Hey, guys! Here's another chapter, and I bet you guys will be even more excited about this than the last one! Probably! I dunno, it's really up to you guys. But for those of you annoyed with Elize for hating Jaden and the crew from last chapter, keep in mind that all the times Elize has gotten really upset and angry with them is for GOOD REASONS. Seriously, Jaden and his friends keeping the whole "Sartorius has a satellite cannon" for themselves and not telling anyone would really upset their friends for certain. After all, Sartorius has access to a deadly weapon, and those guys kept that fact to themselves, so yeah.
Well, with that said, let's start the chapter!

If Elize's relationship with Jaden, Syrus, and Hassleberry was already bad enough, it went downhill even further the last time they encountered each other. Now, most of the time, Elize deliberately avoids them, still upset and angry at them from before. At first, she was starting to calm down after the whole Bastion incident, but now, they're only making things harder to stop the Society of Light!
"Honestly, what were they thinking, keeping such an important thing from us!" murmured Elize angrily, stomping her way across the school grounds. "You'd think after what happened with Bastion, they'd learn something, but-Huh?"
Looking up, Elize saw several injured and near-unconscious bodies of students lying about, from the concrete grounds to the grass and lying against trees. An explosion nearby alarmed her and, thinking that it was an attack from the Society of Light, rushed ahead to see what was happening.
She arrived just in time to see an Obelisk Blue student flying in the air and then crashing back onto the ground. He was injured badly just like the other students and was groaning in pain. Illuminant light flashed before Elize's eyes, forcing her to look away before the light died down, giving her the chance to see the source of light.
The source of light had disappeared and took the form of a young man with a thick head of chocolate-brown colored hair and goggles, and he seems to be carrying a very confident spirit within himself.
"Psst! That all the competition this school has to offer? I'm kinda disappointed!" scoffed the young man, deactivating his duel disk. "I was hopin' for more of a challenge, considering this is one of the best dueling schools in the world!"
The young man spotted Elize staring at him and frowned, peering his eyes at her. Elize was a bit startled when she suddenly gained his attention, and decided that he wasn't worth it right now before proceeding to help out the injured student. She tried to lift him up, but he was too heavy for her, so she was forced to resort to dragging him across the ground as gently as she could, prompting him against the soft grass.
"Hang on a sec..." muttered the young man. "Oi! You! Girlie! What's your name?"
"Huh? Oh, it's Elize! Elize Simington! Why?" called out Elize.
The young man's eyes widened before he bit down on his thumb and looked away. "Oh, shit! I didn't expect to meet her this soon!" He glanced at her and observed her appearance. "Long brown hair...red hat...green eyes...Yup, definitely her." When he noticed her walking away and tending to some of the other injured students, the young man asked, "Hey, hey! Wait! What are you doing?"
"Taking these guys to the infirmary! They're in need of medical help!" Elize said, trying to carry a lighter student with her arms and shoulders.
"Why not leave them? They'll be fine!"
"If you're trying to ask me to duel you, that'll have to wait until after I help these students to the infirmary," Elize informed. "I'm not dueling anyone until after I get everyone to the infirmary, and that's final!" With that said, Elize started carrying, or half-dragging, the students inside the school where the infirmary was located. Because the young man wanted to duel Elize, but figured that doing what she was doing would speed things up, as well as the fact that he did owe up to the students he did duel, he played along and helped carry them inside.
When they finished, both Elize and the young man met back outside, where the entire area was devoid of anymore injured and unconscious students. "Thank you so much for helping me," thanked Elize, bowing her head to him. "...Even though you were the one that injured them all."
"Yeah, you didn't need to add in that last part," the young man said, winching from her last remark. "The name's Valon! Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier! Well, you ready for a duel?"
"Well, you did injured those students, but you did make up for it by helping me carry them to the infirmary," remarked Elize before making her decision in the form of her activating her duel disk. "Alright, I guess I can duel you."
"Sweet! Let's see what you've got!"

'He must be planning on Tribute Summoning that Monster on his next turn! I should do something about that!' thought Elize, drawing her card. "I draw! I activate Polymerization and fuse together Raging Eria and Dharc the Dark Charmer from my hand! With them, I Fusion Summon Luna the Moon Charmer!"
Luna the Moon Charmer - (DARK/Spellcaster/Fusion) - LV7 - (2500/2100)
"A Fusion Monster, eh?" muttered Valon, impressed. "Might have to tell good ol' Raph about this!"
"Luna, please attack his Monster!"
Valon watched with a confident smirk on his face as he allowed his Armor Monster to be destroyed in an instant by Elize's own Fusion Monster.
'Was he planning on baiting me with that facedown card?' thought Elize, confused as to why Valon still remained confident. 'No, if that set card was a destructive trap, he would have activated it, but Luna can't be destroyed by card effects anyways. What's he planning? I should prepare myself just in case.' "I set a card and end my turn!"
"I draw!" shouted Valon. "The effect of my Psychic Armor Head now activates! If it's in the Graveyard, I get to Special Summon it back to the field in Attack Mode!"
Psychic Armor Head - (EARTH/Machine/Armor) - LV4 - (0/500)
'So my attempts would have been pointless anyways!' thought Elize, frustrated that she couldn't stop him from Tribute Summoning. 'It's coming-! A really strong Monster!'
"Next, I sacrifice my Psychic Armor Head in order to bring out Double Cloth Armor in Attack Mode!" said Valon.
Double Cloth Armor - (EARTH/Machine/Armor) - LV6 - (0/0)
"I'll end my turn from there! Oh, and just to let you know, Double Cloth Armor can't attack, so you're safe for now!"
'...Yeah, okay, that Armor Monster definitely has a special ability. He's just baiting me to attack,' thought Elize, drawing her card. 'I'll put some defense up first, then!'
"Okay, first I summon Lyna the Light Charmer in Defense Mode!" said Elize.
Lyna the Light Charmer - (LIGHT/Spellcaster) - LV3 - (500/1500)
"And...Okay, I attack your Double Cloth Armor! Luna, please destroy his armor!"
Just as Luna was preparing a magical assault onto his Double Cloth Armor, Valon laughed. "Ahaha! I knew you'd take the offense! Just like all the other brainless blooks I've faced ever since landing on this island! I activate Double Cloth Armor's effect! If it's attacked by another Monster, you take damage equal to half of your Monster's Attack Points and both Monsters are destroyed! And the best part? I don't take any damage whatsoever!"
Luna's magical attack fired against Double Cloth Armor, who took a defensive position and blocked most of the magical attack before reflecting the magical attack back at Elize, who took the blunt force of the Effect Damage right as Double Cloth Armor was destroyed. Surprisingly to Valon, Luna wasn't destroyed.

"Oi! Why wasn't your Monster destroyed, either?" questioned Valon.
"It's because of Luna's special ability!" said Elize. "She can't be destroyed by card effects!"
"Hmph. That's a bother, but pretty impressive move. Can't say I expected that," said Valon. "Alright, finish your turn so that I can make my move. After all, if you think this is all I've got, then you've sorely underestimated me, just like all the other bollocks!"
Elize took a moment to consider her options. 'Hmm...He might have more Armor Monsters with 0 Attack Points in his deck. After all, he had that helmet Monster and Double Cloth Armor. They may have 0 Attack Points, but they may have powerful effects to back that up. Kinda similar to my Charmer Monsters. People underestimate Monsters with low Attack Points, so I can relate to Valon in some way.'
"I end my turn!"
"Alright then, I draw!" Valon said. "Now I activate the effect of my Psychic Armor Head! It gets to be Special Summoned back on the field in Attack Mode if it's in the Graveyard during my Standby Phase!"

"You wanna see my true power? Here it is! I activate Armor Gravitation! With this card, I get to Special Summon up to 4 Level 4 or lower Armor Monsters from my deck to the field in Attack Mode! Come out, Big Bang Blow! Trap Gauntlet! Active Guard! Over Boost!"
With all five pieces of the Armor Monsters assembled, they equipped themselves not onto one single Monster, but only Valon himself. It was surprising because it's rare that such cards during a duel could interact with a duelist in such a manner.

"Your cards equipped themselves onto you?!" exclaimed Elize.
Valon grinned. "That ain't the first time today that I've heard that before! That's right! That's just one of the special traits my Armor deck has! And now, time for the assault! I attack with Big Bang Blow!" As he charged forward, Valon commented, "Oh, and just to let you know, even though your Fusion Monster can't be destroyed by card effects, it wouldn't matter, because Big Bang Blow's effect makes it so that you get inflicted Damage equal to all of your Monster's Attack Points!"
'The total combined Attack Points of all of my Monsters is...3000! I have to defend myself!' Elize thought. "I activate my facedown card, Mirror Force! This destroys all of your Monsters in Attack Mode!"
"Ha! Too bad for ya!" laughed Valon. "Trap Buster's effect activates! It negates the effects of any and all Trap cards that targets an Armor Monster I control or would destroy 2 or more Monsters on the field! You're gonna have to do better than that to defeat me, love!"
"Okay! Then I'll activate the effect of my Luna! When she's attacked, she can negate your attack once per turn, and I gain Life Points equal to the Attack Points of the Monster that attacked her!"
Valon's fist, his Big Bang Blow, was blocked by Luna's defensive barrier, forcing him to spring back onto his side of the field, tching in irritation that he couldn't damage her nor destroy any of her Monsters.
"Great...but, you don't gain anything, either!" pointed out Valon. "Remember, all the Monsters on my field have 0 Attack points, so you don't gain any Life Points!"
Elize nodded. "I'm well aware of that, but I'm actually okay with that!"
"Alright, I end my turn!" At that moment, all of Valon's Monsters except for Psychic Armor Head was destroyed, much to Elize's surprise and confusion. "Confused? Well, you are dueling against someone like me for the first time, so naturally, you would be confused. You see, Armored Gravitation's effect is that, at the turn my Armored Monsters were Special Summoned, they get destroyed at the end, so count yourself lucky!"
"My turn!" said Elize. 'So, I know now that one of his Armor Monsters, Trap Buster, can negate Trap cards, and that Psychic Armor Head can return anytime during his Standby Phase so long as it's in the Graveyard. And, Big Bang Blow can hit me with all sorts of Damage from the combined Attack Points of all my Monsters, and, judging from his words, that Armor Monster can also destroy my Monsters automatically. But, I don't know what his other Armor Monsters can do, only that they're possibly dangerous. Luckily, most of his Monsters are gone, and I now know his Psychic Armor Head doesn't have a counterattack effect. I can go on the offensive!'
"I switch Lyna into Attack Mode! And then, I'll have her attack your Psychic Armor Head!"
Valon grunted in pain as Lyna shot a ball of light at his helmet, shattering it to pieces and leaving his entire head unprotected. It hurt even more because his Psychic Armor Head was in Attack Mode.

"Now, I attack directly!" shouted Elize. "Luna, please go ahead and attack him directly!"
"You activated my Trap card!" called out Valon as Luna prepared a magical spell. "Magnet Armor! Now an Armor Monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard in Attack Mode! Catch is, it has to be destroyed during the End Phase! And I choose Double Cloth Armor!"
Double Cloth Armor - (EARTH/Machine/Armor) - LV6 - (0/0)
Once again, Luna fired her magic spell at Double Cloth Armor, who took most of the damage but deflected the rest onto Elize as per its effect before being destroyed.
"And now, you take damage equal to half of your Luna's Attack Points! Bet ya didn't see that one comin', did ya? Sure, your Monster's safe because of her special ability of not being destroyed by my Monster's card effect, but you still receive damage!"

Elize took a deep breath and looked at her hand. "I set a card facedown before ending my turn!"
"My draw!" Valon said. "And I activate the Spell, Full Armor Gravitation! Now, I draw the top ten cards from the top of my deck and then Special Summon as many Armor Monsters from amongst these cards as possible! Any other non-Armor Monsters are then removed from play! I Special Summon...Psychic Armor Head! Active Guard! Big Bang Blow! Burning Knuckle! And Over Boost!"

"More new Armor Monsters?!" exclaimed Elize. 'Okay, I already encountered Psychic Armor Head, Active Guard, Big Bang Blow, and Over Boost! But, I still don't know Active Guard, Over Boost, and Burning Knuckle's effects! This isn't going to be easy!'
"Yeah, that's right! More Armor Monsters mean more power for me!" said Valon. "And here's something else you should know! Burning Knuckle's effect activates! It gains 200 extra Attack Points for each Armor Monster I control, including itself!"
Burning Knuckle - (EARTH/Machine/Armor) - LV3 - (1000/1000)
"And as much as I like to attack your Monster, I have to do this first! Go, Dark Ruler No More! This Spell card makes it so the effects of all your Monsters are negated for the rest of this turn! Fortunately for you, though, you also take no damage, either, so you're safe for now! Now, I'll attack with Big Bang Blow!"
Valon leapt in the air, somersaulting before he soared towards Luna the Moon Charmer, who held up a barrier in an effort to defend herself. Unfortunately, Valon's raw strength and strong willpower overcame her defenses and she was pummeled to the ground, destroyed.
As soon as Valon returned to his side of the field, his Big Bang Blow was also destroyed, and he said, "And now, Big Bang Blow's effect activates! Now all Monsters are destroyed, including mine!"
Like he mentioned, all the Monsters on Elize's side, as well as the Armor Monsters implanted onto Valon's body vanished in an instant, leaving both sides void of any Monsters.
"Now, from my hand, I summon Buster Pyle in Attack Mode!"

"From there, I'll end my turn!"
"My turn, draw!" said Elize. 'He summoned a new Monster before his turn, most likely to both defend and attack at the same time! He may be able to destroy my Monsters through card effects, but I think it's time to take the offensive through one of my own defensive strategies!' "I activate the Spell, Element Chime! I target one Monster on your field, and then I get to add a Charmer Monster whose Attribute is the same as your Monster's Attribute! I choose Aussa the Earth Charmer and set her on the field before I set one card facedown and end my turn!"
"Playing defensive, are we? Alright, I'll play your little game! My move!" said Valon. "I'm sure you're very familiar with Psychic Armor Head's effect, right? It gets to return back to the field after my Standby Phase!"

"Heh, now I get to attack! A shame that I couldn't draw any Armor cards this turn, but it's a small price to pay! I'll attack with Buster Pyle! Oh, and before I forget, lemme introduce Buster Pyle's effects! It can't be destroyed in battle, I take no Battle Damage from battles involving it, and if this card attacks a Monster, then that Monster is destroyed, and after damage calculation, you get hit with 500 Points of Damage!"
"That's...a lot for a Armor Monster!" commented Elize, taken aback.
Amused, Valon grinned. "I know! That's what makes it one of my most favorite Monsters to use! Now, I attack with Buster Pyle!"
Sharp wires shot out from the knuckles of Buster Pyle, but before they could hit Elize's set Monster, she already had a plan in motion. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Book of Taiyou! This flips 1 face-down Monster out on the field into face-up Attack Mode!"
Aussa the Earth Charmer - (EARTH/Spellcaster) - LV3 - (500/1500)
"So what?" scoffed Valon. "My Monster's still gonna destroy your Monster, even if she has higher Attack Points!"
"Now I activate Aussa's Flip effect! Now, she takes control of one EARTH Attribute Monster you control so long as she's active on the field!"
Valon's eyes widened. "Wait, but EARTH Attribute Monster, you mean-?!"
Elize nodded. "Yes! Your Armor Monsters are always EARTH Attribute Monsters, so now I'm going to take control of one of them! And I choose Buster Pyle!"
Aussa used her magical arts and casted a spell over Buster Pyle, forcing it to be relieved from Valon's grip and fly over to Elize's side, equipping itself onto her arm.
"O...kay...I mean, I knew I would take control of that, but I...honestly didn't expect to 'equip' it to myself," admitted Elize, twisting her new armored arm back and forth to check it out. 'I kinda wish it was, maybe green or red? Those are my most favorite colors!'
"Oi! That's not fair at all!" complained Valon. "You probably can't use it as effectively as I can!"
"Um...you just told me its effects, and even if you didn't, I kinda have the card now, so I can read its effects on the text, so I can sorta use it now," pointed out Elize. "And you're right, I probably can't use it as good as you, but I'm willing to try!"
"Grr...! So unfair! I set a card and end my turn!"
"Alright, my move!" said Elize. "I summon Magician's Valkyria in Attack Mode!"
Magician's Valkyria - (LIGHT/Spellcaster) - LV4 - (1600/1800)
"Now, I guess I'll attack! First, I attack with my new Buster Pyle!" Elize thrusted her Buster Pyle forward, only for nothing to happen. "Um...how do I work this t-WHOA!" Like earlier, sharp wires fired from Buster Pyle and struck Psychic Armor Head, knocking both Elize and Valon on their backs against the ground. Elize, for the recoil of the Buster Pyle that she's unfamiliar with, and Valon, for getting hit in the head and thrown to the ground.

"Oh! Mr. Valon! Are you alright?" asked Elize, getting back on her feet. "I didn't mean to-"
"No, no! That was a pretty good hit, if I do say so myself!" said Valon, jumping back to his feet. "Good job, mate!"
Elize nodded. "Okay...if you're alright, then I guess it's okay for me to attack more then...Now, I attack with both Magician's Valkyria and Aussa! Please, both of you! Attack him directly!"
With their combined, elemental magics of both light and earth, Magician's Valkyria and Aussa released a powerful magical wave that hit Valon, making him stumble back as his Life Points took a deep hit.

"I'll end my turn! Mr. Valon, are you sure you're alright?"
"I already told you, I'm fine!" assured Valon. "In fact, I'm so fine, I can activate this! My Continuous Trap, Call of the Haunted, to bring back my Psychic Armor Head in Attack Mode!"

"And now, I'm activating Psychic Armor Head's effect! During my Draw Phase, I can add 1 Armor Monster from my deck to my hand instead of conducting my normal draw! I choose Big Bang Blow! And I'm summoning it to the field!"

"And now I activate the Spell, Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and then discard two! Good! I activate Monster Reborn, and revive my Active Guard to the field!"

"Now the preparations are set! I'm ending this duel right here and now!" declared Valon, clenching his Big Bang Blow fist tightly, prepping himself for a full-on assault.
"Wait a minute!" cried out Elize. "If you attack me with that Big Bang Blow of yours, wouldn't you also get dealt damage, too?"
"Oh, you don't need to worry your pretty little hat about that! Active Guard makes it so I don't take any damage, either Effect or Battle Damage! Now, I'm coming forth and taking out that EARTH Spellcaster of yours! HYAAAAHH!"
"I won't let you!" Elize shouted. "I activate Magician's Valkyria's effect! She's the only Spellcaster-Type that you can attack before you target any other Spellcaster I control!"
"Fine! Makes no difference to me! Big Bang Blow's effect will destroy all Monsters and you'll get hit by the combined Attack Points of all your Monsters anyways!"
"You'll see a difference right after I play my facedown card, the Trap, Attribute Shielder! If a Monster I control is being targeted for an attack, I can negate that attack by sending a Monster from my deck to the Graveyard whose Attribute is the same as the Monster being targeted! Magician's Valkyria is a LIGHT Attribute, therefore, I send Happy Lover, a LIGHT Attribute Monster, to the Graveyard and negate your attack!"
A veil of light showered over Magician's Valkyria, who was shielding Aussa in the process. When Valon struck out with his Big Bang Blow, his attack was deflected and he was thrown back to his side of the field; his attack negated.
'Now, she's focused on defending and blocking my attacks while trying to find chances to strike me back!' thought Valon, panting. 'She's not as good as that furry-lovin' idiot, Joey, but she's still quite impressive! No wonder she beat Alister!'
"Fine, I guess I'll end my turn!"
"My turn, draw!" said Elize. "I'll attack Big Bang Blow with Buster Pyle! Whoa!" This time, Elize stood her ground and had slid back when Buster Pyle was fired at Big Bang Blow, exploding upon impact.
"I activate the effect of my Active Guard!" shouted Valon. "This turn, no Effect or Battle Damage is inflicted onto me! But in exchange, Active Guard is destroyed at the end of this turn!"
'It would be pretty pointless to continue attacking if his Life Points aren't damaged,' thought Elize. 'But even so, I have to get rid of that Psychic Armor Head of his! If he keeps that, then he'll have another Armor Monster in his next turn! I don't know what sort of effects his other Armor Monsters has, but I don't think it's worth the risk to find out more! And there's no need to destroy Active Guard either, because Active Guard will be destroyed at the end of this turn anyways!'
"I attack your Psychic Armor Head with Aussa!"
Aussa merely casted a weak earth spell that cracked through Psychic Armor Head's defenses, leaving Valon with only the Active Guard Monster on his body.
'He's a lot weaker now, but if I don't end this soon, he might use another card to Special Summon all of his other Armor Monsters!' thought Elize. 'Judging from his battle style and strategies, I should try this, then!' "I set a card and end my turn!"
At the moment of Elize's End Phase, Valon's Active Guard shattered apart into pieces, leaving Valon's side of the field completely empty. "My turn, draw! I play Pot of Greed, letting me draw two more cards! Heh, looks like Lady Luck is on my side this round! This duel will be over in a jiffy! I now summon Psychic Armor Head!"
Psychic Armor Head - (EARTH/Machine/Armor) - LV4 - (0/500)
"And now, I activate the Spell, Phoenix Gravitation! Now, because I control Psychic Armor Head on the field, I get to Special Summon all 4 Armor Monsters from my Graveyard! Even though they get destroyed at the end of this turn, it won't matter, because before this turn ends, this duel's finished!"
'Just as I thought! It's coming!' thought Elize, preparing herself as she clenched her Buster Pyle.
"I Special Summon Active Guard! Over Boost! Trap Buster! And Big Bang Blow!"

"Oh, yeah! Now that's the stuff! Time to finish this! One last round! I'll attack with Big Bang Blow!" hollered Valon, springing forward, fully clad in his Armor Monster-like equipment. "Big Bang Blow's effect will destroy all Monsters on your field after you get hit with all of their combined Attack Points! And I'll take no damage thanks to Active Guard's effect! IT'S OVER!"
"For you, that is!" countered Elize. "I activate my Counter Trap! Divine Wind! This activates only when a Monster's effect would inflict Effect Damage onto me! The Effect Damage is negated, and you take the Effect Damage instead with an additional 500 Points of Damage!"
"Wha-?! CRAP!"
It was too late for Valon to throw back his Big Bang Blow punch, as it already collided with a wall of wind surrounding Elize and her Monsters. Although her Monsters were destroyed, including the Buster Pyle, Big Bang Blow's effect literally exploded onto Valon as per the effect of Divine Wind. Combined with him being thrown back by Divine Wind, Valon was sent flying before crashing down on the ground; his body glowing before the rest of his Armor Monsters vanished.

"Mr. Valon! Are you alright?" asked Elize, running to his side as soon as the duel declared her the winner. She kneeled down and helped him sit up properly. "Are you hurt?"
"Gh...No, I'm alright. Just give me a minute, and I'll be back on my feet in no time," assured Valon. "Oh, and stop calling me, Mr., would ya? Makes me feel old!"
"Oh, okay. I'm sorry."
Valon merely shrugged off her apology and instead fished out the many Genex Medallions he received as prize rewards from all of the student duelists he's dueled so far, handing them over to Elize. Unfortunately, the amount he's given her was too much for her, and she ended up being toppled over by the medals, making her fall on her back.
"I'm okay! I'm okay!" assured Elize, collecting all of the medals and trying to carry them in one huge pile, only for several to drop out of her grasp and land on the ground. "Oh! Sorry! I gotta take-Oh, no! Another fell!"
Valon chuckled and started collected the ones that were dropped and decided to carry some of the other medals in her arms, thus sharing her burden. "Here, lemme get those for ya."
"Oh, you don't have to-"
"Nah, I insist. Besides, there's no way you could possibly carry all these back to your dorm. How about I help you carry them back to wherever it is you're living in, and I'll be on my way? I did lose my chance in proceeding further in this bloody tournament, after all."
"Well, okay," Elize finally gave in before giving him a concerned expression. "But, are you sure you can carry all that? If you want, I can take some-"
"Nah, I'll be alright. We've divided our share, after all!" Noticing that she still looked concerned, Valon sighed and gave her a smile. "How about this? We can talk on the way to your living quarters. After all, I want to talk about our duel some more!"
Elize nodded. "Alright, I don't see a problem with that. Actually, your deck is kinda similar like mine! It focuses on both defense and offense! Well, maybe more on defensive, but also on offense! I'm sorry if that doesn't make any sense!"
"Nah, it's alright. Despite my deck being defensive most of the time, I also take pride on staying on the offensive! It's always fun messing with my opponents, making them underestimate me simply because my Armor Monsters have 0 Attack Points! But, your deck kinda seems a bit on the offensive side to me."
"Well, that's because I've improved it a lot ever since the beginning of my school year here! Before, I had a hard time sacrificing my Monsters and always relied on the defensive strategies, but after a while, I've resolved myself and decided to take some offense! Of course, I still prefer playing defensive, but a lot has happened since last year!"
Valon said, "Well, from one fellow defensive-user to another, how about I give you some tips on improving your deck? Who knows, you might even take the whole 'the best offense is a great defense' thing to a whole new level!"
"I'd really appreciate that, Mr- Sorry, I mean, Valon. Maybe I can help you out as well!"
For the rest of the trip back to the Slifer Red Dorms, Elize and Valon distracted themselves from the heavy burden of carrying the Genex Medallions by talking with each other, sharing parts of their lives while also giving advice from one duelist to another about how to improve their decks. When they arrived, Valon dumped his pile in front of Elize's door, bearing farewell to her before leaving her alone.
While walking away, Valon took out his phone and started to call one of his longtime friends. "Oi, Raphael! You wouldn't believe the day I had today! So, you remember that I landed here in Duel Academy today, right? Well, I dueled a lot of worthless blonks and then this girl showed up! ...Yeah, it was the same one Alister dueled, for sure! Did I ask her if she dueled Alister? No! But, with his description, I could tell that that Elize girl was definitely the one! Hmm? How is she like? Well, she's got a lot to learn before she can become a great duelist, but she managed to beat me, so there's a good start! She's also polite, but she's WAY too nice! I mean, that's not really a bad thing, but she really is too nice for her own good! Hmm? What's that? You're not entering the tournament? Aww, that's a bit of a shame, but I guess it can't be helped. You are busy, after all.
But, it really would have been nice for ya to finally meet your daughter after so long."
Plot twist right at the end there! Yeah, it should be pretty obvious what that implies! And before you guys ask something like, "But aren't Elize's parents dead?" Well, that answer's not gonna come in this chapter, but in the chapter Raphael will finally arrive, but that chapter isn't going to be in the next part! Actually, it'll be a long while before he arrived in this story, but I assure you, this will happen right before Season 3, so you can bet that a lot more of Elize's lore will be revealed in Season 2, though more will also come in Season 3 of this story!~
Yeah, I had some difficulty with this duel because I was a little mixed up and confused with Valon's Armor deck! I had to rewatch videos involving all of Valon's duels, but I managed to get the jest of it and hopefully, this is good enough for all you fans out there!
