cheering him along." Barret said as Sun, Scarlet, Sage, and Neptune entered the stage.
"Go get 'em, Sun!" Natsu cheered.
"Good luck, Neptune!" Noel added.
Neptune hears Noel's voice and turns to her with a wink and wave. He then sees Team NDGO: Nebula, Dew, Gwen, and Octavia, prompting him to smack both sides of his head.
'Get a hold of yourself, Neptune. You promised Noel to not hit any other girls.' He thought to himself while he's sweating intensely. 'Sure, Team NDGO are gorgeous and I wouldn't mind taking them out on a- No! Stop!'
"Is Neptune okay?" Tsubaki asked in concerned.
"Why is he acting like that?" Meryl turns to Noel.
"He promised me to not hit on any other girls." Noel answered while Jin let out a simple scoff.
"What's wrong with him?" Octavia asked Team SSSN while raising an eyebrow.
"Ignore him, for he… Yeah, he's dumb." Sun confessed as he elbowed Neptune, prompting him to regain composure.
The holographic roulettes appear behind Team NDGO and start spinning before it stops in the desert, causing a field of sunny dunes and stone formations with an artificial sun to rise up.
"Alright, home field advantage." Nebula laughed with satisfaction.
"Don't get too cocky. That's my turf too." Sun declared with a grin as the holographic roulettes appear behind his team before it starts spinning.
"I just hope I won't get sand in my shoes." Scarlet sighed.
"Hey, be cool, man." Neptune encouraged.
"Hey! The Ocean!" Dew cheered as Neptune turned around before his eyes widened in fear.
"This isn't good." Noel covered her face in concern while the rest of Team MJNT let out a simple sigh.
"What's wrong with Neptune?" Ruby asked.
"Oh no…" Blake places her head in her hands while Team NCRS shook their heads. During the time, a sandy beach and pirate shipwreck rises into the arena while Neptune stiffens up with fear, prompting Sun to poke him.
"Neptune's…. afraid of the water." Natsu confessed, earning surprised and confused looks from Ruby, Weiss, and Yang.
"Now you know how we felt when we first found out." Ragna said, crossing his arms.
"3, 2, 1, BEGIN!" Once the countdown is done, Neptune zooms through the enemy team and skids up the mountain behind them.
"Neptune! What are you doing!?" Sage called out.
"Oh you know. Just uhh… getting the high ground!" Neptune answered.
"On the enemies' side!?" Sun in an exasperated tone while Sage dropped his coat onto the floor.
"They would never expect it!" Neptune added.
"He's not wrong." Gwen told her teammates.
"Open fire!" Nebula ordered as Team NDGO charged into their turf with Sun, Scarlet, and Sage trailing behind them.
Scarlet comes upon Octavia Ember emerging out from a nearby arch and tries to slice her with his cutlass, Darling. She ducks under the swing and continues sliding away, past the middle of Dew and Sage getting ready to rumble.
Sage hefts Pilgrim overhead and brings it down, only to get knocked back by Dew's spear. He glances up in time to see the blonde wave her weapon over the sand, creating three small twisters that kick up dust in Sage's face. He looks around as they surround him, but doesn't realize the danger until they coalesce into one big tornado that picks him up off the ground. Sage's sword slipped out of his grip before being flung out of the arena.
*BUZZ*
"Team NDGO are in the lead, 4-3." Barret announced.
Octavia slides in front of Sun and Scarlet, who ready themselves to fight her just as she spins her sword around and produces a wave of flame that kicks up dust in their faces. Sun manages to jump out of the cloud just in time while Scarlet shields his eyes with his arm.
"Neptune!" Sun called out, prompting the blue-haired boy to jump from the mountain and readies Tri-Hard in its gun form.
Octavia attempts to use another fire attack to blind Neptune, only for him to put on his goggles and fires a bolt as his opponent, who blocks it with her blade right before seeing Sun leap out of nowhere to deliver a neck-snapping kick to her face.
Octavia tries to retaliate by bringing her blade down onto the Faunus, only for Sun to bring out Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang in its staff form as he spins it all around his body while hitting several parts of hers before he ends it with a jab that knocks Octavia on her back in the sand.
*BUZZ*
"Oh! And we're down to 3-on-3!" Port announced as Sun sees Neptune and Scarlet fighting Nebula, Dew, and Gwen.
Dew creates a tornado underneath Scarlet, lifting the dark red-head up in the air before he gets launched over to the shipwreck. Nebula and Gwen proceed to pursue him as he manages to land on the beam.
Nebula closes in and launches an arrow with her crossbow at the mast, using it to jump right up to where Scarlet is. She folds up the sides of her weapon into a blade to cross swords with her opponent. The two continue to clash swords until Nebula starts to overpower Scarlet, only for Scarlet to get his sword back out from the trap and feign a swing at Nebula's feet before knocking into her with his elbow, causing the NDGO leader to fall into the sand below.
Scarlet looks down and sees Sun dodging Dew's tornado and Gwen's knife assault, prompting him to take out his pistol, Hook, and fire the hilt guard as a grappling hook at Gwen's ankle.
"Gotcha." Scarlet jumps down while Gwen gets pulled up by the cable. Gwen yelps and holds her dress to protect her modesty as a barrage of knives rain down on Scarlet, only for him to be safe after adjusting his posture.
Dew lands in the water while Sun hits the palm tree before he catches two coconuts. The monkey faunus chunks them at Dew, only for her to knock them back at Sun, now covered in flames. Sun managed to dodge them, but the first coconut hit Scarlet in the face before the second one hit him in the crotch, causing him to collapse while aura level drops.
*BUZZ*
"Oof, there goes Scarlet's kids." Barret winced. "Team NDGO's back in the lead by 3-2."
"Nuts, sorry Scarlet." Sun apologized as he started doing cartwheels to dodge Dew's water tornadoes. "Uh, Neptune? Could use some help, buddy!"
"Uh, you know, uh, it would probably be better if you came over here!" Neptune suggested as he doesn't want to be near the water. "Yeah, I can guard this sector! We're in lockdown mode!"
"What are you talking about?!" Sun exclaimed as Nebula shot the tether, allowing Gwen to escape. "There's nothing to lock down!"
"Lockdown!" Neptune repeated, causing Noel to cover her face in embarrassment. "You got it."
Sun jumps out from Dew's attack "Dude, I know you're afraid of water, but you gotta-" He was cut off when a blue shot knocked an attacking Dew out of midair and into the water.
"There! I helped! Are you happy now!?" Neptune shouted. "Also, I am NOT afraid of water, and I have no idea what YOU are talking about!"
Noel sees Dew manage to get back up as Nebula and Gwen join their comrade, lifting their weapons and ready to fight once more. She tightens her grip on the railing before shouting- "NEPTUNE!"
Neptune looks back and sees Noel giving her an angry look, but he can also see the determination in her eyes before he looks back at Sun. "Sun, get out of the water!" Neptune jumps over to a spot near the coastal line next to Sun, and he unfolds Tri-Hard into its trident form before tip-toeing forward and stabs his weapon into the water.
*ZAP, CRACKLE*
Nebula, Dew, and Gwen got electrocuted when Neptune's weapon sent electrical currents all over the water, causing them to collapse while covered in smoke.
*BUZZ*
"And with that, Team SSSN moves on to the doubles round!" Port declared as Sun and Neptune chest bump each other before dancing in celebration. "You know what I call that victory?"
"Shocking?" Oobleck asked, causing Barret to pinch his nose with a groan.
"No, well earned." Port answered. "What you said was stupid."
"Wow, that was so close!" Ruby sighed in relief.
"Looks like the dorks made it to the next round." Yang joked
Blake looks down in the arena where Sun and Neptune are dancing like fools before the fellow Faunus gives her a special double-gun gesture with a wink, causing her to blush and smile. "Emphasis on dork."
"Well, we're up next." Natsu grins as he and his team stand up.
"You can do this." Ruby cheered.
"Cloud, try not to do anything reckless." Weiss said with a stern look.
"Aww, you're not even worried about me? That's mean." Cloud said in a fake agony tone, causing the heiress' face to heat up.
"P-Please focus on the match." Weiss stutters, causing her team to giggle in amusement.
"Come on, lover boy. We're gonna ditch your ass if you don't move." Ragna said with an unamused look on his face.
"I'm coming!" Cloud shouted before giving Weiss a quick peck on the cheek. "We'll win this for Beacon." He said before running off to catch up to his team.
Weiss sits back down and places a hand over where Cloud kissed her, forming a small smile.
"Dang, that's two losses for Shade Academy. But let's see if one of their strongest teams, Team LGTS (Lights), will be able to turn things around." Barret said.
"Team LGTS are certainly a tough one, but they will have to face one of the greatest teams in Beacon History, Team NCRS!" Port added as Team NCRS entered the arena.
"Yes, yes. Team NCRS are definitely a force to be wreckin with." Oobleck agreed. "With the fiery passion of Natsu Dragneel, veteran skills of Cloud Strife and David Snake Plissken, and sheer intimidation of Ragna Bloodedge, today's final match will definitely leave a mark in history."
"Go kick their butts, Natsu!" Yang and Sun cheered.
"Remember to focus on the match, Cloud!" Weiss shouted.
"Good luck, Snake." Meryl waved at her friend.
"Why can't Noel and Meryl take this seriously?" Jin scoffs. "They know that their boyfriends will be our opponents later on."
"There's no need to be cold to them, Jin." Tsubaki said with a soft smile. "It shows how much they love them. By the way, aren't you going to cheer for your brother?"
"Why should I?" Jin asked, glaring at his brother from afar. 'Knowing my brother, he definitely improved since the last time we fought.'
Natsu cracks his knuckles, getting ready for the match while Snake tightens his headband, Ragna grabs the handle of his blade, Bloodedge, and Cloud twirls his sword, Buster before resting it over his shoulders.
"So what do you think Team LGTS are like?" Cloud asked. "Are they strong?"
"Ragna, did Professor Mitsuyoshi tell you about them?" Snake questioned the grim reaper.
"It's like Professor Wallace said, they're one of the top teams from the Academy that my master runs." Ragna said.
"If they are tough, then this is going to be fun." Natsu grins.
"I guess you haven't changed one bit, Flame Brain." Natsu's eyes widened upon hearing a male's voice.
"That voice…" Natsu looks up and smiles once he sees Team LGTS arriving one by one.
The first is a long pink haired girl with aqua blue eyes. Her outfit consists of a red knee-length cape, green metallic pauldron with a silver lightning like symbol over her left shoulder, black compression sleeve over her left arm, blue fingerless gloves, cream sleeveless jacket with a brown belt wrapped underneath her chest and her midriff exposed, dark pink turtleneck sports bra, brown shorts held up by a belt with a black case attached to the back, and black combat boots.
The second is a dark blue hair boy with matching eyes, a scar above his left eyebrow, and blue tattoos on his right arm. His outfit consists of a white buttoned shirt with a collar, two thick blue metallic pauldrons, silver necklace with a cross, dark green dress pants held up by a black belt with a pouch attached to the back, and black dress shoes.
The third is a tanned skin girl with long blonde hair tied up in two braids and red eyes. Her most notable features are a pair of two cat ears, indicating that she's faunus. Her outfit consists of beige-colored hoodie with long cat-themed sleeves that cover her arms, red tank top and shorts underneath, and black high heeled boots.
And the final person is a woman wearing a cyborg-like mask and long black hair with two antennas on top. Her outfit consists of a brown and gray skin tight jumpsuit with a dark green military vest and a silver metal plate attached with a green mantis symbol to her back.
"Whoa, Gray?" Natsu laughs with a smile. "Hey man, it's been so long. I didn't know you joined Shade Academy."
"And I didn't expect you to join Beacon." Gray smirks.
"You two know each other?" Snake asked as both teams are rather shocked that Natsu and Gray know each other.
"Yeah, we used to go to FairyTale Academy." Natsu answered.
"Though he's always getting into trouble." Gray said with a shrug and a smug smirk. "I guess his semblance burned his brain cells."
"Care to say that again, you jerk?!" Natsu shouts in anger.
"I'll be sure to take you on first, lizard breath!" Gray shouted as the two former classmates glared at each other.
"Sorry about our leader. He's a bit of a hothead." Cloud apologized with an awkward laugh.
"It's fine." The pink haired girl said with a small laugh. "So you're Cloud Strife? My name's Lightning Farron."
"You know me?" Cloud asked with a surprised tone.
"Of course. You used to be in the Atlesian Military." Lightning answered. "I should know because I used to be in the military as well."
"You used to be in the military?" Snake asked as both him and Cloud are surprised by this.
"Now that I think about it, I did hear that there was another girl our age that was really good, but she left after some circumstances." Cloud recalled. "That was you?"
"The same one." Lightning answered. "But as the leader of Team LGTS, I'm not going to go easy just because we used to be soldiers. And you better not underestimate Gray, Tao, and Scream. They're just as strong as I am."
"Scream?" Ragna raises an eyebrow and looks at Scream, who's making some astronaut breathing sounds. "Why the hell is she called Scream?"
"Careful Ragna, you shouldn't judge her by appearance." Snake warned. "She could have a sound based semblance."
"Meow, hey Mr. Soldier Guy!" The stealth soldier turns to Tao, who is making a rather creepy happy face. "Why do you look so grumpy, meow?"
"Grumpy?" Snake asked in confusion.
"Yeah, you should try smiling, meow." Tao suggested.
"I can smile just fine." Snake said skeptically. "But why are you-"
"Hey Mr. Soldier Guy! What's with that headband?" Tao asked with a curious look on her face.
"My… headband?" Snake asked. He has never seen anyone so talkative in a long time.
"Yeah, it looks funny, meow." Tao laughed. "You should try changing your looks so you don't look ugly scary, meow."
"Do you have to end every sentence with meow?" Snake grumbled as he started to get annoyed.
The two holographic roulettes appear on both sides and start to spin. The holographs behind stop in the geyser and anti gravity, causing a rocky field with water and craters to rise up behind Team NCRS and a bunch of floating platforms rise up behind LGTS.
Meanwhile, Jubei is watching from the top bleachers as a smirk forms on his face.
"Let's see who comes out on top." He chuckled.
"3, 2, 1, FIGHT!" Port shouted.
"Scream, Gray. Back us up." Lightning said as she and Tao charged in with their weapons in hand.
"Ragna, with me!" Natsu shouts as he takes out Crimson Lotus and charges in with Ragna, leaving Cloud and Snake to fight Lightning and Tao. The dragon faunus jumps up in the air and shoots at Gray, prompting him to roll backwards into the geyser zone.
Gray smirks as two cannon barrels, Ur's Kiss, pop out of a slot from his pauldrons before firing shots at Natsu, prompting him to dodge while firing back.
Cloud took out his sword and swung it at Lighting, only for her to do a back flip to dodge before taking out her blade, Blazefire. The pink haired girl then jumps in and swings her blade at the blonde swordsman, forcing him to be on the defensive.
Ranga takes out his blade and slams it down on Scream, only for her to catch it with her hands, causing her to slide back slowly as Ragna tries to overpower her.
"You're a lot stronger than I thought." Ragna admitted with a small smirk.
Scream makes another astronaut breathing sound before looking up and starts to laugh rather creepily. "Let me hear you SCREAM!" She laughs as four mechanical tentacles pop out from her metal plate.
"W-What the hell!?" Ragna's eyes widened as one of the mechanical tentacles, Silencer, knocked his weapon out of his hands while another one popped a blade out and attempted to slice him. Ragna jumps back to where his blade is and grabs it as the last two mechanical tentacles stab themselves into the ground while lifting Scream up in the air.
"Yes… More…" Scream pants heavily before laughing. "I want to hear more of your screams!"
"Well, this is going to be a pain in the ass." Ragna gritted his teeth as he grabbed the handle of his weapon.
Snake fires his gun, Gray Fox, numerous times at Tao, who is jumping around while laughing like a child.
"Wow, you need to work on your aim, grumpy soldier." Tao meowed as she jumped over Snake and made her way to the anti gravity zone.
'She's faster than I thought.' Snake thought to himself with an angry grunt as he chases after the cheerful cat faunus.
Cloud glances back a bit to see Snake going into the anti gravity zone before pressing the button on the handle of his sword, shocking Lightning a bit and stepping back a bit as Cloud runs into the anti zone. Not wanting her opponent to get away, she chases after the blonde swordsman.
Natsu and Gray continue to fire their weapons at each other until they both run out of bullets. Natsu twirls his tonfas before charging in, prompting Gray to remove the shoulder cannons as they change into dual saw blade bats. The two rivals start to clash weapons with each other while Natsu changes his tonfas into dual claw gauntlets.
"I gotta admit, you've gotten better." Gray admitted with a smirk as he swung his saw blade bats. "Learned a few tricks from your team?"
"I had to learn new moves so I can kick your butt." Natsu grinned as he blocked them with his claws. "And I'm just getting fired up."
"Bring it, Flame Breath." Gray taunted, prompting Natsu to engulf himself into flames.
"Get ready, Popsicle! Fire Dragon...!" Natsu takes a deep breath.
Gray chuckles as he puts one foot back and begins to take in a deep breath as cold steam emits from his body. "Ice Devil…"
"What the!?" Ruby gasped in shock.
"Wait, what did he say?" Yang added.
"He's an ice user?" Weiss and Jin asked in unison as the latter is rather surprised for the first time.
"Hold on, are they using the same semblance?" Sun asked as his eyes widened.
"That's crazy!" Jaune exclaimed.
"ROAR!" Natsu roars as he breathes out a stream of fire.
"RAGE!" Gray shouts as he releases a large beam of cold air, ice and snow from his mouth.
The two attacks collide with each other creating an explosion, sending a combination of a heatwave and cold wind in different directions. The rest of Team NCRS and LGTS held their arms up to brace through the aftershock of the attack.
"Meow! Ice Boy's really strong!" Tao giggled with delight while Scream simply let out a grunt.
"I haven't seen Gray go all out in a long time." Lightning admitted.
"Holy sh*t! I did not expect that!" Barret shouted in disbelief.
"First off, language Wallace." Oobleck said with a sigh. "And second, it appears that Mr. Fullbuster just activated his semblance: Demonic Ice."
A cloud of steam fades away to reveal Natsu and Gray, which the latter is now shirtless as the two breathe heavily with grins on their faces.
"Not bad." Natsu admitted.
"It's like you said: I've learned some new moves too in order to beat you as well." Gray said. "And I'm just getting started."
The two rivals engulfed their weapons in flames and ice before they started to clash again, but much faster than before.
'It looks like Gray's going all out. Which means we have to go all out too.' Lightning thought to herself and gave a simple nod to Tao and Scream before jumping over Cloud, who swung his blade to get the advantage. She changed her blade into its gun form, firing a few shots against Cloud's back as he stumbles and grunts from the attack.
"I wasn't planning on using my semblance, but I have no choice." Lightning said as a bright pink horse shaped holograph appears before she lands on it. She kicked the holographic horse before charging towards Cloud.
"Whoa, what a semblance." Cloud said in shock before he smirks. "Bring it on!" He charges at Lightning as the two start to clash blades with one another, but Lightning lands a few strikes due to mobility.
Snake runs one of the upside down platforms to chase after Tao, who is running on the other platform. Snake jumps off his platform and prepares to strike her from behind, only to hit what appears to be an after image.
"Wait, her semblance is like Blake's?" Snake asked in shock before Tao swung her multi-colored claws, Kaka Edge, causing Snake to stumble back before changing his gun to a knife. "Your semblance, are they clones?"
"More like after images, grumpy soldier." Tao laughs as she swings her claws rapidly at Snake, forcing Snake to be on the defensive.
Rang rolls out of the way to avoid gunfire from one of Scream's mechanical tentacles as he changes his weapon to its cannon form. He starts to fire his weapon at Scream, only for two of her mechanical tentacles to take the hit.
"Screams… Screams…" Scream starts to breathe heavily as the mouthpiece to her mask opens before she lets out an ear piercing scream, sending a supersonic wave towards Ragna.
"Damn it!" Ragna shouts in pain as he covers his ears while trying to run. "Well, now I know why she's called Scream!"
Meanwhile, Jubei lets out a simple chuckle upon seeing Team LGTS gaining the advantage in the fight.
"Team LGTS are certainly a bunch of talented and powerful students. One of the best I've seen in my Academy." Jubei said as he looked at Scream, who is pursuing Ragna into the geyser zone. "Scream's semblance was discovered during her imprisonment when she took out the bandits who kidnapped her and destroyed her old hometown. After escaping, I found her and gave her a home in Shade Academy, becoming a strong student who specializes in long distance attacks." Jubei then turns to Tao, who is hopping around Snake while landing a few strikes with her claws. "Tao Kaka is definitely a handful. Jubei then turns to Gray, who traps Natsu by freezing the ground and his feet so he lands numerous strikes. "Gray is definitely one of the most versatile fighters I've ever seen in history with his ice semblance. He used to live in Atlas and trained in the cold before moving to Vacuo to attend FairyTale and Shade Academy." Jubei finally turns to Lightning, who knocks Cloud into the anti gravity zone while riding her holographic horse. "Lightning earned her position as team leader with hard work and her former military background. She left Atlas after she was recommended to join Shade Academy and ever since joining, she always led her team to victory on top of her horse holograph. I'm curious to see how Team NCRS will overcome this obstacle."
Natsu tumbles back after Gray landed a strong strike with his dual saw blade bats. He slowly gets up and sees Ranga sliding back to avoid Scream's assault.
"Ragna, are you okay?" Natsu asked.
"What!? I can't hear you!" Ranga shouts as his ears are ringing.
"Are you okay, Ragna!?" Natsu shouts.
"Well, I'm not dead!" Ragna answered. "We need to outsmart these two or we'll get our asses kicked!"
Scream starts to move towards Ragna and Natsu on one side with her mechanical tentacles while breathing heavily. Meanwhile, Gray starts to approach the two from the other side, resting one of his weapons on his shoulder.
"Scream, cover me." Gray told his partner, getting a nod of approval in return before jumping in and swinging his weapons at Natsu and Ragna, prompting the two to fight back.
Ragna changed his weapon to its scythe form and swung it numerous times before ducking, allowing Natsu to jump over and drop kicks Gray back while breathing fire at Scream. Scream unleashes another supersonic scream to destroy the stream of fire.
"Shit! Take cover!" Ragna exclaimed as he and Natsu jumped out of the way while covering their ears while taking cover behind one of the boulders.
"Wait a minute…" Natsu gasps and looks at Gray and Scream before looking at one of the erupting geysers. "Ragna, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Ranga looks at his team leader with a confused look on his face before letting out a simple chuckle- "I swear, you come up with stupid ideas. But I'll humor you and go along with it."
Meanwhile, Snake tumbles back before grabbing the ledge of the upper platform to prevent himself from falling out of the arena. She starts to shuffle around the corners before letting go as he lands on one of the lower platforms. He turns around and sees Cloud crashing next to him after Lightning overpower him.
"Having girl problems?" Snake grabbed Cloud's hand and pulled him back up, but flinched a bit in pain from Tao's earlier attack.
"Guess I'm not the only one." Cloud chuckles before making a serious face. "But in all seriousness, we have to use the field to our advantage."
"What do you have in mind?" Snake asked.
Meanwhile, Tao leaps over to her team leader while in a squatting position after retracting her weapons.
"This is more fun than I thought, Leader." Tao said with a smile.
"Try not to underestimate them, Tao." Lightning said before looking down to see Cloud on the platform. "Let's take them out one by one."
"Meow! Let's play, spiky hair!" Tao laughs as she pounces towards Cloud.
"You may have me on the ropes, but it's not over yet." Cloud glows blue and yellow, activating his semblance as he swings and twirls his sword, clashing with Tao after she protracts her claws.
Lightning and her horse jumps off the platform before firing her weapon from afar, only for Cloud to deflect his shots.
"So your semblance increases your speed and strength. But we'll see for how long." Lightning charges in and swings her gunblade at Cloud.
Cloud continues to block both Tao and Lightning's strikes with his sword until he jumps back and stabs his sword into the floor.
*PING*
Suddenly, both Lightning and Tao start to lose gravity as they're now floating in the air, struggling to regain their balance.
"Now!" Cloud shouts as a bullet hits Lightning's horse, shattering the holograph.
"Meow!?" Tao's eyes widened and turned around to see Snake deactivating his semblance, who was standing upside down on the platform with his gun in hand. "The grumpy soldier can turn invisible!?"
"It's more like camouflaging myself with my surroundings. You always got to use the battlefield to your advantage." Snake said before he and Cloud jumped towards the two ladies and landed a double axe kick on them before knocking them out of the anti gravity zone and into the center, causing their aura to glow pink and orange respectively before they shatter.
*BUZZ*
"Oh! Lighting Farron and Tao Kaka are eliminated by aura level!" Port announced, surprising both Gray and Scream.
"What!? They beat them?" Gray exclaimed. "Scream, we need to wrap this up, fast."
Scream gave Gray a simple nod before firing lasers at Ragna and Natsu, which the two are deflecting them with their scythe and claws. Gray twirls his saw blade bats and charges in while swinging them at the white haired boy, pushing his opponent further back until Ragna stops at a ledge.
"Ragna!" Natsu gasps, but gets grabbed by Scream's tentacles as she unleashes her supersonic screech, causing Natsu to scream.
Ragna grits his teeth as he struggles to break free from the weapon lock while Gray starts to freeze his weapons with his semblance.
"Sorry pal." Gray apologized. "But with me and Scream's semblances, you and Flame Brain stand no chance against us."
"Your friend has a loud screech, but can she handle a dragon's roar?" Ragna asked with a smirk. "Now!"
Natsu's scream turns into a really loud roar that it starts to reach throughout the entire colosseum, causing Scream to gasp in fear, causing her mask to crack while Gray widens his eyes. Ragna takes this opportunity to break free from the weapon lock and trips Gray as a hot geyser erupts, hitting the ice user.
"T-Too loud…" Scream whimpers in fear as her mask shatters, revealing her face and brown eyes as she covers her ears. "Make it stop!"
Lightning, Tao, Cloud, and Snake covered their ears and winces from the loud sound of Natsu's roar.
"Meow! Dragon boy's roar is really loud!" Tao whines.
"His roar is louder than Scream's semblance!?" Lightning gasped in disbelief.
"Natsu should give us a warning about this next time!" Cloud shouted.
"At least it's working in our favor!" Snake shouted back.
Scream starts to panic before screaming as she's forced to release Natsu from his grip.
"RAGNA! NOW!" Natsu shouts.
"Restriction 666 release! Dimensional interference field deployed!" Ragna clenched his right fist. "BLAZBLUE ACTIVATE!" Ragna activates his semblance and starts to glow as he rushes in and punches Scream in the stomach, absorbing her aura.
Natsu ignited his feet, launching himself towards Gray while engulfing his fists in flames. He then punches Gray in the gut with his right fist. Both Natsu and Ragna delivered a right hook into Gray and Scream simultaneously, sending them flying into the center as both of their auras glow blue and white respectively before they shatter.
*BUZZ*
"Damn, what a way to end off the match! Team NCRS will be the final team moving onto the doubles round!" Barret declared. "...I do hope that everyone's ears are okay."
"Hehe. Sorry about that." Natsu laughs awkwardly while rubbing the back of his head after he noticed everyone still recovering from his loud roar.
Crow Bar
"That was a really intense match." The bartender said.
"Hehe, that was a bigger mess than the previous fight." The drunk man chuckled.
"Really? Not even the last match? Then what fight are you here for?" The bartender asked as an airship with elegant ribbons flew by.
"That one." The drunk man finishes his drink and slams it down along with some lien before walking away. "Happy Vytal Festival."
The bartender watches as his drunk customer staggers away and puts down the glass he just finished cleaning, only to knock it down and shatters it when he attempts to reach for another one. "Aw, gee darn it."
Amity Colosseum
"Jeez Natsu, give us a warning before you do that." Cloud chuckled as he and Snake walked over to Natsu and Ragna.
"I said I was sorry." Natsu pouted in annoyance before smiling and laughing as Team NCRS exchanged high fives and a group hug.
"Hey Natsu!" The dragon faunus turns around to see Gray, who is helping Scream walk while comforting her. "You may have won this time, but I'll be sure to kick your butt the next time we fight."
"I like to see you try." Natsu said as the two shared a brief grin before he noticed Scream breathing heavily.
"Hey, is she going to be okay?" Snake asked.
"She'll be fine." Gray reassured as Team LGTS walked over to Team NCRS.
"Meow, meow, meow! You four are really fun! We should hang out sometime!" Tao jumps with joy, earning sweatdrops from Team NCRS.
"Congrats on moving onto the doubles round, Team NCRS." Lightning commended as she held a hand out. "We may be rooting for our Kingdom, but we'll be rooting for you."
"Thanks." Natsu smiles as the two team leaders shake hands.
"Heh, I certainly wasn't expecting that." Jubei chuckles in amusement as he starts to walk out of the colosseum. "I'm going to be broke if I keep these bets up."
"Wow, that was so awesome!" Ruby squealed with stars in her eyes.
"I'm just glad that they're moving onto the doubles round." Blake said with relief before gesturing her hand over her human ears. "And that our ears didn't get permanently damaged."
"I swear, if Cloud would take things seriously at the start of the match, then thing will be different." Weiss sighed.
"Oh come on, you were concerned for your boyfriend." Yang teased, causing the heiress to blush.
"I-I wasn't concerned." Weiss denied.
"You were just as concerned for Natsu when he was getting overpowered, Yang." Blake teased with a smirk, causing Yang to blush even more than Weiss as both Ruby and Blake giggle in amusement.
"That concludes the matches for today." Oobleck announced. "Please leave the arena in A CALM AND ORDERLY FASHION!"
"Come on, let's go congratulate them." Yang said as everyone started to leave the arena.
Right before they can leave, Weiss looks up in the sky and gasps upon seeing the airship flying by, causing Ruby to bump into her partner.
"Hey, what are you looking at?" Ruby asked.
"Cloud." Snake spoke up.
"What is it?" Cloud asked as the stealth soldier pointed up in the sky, causing Cloud to look up and see the airship as he gasped as well.
"She's here." Weiss said with joy.
"Winter's here?" Cloud said in concern.
"Who?" Natsu and Ragna asked in unison as they raised an eyebrow.

I wanted to make sure that Lightning, Gray, Scream, and Tao fit into the world of RWBY while staying true to their character, background, and fighting style. It took a while, but I managed to figure it out.
