A/N I'm so sorry, I never realised I haven't been updating for like, three years. I can't promise I'll update regularly but I'm trying to at least write an ending to this story..
"Don't forget to put this in your suitcase." She handed him the tie that was on his bed. "Rachel will like you wearing it."
Will chuckled. "I think she's pretty ashamed of it actually. Does anyone besides Rachel know about us?" He put the tie in his suitcase.
"I don't think so, I haven't actually seen her since the week she walked in on us making out.. but the last time we talked she promised she wouldn't tell anyone." She looked down. "I'm nervous." She said softly.
"About them knowing we're dating?"
Daphne nodded. "What if they don't approve? They're my friends."
"I'm sure they'll be fine with it, because they are your friends." She watched how he closed his suitcase.
"That's what I thought about Emma." She said softly. "Have you spoken to her since the restaurant?"
Will shook his head and lifted his suitcase from the bed. "No." He put it down on the floor and sighed. "I didn't think she'd react this way."
"Yeah, me either. Especially since she thinks it only started after I left school.. Shannon even supports us." She shook her head. "I'm sure she'll come around, eventually." She took his hand and smiled at him, she hadn't told him she went to see Emma a couple of days ago. "Ready to go?"
"Yeah, sorry I forgot to pack."
Daphne smiled. "Well I did show up unannounced yesterday."
"I'm glad you did."
"How about we get going? Don't want to miss our flight."
"Sure." He pulled his trolley from the bed and carried it to the front door. "Got everything?"
She grabbed her backpack from the ground and nodded. "Think so, my suitcase is in the car already."
…
"Rachel insisted on picking us up." Daphne said as the fasten-seatbelt sign turned off as they reached 30.000 ft. "She has a chauffeur and she wanted to give us a ride to the hotel." Will nodded, but he didn't look at her. "Are you worrying about crashing?"
"Maybe. Don't sing a song."
Daphne smiled. "I wasn't going to, I have other means of distraction this time."
He turned towards her, about to ask her what that might be when she kissed him. "That does relax me a little." He took her hand. "Fear of flying is irrational, right?"
"Right. Car accidents on the other hand, that's pretty rational. More people die driving then any other means of transportation."
"That doesn't make me feel better, at all."
Daphne chuckled. "Sorry, how about.." She grabbed a New York guide from his bag. "What are we going to do in New York?"
"Whatever you want, but if you wanted to go see a base- or basketball game I would be okay with that."
"Sure, I'm pretty certain we can fit that in. Rachel is tomorrow, how about we just choose something to eat today? We land at 3 pm."
"Sounds great, is it going to be just Rachel?"
Daphne nodded. "Jep."
…
Daphne texted Rachel they landed as they walked passed baggage claim. "I'm always so happy if we only use carry-on. I hate waiting for my bags.." She said as she put away her phone. They walked into the arrival hall and spotted Rachel. She looked very happy to see them and was slightly bouncing.
"Finally!" She hugged first Daphne and then Will. "I'm so happy to see you both! It's been way too long. How was your flight?"
"We're happy to see you too Rach." Daphne said.
Will smiled at Rachel. "And our flight was fine." He said. "Uneventful. So, lead the way to your car?"
Rachel led the way, when they reached the car they said hello to their chauffeur and he put the bags in the trunk.
"Okay, take us home." Rachel smiled at her driver as they got in.
Daphne and Will shared a look before looking at Rachel. "Hotel, Rach."
"Our friends wanted you to stay at our place, but I'm sure they'll let you go to your hotel once they see Will."
"Rachel.."
"We've got cake."
Will smiled at her. "Sounds great." He took Daphne's hand again. "It's fine, they'll get used to it." He gently took her chin and kissed her. "We have to face them sometime."
"Okay."
"I do have to get used to that." Rachel said, making Daphne blush.
"Sorry Rach, I'll try to remember not to kiss him in front of you."
"No, no. That's not what I meant, it's fine. Just.. strange." She smiled at them. "You do look cute together."
It wasn't long until the driver pulled over. Daphne turned to Will. "Can you get our bags? Then I'll go and tell them."
"Sure." He gave her a soft kiss. "Relax, it'll be fine." He kissed her again, a little longer this time.
"Thanks." She ran up the stairs to Rachel's apartment. She opened the door and her friends pulled her in.
"Hi!" They all hugged her. "This," Blaine said gesturing to the couch. "Is going to be your bed for the next couple of days."
"We called your hotel, to cancel your room but they couldn't find any reservation under Daphne Smith." Kurt said.
Daphne nodded. "That's because our room isn't in my name."
"Our room?" Santana asked.
"Yeah, I uuh didn't come alone guys." Daphne blushed slightly and her palms got sweaty.
"What name is it in? Do we know him?"
Daphne looked down, still scared this wasn't a good idea. "Yeah, you know him."
Will stepped inside. "It's in my name." He smiled at them as he put the bags down.
They were all quiet for a second. "Oh, it's just Mr Schue. Here I was thinking you had a boyfriend. Then you can still stay on the couch." Blaine said.
"I do have a boyfriend. It's not Mr Schue the glee/Spanish-teacher." They all looked at her questioningly. "It's Will." She took his hand. "My.. boyfriend."
It was quiet for a second. "Wanky!" Santana smiled at them.
Rachel walked in. "How about some cake?"
"Cake sounds great, we'll help." She wanted to drag Will towards the kitchen but Rachel stopped her.
"You stay here, we can handle this." She looked expectantly at Will.
He leaned in close so the others couldn't hear him. "If you want, you can tell them the truth instead of the party-line." He smiled gently and gave her a soft kiss before following Rachel towards the kitchen.
"So.." Santana asked. "You and Mr Schue?"
"Will. Yes."
"When?" Kurt asked.
Daphne sighed. "Promise me you won't tell anyone, any of you." They all nodded. "After the barbecue."
"The one last month?"
"The one 13 months ago."
Mercedes' brow furrowed. "Wait, you've been dating Mr Schue for over a year?"
"Will."
"You really expect us to call him Will?"
Daphne nodded. "I would really prefer it, yes. The teacher thing isn't really.. a highlight for us."
"So you've been dating Will for over a year?"
"Not really." Daphne sighed and sat down on the couch. "We dated for about 6 months, before we were blackmailed into breaking up."
"Blackmailed?"
Will came in. "Sue." He gave everyone a piece of cake before sitting next to Daphne. "One of her many tries to destroy the glee-club."
Santana looked at Rachel. "And you knew all of this?"
"Pretty much."
"How?"
She glanced at Daphne, seeing her nod. "I may have walked in on a kiss and forced her to tell me."
"Where were you kissing that she could walk in on it?"
Daphne blushed. "Auditorium, we were waiting for Jake. I was a little upset, I wanted to feel happy for just a couple of minutes."
"I bet you did." Santana muttered.
"So your date with my brother?" Blaine asked.
"Dating Will."
"Nationals in New York?"
"Not dating yet."
Santana smiled. "But there was something there?"
Will smiled at Santana. "Yes."
"But you really weren't off banging him on the beach?"
Daphne full out laughed. "No! I told you then, I wasn't sleeping with him."
"Los Angeles?" Blaine asked.
"Broken up." Will smiled gently at Daphne, knowing how nervous she was and this felt like an inquiry. He took her hand, in an attempt to make her feel more comfortable.
They all looked at each other. "I guess we always knew this would happen." Mercedes said. "I mean, you know.."
Daphne smiled. "No, I don't know."
Blaine smiled and decided to be the one to explain. "Well you and Mr Schue- Will, sorry.. You and Will always did seem kinda good together." He said.
"Enough about us." Daphne said as she grabbed her cake. "How are you guys doing here?"
"We're good." Rachel said, smiling.
Santana smiled at Daphne. "You tell us you've been banging Mr Schue for a year and expect us not to talk about it all day?"
"Will. I hoped, yeah.." She took a bite of her cake.
"It doesn't work like that." Santana smiled again. "So, are you two moving in together?"
"Honestly Santana, we haven't talked about it yet." Will answered. "Daphne doesn't know what she wants to do just yet, so until then we both live in Lima. Once she figures it out, we'll see what we do."
"I can't believe you were pretending nothing happened in glee, while you were sleeping with him." Kurt said.
Daphne smiled. "It wasn't that easy, it took us a long while before we got things started. I mean, his job was on the line. We fought it for months before just giving in."
"But still, while we were sitting there in glee you two were sleeping together." Mercedes said. "I can't believe we didn't notice anything."
"Funny story actually." Daphne said, unsure if she should tell this but right now seemed to be moment to come clean. "I don't know if you remember this, but in New York I disappeared one night. And you all went searching for me?"
"Yeah, Mr.. Will said he found you on the roof or something right?"
"Yeah, well. He did, an hour before you came knocking on his door Mercedes."
Mercedes' eyes grew wide. "You were in his room?"
"Yep, hiding in the bathroom actually." Daphne laughed. "We figured it'd be strange that I was in my teachers room at 2 in the morning."
Will smiled. "We worked really hard to make sure you guys wouldn't find out Mercedes."
"Wait, have you guys ever done it at school? Like, in between classes or something." Santana asked again.
"Uhm." Daphne said, not really wanting to answer but not wanting to lie either.
Will smiled at Daphne. "Uhm." He repeated.
"Oh my god! You totally did. Where?" Daphne and Will looked at each other. "Or maybe the better question is, where not?"
"We've uuh.. let's leave this up to your imagination." Daphne smiled when Santana's brow furrowed. "But it's not like we've done it all over the school or something." She looked at Will. "Although, Sue's desk would have been funny. We should have done that, actually."
Will raised his eyebrows. "We still can." He said, making everyone laugh.
"So," Santana said. "Is he as good as I think?"
"I'm right here Santana." Will said, making Daphne laugh.
"I think that means I shouldn't tell you."
Santana leaned in closer and whispered. "Give a girl a little something. I never thought much until I saw him without his shirt."
"Whatever answer I give you, it's never good enough. So I'm just going to say that I love him, and that I very much enjoy making love with him."
Santana glared at her. "But good enough that you couldn't wait until you were home and needed him at school."
"Desperately needed him." She smiled and took a bite of cake. "But that's all I'm gonna say about it, so don't bother asking me for more." She smiled at the look on Will's face. "Like you didn't know how desperately I needed you." She leaned over and kissed him softly.
"Ok, seeing this.. super weird." Kurt said.
