OK here we go... this turned into a huge chapter, so have split it into three parts. As ever, thank you for reading my story and please do leave a review if you have the time.
Arizona had pissed Bailey off by asking for extra days at short notice, but reminded her that being without kids she had worked the last 4 christmases and so deserved a bit of slack. Reluctantly Bailey had admitted Arizona was right and gave her three extra days. Once that had been sorted she had rang the airline and switched her flight and had used her air miles to upgraded them as a treat.
Callie had sent Sal a text filling her in on what Arizona had done and that she was coming to Miami. Sal had insisted they come round for dinner tomorrow night as Scott was dying to meet the blonde. Truthfully the last thing they wanted was to go out to dinner, but Sal has promised that it would be very low key, the kids would be out at a sleep over and she wanted to hear all about the trip. Sal was such a good friend to Callie but it just seemed that the was something a little odd in how desperate she had been for them to come. She hope everything was OK between her and Scott.
They managed to get a good few hours sleep on the retractable beds and so actually didn't feel too bad when they landed in Miami.
Callie watched Arizona has they exited the air conditioned airport and headed outside to find their ride. She watched as she saw the first beads of sweat start to form on the blondes neck and smiled to herself, waiting for the comment about the heat. Much to Callie's surprise Arizona didn't say anything, she was clearing making an effort, which Callie found adorable.
50 minutes and they arrived at Callie's spacious three bed apartment. It had a large spacious wrap around balcony with hot tub and a couple of hammocks and Arizona loved the sea view.
"It's huge!" Arizona commented after Callie had given her to tour. "Yeah well Joe and I got the space for the girls...Sara his daughter and I wanted a room for Rose when she came to stay"
"Of course!" Arizona stupidly hadn't even considered that this had been Callie's home with Joe. She looked around taking in the surroundings.
"The irony is..." Callie continued "he wanted work done and so by the time they had finished the work, it was over between us..." Callie walked down the hallway and opened a door opposite which had boxes and an exercise bike it "...this was suppose to be Sara's room, but we split up before he ever moved in.." Callie closed the door and Arizona noticed the sadness form as her girlfriend mentioned Sara.
"Why didn't you move?" Arizona asked "I'm mean it's a great apartment, but does it not hold bad memories?"
"Well I'd signed a year long contract which has about 3 months left. I don't mind it really...I mean i'm the only one who has lived he, slept in the bed. I spend a lot of time at work and it's a great location, so I figured I'd just hang onto it."
Callie pulled Arizona into her arms "anyway...the next place I move to will be with you and so I can totally put up with this until that time comes". Arizona smiled at Callie's words.
On their last night in Italy they had discussed the job offer and after a lot of discussion Arizona had decided that it wasn't the right time to move to London. Arizona admitted that in the future she could see them living in London, but that she wanted to stay nearer their families.
Arizona knew deep down that whilst Callie was excited at the thought of moving to London, running away from the issue with her dad wasn't good in the long term. As Arizona listened to Luca's story about how his parents had been over his sexuality, how he hadn't been able to attend his mum's funeral, she knew she needed to do everything she could to help Callie rebuild a relationship with her dad. Moving to the other side of the world wasn't going to help that, so she had called Dr Walsh to let him know. He was disappointed, but excepted Arizona's decision, but only if she agreed to hold masterclass sessions once a year. Arizona had happily agreed, that way her and Callie could do more travelling and tick off more of their Europe wish list.
"So the most important thing is that we shouldn't go to bed...that will make the jet lag worse" Arizona said changing the subject from Sara and Joe.
Callie placed her lips on Arizona's neck before adding "you're wrong Robbins...going to SLEEP would make it worse...we can totally go to bed as I have no intention of allowing you to sleep!" Arizona's dimples popped at Callie's words.
Arizona grabbed Callie's hand "good point Torres...so which one of these doors leads to your bedroom?" She started pulling the brunette down the corridor, before Callie stopped, making the blonde turn around to see what was wrong
"actually...Arizona would you care to join me on the balcony..., I've had that hot tub for 6 months and I've never used...I haven't been able to stop thinking about you naked in it since we left Italy".
Arizona smiled at Callie "I think I can help you out with that.." Callie watched in awe as the blonde started unbuttoning her top and she walked towards her girlfriend and placed her lips on the brunette's and slipped her tongue into Callie's open mouth.
They spent the next couple of hours pleasuring each other, first in the hot tub and then in bed. As Callie laid on her back trying to get her breath back following another orgasm, she noticed that Arizona seemed to be deep in thought.
"Penny for them?"
"Hmmm?" Arizona responded
"Penny for your thoughts?" Callie smiled, but then stopped smiling as to took in the worried look on Arizona's face. "Hey babe...what's wrong?" She asked with concern.
Arizona opened her mouth to speak, but then seemed to change her mind "it's nothing...I'm just being silly"
Callie turned onto her side so she was looking directly into Arizona's blue eyes, she could see that something was bothering her.
"Hey...remember the rules...honesty OK?" Callie said as she felt her stomach knot with anxiety over what Arizona clearly didn't want to say. they had been getting on so well, maybe this was it...maybe things had been too good to be true.
Arizona's eyes stared back into Callie's brown pools and nodded "OK...I'm sorry...I have really tried to not think this...to not worry about it... but it's not going away...it's something my stupid brain needs to ask..." Arizona took a deep breath and then started babbling "am I enough for you Calliope...in bed I mean...do you miss having a cock inside you...miss sex with a man? I mean you married two of them...and I... I think I can hold my own with another lesbian...but a man, well it's different...is this...is what I do...enough for you?"
Callie looked on at the blonde and was speechless. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, couldn't believe that Arizona was worried about being enough for her.
"Arizona are you kidding me?" Callie finally responded with a huge smile on her face, but the blonde looked back deadly serious.
It had been an issue for them five years ago and Arizona had jumped conclusions that Callie was ending things to be with a man, that it was just a phase. The day of the shooting Callie and Arizona had argued about Callie feeling like she wasn't a good enough lesbian for Arizona, and Arizona had admitted that she didn't trust Callie...that she was always worried that Callie was going to go back to Mark or another guy. It seems that those insecurities were still there.
"Arizona you are...you are so much more than an enough for me...I mean sex with you is...and always has been the best sex of my life. It was amazing five years ago and it just keeps getting better and better...you know my body like no one else, you have taken the time to learn my body, what turns me on like no one else. You make me cum like no one else ever has. Over and over again." Callie smiled and brushed Arizona's cheek with the back of her hand
"You are the sexiest person I have ever met and just thinking of you makes me wet...picturing you on top of me, picturing you calling my name as you cum...god it's like a drug...I...I just can't get enough of you."
Callie lent in and placed her lips on Arizona's lips and whispered "do you want me to show you how much enough you are for me?" She reached down and placed Arizona's hand in between her soaked thighs.
Arizona closed her eyes briefly and took a deep breath.
"You did that Arizona...you've always done that to me...from day one...I don't need a stupid dick...I just need you".
Arizona smiled softly "I had to ask Callie... I know it's my issue, but I needed to hear you say it..."
"Seriously...you leave me unable to talk, let alone walk, sometimes...Please don't ever think this again. Arizona Robbins are all I ever want and I love you so much".

The next morning they woke up early due to their body clocks being all messed up and Callie had suggested they go for a walk along the beach before it got too hot.
Whilst walking Callie and tried to talk Arizona out of going to see her dad. It was kind of Arizona to care so much, but she really didn't think it would do any good. He had been furious when Callie had told him that she was leaving Joe. callie tried to explain that she didn't love him, and never had...not in the way a wife should love a husband, they had argued. Carlos and Joe had grown close and so Callie knew that he was upset and embarrassed at how Callie had treated him. it didnt matter that Callie had been deep in grief following the loss of her mother and sister, her dad had been suffering too. he expected her to stay with Joe and make it work, even if she knew it never was.
Callie had tried to explain that it wasn't fair to Joe to stay with him when she didnt love him, that he deserved better, but her dad had disagreed. He didn't count her earlier marriage to George as a proper marriage, and so to Carlos, this was her one and only and that had to make it work, couldn't get divorced.
To Carlos, Callie marrying Joe after the death of his wife and daughter had made him happy especially after the relationship with the woman in Seattle. so when Callie and called him and told him that she was seeing Arizona again, he had gone ballistic and said he didn't want anything to do with her.
Arizona, however, had refused to change her mind "listen Callie, it might not work, but at least we will have tried."
Over breakfast Arizona told Callie her plan and that she needed Callie to write a letter to her dad, telling him how she was feeling. AS well as liking lists' Arizona also believed that often people didn't fully listen to what was being said and so a letter could be so more effective when it came to feelings.
Callie spent the next hour writing down how she felt, why the relationship with Joe hadn't worked out, how much she missed her mum, Aria and her dad, and finally how happy she was with Arizona.
Whenever Callie and her dad spoke it inevitably ended up in an argument as they were too similar, too hot headed, maybe Arizona was onto something with the letter.
Arizona made Callie wait at home and got a taxi to drop her off at the house. Arizona hadn't been to the Torres house before and it was huge! There was an intercom at the gate and Arizona took a deep breath before pressing the buzzer.
After a few seconds the intercom came to life "Hola! How may I help?" Said a female voice of one of the maids Callie said worked in the house.
"Oh yes hello...my name is Dr Arizona Robbins and I'm here to talk to Senor Torres"
"Is he expecting you?"
"Ummm no...no he isn't, but it's very important and I...can wait until he is free"
"Please hold on".
Arizona took a deep breath as the nerves started kicking in. Maybe this was a massive mistake, maybe she should just run and go back and find Callie and forget all about it. As Arizona started doubting her plan the intercom buzzed back into life.
"Dr Robbins...I'm afraid Senor Torres is unable to see you..."
"I can wait" Arizona replied quickly "I'll wait...please tell him I'll wait here until he is able to see me"
"I...I'm afraid he made it very clear that he had no intention of speaking to you..." the voice said apologetically.
Arizona swallowed a lump in her throat. "and I am making it very clear that I have no intention of leaving until I have spoken to him...please pass on my message and I'll be here waiting when he is ready to talk!".
Arizona ended the call. Shit! what now? she turned and headed over to a tree opposite the house where she sat down and settled in to what she thought was going to be a long wait.
