Chapter 29. Foolish and naïve girl
Sometimes there are moments when you just can't remember something for a few days or weeks and then suddenly just remembers it. This happened to Mukuro just a moment ago. He finally remembered it. However Mukuro didn't know if he should feel glad. Mukuro look down at his hands. The music box was letting out the same lullaby he had always heard whenever he looked into the child's mind. He finally remembered where he had heard the lullaby before all of this happened.
He took out one of the pictures that was in the music box. The picture showed little Nagi and Erica being together. Mukuro let out a cynical laugh. Chrome was with her mother? Chrome kept this music box as a secret to everyone so no one knows about the lullaby except for three people. Mukuro himself, Chrome and Erica who had made this lullaby.
Mukuro couldn't believe it. Erica was the very last person Chrome would ever stay with. It made sense why the Vongola Famiglia couldn't find Chrome even though they were using all of their effort to find Chrome. How can the Vongola Famiglia ever imagine Chrome will be with a stranger who she just met at the party? Mukuro who knew Erica was Chrome's mother, couldn't even imagine that possibility because he knows how much Chrome wanted to avoid that woman. Whoever idea it was for Chrome to stay with Erica, it was very clever.
Mukuro closed the music box. He didn't want to hear it anymore. He could feel a bitterness in his heart. He should be glad that he finally found where Chrome is… He should be relief that Chrome is really safe since Erica did seemed to really care Chrome again… However it felt bitter that Chrome would choose to live with Erica just to hide from him. Also now that he knows where Chrome is…he didn't have a reason why he should leave the child alive anymore.
Mukuro rubbed his face with his hands. He tried to ignore the pain inside him. Even if he didn't want to, he can't let the child live. He already noticed the child was starting to absorb more flame the more she was growing. Isn't it an obvious choice to at least save Chrome's life and kill the baby than leaving both of them to die? He knows…but why is it that he was hesitating to go to the illusion world and meet the child for the one last time…
"Just how much more of a weak and pathetic herbivore are you trying to be?"
Mukuro immediately frowned in annoyance as soon as he recognize that voice. He really didn't want to deal with that skylark right now. Mukuro let out a warning that he was serious.
"Oya, oya, for once, leave me alone."
"Why should I?"
Of course, Hibari didn't listen to Mukuro and step into Chrome's room. Hibari was actually very unpleased right now. He did enjoy watching Mukuro suffer because Chrome was gone. However Hibari was starting to get annoyed how much Mukuro was starting to show weakness. Mukuro was someone Hibari wanted to bite him to death and finally gain his pride again. However his pride wouldn't recover on biting a weak herbivore to death.
When Chrome was with Mukuro, Mukuro was slowly but clearly turning into an herbivore. That annoyed Hibari. The Mukuro he wanted to bite to death was the past Mukuro who was cruel and strong. Not this herbivore who was pathetically missing Chrome in her room. Hibari thought Mukuro would turn back to his cruel past nature if Chrome wasn't in his life anymore. However the more the time goes the more it only seemed like Mukuro was getting weak. Hibari finally lost his patience of waiting. He would just bite this herbivore to death and end his shameful past of getting defeated to this herbivore 10 years ago. It would be an unsatisfied fight but Hibari didn't want to waste his time on an herbivore anymore.
Hibari took out his tonfas. Mukuro didn't response which only made Hibari irritated. Hibari provoke Mukuro.
"You turned into a weak and pathetic herbivore because of her. But I think she is more pathetic than you. Being too naïve of accepting you again even though she knew she would get hurt again. It's also her fault how she ended up like this. I won't be surprise if she is found dead somewhere. She has always been a foolish woman making stupid decision every time about you."
Mukuro felt like something snap inside him. A trident was immediately made from the mist and Mukuro charged toward Hibari with killing intents. Hibari raised his tofas with a satisfying blood thirsty grin on his face.
[Foolish and naïve girl. Her father almost always says that to her so it was natural for her to wonder what that means. Which was why she was back in her mother's subconscious again. It was getting easier for her to enter here now as she was slowly understanding how to use her flame.
She noticed her body was small again. She doesn't understand nor think it was weird that her body was sometimes big or small. She didn't have the knowledge of age. However it was uncomfortable to move in this small body. She can only crawl and even that takes a lot of effort. It would be easier to move if her body was big just like when she meets her father in the illusion world. As soon as she desire it, her body immediately changed into a teen from the baby.
She tilted her head. She never knew she was able to do this before. But she never tried because she never felt the need of it until now. She got up on her feet and walked to one of the lotus. Between the countless lotuses she could always find the lotus she wants as if it was a natural thing.
However for the first time, she was confused if she found the right lotus. All the lotus she had wanted to find before were all beautiful. However this one was wounded. It made her hesitate to touch that lotus. But…this was the right one she was finding. Finally, she carefully touch the lotus.]
14 years old Chrome looked nervously at Mukuro. It's been a year since Mukuro suddenly left with the Kokuyo gangs. Chrome was heartbroken to be left alone but she was thankful that Mukuro would sometimes come to the illusion world to see her. It gave her a feeling that she wasn't completely abandoned.
Every time Chrome sees Mukuro in the illusion world, her heart will always start to beat fast. She fell in love with him the moment she saw him in the illusion world and told her he needed her. It was her first love and it wasn't getting weaker even though she knows he left her. Maybe it was because of that love that she suddenly wanted more today. She didn't want much. She just wanted to touch him first...
Chrome was nervous and hesitating for minutes now. She was finally able to gain some courage and carefully tried to touch his hand. However before her hand could reach his, Mukuro moved his hand away from her. Chrome flinched at that obvious rejection. Chrome quickly lowered her face as soon as she saw Mukuro's smirk, but his eyes were very displeased. She didn't had the courage to look at him anymore.
"Foolish and naïve girl."
Chrome felt like his words were stabbing her countlessly. It was the first time she ever heard him directly insulting her in her face. Chrome needed to use all her strength not to cry.
"I'm…sorry…"
She couldn't hide her voice from shaking. Chrome apologized because he was right. She tried to cross the line and that immediately provoke Mukuro. Today, she learned Mukuro didn't like being touched first and…wouldn't accept her to get anymore closer with him than this…master and puppet relationship. Chrome knew she would never try to touch Mukuro again after this. 'Foolish and naïve girl.' It echo inside her head again. Chrome tried to suppress all her emotions deep inside her. But it was really painful to feel.
[She took out a painful gasp as soon as the memory stop. She could feel tears running down her face by being influence at what her mother had felt. Her heart felt so painful.

Was that what it meant the whole time? Her body started to tremble at her mother's memory and her memories of her father saying those words to her many times… Although she was sometimes scared of her father, she was getting more attached to him the more they met. Even if her father didn't gave love how her mother once did, she could feel some warmness from him. That made her waiting to see her father again in the illusion world.
However learning that word what it means, the warmth she had felt from her father now felt like a lie. Had he been always mocking her and hating her this whole time? But the warmness she had felt did seemed real. She felt so confused. Has her father really never cared her once?
She suddenly felt her legs losing strength and she tripped, accidently touching another lotus. Her face got pale as she noticed this lotus was wounded too.]
Chrome let out a painful groan as she got up from the bed. She was feeling very awful right now. She just suddenly remembered the time when Mukuro had insulted her when she tried to touch him first. It got worse when she instantly remember the moment she was in the hospital ICU, hearing her mother's hurtful words toward her. Chrome couldn't understand why she just suddenly remember those two painful moments without any reasons. The memories were all very clear and she could even remember all the emotions she felt. It felt like she was experiencing those moment all over again.
Chrome rubbed her right eye patch. Although it can't really hurt, sometimes Chrome would feel pain from it. Especially when she remembers the past when she was in the ICU as Nagi. Chrome was starting to feel very stressful. Chrome's mind was already unstable for the past few days but now it seemed like those memories made her condition worse.
In the mafia world, a flame user is a very powerful being. They can make an enormous destruction which an ordinary people can never do. Destroying a building all by itself? To a skillful flame user, that was nothing hard to do. Therefore having two very powerful and skillful flame user fighting inside the building…that was a living disaster. Which was happening in the Vongola headquarter right now.
"Quickly everyone evacuate!"
"But sir, shouldn't we try to stop the Cloud and Mist Guardians?"
"Do you want to die? You'll get kill before you even reach them!"
One of the Vongola executive shouted at the man. He looked where the fighting was being occur. Although they were pretty far away, he could see enormous fire pillar erupting from the floor and walls. It was like a living hell. The executive knew that was an illusion Rokudo Mukuro made but he wasn't a fool to approach that place just because it was an illusion. That was real illusion made by one of the most powerful illusionist in the world. To most people, that was just real. The executive wipe away the sweats on his forehead. Although he was far away from the fight, he could feel the enormous heat from the fire pillar.
A loud destruction sound was suddenly heard and the building also suddenly shook for a moment. A long steel chain destroyed one of the wall. The Vongola members could see Hibari swinging his tonfa and the long steel chain that was connected with the tonfa, attacks Mukuro. Mukuro raised his trident and block the chain before it hits him.
The executive shook his head. Those two were monsters fighting inside a burning hell and destroying everything that was in their way. He doesn't know why they were suddenly fighting and he probably won't know it in the future too. He starts to focus on his job at evacuating the Vongola members again.
"Help the injured ones and quickly everyone get out of here!"
The executive looked around. He had sent some men to tell the boss and the Guardians about the fight between Rokudo Mukuro and Hibari Kyoya. They are the only ones who could stop this fight. However none of them seemed to arrive yet. He was getting worried because the longer the fight goes on, the more the Vongola headquarter will be destroy and unlucky men will get seriously injured or die.
Hibari couldn't get the grin off his face. His grin only got wider when Mukuro's trident almost pierce is chest. Just losing a slight of his concentration or making a mistake could end up giving him a life threatening injury or worse, lose is life. The killing intent coming from Mukuro was real. This is what Hibari wanted for a long time. To have a life threatening fight against Rokudo Mukuro and finally bite him to death. There couldn't be anything more exciting and satisfying than that.
Hibari blocked Mukuro's trident with his tonfa. Both of them were pushing each other's weapon with their strength. Slowly, Hibari's tonfa started to push Mukuro's trident. A sign that Hibari's strength was upper hand than Mukuro. Hibari smirked and provoke Mukuro even more.
"After 10 years, I thought you would be a better opponent than this. Not only you had made a weakness by starting to care that woman, you have weaken yourself."
Hibari immediately back away as soon as he felt danger underneath him. Just as he expected, an enormous fire pillar with coaled lotuses, erupted where he was standing a moment ago. Even for Hibari who had bite countless of illusionist to death, Mukuro's illusion was dangerous to him too. Hibari's Vongola ring let out a flame. Hibari's tonfas were now blazing with Cloud flame. Hibari dodged the fire pillars and charged towards Mukuro, swinging his tonfa with all his strength.
Mukuro blocked the tonfa with his trident, but this time Mukuro's body flew across the room and hit the wall. For the first time in their fight, Mukuro actually collapse to the ground. Hibari was feeling a mixture of satisfaction and disappointment. He was satisfied that finally after 10 years, he was the one standing and looking down at him while Mukuro was at the floor. He felt disappointed that Mukuro wasn't as powerful as Hibari had expected.
"What were you doing for 10 years Rokudo Mukuro? You're more pathetically weak than I had ever imagine."
"Kufufu."
Mukuro let out a small laugh while getting up from the floor. Hibari quietly gripped his tonfas harder as he noticed something changed from Mukuro. Mukuro stand up tall and looked at Hibari.
"You know, I sometimes had fun fighting you, but your pride of being powerful…sometimes really irritates me. You want to always overwhelm others in fight, because that is your pride. You're strong because your life values your pride more than your life."
"What nonsense are you suddenly talking about?"
"Kufufu. You know we both have some similarity. Both of us always have hunger to be more powerful. However do you know what the difference between us about that is? You want to be stronger than others because you can't stand having your pride stain with defeat. To me that is a cute reason."
Mukuro placed his right hand on his red right eye and pierces it.
"While I seek power to survive and destroy everything."
Blood started to come from Mukuro's right eye and when he lowered his hand, Mukuro's red eye show the kanji '五', the realm of humans. The most powerful and dangerous path of his six path of reincarnation.
"Oya, oya, do you think you really stand a chance against me?"
Hibari immediately raised his tonfa at his face in an instinct as soon as he suddenly felt danger. Hibari felt a heavy blow on his tonfa by Mukuro's trident. Even though Hibari's feet were stable on the ground, he was pushed a few inches away because of Mukuro's strength.
Hibari didn't show it on his face but he was a bit surprised. Mukuro became much stronger than a moment ago. Was it because of the fifth realm Mukuro was using? Mukuro almost never used it and it was the first time Hibari was actually seeing Mukuro using this realm. Because of that, Hibari didn't have much information about the fifth realm, only that it was the most powerful realm Mukuro had.
The fight was much more intense now. Hibari started to get some cut wounds from Mukuro's attack. The Vongola headquarter was getting destroyed but none of the two was even interested at that. They were only focus in their fight.
"You think getting beaten is insulting? What do you know about being insulted? All your life you were in an upper class. You had never experience anything too harsh that your stubborn pride could be your highest value."
Mukuro cynically said to Hibari, while attacking him. Hibari Kyoya was born in a rich upper class family. Because his family had power in Japan and especially Namimori, it was why he was never in trouble for beating people and had a huge authority in Namimori middle school than the principal. Also Hibari's family was rich enough to have their own helicopter.
However Mukuro was the opposite. He was one of the lowest class in society. An orphan, born in the mafia. There was no one to protect him or take care of him, no protection from the law because he was born in the mafia and didn't even have a birth registration. Violence and insulting was always in his life. An individual pride is nothing but a useless emotion for the lowest class. Instead they have to quickly learn to throw it away in the trash to survive. After Mukuro became powerful, he did build up his own pride. However Mukuro never forgotten his childhood and the things he had to went through.
Therefore, watching Hibari being obsessed with trying to beat him just to recover his pride of getting defeated for the first time, it was just an entertainment to Mukuro. In Mukuro's eyes, Hibari didn't know what true suffering and insulting is in life. If getting defeated is Hibari's biggest insult for his pride, Mukuro is willing to give that insult to Hibari again. For real. Mukuro was truly angry at Hibari's irritating obsession of fighting him and most of all, the insult toward his Chrome.
Mukuro's illusion was getting much more aggressive and dangerous. Even for Hibari, this kind of illusion was dangerous. As Hibari avoid one of Mukuro's illusion, Mukuro suddenly appeared inside one of illusion and attack Hibari. Mukuro's trident successfully pierce deep into Hibari's right shoulder. Hibari ignored the pain and tried to fight back but Mukuro easily dodge his tonfa.
Hibari slightly frowned as he was hurt again from Mukuro's attack. He did enjoy fighting Mukuro and having this kind of life threatening fight. However Hibari hated it when he was the one losing. The flame on Hibari's Vongola ring started to get bigger, giving Hibari more power. Hibari started to fightback. He also started to taunt Mukuro while still fighting.
"Do I think getting beaten is insulting? Yes of course. Because I value myself most. I'm not interest in others opinion in life and why should I care? We both live in our stubborn ways. I seek power for my pride. While you seek to survive and destroy everything? That explains why you also destroyed Chrome's life again."
"…!"
Mukuro was taken aback for a moment and it made him numb for a second. However Hibari didn't lose that short time and gave a perfect hit at Mukuro's face with his tonfa. Mukuro immediately stand up straight and gain his concentration on the fight again. However Mukuro had to spit out some blood from his mouth. Hibari didn't give Mukuro some time to catch his breath and attack him again.
"2 years ago, every Guardian knew something happened between you and Chrome. Just suddenly one day, she woke up in pain. The medical team couldn't find out why she was in pain because there was nothing wrong with her. Sawada Tsunayoshi assumed it must had something to do with you because while she was unconscious she sometimes desperately murmured your name like she was begging to you. So the little herbivore ask help to Mammon and Fran since nobody can really understand illusionist expect only same illusionists."
Mukuro got hit at Hibari's tonfa again. However Mukuro couldn't feel the pain. Instead his mind felt numb again when Hibari started to tell him what happened 2 years ago. This was something Mukuro didn't knew.
"The two herbivore told an interesting story. They said her mind was badly damaged and that was the reason of her pain. But they didn't know the reason why. There was nothing anyone can do except to just wait until her mind is recover. Her pain almost lasted for a week. I have a theory why her mind was so damaged. Tell me if I'm right."
"Shut up!"
"You cut off the mind connection with Chrome didn't you?"
Hibari didn't have to wait for Mukuro's answer because the guilt and uneasiness Mukuro was showing was already telling the answer. Hibari wasn't an illusionist but he knew a lot about illusionist, ironically because he hated illusionist. A mind connection was a very high technic that most illusionist can't even try. However once the mind connection is made, it connects the two person very strongly that it could be said they were now one person. Therefore forcing to break a mind connection was very dangerous.
"I'm surprised she survived that. Even though her pain was gone, she almost lived like a lifeless person for months as if she didn't know why she should keep living. I would give you credit Rokudo Mukuro. You did an excellent job of trying to destroy her life!"
Hibari didn't stop fighting Mukuro while taunting him. Although Mukuro was a strong opponent, Hibari successfully hit Mukuro with his tonfa again. Mukuro took a few step back at the pain.
"We have some common but do you know what's the most difference is? I'm honest to myself. I know what I want. But you are always dishonest with yourself. Because of that, you make everything much more complicated. Just like how you made all of these results with Chrome."
To Hibari, being dishonest with himself was something he couldn't understand. It was such a foolish thing, wasting time and energy. Hibari was a man who doesn't hide things while Mukuro always tries to hide everything. Even in this fight, Hibari didn't hesitate at using all his strength and technic but Mukuro…he was still not using all of this power. Which was why Hibari was taunting Mukuro. He wanted Mukuro to fight with everything he got, because biting that Mukuro to death would be the most satisfying revenge Hibari could get.
"I agree with you something. Chrome is just as what you once called her. Foolish and naïve girl. Having a relationship with you, who already abandoned her two times. Still accepting you even though everyone was suspension why you suddenly came back. Because of her foolish and naïve decision, she ended up kidnapped while she was pregnant with your child. I can never understand a fool like her, who always put you first than herself."
"Kufufu…"
Mukuro suddenly let out a small laugh. However his eyes were very cold with rage. Mukuro finally lost any little piece of self-control of himself. He lets his rage take over him. Mukuro could not stay rational after hearing insult about his Chrome. Yes, Mukuro agrees Chrome did many foolish and naïve decisions just like what Hibari just said. However because of her foolish and naïve decision…she was able to cure his heart and even be his light. Mukuro wasn't going to let anyone go away with insulting Chrome.
The two hell rings on Mukuro's finger each started to flame their unique and ominous Mist flame. Mukuro could feel the hell ring's Mist flame starting to fun through his vein and giving him the cursed powers. Mukuro's aura became much more powerful and dangerous.
Hibari could feel his instinct shouting out a warning to him. Base on the dangerous and powerful aura from Mukuro and the strong killing intent in the air…Hibari now has to be really serious of fighting Mukuro. Because just a small simple mistake might even lead to his death. Hibari let out a satisfying smile. This was perfect! This was what he had always wanted and waited for 10 years.
Hibari didn't like how Mukuro was dating Chrome. The more time past, the more Hibari could see Mukuro was getting softer. He was becoming a beast with a muzzle on his mouth. However the muzzle was finally completely off right now. Now there was a blood thirsty beast with only the intent of killing his opponent in front of him.
Both of them didn't need to talk anymore. No, even using the slight of energy to talk might lead to their death. The indigo Mist and purple Cloud flame filled the area like a terrible storm. And inside the storm, the two blood thirsty beasts were fight each other to tear apart the other's throat. Blood was dripping from each of their weapon and staining their cloths. However none of them care how much they were hurt. They were only interest at killing each other.
Hibari let out his box animal Roll, the cloud hedgehog to protect him from Mukuro's illusion and also attack Mukuro. Mukuro's current illusion was the most strongest and dangerous illusion Hibari had seen for the past 10 years. Mukuro didn't have a box animal like Chrome's Mukurou which could help strengthening the illusion. But the Fifth realm of hell and the two hell rings were enough to equally fight with the Vongola's strongest Guardian.
Hibari already got some wounds from Mukuro's illusion. If Mukuro was just an ordinarily illusionist, who could only use illusion in fighting, it would had been much easier for Hibari to fight him. However Mukuro was also a skillful combat fighter who understands how to fight with his weapon. Mukuro was a risky and dangerous opponent to fight.
'But I'll bit him to death.'
Hibari never once doubt he might lose to Mukuro. Yes, Mukuro was a strong opponent, but Hibari was confident of himself. The more he fight, the more Hibari was sure of his victory. He was stronger and faster than Mukuro. When they were teen, Mukuro was stronger than him. But now as an adult, Hibari was now stronger than Mukuro.
Hibari felt a satisfaction as Mukuro took a few step back as their weapon crashes each other. It was clear that Mukuro gotten tired of their fight and was starting to get weak. The illusion were still dangerous but was clearly weaker now. This wasn't one of Mukuro's trick to fool him. Maintaining the illusion while combat fighting need enormous concentration and flame. Mukuro finally reach his limits.
Hibari swing his tonfa hard and was able to fly Mukuro's trident away from his hands. Hibari didn't hide his satisfying grin. Finally this moment he waited for years had come! Mukuro was defenseless for a moment and Hibari didn't loss his chance. Hibari attack Mukuro with his tonfa which had powerful cloud flame, to finally end this fight as his victory.
Bang!
A loud explosion filled the area and dust surrounded him. Hibari was certain he made a perfect blow on Mukuro. He could feel it in its hands the moment he attack Mukuro. However Hibari's eyes widen a bit in amusement and surprise when the dust cleared. Mukuro was still standing. He was also grabbing Hibari's tonfa which had cloud flame.
Hibari couldn't understand. His Cloud flame aren't something a person could just grab. The flame could immediately give a major burn to the person and the Cloud flame on his tonfa was powerful enough to melt down normal metal. Heck, Hibari's attack was dangerous enough to kill the opponent on the spot. But Rokudo Mukuro just grabbed his tonfa which had his Cloud flame? It truly shock Hibari.
"What?!"
Hibari suddenly felt his flame being absorbed by Mukuro. He tried to pull away his tonfa but it felt like his body wasn't listening to him when his flame was being absorbed. Hibari could feel an enormous amount of flame in his body taken away. Hibari greeted his teeth. This was very bad. Hibari was sure he was prepared to fight Mukuro, but he never knew Mukuro had the ability to absorb the opponent flame. Did Mukuro learned this between his disappearances of 10 years? Hibari didn't have a clue but he knew this moment made a crucial change in their fight.
"Oya, oya, it seems like nothing will change like the fight 10 years ago."
Mukuro made a sadistic and cruel smile, mocking Hibari. It was the same smile and mock he did 10 years ago to Hibari. Mukuro could feel strength in his body again by absorbing Hibari's flame. The flame on the two Hell ring gotten bigger. Mukuro made a trident on his hand and immediately attack Hibari's neck.
Hibari was finally able to move as Mukuro attack him. He dodge Mukuro's attack and swing his tonfa toward Mukuro's face. However Hibari was weaken right now since Mukuro stolen his flame. His movement was a bit slow, but that was a major problem when you fight a powerful opponent like Rokudo Mukuro.
Mukuro grabbed Hibari's right arm and twisted. He also immediately smash Hibari's arm with his trident as hard as he could. A cracking sound was heard and Mukuro could feel it from his hands that he had just broken Hibari's right arm. Hibari didn't even let out a groan but it was clear in his face that he was feeling an enormous pain. Hibari tried to attack Mukuro with his left tonfa but Hibari was no longer a match to Mukuro with a broken arm.
Hibari fell to the ground after being badly beaten by Mukuro. Hibari tried to stand up with his broken pride but his body wasn't listening to him. Because of the beating, a few some of his bones got broken. Hibari clenched his fist very hard that it started to bleed. He waited 10 years to fight Mukuro again, but not to get insultingly beaten to him again!
Their eyes met for a moment and Hibari could see Mukuro lifting his trident. Hibari could know Mukuro was really about to kill him. Mukuro's eyes were those of the murder's eyes just like Mukuro once had 10 years ago when they first met. The cruel teen who didn't hesitate of killing. Hibari glared at Mukuro as he still didn't give up at trying to bite him to death. Hibari didn't flinched when Mukuro's trident quickly target his heart.
Bang!
"Rokudo Mukuro! You've gone too far!"
Tsuna suddenly appeared between them and grabbed Mukuro's trident which almost killed Hibari. Tsuna was in his hyper dying will mode and the other Guardians also all arrived surrounding them. Tsuna was currently furious. Mukuro really did tried to kill Hibari. It was something Tsuna could never accept!
"Mukuro back away!"
"Why should I listen to you Vongola?"
"If you don't want to fight every one of us than back away and lower your weapon!"
Mukuro looked around. Every Guardian had their weapons and box animal out. They were all prepared to fight if they have to. But…Mukuro didn't want to back away. Instead he actually didn't mind fighting all of them at once even if there was a low chance he could win them all. Mukuro wanted to kill Hibari whatever it takes. Tsuna noticed this and grabbed Mukuro's trident harder.
"Mukuro if you cross the line, then the Vongola Famiglia will now consider you as our enemy."
It was a serious threat and warning but Mukuro still didn't care. His rage toward Hibari was too strong right now. But Mukuro had to stop at Tsuna's next words.
"Also I will use every bit of power I have to stop you finding Chrome. I can't consider you are safe to Chrome."
How pathetic it is for the Vongola to threatening him with Chrome when they don't even have a clue where Chrome is. However it was only a matter of time for Vongola to finally find a clue where Chrome is and eventually find. The Vongola was the largest and strongest Famiglia which had the biggest information network around the world. Mukuro didn't want to make any more risk or obstacle of finding Chrome. Also Mukuro remembered the Vongola Famiglia was a place Chrome cared and thought of it as her home. He didn't want go against Chrome's precious place.
Mukuro finally lowered his weapon and walked away, leaving them. Ryohei rushed toward Hibari and used his Sun flame to heal him. It was only a first aid treatment since Hibari's wounds were too major. Although Hibari let out an angry and irritated groan toward the others, the other Guardians push him down to restrain his movement. They all knew Hibari would try to attack Mukuro again as soon as he was able to move.
Tsuna watched Mukuro's back. He tried to think Mukuro was still his comrade but…Tsuna wasn't sure anymore. Mukuro's recent behavior made Tsuna think twice. Mukuro didn't seemed to look concern about Chrome and instead he was only searching information about the Estraneo Famiglia. Now he almost killed Hibari. Tsuna was very disappointed at Mukuro. He thought Mukuro changed but maybe he was wrong the whole time. Because Mukuro's eyes and aura was the same as the past Mukuro he first met 10 years ago. The person who never thinks about others and a killer.
Mukuro fell into bed as soon as he came back to his room. Cold sweats were heavily dropping from his body. He overstrain himself while fighting Hibari. Mukuro's health wasn't fine for the past few days. The stress he was feeling was overwhelming to him and he hadn't almost eaten anything for the past few days because of the morning sickness. Mukuro was mentally and physically already weak before he fought Hibari. His health just gotten worse because he used the Fifth realm of hell which always exhausts his mind and body as the aftermath. Using the hell ring not one but two also made his mind exhausted.
Mukuro felt like he was going to faint anytime soon. He closed his eyes. He really needed to rest right now. As Mukuro started to fall asleep he didn't noticed the two hell rings suddenly let out their Mist flame. Hell rings give enormous power to the owner but the owner always have to be careful not to get his mind eaten to the cursed Hell rings.
A Hell ring should never be used when the owner's mind was weak.
Mukuro was feeling irritated as he found himself in the illusion world. He must had unconsciously came here again since he sometimes finds peace while being here. However Mukuro just wanted to rest and sleep without any dream or interaction with someone…especially with that little girl. Mukuro frowned as he easily found the little girl nearby the large tree. The little girl didn't seemed to notice him yet, so Mukuro quietly stare at the little girl for a moment.
He finally found out where Chrome is… So there wasn't a reason for him to let the little girl live anymore… However Mukuro couldn't deny the uncomfortable pain in his chest at the thought of killing her with his hands. Mukuro didn't fully open up to the little girl but he gotten attached to her. Mukuro let out a frustrated groan. He didn't want to face this decision what to do with her right now. He really just wanted to rest.
At Mukuro's groaning sound, the little girl noticed Mukuro's present. Mukuro was too much into his thoughts that he didn't noticed the little girl flinched nervously when she saw him. Mukuro also didn't realize the little girl didn't come near him like she would always do. She was hesitating to approach him as if she was unsure it was the right thing to do.
"…What am I supposed to do with you?"
Mukuro murmur frustrated to the little girl. Mukuro couldn't help but ask to himself. Why did he decided to give that little girl a little warmth in the first place? If he didn't make that foolish decision, he would had never let himself get attach to the little girl. Was it because he felt pity for the little girl? Was it because she loved him just because of who he was to her? Or was it because the simple fact that she looks so much like…
"Nagi…"
Chrome, Nagi was his light. The little girl's appearance looked almost just like Nagi when he first met her 10 years ago. The fact that she inherited some of Nagi's nature also made her resemble more with her mother. Like how she would easily blush in small things and how she would immediately be happy at some little warmth from him. Maybe he decided to give warmth to the little girl because he regrets how he didn't give more warmth to Nagi when they were young…
Mukuro suddenly noticed the little girl had carefully approach him. Mukuro looked at the little girl.
"What…?"
Mukuro froze as he met eyes with the little girl. A sudden realization suddenly struck him. The little girl was looking at him as if…he had just called her. A cold chill suddenly went through Mukuro's body. He must have mistaken it, didn't he? The little girl can't possibly think…
"…Nagi."
The little girl lift her face and nervously looked at Mukuro. It was clear she was responding to the word 'Nagi.' It wasn't a mistake. The little girl thinks…her name is Nagi.
Out of nowhere, Mukuro suddenly felt a boiling rage toward the little girl. She thinks she's Nagi?! He admits he sometimes sees Nagi from the little girl, but he never dares think she was actually Nagi. No one can ever replace his Nagi and yet how dare this girl think she's Nagi?! Mukuro could feel an overwhelming rage and hatred toward the scared little girl.
"You foolish and naïve girl!"
Mukuro let out an anger. The little girl flinched and took a few steps back in fear. She looked very frighten and scared at Mukuro's sudden outburst of rage. However Mukuro couldn't see the frighten girl since he was blinded with his rage and hatred toward her.
If this little girl didn't exist in the first place, then none of this would have ever happened. He wouldn't have to be worry sick at the fact that his Chrome might suddenly die because of this child! He wouldn't had fought with Chrome in the first place! He never wanted to be a father or even have his own blood related child! He didn't like to give his flame to the child and every time get his life in danger because of it!
"I've never wanted you in the first place!"
Why was he even hesitating to kill her? He has no use of her anymore. He found out where Chrome is now. Since when did he ever hesitate at killing someone? Mukuro let the rage and hatred took over him. He suddenly grabbed the little girl's throat with his hands and roughly knock her down to the ground. Mukuro started to choke her. The little girl struggle in terror and tried to move his hands away from her neck but her little hands couldn't stop him.
Rokudo Mukuro was trying to kill his daughter again.
