Day 38: Galleons

Angelina stared quizzically at the birthday present she had just opened from George, "A model ship? It's really pretty, George, but well…. What made you pick it out?" It was a nice little model, that much was true. The detailing on the sailing ship was admittedly impressive.

"I had it made specially actually," George said, with a grin on his face that always meant she was missing something, "It's a coin bank, see?" He fished a golden coin out of his pocket and reached into the model to open a tiny trapdoor, into which he dropped the coin. "It has an expansion charm on It, so it holds more than it looks like it will," he added.

He was still grinning at her like he was expecting her to get the joke. Angelina stared at him in bewilderment. The gift was useful she supposed. Quaint and charming. But for the life of her she couldn't figure out what she was missing.

"This is a sixteenth century Spanish sailing ship, Ang," George offered with the air of someone giving a clue.

When Angelina only continued to stare at him, he sighed, "It's a galleon! For you to keep your galleons in, get it?" Then he broke into snickers at his own joke, clearly exceptionally pleased with his gift to her.

Angelina couldn't help but burst into giggles too. "You are ridiculous," she told him, leaning forward to kiss him, "And I love you for it."

This one is silly, I know, but I couldn't resist the opportunity for a little wordplay with the prompt, and who better to deliver that than one of the Weasley twins? Also, I'm quite pleased I managed to get two up within a few hours of each other. So if you missed that there were two today, make sure you go back and check out the one before this.
