After the events of the underground, Azure was half-awake at his desk in school, Drake elbowing him out of nowhere, waking him up relatively as he looked over. "What..?" He asked, as Drake slipped a note, before resuming writing notes down for class, Azure deciding to wait until class was over to open it, fortunately being saved by the bell, as they walked out, Azure opened the note.
...It's from Ray? What's he want? Azure wondered, reading the note, before hearing Marisa's voice from behind him.
"What're you up to?" She asked, Azure yelping in surprise, almost dropping the note. "Oh, uh...didn't mean to startle you." She commented. "So, how's the hunt for members going?" She decided to ask him.
"Oh...well, we have our fifth member already." Azure said.
"Really, now? Who is it?" Marisa decided to ask.
"Ray Kazana." Azure answered, as Marisa seemed to flinch at that. "What? Is it about those rumors?" He decided to ask.
"Well...Some of them aren't exactly without credit." She admitted, Azure shaking his head.
"I don't give those rumors any credit. I'll see for myself what Ray's like, without that kind of hearsay." Azure said, walking off. "Anyways, he wanted to meet me after school for some reason, at the Dark Zone park." Azure said.
"The dark zone park? That finally opened?" Marisa asked.
"Yeah, as did the other nation parks...It's a cardfighter's paradise in those, apparently." Azure responded, before walking out the door.
Still...What would someone like Ray want with someone like Azure? ...I can't ignore that. Marisa thought to herself.
After school, Azure had gone home, changed, and met Ray at the park, who was waiting by one of the 'Neo-Fight Arenas' the park came with. "Yo, Azure! Over here!" Ray called out, Azure walking over.
"I'm here, so what did you want?" Azure asked.
"Well, considering we've both got that 'Type 2' Psyqualia, I wanted to know what it'd be like in a fight. So, I want you to fight me. Don't worry, I'm not holding any stakes of 'I'll leave if you bore me', or something stupid like that." Ray commented, before hearing a voice.
"If you're going to fight someone, Ray Kazana..." Marisa said, walking over, and holding her deck out in front of him. "Then I suggest you fight me." She declared.
"Marisa..?" Azure asked.
"Azure, I can't ignore the rumors about him. If he's really dangerous as they say, then I don't think he should be in Azure Crimson." Marisa declared.
"Now hold on..!" Azure started, before Ray cut him off.
"Well, that's disappointing...Fine, lady, If you're that against me joining, I'll just fight you, win, and then get that fight with Azure I wanted." Ray commented.
"Do you...not know about me?" Marisa asked.
"Streamer girl, whatever, I don't care. I don't watch that stuff, and I'm not gonna simp over you like some of those guys around school. Are we fighting, or not?" Ray asked, Marisa blinking.
"Well...Alright then, but you asked for it." Marisa said, putting her deck in.
"I literally asked for Azure, not you." Ray commented, putting his deck in his Neo-Fight System.
"...What am I even watching here..?" Azure wondered out loud.
"Ladies first, now go on so I can get this over with." Ray said.
"Don't underestimate me..! You'll regret it!" Marisa said, before holding her hand out. "Stand up, Vanguard!" She declared, as a unit appeared. "First Aid Celestial, Peniel!"
At that, Ray just yawned. "Alright, stand up, vanguard..." He said, as a being composed of dark matter appeared. "DeVoid N/A." He commented, Marisa looking agitated at that.
"Draw...Ride! Confidence Celestial, Ramjul! Peniel moves back, and I end my turn." Marisa said.

He said, as the dark matter formed into what appeared to be a 'warlock' of dark matter, the quick shield flying into Ray's hand. "N/A, move back, and help InVOKER attack the Vanguard, already." He commented, as the Warlock blasted at the angel.
"No guard..." Marisa said.
"Drive check, then." Ray commented, as the top card showed itself.

"No guard..." Marisa said, as the angel braced itself from an attack from a 'humanoid' composed of dark matter, with snow white 'hair'.

I put another Ramiel, and add the Broken Heart you sent to the damage zone to my hand, then, I can move a damage zone card to the drop zone to deal myself one damage!" Marisa said.

Ray declared, holding up a card, the purple glow in his eyes returning, Azure's eyes slightly widening in realization. "There is no such thing as 'pure light', or 'pure darkness'..! Manifest, and show the light within your darkness! Ride!" Ray declared, slamming the card down, as a pillar of darkness engulfed the area. "DeVoid, Enigma! Imaginary Gift: Force 2! I put it on my Vanguard circle, then with DeVoid StryK, I release the Generation Zone! Generation Stride!" He declared, as another pillar of pure darkness appeared, Azure taking a slight step back, Marisa looking surprised as well.
"Ray..?" Azure asked.
"I am the one who decides my future! I reject the idea of destiny!" Ray declared, as an enhanced version of Enigma appeared, with portals around their arms. "DeVoid, DioVeD! Stride Skill!" Ray declared, counterblasting and soulblasting. "I force Broken Heart and Mel'ejal to switch positions!" Ray said, as the cards engulfed in black energy, before moving to each other's R circles. "DioVeD's skill! I give 2000 power to my Vanguard and N/A, and retire an opponent's rear guard that isn't where they started the turn on!" Ray declared. "Begone, Broken Heart!" He said, as the Enigma blasted Broken Heart into nothingness. "Call! DeVoid NaZO, DeVoid StryK, DeVoid Marionette, DeVoid HeART!" Ray said, as his board was filled immediately. "Marionette's skill!" Ray declared, resting it. "I force your left Maalik and Peniel to swap positions, and give 4000 power to my Vanguard!" Ray declared, Marisa's eyes slightly widening as the two back row units were forced to swap. "DioVeD's skill! 2000 power to NaZO and himself, in addition, retire Peniel!" He said, as the angel was blasted into nothingness.

Ray declared, as the angel was once again blown up into nothingness.
"He forcibly messed with Marisa's formation, as well as took out problem units...Ray really is strong..! Marisa had a solid set-up, but DioVeD really did manipulate it..!" Azure realized.
