The girls had arrived back in Boston hours later, Maura was feeling much better than she had been feeling the past couple of days and it had been all thanks for Jane getting Hope to say she approved of Maura's relationship with a woman. She was really relieved to know that Hope wasn't homophobic.

They were waiting outside of the airport waiting for Korsak to arrive, he texted to let them know Angela wasn't feeling too well and she was very tired so she wasn't going to tag along. He didn't let them know Frost tagged along because he thought it would be a nice surprise and Frost and Jane could talk about things. Korsak thought it would be good for Frost to discuss things with her.

Korsak pulled up minutes later and the girls greeted him as he rolled down his window. "Hey ladies, nice to see ya."

Frost waved from the passenger side of the car and Jane smiled, "Frost, is that you?" she threw her bags in the back seat and Maura rolled her eyes putting her own bags in the trunk.

Jane all but pulled Frost out of the car and wrapped her arms around him. Frost hugged her back and just laughed, "I wasn't expecting you to be this excited to see me."

"I've missed you Frost and it's good to be back." Jane turned to Maura, "Hey do you mind sitting up front with Korsak? I want to bond with Frost some, if that's alright."

Maura just nodded, "Yeah that's alright, we did spend four days alone together." She went to go in the front seat smiling at Frost. "I hope she doesn't talk your ear off."

Jane just grabbed Frost by the arm and they got in the backseat. "Hey Korsak, let's go somewhere for some early dinner, my treat okay?"

Korsak smirked and turned to Maura, "Has she been this cheerful all day?"

Maura laughed and nodded, "Yeah pretty much."

Korsak looked behind him at Jane, "As long as we bring your mother something, so where did you wanna go?"

"Anywhere with pizza and beer. You drive and I pay," Jane replied before turning to Frost as the car started to move. "So how are things here in Boston? None of my family has been bothering you, have they?"

"Not really Jane, no. Things are okay. We're all excited for you to be coming back to work. Work has been odd without you and Maura around."

"Ugh I really don't even want to think about work right now. Frankie hasn't been shoving his relationship in your face, has he? Spend New Year's Eve with anyone special?" she asked, rambling.

"No he's not shoving anything in my face, not on purpose anyways, it just sort of happens. Korsak says he's just smitten, but I wouldn't put it that way. He just fancies her a lot, but we are still close friends, so I'm just glad no girl can take that away from us." Frost told Jane. "So tell me all about your trip..."

"Alright, but I'll spare you all the dirty details. Actually that might make my story kind of short," she smirked, looking at Maura.

"Nice to see you openly talking about sex, I'm proud of you," Maura smiled back, before turning her attention to Korsak, letting Jane ramble off to what they did and seen in New York. "So how has Angela been doing. You mentioned her being exhausted a lot?"

Korsak nodded, "Yeah, but she's just been working really hard at the Dirty Robber. She set up a doctor's appointment the end of next week. I just hope it's nothing serious."

Maura nodded and she heard Jane stop talking to Frost in the backseat for a moment.

"Wait why can't Ma just go to the doctor now? I swear sometimes she could be more stubborn than me. And that's saying a lot. Have you been letting her sleep Korsak?"

"Of course I have, we've been getting plenty of sleep... at least as far as I'm aware of. Who truly knows who's sleeping when you are sleeping yourself."

"She could be just going through... you know... the change," Frost spoke up a queasy look on his face.

Jane patted Frost on the back, "You talking about menopause? Her family is known to have that shit start late. She's like what 53 going on 54, it could be time for that to start. God, I am not going to go through menopause very well. I will definitely need to stay away from people when I go through that change."

"I'll keep that in mind for when the time comes," Maura smiled. Frost and Korsak laughed at the two women.

Jane returned her focus back on her telling Frost what happened during vacation, she remembered something and she pulled it out of her bag. "I picked something up for you in New York," she handed Frost a box and he opened it taking out the snow globe of the city. Frost smiled warmly at Jane.

"That was very thoughtful of you Jane, thanks."

"Not a problem, I figured it would go good with your Boston snow globe I got you for your birthday last year."

"Why did you start that trend again?"

"I promised to get you something from everywhere I visit, and I just thought that would be a good way for you to remember that I think of you when I go places. And maybe give you hopes and dreams of you going there someday. It's odd and sentimental but I thought you wouldn't mind," Jane explained and Frost smiled.

Jane definitely knew how to cheer Frost up. He was very thankful for it.

"You're a good friend Jane, you are always thinking of me."

Jane nodded, "Damn straight. I love you man," she leaned over to kiss his cheek.

"I love you too," he smiled, holding the snow globe in his hands.

"So did I get anything from the Big Apple?"

Korsak asked once it was quiet.

Jane looked at Korsak and playfully rolled her eyes, "I'm paying for your dinner and I approved of your relationship with my mother, what more do you want Korsak? This is the day of Frost. I deem it an unofficial holiday. January 1st. Mark your calendars everyone."

Frost eyed Jane suspiciously, "Jane, you are too happy today, you sure we shouldn't make this Jane's day. Mark the occasion of you being the happiest you've ever been."

Jane turned to Frost, "How about this? Today is Jane and Frost appreciation day. The day of Jane Rizzoli and Barry Frost. We should celebrate, we should invite Frankie and Gwen to celebrate with us. They both seem to like us as well."

Korsak turned to Maura, listening to their conversation in the back seat, "Maura, I think you broke Jane Rizzoli. Like whatever you are doing to her keep that shit up."

Frost and Jane's friendship is soo cute. Maura put Jane in a really good mood too haha I agree with Korsak.
