Avengers Crisis On Earth X Chapter 41
Earth-1 was once again Nazi and Hydra free. The war was one. However at a heavy cost.
However after the battle it was time for Ray and Leo to go home.
"Thank you both. This world owes you a lot" said Barry
"Well its my earth too" said Ray.
"Punching out Nazis is kind if out thing" said Leo.
"Well if you ever need us to do any punching over on Earth-X just let us know" said Barry
"Take care Barry"
"Take care Ray"
"Barry I need a hug" said Leo as he hugged him
"Be good Leo"
"Always"
"You got this?"
"Yeah. Alright fellas. You ready to go home?" Cisco asks
"Hold on!" Said Steve with hammer in hand
"Ray. When you get back to Earth-X, let Jane Foster know her hammer is back. Earth-X is gonna need it's Thor" continued Steve
"Of course.
"So uh how does this work?" Ray asked.
"Ah it's a very complex two part process. One I open a breach. Two. You walk through it" explaining Cisco.
"Leo ?" Ray asks as his boyfriend was hesitant on leaving.
"I think I'm gonna stick around here for a little. I won't stay here forever. I will come home to you. Promise" he assured
"Okay" Ray agrees as the two men share a see you later kiss.
"I love you" Leo said
"I love you" Ray replied back
Cisco opens the breach to Earth-X as Steve first throws Mjolnir first. With Ray following after.
The following day everyone was at the funeral of Martin Stein. Who better to speak at the eulogy than Jax.
"Clarissa wanted me to say a few words. But as you all know it was Grey, Martin who was the one but I got used to hearing his words inside my head and even now I can still hear him cause even though he's gone,. He's still a part of me. He's still a part of all of us. He was the best man right until the end. The best teacher, friend, husband, father. Clarissa I'm so so sorry. I couldn't save him. I... All he wanted was to come home. To you, you and Ronnie, to his family.
"Oh Jefferson, you were his family too" said Clarissa
"I just don't know what to do without him"
"Then don't. You said it yourself. He's still a part of you" Lily said
Then all of Martin Stein's loved ones one by one helped lay him to rest.
Later at the park, it was time to say goodbye. Not only that. More importantly. It was finally time for The Avengers to return home and continue their mission.
The Avengers gathered around as Oliver, Barry, Kara, Alex, Sara, and Ray said their final goodbyes.
"We honestly can't thank you enough for all you guy's help" said Barry
"Well. We all did make a pretty good team. Plus as Cap said, you're all honorary Avengers now. Speaking of which, Cisco helped make with these extrapulators whenever you guys ever wanna pop on over to Earth-A and say hi" said Tony
"By the way ditto for you guys as well" added Cisco as he gave the team Extrapulators.
Then the Trinities of Oliver, Barry and Kara stood across Tony, Steve and Thor
"We're really gonna miss you guys" said Kara.
"And we with you" Thor adds.
"Good luck with the girl Robin hood"
"Say hi to Pepper for me Stark"
"My best wishes to you and Iris Barry" said Steve"
"Thank you Steve. Also Avengers Assemble has outta be the coolest thing someone can say heading into Battle"
"I gotta agree. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" Kara laughed as she did her Captain America impression.
Oliver looked down and smiled and said.
"Good luck on your mission. All of us are rooting for you. Get your world back. Hopefully this won't be the last time we all see each other"
"It won't Queen. Hopefully under better circumstances next time" said Steve
The two trios shook hands one last time.
"Alright you guys ready?" asked Cisco
"You bet" said Steve as he and The Avengers activated their Quantum Suits.
Cisco opens the breach and The Avengers went through as they went back home to their Earth at the compound.
Everyone was back where they started by the Quantum tunnel.
"So... Let's try this again. You know your missions" said Steve one last time as The Avengers went into the Quantum Realm again. This time. Right on track.
So what happened next? Well. Fate lead them all to their paths as intended.
Kara and Alex returned home on Earth-38. Sara and The Legends went back to saving the timeline. Barry and Iris? Those two finally had their wedding as not only those two but Oliver and Felicity. John Diggle was the man who wed the couples as their story ended with a happily ever after.
As for the Avengers? Well. Things turned out differently. They all indeed got the stones and undo the snap but at a cost. Natasha gave her life to procure the Soul Stone. As for Iron Man. Sadly his story too had also come to an end. Tony gave his life by using the Infinity Stones to defeat Thanos once and for all. Securing a future for their universe.
When it was all said and done. It was Steve Rogers of all people to return the stone. Steve knew that his story was coming to an end. He took the briefcase of the stones, activated his Quantum Suit and for one final time, traversed the Quantum Realm and returned the stones. However there was more to this than meets the eye. Since Steve's newest story was about to begin.
