Hermione suppressed a groan as she reached the table and placed her pack down, ignoring the obvious glare that Severus was sending her way.

"You're late."

Hermione rolled her eyes as she sat down and began to get out her notes, "Yes Severus I know that. I'm sorry, but please don't get all snappy on me right now, I'm not in the best of moods."

"I am never snappy, unlike some."

"Are you implying that I am?"

Hermione glared as Severus rolled his eyes and began to sort his notes, "And here I thought you were supposed to be intelligent, I guess I was wrong."

Hermione closed her eyes for the briefest moment, she couldn't let her temper get the best of her right now, it would do no good to fight with Severus the entire time and get no work done. Silently, the two sorted their notes together, trying to make some sense of it all. Twenty minutes and what seemed to be three hundred pieces of parchment later, they had finished. Hermione slouched down in her chair, her head was pounding and she wanted nothing more than to visit Madame Pomfrey, the new medi-witch. She closed her eyes for a mere moment, wanting to rest her eyes, but not fall asleep, but the moment her lids closed, she remembered her dream and her eyes shot open, she unconsciously let out a gasp.

She put her hand to her heart to check her breathing, which had sped up slightly. She lifted her gaze to Severus, who was staring at her, an odd expression on his face. Hermione blushed slightly under his gaze, not knowing why, and lowered her gaze, "Sorry Severus, I just remembered something."

"What exactly might that be?"

Hermione shook her head, "Nothing, just a nightmare."

Hermione missed the sneer that came across his face, as she was now fidgeting with the neat stacks of notes, straightening them even though most stacks were nearly perfectly straight. "Nervous?"

Hermione's head shot up, "What? Me? No, of course not, why would you think that?"

"You're fidgeting."

"Sorry, I'm just a bit worried about something."

"About the werewolf? You shouldn't, he's probably sitting in the medical ward, licking his self inflicted wounds like some pathetic dog."

Hermione's eyes flashed as she glared at Severus, "Don't talk about him like that."

A smirk came over Severus' face, "Touched a nerve have I? Don't like to be reminded that you're dating a filthy half breed?"

Hermione knew he was trying to get a rise out of her, but that didn't help matters. He was pushing her buttons and he was enjoying it. Normally she would have been able to get her anger under control, but today had ripped away every ounce of self control she had. "Snape I swear to God if you don't shut your mouth I will hex you into the next century."

His smirk merely grew, "You think you could best me? I'd like to see you try."

"Severus, if James and Sirius can best you on a regular basis, I think I would have a pretty easy job of it."

At the mention of James and Sirius, Severus' smirk turned into a sneer, a cold malice shooting out of his eyes. It was a glare that put the one he would soon give Harry to shame. This only caused Hermione to begin to smirk, so she put on her sweetest, most fake, girly voice that put Umbrage's to shame, "Oh, Sevie, did I hit a nerve?"

She watched as his hand dug into the pocket of his robes, grabbing for his wand, but she was more than prepared. As soon as she watched his hand move, hers shot out, grasping her wand. She stood up, causing her chair to fall backwards, and shot out the first spell that came to mind, "Incarcerous!"

Hermione smiled as she watched ropes appear and snake around Severus, who had just barley drawn out his wand. She smirked as he dropped his wand and struggled against his bonds, one of the ropes had twisted around his mouth, preventing him from talking. She walked around the table to where he was sitting, and glaring dangerously at her.

"Severus, I've had a bad day. I've had to deal with you're sarcasm and harsh comments twice today; you've insulted me, my boyfriend, and my friends. I was late; I have tons of homework, I had the worst dream I have ever had in my entire life, and I think its about that time of the month. Today was not the best day to make me mad, but I should let you know, you were lucky; I was really close to putting densaugeo on you, the hex that causes your teeth to enlarge in case you didn't know. Of course I decided against it, as you obviously would not see the humor in it as I would. But like I said, if James and Sirius can best you, it is no problem for me. Now, I am going to clean up the notes and take them with me. We will meet again tomorrow, seeing as we didn't get much done today, unless of course you are in the mood to keep working?"

She moved the rope around his mouth slightly, allowing him to answer the question. "No."

Satisfied, Hermione replaced the rope once more and began to pack up the notes, fully aware of the glare she was receiving from Severus, and quietly relished in the fact that she had successfully hexed her Death Eater Potions Professor, and she wouldn't be punished or expelled for it. 'This is a story for Harry and Ron.'

She paused slightly at the thought of the two, images of her dream once again passing through her mind. Shaking her head, she put the last of the notes in her bag, resolving that she would visit Madame Pomfrey as soon as she left the library. Picking up her pack she began to walk away, but turned back around toward Severus as soon as she was a few feet away, and waved her wands, causing the ropes to fall away. She walked out of the library and turned toward the medical ward.
