A/N: I have decided to do a collection of short chapters that are related to this story, but doesn't fit with the flow of the story line. The chapters will be posted in SAMK Go!.

…..

Thanks for the reviews, fav, and follows.

Nightraethingzz: I can tell you that Nightwing didn't say anything important, but he did something with Raven that would be bought up later. And it's not just you. I think that the Nightrae ship is sinking:'(, especially with the rise of Damien/Raven (which I like as well). It is hard to find stories and artworks with Nightwing/Raven. Hopefully, they will make a comeback.

Silent Hessian: Thanks :). I'm glad that you like the chapter and the story, I'm really happy that you think the dialogue is excellent. I always worry that I will misrepresent the characters.

Everyone: Stay safe and be healthy. Enjoy. :) Happy Weekend!

Sorry for the grammar.

Game Night

The mission was simple. They were to retrieve the box and head back to the base with it.

Yet, the mission was complicated. They had to find the box, which constantly moved due to the people that were after it. Furthermore, they had to avoid the enemy as much as possible. If the enemy couldn't be avoided, they had to take down. Permanently.

It was a long night, and one of the Titans was already down. But they pushed on as their fellow Titan waited for them in the common room with his fiancée, watching the mission.

In the years to come, this night would be remembered by all the Titans.

"Put your weapon down, or I'll shoot your girlfriend in the head."

"No!" Willow yelled, trying to escaped the arms of the person who had capture her. "I'm not worth it. Leave me."

Cyborg sat with his back against the wall, wondering how the night turned out like this. He thought back to the beginning.

It was seven o'clock when he rang the doorbell to Willow's house. Game night would begin at eight o'clock. They would make it on time as long as they left Willow's house in fifteen minutes. She lived on a side of the city that was far away from the Tower.

"Hi," she answered the door with a smile. His heart still thumped at the site of her; even though, they had been dating for a little over three months now. "The pies are almost finished." She gave him a quick peck on the lips before moving out of the way to let him in.

The aroma from the pies drifted from her oven to his nose. "Is that blueberry pie?" He asked as she closed the door behind him.

"Yes, it is." She moved past him to go back into the kitchen. He followed behind her.

"But I like apple pie better." He pouted.

"Well, it's not for you. It's for your friend Raven." She took the pies out of the oven and placed them on the stove top to cool. "She likes blueberry pies, right?"

He nodded. "Why are you baking her favorite pie and not mine?"

"Because I want her to like me. You said that she would be the hardest one to win over."

"No, what I said was 'She only prefers to have friendship with people that she already knows, So, don't be offended if she rubs you the wrong way."

"Um-hm. As I said, she will be the hardest one to win over. So, I baked her favorite pie."

"You didn't have to. Apple pie would have been good." When he noticed the look that she gave him, he added. "I'm sure that she will like you from the minute that I introduce you."

"Does she like Retra?"

"Kinda." She was always polite to Retra, but she wasn't overly friendly. She wouldn't talk with her unless she had to.

"Does she like Amy?"

"Um…a little." She hated her. He couldn't understand why. Everyone loves Amy. When he asked about her it, she replied, 'she is trying too hard.' He still didn't know what that meant. "You know what, you should probably add whipped cream on top. Raven loves whipped cream."

"Done." She went to the fridge and grabbed the whipped cream.

"You know you don't have to try so hard. If she doesn't like you, it will be fine, because I'll always like you."

She smiled while adding extra blueberries on top of the whipped cream. "I know, but I'm not doing this for her; I'm doing this for you. I know you are worried about her not having female friends since Kori. I want to be her friend, so you can't stop worrying about her." She put everything up and packed the pies.

He frowned. "That isn't a good reason to become her friend."

"That wasn't the main reason. She's super cool. Plus, I know that you are secretly afraid of her." She kissed him on the lips while handing him the packed pies.

"I'm not scared of her."

"Don't worry. You're still my favorite superhero, but she's a close second."

"I'm not scared of her." He reiterated as he followed her outside.

"That wasn't what I heard." She locked the door.

"You heard wrong."

"If you say so."

"It's not true." He opened the car door for her and handed her back the pies once she got in. She giggled as he pouted.

"You know what else I heard?" She said after he got in the car and started to drive.

"What?"

"You have a hot girlfriend."

"Umm…I don't know about that. She's okay."

"I would have hit you if you weren't driving and I wasn't holding these pies."

He chuckled. "You would have ended up hurting yourself. ¨

¨Don't underestimate me. I´m pretty strong. ¨

¨Hot, strong, and intelligent. What did I do to get so lucky?"

"Nothing, I'm just an angel."

"Heaven," he sang, "must be missing an angel."

"Oh, no." She groaned. "Please don't sing."

He ignored her. "Car, play the karaoke version of Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel by Tavares."

"Car don't." She shouted, but the car didn't listen. He started to sing while tapping his fingers on the car. She groaned.

"Come on, sing. You know, you want to." He tapped her shoulder continually until she did.

It was karaoke in the car. They sang one song after another, while laughing and teasing each other. Cyborg was happy to find a partner that matched him.

He looked at Willow. She had changed since they started dating. She wasn't as shy and was more expressive. But her eyes still twinkle, and she still glowed. He was starting to fall in love with her.

Furthermore, the rumor at the office was dying down as the employees shifted their attentions to other rumors and projects. Still, they were being careful when they went out for dates. It wasn't easy but they made it work.

"…with me!" They song the end of the song as they pull up into the Titans garage.

Willow coughed. "I think, my throat-"

"Shhh!" Cyborg looked around the garage. Something wasn't right. "Try to act normal and put the pies in the backseat." He whispered. He could tell that Willow was scared. "It's going to be okay, but you have to follow my instructions." She nodded. "When you put the pies down, there should be a box under your seat. Grab it and open it."

She did as he said. She grabbed the box and opened it. When it was opened, a voice came through the speaker of the Tower.

"Hello, cool cats. This here is Ding Dong Daddy. Sorry to ruin your game night, but Daddy-O was bored at home and wanted to play, too. So, here's the new game. You have to find the place where I hid the box. But watch out this box likes to move around a lot and so do the bullets. Don't try to run away. The Tower is shut down. Have fun, kids"

Cyborg watched Willow shivered like a leaf. She was scared now, but he knew that once they started to move that she would be fine.

"Don't worry we will be fine." He showed her the items in the box. She relaxed. "Follow me and stay down. If you see something, duck down to the floor."

"Don't worry. I can handle myself." He gave her a smile and a fist bump.

"Here is the immediate plan. I will activate the elevator to stop at each floor. This should lure the people on those floors to the elevator. I'll use the cameras to see if someone comes or not. In the meantime, we will take the freight elevator to the fifth floor. We'll start looking for the box there."

She nodded. "Okay." Cyborg continued, "On the count of three, exit the car and run to the freight elevator over there." She nodded. "One. Two. Three."

They exit the car and quickly ran to the freight elevator. They made it there safely. While the elevator carried them to the fifth floor, Cyborg explained the situation and the long-term plan to Willow.

"Don't worry, we got this." He kissed her quickly.

She nodded and repeated, "We got this."

But they didn't have it. It was all due to his miscalculation. He should have waited for another chance to strike, but he was too impatient. Now, Willow was captured.

They watched from the common room, which was a safe zone for them, as Willow was held captured. Changeling grabbed Retra's hand and hoped that Cyborg and Willow would find a way to win. He couldn't understand how they ended up in this predicament. He thought back to earlier.

"You want to do what?" Retra asked, nearly dropping the bowl in her hands.

They had arrived to the Tower early to set out the food for game night. The food wasn't nothing fancy, just simple party food. However, it was a large amount of food since the Titans ate a lot.

"I want to push back the wedding." He said again. This was not the advice that Willow gave him. When he was going to ask about the affair, he choked. Instead of asking the question that he wanted to ask, those words came out.

"Why? Where is this coming from?" He could tell that she wanted to cry but was holding back the tears. He wanted to hug her and tell her everything was fine. However, he would be lying. Everything was not fine. It wasn't fine because of her.

"You." He told her. "You have been busy with work. You are always going somewhere. Flying out of the country to do a project. When do you have time for a wedding?"

"You don't want to get marry?" She asked in a soft weak voice.

"I didn't say that. If I didn't want to get marry, then I wouldn't have ask."

"Then what are you saying?" Her voice started to get louder as she spoke. She was getting upset and frustrated at his words.

"I'm saying that we should push back the wedding.

"I'm asking you, why. Just because I'm working more doesn't mean we have to push back the wedding."

"Because Retra you have been going here and there, and it seems that you're everywhere else but home. I know that your job is important to you, so I want you to focus on that."

"I can focus on my job and the wedding."

"Really? When was the last time you planned anything for the wedding? Heck, when was the last time you thought about the wedding?"

"Yes, I'm busy with work. It is a tough time for me, for us now, but that's not a reason to push back the wedding."

"Fine. It was only a suggestion." Changeling didn't want to argue anymore. He didn't even want to push back the wedding. He couldn't understand why he couldn't talk to her about the real problem. Instead, they were arguing over something that wasn't important.

"It's not fine. You are making me the bad guy here. If you know that I'm busy with work, then why don't you help with the wedding plan. I 'm not the only one in the wedding."

"Fine." He said. He just wanted to end it.

"I know, it's not fine. Just say what you want to say." She was yelling at this point.

"I want you home." He yelled back. "There, I said it. I want to come home and not wonder where in the world are you all the time."

"Sorry, Gar, if I can't be home all the time. If I can't cook you dinner, or wash your clothes, or whatever else you want me to do. I have other responsibility than you."

"I know. That's why you miss my birthday last month." He stared at her shock face. "You would have known if you were home."

"Gar, I.." She sounded remorseful.

"I'm not even mad that you miss my birthday, or you forgot about it. I'm mad that you stopped paying attention to us."

"Gar, I'm so so so so sorry. It just…. I'm sorry." Her head hung down as a loud silence filled the room. When she looked up, she was determined about something. "Gar, I-"

"Hello, cool cats. This here is Ding Dong Daddy." The voice cut into their conversation. "Sorry to ruin your game night, but Daddy-O was bored at home and wanted to play, too. So, here's the new game. You have to find the place where I hid the box. But watch out this box likes to move around a lot and so do the bullets. Don't try to run away. The Tower is shut down. Have fun, kids."

"We'll talk about it later," Changeling said. "Let's find the box." Retra nodded. She wasn't new to this situation. She knew the drill.

"Okay, later," she said.

However, they ended up talking about it while they were fighting. They got too distracted and ended up in the common room watching the others.

Nightwing waited for Cyborg's answer before he could give a signal to Raven. This situation was favorable as long as Cyborg made the right move. While he waited, his thoughts wondered back to earlier.

"So, are you ready for our first triple date?"

Rachael groaned. "This is not a triple date. This is game night. It's like any other game night."

Richard smiled at her. "If you say so."

She rolled her eyes. "Guys."

"Hey! Don't compare me to other guys. They aren't as perfect as me."

"The way you stroke your own ego is appalling…Don't say it."

He smirked at her. "I'm not because you'd already thought about it."

She groaned again before saying, "Tonight, don't be overly competitive. It's not a good look for the leader of the team."

"What! I haven't been that way since we were young."

"If you say so."

"I'm-"

"Your friend is here." He looked up to the sky to see Batwing coming down. They were currently on top of Wayne Enterprise Building. They were waiting for Batwing to hand him a package from Bruce.

"I'm not competitive any more." He finished his statement.

"And that's why you have to have the last word."

He wanted to reply to her comment, but he didn't want to prove her point. So, he remained quiet until Batwing landed.

"Hi, Detective Grayson. And Ms.-"

"Rachael." She filled in.

"Nice to meet you." Batwing held out his hand.

"Nice to meet you, too." Raven shook his metal-covered hand.

"If you don't mind Miss Rachael, can you give Dic-Detective Grayson and I a moment."

"Don't worry. She knows." He tilted his head to Rachael. "She's my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend? I didn't know you were dating again."

"How about I wait over there." Rachael pointed her thumb to the other side of the roof.

"You don't have to go; it's a quick drop off."

Rachael looked at Batwing then back to him. "It's fine. This seems like family business." She walked off, and they waited until she was out of earshot before they started to talk.

"It must be serious if she knows the both of you."

"Yeah, it is." He confirmed, taking the package from him. "What is this?"

"I don't know. Bats said you would know what to do with it when the time comes."

"Mysterious as always." Dick jested.

"You know him better than I do. So, how long have you been dating?"

"About three months."

"Are you sure you can trust her?"

"Now you are starting to sound like Bruce."

"He tends to rub off on you."

"I still don't know if that's a bad thing or a good thing."

"You never answer my question."

"I trust her with my life, and I've known her for years."

"She's a super." Dick nodded. "She's not your usual type. You know: red hair, green eyes, and can kick your butt. You sure, you like her?"

Dick started to get annoyed. "I already said that I do. Why are you asking?"

He held up his hands. "I'm just trying to figure out how awkward it's going to be to deliver this message from Barbara."

He raised an eyebrow. "What message?" He listened as Batwing relayed the message. "You were right that was awkward. She actually said that."

"Yes, but she was drunk, in her defense. But she confirmed that she wanted the message told when she was sobered."

He rubbed the back of his neck. "I wish you hadn't told me."

"Does it make a difference?"

"No, I'm in love with Rachael now. She completes me."

"And so, did Barbara at one point?"

That was true. Barbara had completed him. Starfire had completed him. And so, did all the other women in between. However, with Rachael, it was something different. He couldn't explain it but there was something else.

"Wait, is that Raven?" He whispered loudly. "I thought, they said she had a scar on her face."

"You ran her face in the database, didn't you?"

"Of course. But seriously, man, you are dating Raven? Does Cyborg know?"

Dick gave him a confuse look. "No. Nobody on the team does. We thought it would be for the best." Batwing chuckled. "What is it?"

"Nothing," he said, shaking his head at him. "But call me as soon as you tell Cyborg."

"Why?"

"Sorry to break up this reunion," Rachael said, walking toward them, "but game night is going to begin soon, and, if I calculated it right, I don't want to miss tonight's prize."

"Game night?" Batwing inquired.

"We used to have it once a month at the Tower." Nightwing explained. We haven't had it since Starfire left. We're trying to start it back up. Care to join?"

"Sorry, man, I need to check on something else in the city and head on back to Gotham. I got a meeting in the a.m. Besides, you are too competitive to play with."

"See, I told you." Raven smirked beside him.

"What? He thought he wasn't?"

"Yes, he thinks that he is the perfect person." She informed him. "He thinks that he is nice, funny, and well-balance."

"That's his ego talking. It's pretty big. Hopefully, it will go down someday."

"I doubt it."

"Me too, but one can hope. Maybe you should call him ugly once a day. He is pretty vain about his looks, too."

"Trust me; I know. But what can I say? I'm going out with him."

Batwing nodded. "You must have a good heart to –"

"Hey, guys, I'm right here."

"Oh, yeah, you are." They said at the same time.

"Well, nice meeting you, Ms. Rachael." He held out his hand.

"You too." She shook it again.

"Good luck with Dick."

"Thanks, I'll need it."

"Bye, Dick. See you next time."

"Bye. Tell everyone that I said hi."

"No problem." He was off in the air.

"You really think that I'm vain."

She looked at the clock on her phone. "We have ten minutes before game night. Didn't you say you need to do something downstairs?" She headed to the door on the rooftop.

"You really think that I am vain?" He yelled after her. She never answered.

Rachael sat on her bed with her arms hugging her legs as she cried, trying to get her emotions under control. Dick was gone from her life. She couldn't believe what happened tonight.

"And the winners are …." Nightwing walked into the common room holding the box in his hand. It was high up in the air like a trophy.

Raven walked behind him, shaking her head. And he said he wasn't competitive.

Changeling moaned from the couch. "Dude, what happened to you? I thought you had them."

Cyborg signed. "I thought that I had them, too, but I miscalculated."

"Now, his ego.." Changeling said.

"…is just…" Retra added.

"…going to get..." Cyborg continued.

"Bigger." Raven finished.

"I don't have a big ego." Nightwing defended himself.

"Suuuure." Everyone, except Willow, said.

"Willow doesn't think so, right, Willow?" He turned to asked Cyborg's girlfriend.

"I can't say that you have a big ego." She pushed a microbraid behind one of her ears. "But you are very competitive."

Rachael smirked at him, happy that someone else said it. That was two other people who had said it today. He mumbled something before going to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.

Cyborg coughed loudly to get everyone's attention. When he had it, he said." Everyone I would like to officially introduce my girlfriend, Willow." Everyone gave their greetings to Willow, who returned them.

"Good job out there." Retra said. "Not bad for your first game night."

"Thanks" Willow said. "I felt my heart dropped when the voice came through the speaker. I was relieved when Victor told me it was part of game night."

In order to avoid arguments over which game to play, the Tower was program to randomly select the game for game night. Nightwing thought it would be fun to add a story plot with some of the games, like the one tonight.

"He didn't tell you before?" Changeling asked. She shook her head no.

"I wanted to see her facial expression." Cyborg said.

"That's mean. I almost drop the – the pies are still in the car." She turned to Cyborg.

"We can go down into the garage together." Retra said. "I left the cookies in our car."

"I have to go down as well. I left a package in my bike." The only package in his bike was the package that Batwing gave him. She knew that he was planning to take that package back to his home.

The only reason why he wanted to go down with them was due to the fact that Cyborg's girlfriend was still a new face. Although he did trust Retra, he didn't trust her to watch Willow while they were downstairs alone.

"I'll get it for you." Their eyes connected in understanding. It was easier for her to lie and say that she didn't see a package.

"You don't have to."

"I don't want to stay up here with you guys. It is already bad enough that I'm the only female on the team now."

"Thanks." He gave her a smile and her heart melted.

"No problem."

.

"What kind of pie did you bake?" Retra asked once they were on the elevator. For once Raven was happy for her presence. She wasn't great at conversations.

"Blueberry pie with whipped cream." Willow answered. Raven licked her lips subconsciously. She loved blueberry pies. Whipped cream was a plus. "What kind of cookies did you make?"

"Chocolate chips."

"I heard that you are a good baker."

"I try. I'm the only girl around here that can give the boys a run for their money when it comes to cooking. It's nice to have another person of the same gender to share recipes with, if don't mind."

"I don't, and I understand. Most guys are secretive about their recipes. 'Don't forget.' What is the sign for?"

Raven and Retra turned to looked at the sign posted on the wall of the elevator. It had the words 'Don't forget' and a date that already passed. No one had taken the sign down yet.

"It's a reminder for Terra's memorial service." Raven answered. She used her power to take the sign down. "We had it last week."

Willow commented. "You all are kind to have a memorial service after what happened. It's not easy to forgive." There were mixed reviews among the civilians about Terra. Some saw her as a villain, who had gotten what she deserved. Others saw her as a hero, who had made a mistake and tried to correct it

She looked at Retra who shifted. She thought back to the night that she saw her at Thai Night. "I can't speak for the others, especially Changeling." They turned to looked at her. " But, the only reason why I forgave her is because she's dead." It wasn't public knowledge that Terra was no longer a stony statute, so Willow didn't know that Retra could be Terra.

"And as long as she is dead, I can keep forgiving her," Raven continued.

"It shouldn't matter if she's dead or alive." Retra said as their eyes connected. "If you forgave her, you forgave her."

"It's harder to forgive people that are alive, because they tend to make the same mistake. Dead people can't do that."

"Isn't ten years enough time to forgive and forget."

"When I think that I can forgive her, things about her keeps popping back up. Things that I didn't like her."

"She was once your friend."

"I like her better dead. I don't have to worry about her stabbing us in the back again." Retra's eyes narrowed and she looked away.

The elevator grew quiet and they spent the remainder of the ride down and the one going back up in silent. Willow tried to make conversation again, but it didn't work. Conversation only resumed when they were back with the guys.

….

"Are you ready to go home?" She felt Dick behind her as she grabbed another slice of pie. This was her third one. It was really good. She liked Willow. She had to tell Cyborg later.

Rachael looked at tonight's group. Tonight, had been fun. It was a much-needed gathering. But she was tired and wanted to go home. Plus, Dick wouldn't leave without her, and he had to go to work in the morning.

"Yes, let's go home." He nodded.

"After I finish this pie."

He shook his head as they walked back to the others. "I never knew that you had a sweet tooth. Where do you put everything?" He looked her up and down, causing her to shiver.

"It's my demon blood. It prevents me from having unnecessary fat by burning calories for me."

"That's one way to avoid going to the gym. You never told me that when I asked on you about your blood before."

She looked at him after they sat down. "Because what I just said was a lie. You are so gullible sometimes."

He smiled at her and leaned closer. "You know, you have been mean to me all day." He whispered. "Don't be mad at me if I punish you for it later."

"You two are close." They turned to look at Willow who was staring at them along with everyone else. It took everything inside her not to move away from Nightwing, to act normal.

"They are best friends." Changeling said.

"Really? I didn't know. It felt like a triple date for a moment." From the corner of her eyes, she saw her boyfriend's mouth turned up slightly.

"No, they are only close because of the four friends in a group rule."

"A group of four friends must consist of two sets of best friends."

"Exactly. See." He turned to look at Raven. "She gets it."

"I'm happy that there are people that can relate to you." Raven said, standing up. "It's late. I'm going home." She was finished with her pie.

"I think that I will follow my best friend out. Good night." They went to Dick's place separately.

.

"Open it before I kill you." Rachael sat cross legged on the bed, waiting for Dick to opened the box from game night. They have been sharing the same bed often since the night after her meeting with Finder. Dick claimed that he slept better with her beside him. She was okay with the arrangement since she slept better with him, too.

The only issue was Mari. She hated that she had been spending the night with Dick. It took away time from finding Slade, and she didn't like him in the loft. It meant that she would have remained in the mirror while he was there.

Eventually, they found a compromise. She would look for Slade when Dick was at work. She, also, would spend the night at Dick's place, so she could have the loft to herself. The compromise was working for the most part.

"You know, at times like these, I think, you secretly hate me."

"I thought, I was being obvious., but I hate you."

"Cute." He crawled on the bed and kissed her.

She pushed him away. "The box."

"Wow. You do hate me." He got off the bed and handed her the box.

Impatiently, she pushed the button to open the box. She smiled once she pulled out the tickets. "VIP passes to a weekend at Spa Land. Yes!" Spa Land was a high end, spa resort that Raven couldn't afford on her on.

"How did you know this would be the prize."

"I bribed Cyborg into telling me."

"You have no shame in that."

"None."

"Too bad you won't be going." He snatched the passes from her hands. "I got the passes, not you."

"That's not funny." She said with a serious face.

"You should've grabbed the box." He smirked at her. She smirked back. She used her power to slam a pillow on the side of his face. She took the tickets back and flew through the wall.

He grabbed her leg before she could completely phrase through. He pulled her back through as she tried to escape his grip. Once she was fully back on in the room, he repositioned his grip on her and slammed her on the bed. His body caged her in.

"That wasn't nice."

She struggled against him. "You claiming the passes for yourself wasn't nice either."

"Fine, you get to keep the passes if you apologize to me for being mean to me all day."

Her eyes narrowed. "Sorry for hurting your feelings."

He smiled down at her. "That doesn't sound sincere. I guess, I have to take my apology another way." His lips descend down on hers. Their lips moved together as their bodies relaxed against each other. Soon their soft kisses turned into a heavy make out session.

He pulled back. The looked that he gave her sent her nerves in a frenzy. Her heart pounded loudly in her chest. Surely, he could hear it.

Not wanting for the feeling to end, she wrapped her arms around his neck. She tried to pull his head back down, but he didn't move.

"Rae." His voice was deep and husky and did things to her. "I want you." Heat suffused her whole body. She wanted what he was asking, too. She really did but…

She saw it. It was slowly clouding his eyes, already determining her answer.

"No," She said, turning her head.

After a moment, he said, "Okay." He removed himself off of her to sit on the edge of the bed. "It's getting late. We should probably get some sleep.

"Dick." She sat up with her knees to her chest. She felt tears coming. She prayed that this wouldn't be Goth all over again.

He looked at her with a small smile on his lip. "It's okay; we will go at your pace."

She took a deep breath and exhale. "You misunderstood." The scene with Goth replayed in her head. She felt sad, ashamed, anger, and alone. Not the first time in her life, she wished that she wasn't different compare to everyone else.

"I wasn't saying 'no' to now. I'm saying no forever."
