It has been Day 8Gq# of statewide lockdown in Michigan. For Clyde, this is another alarming day to stay at home and listen to virtual classes in Google Classroom. And it gets meandering everyday, navigating all the four corners of his house. No matter how hard his parents try to keep him occupied and sane for the entire day, Clyde seems reserved to succumbing to cabin fever if he does not get off his routine. Even his online MMORPG sessions with Lincoln, Rusty, Liam and Zack does not help him. For that night, he simply stays on bed, rocking back and forth.

For a change, Clyde opens his window curtains for the first time. It has been a while since he last opened them. Even during quarantine, he did not mind them. But he wishes to do it to find any source of composure.

To his surprise, Clyde spots a familiar face from two blocks away – Chloe, still on her beret. Clyde hides him in embarrassment but he pops it back to confirm that it is truly Chloe that he saw from afar. And from his view, he spots her reading a book on her bed.

Currently, the McBride kid has not been communicating with anyone else from his class, aside from Lincoln. And as for Chloe, he just messages her on how she's doing and anything basic from their faithful encounter after "Brave the Last Dance". Ever since then, Chloe would post sporadically about updates at her home.

To surprise her, Clyde texts her, "Chloe, having a good night?"

Chloe hears her phone buzzing. She checks it out and sees Clyde's message. She replies, "Saner one. Just reading a book before bedtime."

He sends another, "Might try reading before bed too."

Chloe messages back, "That's a sign. To try a new routine."

Finding the right segue, Clyde texts, "Speaking of sign, look to your left."

Wondering why Clyde would message that to her, Chloe curiously turns to her left direction to see – to her surprise – Clyde from his bedroom holding a sign that reads "HELLO CHLOE".

Excitedly, the beret-wearing girl waves back at him, and they wave to each other.

Chloe plays along, finding it very charming to reenact a music video by a pop singer. She finds a magic marker and a wide paper. She writes "HEY CLYDE".

Clyde writes back to her, "SURPRISED TO SEE ME?"

Chloe pens her response, "I MISSED SCHOOL. MISSED YOU GUYS."

"SO WE GONNA TALK LIKE THIS?"

"SOUNDS CUTE."

Clyde is rather enamored when Chloe wrote that response to him. His heart beats faster as he writes down his next message. And following his feelings, he shows this: "CHLOE, I HAVE TO SAY."

"WHAT?" Chloe writes down.

"CHLOE, WHEN THIS ALL ENDS…I WOULD LIKE TO MEET WITH YOU…"

"ME TOO."

"FINALLY CHLOE, CAN I TAKE YOU OUT…ON A DATE?"

When Chloe sees the two corresponding messages, her face reddens with adoration. She cannot help but feel also for Clyde. Thus, she writes, "LET'S SEE…"

Clyde is hesitating as to how Chloe will perceive this. His throat is drying up, nervous for her next reply. But despite his apprehensions, he hopes for the best.

Looking back at her window, he unfortunately sees the light switch off. He immediately regards this as a red flag that Chloe indeed finds him asking her out on a date truly awkward.

Minutes go by, Clyde is lying down on his bed. And seeing the time strikes for him to go to bed, he is resolved that Chloe took it personally. Suddenly, his phone buzzes. He checks it out to see a text message from Chloe. It says…
