Katsuki and Eijirou woke up the next morning, wrapped in each other's bodies. Katsuki had, in fact, been holding onto Eijirou's shirt whilst the redhead had thrown a leg over Katsuki's hip. The blond was the first to wake, thanks to his internal body clock and the cat that was asking for a cuddle. Katsuki allowed her to squash herself in between himself and Eijirou's chests.
When Eijirou awoke, neither of them made the move to get out of bed. Instead they stayed cuddled together, talking sleepily as they both pet Hoshi, who purred.
They only got out of bed when Mitsuki came to wake them up for breakfast. She had knocked quietly before coming in, surprising Katsuki who was much more used to her brash attitude and the way she'd usually burst in.
The family ate breakfast together before they separated to get ready for the day. Eijirou then helped Katsuki pack all of his belongings to go back to the dorms. Katsuki was somewhat sad to leave his parents. Even though he'd been bored and he'd missed his friends, he had enjoyed being home.
He'd liked the fact that his parents had taken care of him, that he hadn't had to worry about anything. Katsuki had gotten to sleep as late as he wanted and not had to worry about attending classes. He'd not had to worry about food, his father was always on hand to cook for him when he didn't feel like cooking himself. And of course, his father showered him in sweet treats and affection, something Katsuki didn't know he had missed.
By lunch time, Katsuki had packed all of his belongings and had made sure all of Hoshi's things were ready to come with them. Eijirou had tried his best to help, but at the end of the day he didn't know where Katsuki kept things nor what he wanted to take with him. So, instead he ended up playing with both Hoshi and Emiko.
After a quick lunch, Masaru and Mitsuki drove Katsuki, Eijirou and Hoshi back to U.A. Unlike the last time, Katsuki's parents didn't come inside. Instead Eijirou and Katsuki gathered all of their things together and got ready to go in alone.
Katsuki kissed his parent's goodbye before picking up Hoshi's travel case and some of his bags. Eijirou carried his own bag and one of Katsuki's as they turned to head inside. Neither Katsuki nor Eijirou had told the class that Katsuki was returning that day, deciding to keep it on the downlow. Thus, when the two of them entered, it was safe to say people were excited.
It appeared that they had walked in on a sleepy movie day. Everyone was still in their pyjamas or loungewear, watching some animated movie. All of them were focused on the movie, so they didn't hear the door opening.
Katsuki immediately put Hoshi's cage down, letting her out. She chirruped as she stepped out, and Katsuki bent down and pet her. She purred, butting her head against his hand. Another meow made Katsuki look to his left. Cashmere had apparently been the first to notice the new arrivals. The hairless cat rubbed his body against Katsuki's legs before bumping noses with Hoshi.
"Hello Cashmere. Hakamata misses you." He said, petting his head. "Yes, he does, very much. He's going to give you the biggest hug when he sees you. You're going to get so many treats, and jackets." He pet both cats with each of his hands, making them both purr.
"Woah Kirishima, how did you get here?" Kaminari's voice rang out. Katsuki stood back up, his body no longer obscured by the table and chairs.
"With me, you moron." Katsuki said, a smile on his face.
"Kacchan!" Kaminari said, standing with a smile on his face.
"Blasty!" Mina screeched.
"Wait, you can hear?" Izuku added.
Everyone was up on their feet, the movie forgotten. They came towards Katsuki and Eijirou. Katsuki couldn't help but smiled at the sight.
"Thanks to Hatsume from the support course, yes I can hear." Katsuki said.
"That's brilliant, Bakugou." Sero said.
"I'm glad you're okay, man, you scared us all." Shinsou said.
"What did Hatsume do?" Izuku asked.
"She made some hearing aids. They're fucking awesome, I think I can hear better than before with them. I'm fucked without them, I can't hear much. But I can do practically anything with them."
"That's great Kacchan." Izuku smiled. "You can still be a hero."
"Gonna be the best fucking hero." Katsuki said. "Just watch."
"Okay, okay." Mina said. "We get it."
"Can we hug you now?" Kaminari asked.
"Fine, those of you who want a hug, form a fucking queue." Katsuki said.
All of the Bakusquad began to make a line, and all of the class followed.
"Really? All of you?" Katsuki asked.
"I don't know if I'll ever get the chance again." Shouji shrugged.
"Oui, mon ami, it is the opportunity of a lifetime." Aoyama said with a hand flourish.
"Fine." Katsuki rolled his eyes.
Eijirou was the first person Katsuki hugged, pressing a kiss to his cheek. Kaminari was next, he was practically bouncing up and down on the spot with excitement. Katsuki wrapped his arms around the electric boy.
"Where's my kiss?" Kaminari teased. Katsuki smacked the back of his head instead. "Ow."
"Shut up." Katsuki said.
Mina was next, she squeezed him as tight as she was able. Sero's hug was looser, he patted Katsuki on the back as he pulled away.
"I'm glad you're back, bro."
Jirou's embrace was a lot more timid. She went up on her tiptoes to wrap her arms around his neck. But Katsuki hugged her tight, picking her up off the ground slightly. She laughed as he did so and when he put her down, she punched him in the arm.
Next was Kaminari.
"I already hugged you." Katsuki said. Kaminari pouted and made grabby hands towards Bakugou.
"More hug." He said simply. Katsuki rolled his eyes.
"Come on then, you idiot." Katsuki sighed, hugging him again.
Izuku came after. He too went up on his tiptoes to hug Katsuki.
"I'm going to be Number One." Izuku said softly.
"You wish Nerd, I'll destroy you." Katsuki said.
"Bring it on, Kacchan." Izuku smiled. Katsuki smirked.
Shouto followed Izuku. The hug between the two of them was brief and awkward. It was clear to Katsuki that Shouto didn't really know how to hug someone. The temperature difference between the two sides of Shouto's body was shocking to Katsuki. He'd never really touched both sides at the same time before.
"Can I give Hoshi a cuddle?" Shouto asked.
"Go for it Shouto." Katsuki said. The boy smiled, moving away to pick up the cat.
Shinsou was next in the line. He scratched the back of his neck before he took a step closer.
"I'm sorry I couldn't do more to help." He said.
"You did everything you could." Katsuki said. "Don't worry about it."
Iida's hug was stunted and brief, Uraraka was excited and a little too tight. Katsuki found hugging Hagakure strange, she was as solid as any other person despite that fact he couldn't see her. Shouji was also strange, Katsuki was completely surrounded in limbs and he felt like a child being cocooned in a parent's embrace.
Satou and Ojiro's hugs were crushing and Kouda's was deceptively feather-light.
"Kaminari, fuck off." Katsuki sighed as Kaminari appear in the queue again.
"Please."
Katsuki was going soft. He hugged the boy again and continued down the dwindling line. Momo was sweet and she smelt strongly of perfume. Tsu was stronger than she looked. Aoyama was covered in glitter, leaving Katsuki's turtleneck sparkly.
Tokoyami was the last in the line, hanging back slightly. He seemed torn about whether he actually wanted a hug or not. Dark Shadow floated by his side. Katsuki cocked his head to the side, not wanting to force the boy but not wanting to push him away either.
"Come on Fumi." Dark Shadow said.
"Tokoyami?" Katsuki asked.
"I understand if you do not wish to get close to Dark Shadow." Tokoyami said, looking at the ground.
"I don't think anyone has a problem with Dark Shadow." Katsuki said. "Come here." He closed the gap between himself Tokoyami. He embraced the other teen, petting Dark Shadow on the nose... beak?
"Actually, let's clear this up now." Katsuki said when he pulled away. "Does anyone have a problem with Dark Shadow?"
After a chorus of no's Katsuki turned to Tokoyami, petting Dark Shadow once more.
"See. I think he's an awesome Quirk."
"Thank you. In the past people have treated him like a monster." Tokoyami pet Dark Shadow, the demon nuzzled into his chest.
"Yeah Tokoyami. Dark Shadow is such a useful and effective tool. You'll be a great hero with him." Izuku said.
"He's so soft and sweet, why would anyone not like him, kero?" Tsuyu said.
"I guess people are superstitious."
"I'd kill to have a Quirk like that." Eijirou said. "I'm pretty much a one trick pony with Hardening, but you can do so much with Dark Shadow. I envy all of you with long range Quirks."
"Thank you, Kirishima, but I believe your Quirk to be exceptional." Tokoyami said.
"Nah. All I can really do is take damage, I can't really do much." Eijirou shrugged.
"Not going down when you get hit makes you pretty strong in my book." Katsuki said. "I thought you said you were an unwavering horse, right? Sure, you might not be long range, but your strength lies in different areas. No one here has taken an explosion and walked away undamaged, except you."
"You didn't even flinch when I hit you with Full Cowling." Izuku added.
"Yeah and my acid didn't do anything against Hardening." Mina laughed.
"I guess." Eijirou said.
"Don't put yourself down Ei, your Quirk is part of you. You shouldn't feel ashamed of it." Katsuki said, kissing Eijirou's forehead.
"Yeah, none of us would be here if we didn't have the ability to be a hero." Kaminari said.
"I guess you're right." Eijirou said with a smile.
With the help of Shinsou, Shouto and Eijirou, Katsuki moved his things back up to his room, unpacking quickly whilst Hoshi and Cashmere played on the cat platforms. Cashmere was somewhat hesitant on the platforms as opposed to Hoshi's overconfident leaps.
They then went back down into the common room and joined in on the movie night. They all cuddled together, revelling in the fact that for the first time Class 1.A. was together properly.
They spent the rest of the day together, watching movies and eventually ordered pizza, curtesy of Shouto. Shinsou had made shortbread the night before in another spree of nighttime baking. So the class ate them for dessert.
Katsuki hung out with them for hours, but when 9 PM rolled around he could barely keep his eyes open anymore, so he went up to bed, followed by Hoshi and Cashmere. He didn't protest the cats' actions, instead he allowed them both to curl up with him in bed, acting like two little hot water bottles. He drifted off the sleep with Hoshi on his feet and Cashmere by his side.
The next morning, Katsuki was forced to do something he really didn't want to do. Due to the dark blossoming bruises decorating his neck he had to wear a tie. Well, in reality, he didn't need to wear a tie, but he couldn't exactly wear another turtleneck to class. So, he'd done up his top button up and then decided that without a tie, it looked fucking stupid.
So, he'd gone through his draws, trying to find where he had shoved his tie when he had moved in. Eventually he found it, wedged in the back of his sock drawer. Katsuki put it on, tying it with ease. He spent several minutes sitting on his bed, alternating between which cat he was stroking as he fought back the panic clawing at his chest, until there was a knock at his door. Eijirou came in immediately after knocking.
"Are you okay? We need to go to class?"
"Yeah." Katsuki said, playing with the end of his tie.
"Oh, you're wearing—"
"Can we not talk about it. It's already freaking me out." Katsuki said.
"Yeah, sure." Eijirou said, taking one of Katsuki's hands, pulling him to stand. "Come on, let's go to class."
Getting back into the flow of classes was strange for Katsuki. Of course, he had completed all of his set work whilst he had been home, but it wasn't the same as being in a class environment. He found that there were gaps in his knowledge and he was forced to rely heavily on Momo's notes to get through the classes.
Shinsou was surprisingly smart. Well, surprisingly was the wrong word. Katsuki had never really thought about the boy's academic ability, however, after considering it for a moment, he had to assume that the General Studies students would have had a more comprehensive and complete education.
As it turned out, he was academically further ahead that the Hero Course students, except in regard to Hero Law. Physically, he wasn't as strong as the rest of the class, yet. He obviously hadn't had much experience in sparring.
This meant Shinsou settled quiet highly in regard to their grades. Katsuki was still third, however, Shouto had fallen down to 6th whilst Shinsou took 5th. Shouto didn't seem bothered by the new results, simply saying he knew he was failing Modern Hero Art History since he wrote an essay discussing how the massive statue of his father at Endeavour Agency was overcompensating for something.
Katsuki worked hard to catch up, knowing he only needed to increase his average grade up only slightly, to push Iida from second place. It was frustrating to Katsuki that academics were weighting more heavily than physical results, because he'd already be top of his class if it was the other way around.
At the end of the day, Aizawa held him back.
"Sensei?"
"How are you doing, problem child?" Aizawa asked.
"I'm okay. I'm a little further behind then I thought I'd be, but I'll figure it out." Katsuki said, adjusting his bag on his shoulder.
"Well, if you need any help catching up, I can meet with you after school and tutor you." Aizawa said.
"Thank you, Momo said she'd help, we usually study together." Katsuki said.
"Good." Aizawa nodded, putting stacks of paper into his messenger bag. "Should I expect you to start wearing your tie all the time, or is it just to try and hide the hickies on your neck?" Katsuki sighed, pink blush colouring his cheeks.
"Well evidently it didn't work." Katsuki said and Aizawa snorted.
"I'm supposed to look for little details." The teacher shrugged. "Bruises on a students neck are usually a cause for concern. But I can tell the difference between abuse and a little too enthusiastic boyfriend." Katsuki's blush darkened.
"Erm yeah. I'm fine. Eijirou might not be so lucky when I find him." Aizawa let out a laugh, shaking his head.
"I didn't ask you to stay behind to ask about your tie." He said. "Hound Dog want to meet you. He wanted to see you as soon as you came back. I think he wanted to see you at the hospital, but he couldn't get away."
"He's free now? We don't normally meet on Mondays?"
"Yes. He's all over the place right now. Over the last week he's being seeing all of your class, some of them have had to be fit into his regular schedule as he felt they needed more time. He's had to rearrange people. At this point I think he's having to work through lunch and pull people out of class."
"He's seeing that many people?" Katsuki asked.
"Well, Vlad got all of 1.B. to talk to him as well, I assume some of those see him regularly now. I don't know."
"Oh. Okay. I'll go now then." Katsuki shrugged. "Erm. Hawks told me what you did, with the Hero Commission. Thank you."
"I didn't do much, Problem Child. They weren't very cooperative."
"Yeah, but you tried. Not many people would." Katsuki said.
"They said that they'd change your results from failure to did not finish, which apparently looks better on your record. I don't know." Katsuki nodded.
"Thanks." Katsuki said again. "I appreciate it."
"You're a good kid, Katsuki. You didn't deserve what happened."
"I'm okay, Sensei. It was an accident, there's nothing can do about it now." Katsuki said.
"If you need anything, and I mean anything. Come to me, okay?"
"I will. Don't worry." Katsuki said with a smiled. "I best be off."
"I'll see you tomorrow, Katsuki." Aizawa said, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
Katsuki nodded and left the classroom behind. He walked the familiar path to Hound Dog's office, knocking on the half open door. A gruff voice called for him to enter and he did. Hound Dog was at his desk, wire glasses resting on his snout.
"Bakugou." He greeted.
"Hey."
"Sit, please." Katsuki did as he was asked. "How are you doing? You've been through a lot since we last spoke?"
"Yeah. A lot." Katsuki said.
"Is there anything in particular you want to talk about?"
"I don't know, I feel fine." Katsuki said.
"I know you were looking forward to getting your licence. How do you feel about not passing?"
"I don't know." Katsuki shrugged, playing with the end of his tie.
"You used to respond with anger?" Inui prompted.
"I'm not really angry." Katsuki said. "It's not like I could have done anything? I got hurt. Maybe if I had done something wrong, maybe then I'd be angry, at myself. But…" he trailed off, frowning.
"But?" Inui asked after a moment of silence.
"Not getting my licence… it seems almost trivial when you… I could have died. No one really talks about it, but if Eijirou hadn't moved my hands… I remember, they were pressed against my head." He echoed the movement. "If Eijirou hadn't moved them, I would have killed myself. By accident. I almost lost my hearing… I don't care that I didn't get it. I'm alive. I'm able to hear. That's enough."
"For now maybe." Inui said. "But what about in a couple of weeks? When your classmates have started their internships?"
"I don't know." Katsuki said for what felt like the millionth time. "That's in the future. Right now, I don't care. Maybe tomorrow, I'll feel different. But I won't know that until then."
"I'm worried you're repressing things. Bottling them up because you don't want to deal with them. It's easier to say it's tomorrows problem than it is to deal with it today."
"What do you want me to say?" Katsuki sighed.
"I want you to tell me what's really going on."
"I don't know." Katsuki snapped. "Relieved that I can hear, that I'm alive. Stressed because I'm behind in class work, embarrassed because I failed that stupid test. I'm worried about Hakamata. I miss my Mom and Dad, even though I've only been gone a day. I don't know a word to describe that. I. Don't. Know."
"It's okay, Katsuki. You're allowed to feel more things at once." Inui said softly. "You don't have to define it all. You're allowed to not know."
"Then why push?" Katsuki asked.
"Because I need you to be honest with yourself, at the very least. I need you to know how you feel. It's the only way you can move on with everything." Inui said.
"I don't know what to move on from." Katsuki said.
"Well, with class work, take it slow and do what you can. Don't push yourself too far. You shouldn't be embarrassed, we all make mistakes and I promise you, Hakamata is on the mend, he'll be okay. And as for missing your parents, I can only suggest you call them or arrange a visit."
"Yeah I'll call them." Katsuki said. "I know my Mom wants me to call more."
"Also surround yourself with your friends, your boyfriend. Try to relax a bit, okay?" Inui said. "I know it probably seems like the last thing you should do, but mentally, you've not had the chance to rest."
"Okay." Katsuki nodded. "I'll hang out with my friends or something."
"Good. And you know, if and when that day comes, the one where this hits you and you feel down, come to me. My door is open for you anytime, okay?"
"Yeah." Katsuki nodded. "Thanks."
"I see you're wearing a tie? Have you been making process with your difficulties with things around your neck?"
"Hakamata was helping, with light fabrics and stuff. But I've never been one for doing things slowly, I just put it on today. I had trouble for a bit, but once I got to class and took my mind off of it, I was okay."
"That's good. Do you think it's something you could do more? Wear it more often?"
"Yeah. I think so. Maybe not everyday, but I can start."
"Don't push yourself too far, too fast." Inui said. "But I'm proud of you. I know that this was a big cause of your anxiety."
"At the exam… one of the other contestants choked me, but it was strange. His Quirk, it made it so I didn't really need to breath, if that makes sense. I guess I didn't have time to panic or focus on anything but what was going on around me. I put it to the back of my mind and just carried on. I couldn't breathe, but it didn't matter. It's sounds stupid when I say it aloud."
"Quirks can do strange things." Inui said. "There's a treatment, for phobias usually, called Flooding. It has debated success but involves exposing a patient to the thing they are afraid of for a long period of time. For example, someone who is scared of spiders would be made to hold a spider."
"It works under the principle that there is a limit to how anxious or fearful someone can feel. The patient is supposed to reach that point whilst being with the fear stimulus and eventually, the body would calm down in its presence."
"You think that's what could have happened with me?"
"To some extent, maybe. Your brain may have reached the point where it had to stop panicking and realise that it was okay. That you weren't going to be hurt or anything. You had to relax. Now your body recognises that you're not in danger."
"Oh." Katsuki said.
"It might still be an issue for you. But I it's a step in the right direction."
Later on, Katsuki and Shouto were on the common room sofa. Katsuki was going through Momo's notes, writing up his own version. Shouto, was the only other member of their study group who was free. Momo had plans with Jirou and Iida had gone to visit his brother. Midoriya was off with All Might and Eijirou had gone with Amajiki to Fat Gum's agency.
Shouto was reading a book, whilst Cashmere was asleep on his lap. Hoshi was sat next to Katsuki, on the pile of discarded notes.
"Is that French?" Katsuki asked.
"Yes." Shouto said simply.
"I didn't know you could speak French." Shouto shrugged.
"I learnt when I was little. Father wanted me to learn, I had a tutor."
"Did you do anything fun as a child?"
"Learning French was fun." Shouto said.
"Weirdo." Katsuki said.
"I think you're weird for liking fighting as much as you do, but you don't hear me saying shit about it." Shouto said, turning the page.
"Does Aoyama know?"
"Why would he know?"
"Cuz he's French? Or likes France? I don't know man." Katsuki shrugged, Gods Kaminari was affecting how he spoke.
"No." Shouto said simply. Katsuki snorted, putting his notebook away and picking up his maths text book. He shifted slightly to lie down slightly, resting his head on Shouto's shoulder. "What are you doing?"
"Using you as a pillow." Katsuki said, opening his textbook.
"Why?"
"You're warm."
"Only on my left. It's because of my Quirk." Shouto said, confused. Katsuki sighed.
"I'm using you as a pillow because you're warm. I get cold easy. Just think of me as another cat."
"You're not a cat though." Shouto said before gasping. "Are you a furry?"
"How do you even know what a furry is?"
"Kaminari was telling me, because I have a cat onesie and he thought I was one. I'm not. I just like cats."
"I'm not either. And even if I was, I wouldn't be a cat."
"What's wrong with cats?"
"Nothing." Katsuki said. "I just don't want to be one." Shouto seemed to go back to his book. Hoshi jumped over Katsuki's legs, coming to lie in front of him.
"Are you reading your maths book?"
"Yeah." Katsuki said. "I've got to learn the theory somehow."
"But French is weird." Shouto said.
"Shut up. I didn't bring another book down." Katsuki grumbled.
"Well that was stupid of you." Shouto said.
"Shut up." Katsuki muttered.
It didn't take long for Katsuki to fall asleep. As much as he liked Maths as a subject, trying to read the textbook was never going to end well. He was comfortably warm, pressed against Shouto's side. The textbook eventually fell to the floor and Hoshi pressed herself closer to Katsuki's body.
Shouto didn't mind the other teen's presence, he enjoyed it, in fact. He was able to experience physical closeness without the additional awkwardness he naturally brought to any encounter. Shouto relaxed against Katsuki and continued to read his book.
Occasionally, people came down to grab food or a drink. But no one really stopped down for long. Luckily, Katsuki and Shouto had already eaten, so they were able to just stay as they were. Shouto didn't know how much time had passed, he had lost himself in his book. All he did know, was that by the time Kirishima got back to the dorms it was dark outside and he felt sleepy. Katsuki was still asleep.
"Hey Shouto." Kirishima greeted, walking towards the sofas. He was wearing his hero costume, which was dirty and torn. He wasn't wearing his face guard and he was covered in little bruises.
"Hello. Your boyfriend is asleep on me." He said, putting his book down. Katsuki had moved in the time Shouto had been reading. Katsuki's head was on Shouto's lap, the cats squished between them.
"Oh, how come?"
"I don't know. He said I was warm." Shouto shrugged.
"Do you want me to get him up." Kirishima asked. He came to stand next to the sofas, looking down at Shouto and Katsuki.
"Please. I want to go to bed myself. But he's cute and I don't want to wake him." Shouto said.
"Yeah, I get that." Kirishima laughed. He moved closer, bending down he tapped Katsuki's shoulder. "Kats, Baby, wake up." He said softly.
Katsuki blinked his eyes open owlishly, for a moment he was dazed, but his eyes eventually focused on Eijirou.
"Red." He said simply.
"Hi Sweetheart. Do you want to go to bed? You can sleep in your own bed." Eijirou held her hand out to Katsuki who took it tiredly.
"Okay."
"Good boy, come on." Eijirou pulled Katsuki to his feet. Hoshi stretched, her tail up in the air, pink tongue poking out her mouth as she yawned. Katsuki yawned too, his eyes half closed.
"Night Icyhot."
"Goodnight Bakugou."
"Just fuckin' call me Katsuki asshole." Katsuki said. "You call it me sometimes."
"Okay. Goodnight Katsuki." Shouto said. "Are you taking Cashmere?"
"You've got stuff for him in your room, haven't you? I had him last night."
"Yeah, I'll take him then." Shouto nodded, petting the cat asleep by his side.
"Night Shouto." Eijirou said, pulling Katsuki towards the stairs.
"Goodnight Kirishima."
"You can call me Eijirou you know. I feel weird calling you by your given name but you not doing the same." Shouto nodded.
"Thank you."
"Come on." Katsuki said, this time it was him who was doing the pulling. Hoshi leapt off of the sofa to follow Katsuki as Eijirou stumbled after them. They went up to their floor and straight into Katsuki's bedroom. After glancing at the clock Katsuki saw it was almost 11.
"You're back late?" Katsuki said.
"I was with the police." Eijirou replied.
"The police? Why? What happened?" Katsuki asked, suddenly awake.
"I'm fine Kats." Eijirou said, sitting down on Katsuki's bed. "Fat Gum wanted to take me on a patrol after he signed my contract. He just meant to show me the area, but we got involved with some villains."
"Are you okay?" Katsuki asked, sitting next to him. Hoshi jumped up onto the bed, nudging Katsuki's hand with her head.
"Yeah. I took a bullet, but it bounced right off." Eijirou smiled. "I got to use my special move again."
"Unbreakable? I didn't know you'd used it in combat before."
"What do you think I used with you?" Eijirou nudged Katsuki's shoulder. "I didn't really have time to think about it then, but I must have gone that far."
"Oh." Katsuki said. "I guess I hadn't thought about it. Why did you need to use it?"
"This guy's Quirk, it was like he could make knives come from his body. Kind of like Yaomomo but if all she could make was knives." Eijirou said. "He took this Quirk enhancing drug or something. There were like, four civilians behind me, I knew I had to protect them, took whatever blows the villain gave." Eijirou shrugged.
"Where was Fat Gum? Amajiki?"
"Dealing with the other villains. The guy I was fighting ran away. Amajiki got shot with a weird bullet, like it erased his Quirk. Like it wasn't a suppressant, he said it was like his Quirk was completely gone."
"Will he get it back?"
"I think so, one of the villains said it was temporary." Eijirou shrugged. "I know they're not exactly trustworthy but why would he lie?"
"I guess." Katsuki said softly. "So, you saved some people, huh?" Eijirou laughed.
"I guess I did."
"Look at that, my boyfriend's a real hero." Katsuki smiled.
"You think?"
"Ei, I'm pretty sure that counts as your debut." Katsuki said.
"Wow." Eijirou said. "I'm a hero."
"I'm proud of you, Eiji." Katsuki said, kissing him lightly.
"Thank you." Eijirou said. "I should let you go to sleep. It's late."
"Stay." Katsuki said. "I want to cuddle."
"I've got to shower." Eijirou said, standing. "But I'll come back, okay?"
"Okay." Katsuki said. Eijirou kissed Katsuki's forehead.
"Don't wait up."
Katsuki nodded and Eijirou left. He got ready for bed and by the time Eijirou came back Katsuki was in bed. The light was off and Katsuki was half asleep with Hoshi curled up next to his chest. He jumped slightly as Eijirou climbed into bed, before relaxing.
Eijirou wrapped his arm around Katsuki's waist and kissed his jaw.
"Love you." Katsuki mumbled. Knowing he couldn't hear him Eijirou smiled, kissing Katsuki's cheek he intertwined their hands and allowed himself to drift off to sleep.
Homeroom the next day was a little chaotic. News of Eijirou's patrol had spread, with several news channels discussing the new Sturdy Hero: Red Riot. The class surrounded him excitedly, loudly trying to find everything out about the incident.
It wasn't long before it was revealed that both Froppy and Uravity were also in the news thanks to some work they had done for their internship. The classroom was full of giggling and excited chatter. Katsuki felt so much overwhelming pride when he looked at Eijirou. His boyfriend was so happy and ecstatic at being recognised for his abilities.
He spoke animatedly with Sero and Jirou as Mina and Kaminari chanted Red Riot at the top of their lungs. Momo and Hagakure were talking to Asui whilst Izuku and Iida surrounded Uraraka.
But something niggled at the back of his mind. A tiny little voice that whispered to him. He tried to block it out. To push it away and focus on the pride. But as he glanced back to Shouto and Shinsou, that voice grew louder.
Maybe that day Hound Dog had been talking about wasn't as far away as Katsuki first thought.
