Tikki rushed away with the earrings. She bumped into a body, flying backward a bit. She blinked, looking up. Alan was staring down at the small kwami.
"Alan! I need your help! I'm Ladybeetle's kwami and he's incapacitated. Please use this miraculous and defeat the villain." Tikki handed him the earrings and he stared at them in his palm.
"I don't know if I can do this alone," he gulped, putting them on his ears. He had only left for a quick minute to go to the bathroom. How did things end up like this?
"Don't worry, you won't be."
Plagg rushed back to the classroom, opening Marin's bag. The miracle box was still there. He pulled out a miraculous secretly, as the class was still going on.
"Psst," he whispered up from under the desk. Nina looked around, before looking down at her lap. She gasped as the cat kwami smiled up at her awkwardly.
"Nina? Are you alright?" The teacher asked.
"O-oh yes, I just… need to go to the bathroom!" She rushed out, pushing the small kwami into her pocket. She rushed into the bathroom, pushing open all the stall doors, checking for occupants. She sat on the toilet, with a sigh.
"W-what is going on?!"
"I'm Chat Noir's kwami, we don't usually do this but we got into some trouble, take this miraculous, Beetleboy needs your help!"
She held the miraculous in her hand. Nodding, as she put it on.
Alan transformed in a storage closet, the suit was mostly black with sleeves and boots of polka dots. He pushed open the door, rushing out of the school.
"C-chat?" Beetleboy watched as the white-clad villain rushed away with the unconscious Amber in his arms. He moved off before Beetleboy could get a good look at him.
"Beetleboy?" A voice sounded behind him. He turned, surprised at the sight. His usual miraculous was dawned by a girl. The fox-like ears were so familiar.
"Uh yeah that's me, everything sure is a mess right? I think the villain is Marin Dupain-Cheng, he was carrying Amber… his crush." He felt bad revealing that personal information to someone who might not know him but it was pertinent.
"He's got the cat miraculous so we need to move quickly!" Beetleboy dashed off, using the yo-yo to follow after the villain. Fennix, as Nina had named herself, followed after him.
"He went over this way!" Fennix saw a white body dart behind a building.
Beetleboy followed, nodding to his partner as they separated. He landed behind the cat villain, blocking the exit.
Mr. Blanc set Amber down gently, as she was still fast asleep. "Marin is that you?" Beetleboy tried to reach out to the akumatized villain.
Mr. Blanc hissed, shielding Amber's body with his own.
"Don't come any closer!" He growled out.
"I understand you're upset but this isn't the way to go about it!" He tried to speak to his friend but he was too far gone. Mr. Blanc lashed out at the hero with his claws, sharer than even Chatte Noir's.
While he was distracted Fennix came behind them and attempted to take Amber to a safer place.
Mr. Blanc noticed and threw a cataclysm in their direction. "Don't touch her!" It went between them, hitting a dumpster, turning it to ash. "I'm just trying to protect her and you both are getting in my way! You're the real villains here!" He charged toward Fennix.
"If you want us to be the villain's fine we will be," Fennix took Amber by the neck, holding her hostage. Mr. Blanc stopped in his tracks.
"No!" Mr. Blanc panicked. He had only wanted to protect her and he failed even with that. Amber's scared look stirred something in his heart. "Please what do you want me to do?"
"Give us the miraculous and we'll hand her over," Beetleboy said, going along with it. He walked around the villain, stepping closer to his partner.
He looked conflicted, looking between the ring and Amber. "Please Marin…" she said helplessly, tears in her eyes. He sighed, pulling the ring off, tossing it to Beetleboy.
He caught it, crushing it beneath his foot. The akuma fluttered out as Fennix released Amber. She ran into Mr. Blanc's arms as he held her close. She began to vanish in his arms.
"W-what's going on?!" he grasped at her as she whispered away. Beetleboy cleansed the akuma and his powers vanished as he lay knelt on the floor.
Amber came out from behind a dumpster, crouching in front of him. She cupped his face. "Hey, hey I'm okay! It was all part of their plan," he hugged her tightly, letting out a sigh of relief.
Both Beetleboy and Fennix's miraculouses beeped. They looked at each other and vanished.
Tikki took the earrings from Alan as he detransformed and gathered the ring as well. She flew off, meeting up with cheese breath who carried the fox miraculous.
"Good work today sugar cube," she rolled her eyes at the nickname.
"Plagg I missed you!" Amber slipped the ring back on, with a sigh of relief.
'Who wouldn-" Plagg started before Amber's phone rang with a new text message alert.
"I hope you're feeling better and sorry about today, love Marin," Amber smiled, heat flooding her cheeks. She laid a cold hand on her cheek. When did this happen?
