Shigaraki surveyed their surroundings.

"It doesn't look like All Might is here. Strange, our information said that he'd be here today." He clasped his fingers together. It was annoying. They'd staged all of this just for the chance to kill the bastard, yet now he wasn't even here?

Had their source been incorrect about the time and place?

It didn't matter. At least not yet. They could still raise a little hell and rouse the man into action. All they had to do was pick off a few of the students first.

"Kurogiri," He began coolly. "Make sure the kids don't escape. We can't have anyone busting in on our plans."

The male beside him nodded once, "Understood."

In an instant he was gone.

Shigaraki cocked his head to the side.

Heroes, huh? He always hated them. They were so high and mighty—always placing themselves on a moral pedestal and snubbing their noses at everyone else. All Might was the worst of them all.

It was his presence that enabled everyone to act so thoughtlessly.

People were always smiling carelessly, as if they didn't have a worry in the world—and that was All Might's fault.

He was the reason why people were so ignorant to the suffering of others.

His gaze slid towards a girl fighting at the center of the action. She was vaguely familiar to him. Her features were hardened with determination yet there was something in her eyes that made him curious.

She didn't bear the edge of condemnation upon her expression. There was something different about the way she was fighting. Something that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

He cocked his head to the side curiously.

Now where had he seen that face before?

"Higurashi, down!" Eraser called to her.

The young woman ducked as his scarf ensnared two of the men he'd brought along.

She lifted herself to her feet and darted towards him at full speed.

Ah, yes now he remembered.

"You're Shinigami's girl, aren't you?" His eyes lit up at the prospect. The media had a field day a few years ago when Higurashi Seiichi's identity had been revealed. The man had long since been in hiding but he surfaced just once. It was around the time Higurashi Norio, his father-in-law, passed away.

Shigaraki curled his lips into a wide grin, "I knew I recognized you. Now it all makes sense."

So even the child of a villain couldn't resist the siren call of the heroes. He could already tell that she was powerful. Her quirk kept most of his men at bay while the rest remained immobilized by Eraser's restraints. The two worked together quite efficiently, but there was some discord in the way they fought.

His fingers twitched.

Perfect.

This would be a prime opportunity to take down All Might and shake the world's faith in U.A.

"Nomu," He addressed the creature beside him. "Capture her for me. Don't hurt her. We'll need the girl alive."

The beast gave an inhuman cry as it stepped forward.

Today he would smash that fragile sense of peace the world had crafted under All Might's image. In its place would be a new society built on the fear of what's to come. It'd be built on the knowledge that death would come for them all.

There would be no exceptions.

Scarlet eyes narrowed at his target.

None except for the few prized possessions he would obtain.
