Through the Mirror part two

Mom's Home.

Nick was shocked awake out of his nap by the sound of a loud storm followed by a smash in his bedroom. He bolted up out of the couch and flew straight into the bedroom.

"God, no Dinosaurs this time. Please!"

There was glass blown out of Adalind's mirror and Diana was holding the staff next to someone lying on the floor. He saw the woman roll over groggily and instantly flash out an automatic knife at the two of them while she tried to push herself up.

"Mom?" Diana and Nick said at the same time. The woman was trying to get up but was still holding the knife at them. She was disoriented and confused.

"Mom? Mom! What are you doing here?" Nick asked

"Mom!" Diana cheered gleefully and ran over to her.

The woman was slowly moving around with the knife in her hand "Where am I? What is this? Some kind of trick?"

Her eyes slowly came into focus "Nicky? Diana? You're dead! What are you doing here?"

He looked at her and said "Mom? You're dead! What are you doing here?"

Diana ran over to her and hugged and kissed her "Mom! I missed you so much!"

Kelly gingerly touched Diana's face and looked at her in disbelief silently for a moment, then broke down crying while running her fingers in the girl's long blonde hair and kissing her head. Then she looked up at her son and started crying even more. She finally stood up and gingerly touched his face and then his hair. She kissed her son and said. "I can't believe I have my family back! You were dead! I held you in my arms as you died!"

He helped Mom up off the floor and got her a big handful of headache medicine and a glass of water. She was still pretty groggy and needed to rest on the couch for a bit.

Kelly looked around "Where are we?"

Nick smiled "In my house with my kids. Do you want to meet your grandkids?"

Kelly was confused "You don't have any kids. Your wife Juliette got murdered before you ever had any. You live with me and Diana - well at least until that tricky Hexenbiest Adalind finally tracked us down and murdered you. Her crazy half-Zauberbiest lackey murdered Diana the day before. He was trying to kill me and missed. At least I chopped off his head."

Nick was confused by that explanation, but knew a bit more about mirror portals than his Mom did. "Mom, it's different here. Diana pulled you through a mirror portal to a different reality. I'm married to Adalind and we have four kids."

"Adalind! I'm going to chop her head right off! I swear! She's the one that killed both of you. If she hadn't witched that crazy Renard guy maybe Diana would still be alive!"

"Mom! Calm down. That stuff never happened here. She's my wife here. Let me show you your grand kids. Anyway, you are the one who died here. Juliette turned into a Hexenbiest and double crossed you to the Royals. They chopped your head off and kidnapped Diana."

"What? No? That makes no sense? Juliette's Kersite! How would she turn into a Hexenbiest? She was your wife! Why would she double cross me?"

"She sort of went crazy after she turned into a Hexenbiest and was furious about me getting Adalind pregnant."

"WHAT? You knocked up that crazy Hexenbiest WHILE you were dating Juliette? Then you somehow got that sweet girl turned into a Hexenbiest? Wait? Are you not a Grimm here or something?"

"MOM! Kids!" Nick makes eyes towards Diana. "Yes! I'm still a Grimm! She took my powers as revenge for kidnapping Diana but I got my powers back. That's how Adalind got pregnant and Juliette ended up a Hexenbiest. Anyway, Let's go see your grandkids before you go kill anybody else today. Kelly is with Monroe and Rosalee playing with The Triplets but Catherine and Chuck are here."

"Wait, Nicky, why would you name a daughter after her mother? You murdered her for going after Juliette! That's why Adalind murdered you!"

"Mom! YOU murdered her mother here. Kelly is our son. He was born the day after you died."

"Huh? Nicky, this makes no sense."

"Diana brought you to a completely different reality. Things are totally different here."

Now Diana starts telling her about everything going on and Kelly looks even more confused. Finally Nick brings the grandkids over to her. Little Catherine and baby Chuck. She looks confused but finally smiles "So I really have grandkids?"

Nick smiles "Yes Mom, you really do."

A few hours later Adalind arrives home from court. "So... What sort of adventure did you guys have today while I was gone?"

Nick plants a big kiss on her "You'll never guess! Literally, never!"

Adalind gets confused. "Did you teleport all the kids and lose them again?"

"No."

"Did you bring Devil guy back?"

"No."

"Dinosaurs again?"

"No."

"Well, there's no bats, so did you get Habanero pizza for lunch?"

Now Diana smiles "Yes!" And Nick rolls his eyes. He can't stand habanero pizza but Adalind and the kids all love it.

Nick snickers "Diana brought Mom here through the mirror!"

"Huh? Wow, I would not have guessed that."

Diana runs up, hugs Adalind and says "Mom! I brought Mom through the mirror!"

Adalind has a confused look. "Honey, I'm right here."

"No mom" Diana insists "My other mom! Dad's mom."

Adalind shrugs and thinks at least she didn't bring another dinosaur into the house again.

Kelly hears Adalind's voice and comes flying into the kitchen "YOU! I swore to you I would chop off your head next time I saw you and I meant it!"

"Huh?" Adalind looks surprised

"MOM!" Nick yells "She's my wife here!"

"No more Hexenbiest tricks!" Kelly is determined and is running up. She reaches into her pocket, whips out a large automatic knife. The blade flashes out, and Kelly stabs straight at Adalind.

Nick jumps in between them to stop his Mom and she stabs the knife straight into his neck. It goes all the way in to the hilt.

Nick makes a gurgling sound and mouths "no mom". He slumps down onto his knees. Kelly reaches out and puts her hand on her son's face and he dies in her hands.

Kelly launches back up to her feet with another knife at Adalind and hisses "Look at what you've done Hexenbiest! You're mine now."

"No! Kelly, he'll be OK, it'll be fine! Put down the knife!" Adalind is backing away as Kelly stalks her. "Diana! Help!"

Diana runs up to her "No, Mom! Don't hurt Mom! Dad will be OK!" Diana puts her hands on Kelly's face and flashes her eyes purple. Kelly stops and has a confused look - Diana has witched her. Now she turns around, kneels down over her son, puts her hands on his face, and starts crying.

Adalind is crying now as well and it makes it hard for her to talk, but she pushes through "Honey, can you help move your, um, grandmother, I guess, back so I can use the staff."

Diana puts her hands on Kelly "Mom. You have to move back so Mom can bring Dad back."

"What?" She sniffs between tears. She is now having day terrors of her son dying *twice* in her arms as she looks down at his body. She has already buried him once. She can't bear the idea of burying him again.

"Mom, you have to get back or it will zap you."

She looks up and Adalind is holding the ancient staff "What's are you doing with a stick?"

Adalind's eyes are red and full of tears looking at her dead husband "You'll just have to trust me for now. We'll explain it after we bring my husband back. You have to get back when I do this."

Kelly looks up at Adalind crying and cautiously backs away. It takes her by surprise - Adalind hated Nick more than anything in the entire world, even more than she hated Diana. She had been hunting him for the last eight years straight over killing her mother. She was after pure vengeance against Nick. Kelly had even watched Adalind yell "Good riddance!" when Renard shot Diana by mistake.

Adalind yanks the knife out of Nick's neck and pitches it into the sink and Kelly watches her son's blood slowly pool out onto the floor. Adalind kneels down and kisses him on the forehead, runs her hands in his hair, and tears roll down onto his face. "Nick!" She mouths. She straightens his body back out.

Diana takes Kelly's hand to go get a big glass of water and the bottle of headache medicine out of the other room.

Kelly hears Nick grunt and she looks out into the kitchen. Nick is trying to push up off the floor disoriented. She bolts over to her son and kisses his head. She starts asking him questions. He's really disoriented and holding his hands on his head. He looks at her, groggily gets up, smiles at Mom, gently pushes her out of the way, and heads straight to Adalind and gives her a huge kiss. Adalind helps walk him to the couch and he curls up on her nursing his headache.

Diana brings baby Chuck to Mom Kelly and they sit down on the other couch, but she is really confused. Little Kelly has climbed up in Mom Kelly's lap and is chattering away at her. Catherine has toddled over and wants to climb into her lap and talk to her too. Kelly looks at Catherine and is amazed - the little girl looks *exactly* like the pictures she had seen of herself at the same age.

Now the baby is crying. Diana smiles "Mom, can you come help me with Chuck?" This takes Kelly by surprise - Nick's grandfather Burkhart's name was Chuck. She looks over - Nick is still curled up on Adalind smiling and she is kissing his head.

Kelly walks towards the baby's changing table in the nursery and sees all sorts of family pictures. She looks closer and is surprised - Adalind looks pregnant in every single picture INCLUDING her wedding pictures. She touches the pictures and then looks back at him again. He never smiled like this - especially not when he was married to Juliette.

Kelly thought back - Juliette had married him out of duty. She finally said yes the fifth time he proposed, and only after they took Diana and the four of them were on the run together for six months. While she put on a good face, Kelly always knew Juliette resented having to raise someone else's daughter and blamed him for having to live like that. Juliette had made her son miserable the whole year he was married before Adalind caught up to them and murdered her. She looked back at them again on the couch. How could be be happy with a Hexenbiest? How could he be happy with HER? Never trust a Hexenbiest - didn't he know how horrible those things were in real life?

Soon she was changing Baby Chuck's diaper while three other kids were crowding around her and all chattering at the same time. She looked down and smiled. It was strange - everybody here was happy and normal. She looked back into the living room and now Adalind was curled up on Nick and he was kissing her head and softly running his fingers in her hair.

She looked back down at Diana and touched her hair. Visions flashed past of her Diana dying in her arms just two months ago. Then Adalind killing Nick and him dying in her arms. Then burying both of them. Then more visions of stabbing her son in the neck and him dying in her arms today. She looked down at Diana and started crying again.
