Chapter 38 Princess vs King
Kairi's POV
"What's this", the Master of Masters asked. "The princess is going to save the day?"
"I don't know about saving the day", I revealed. "But I do know one thing, I will not let you hurt Sora!"
With that...I summoned my Keyblade, which caused the Master of Masters to scoff.
"You really think that you can take on me little girl", he asked.
"If it means protecting Sora, then yes", I replied causing the Master of Masters to scoff again.
"Very well then", he started. "Let's see if your love for Sora is enough to keep you alive."
With that...the Master of Masters made a crystal spike shoot up from the ground!
I managed to dodge it. Then I ran towards the Master of Masters and tried to strike him down, but he blocked me by making a shield around himself.
After this I jumped back before firing a beam of light at the Master of Masters. However, it just ricocheted off the shield, and nearly hit me, but I managed to dodge it.
"Dang it", I said to myself. "I need to do something about that shield. Think Kairi, think."
After I said this to myself, I remembered something Axel told me when we were training together.
Flashback
I was sparring with Axel and ended up knocking him to the ground.
"Yes", I said happily. "I did it!"
After I said this, I noticed that Axel still wasn't getting up!
"Axel", I said as I ran up to said person. "Axel? Are you oka..."
Before I could finish...Axel grabbed onto my ankle and pulled me to the ground!
He laughed as I spat out grass.
"Hey", I started. "No fair!"
"You don't fight to be fair Kairi", Axel pointed out. "You fight to win. Besides, I just taught you a very useful battle tip."
"Which is...", I asked.
"Make your opponent think that they've won", Axel revealed. "They'll let their guard down, and that's when you can attack!"
End of Flashback
I now knew what to do.
I looked at the Master of Masters...and desummoned my Keyblade.
"Giving up", he asked.
I didn't answer. Instead...I got down on my knees.
"What did I tell you", the Master of Masters asked as he walked up to me. "Looks like your love can't save you this tim..."
The Master of Masters didn't get to finish...because I had stabbed him right in the stomach!
However, instead of yelling out in pain like I thought...he...started laughing?
"Did you really think that would be enough to stop me?!"
After the Master of Masters said this...he pulled my Keyblade right out!
Then...he grabbed onto both of my arms and hoisted me into the air!
"That was a very clever trick", he stated. "Too bad it wasn't enough to save you."
