Marie shot up at once, and rushed to wake up everyone. Everyone got up and readied for battle, but when they got outside, the dark duo was gone. They saw footprints that led to the window, of which was broken. Now they were stuck with the villains in their castle, and they had to look for them before doing serious damage. They all traveled to the center of the castle to come up with a plan. "So, what's the game plan?" Copper asked Marie. "Wait, aren't you the leader here? You and Agate are two of the Seven Great Wizards!" "No, you are. After all, you are the Angel of the prophecy. Don't act all shocked, the walls aren't that thick." He added, seeing Marie's flabbergasted look. She remebered about Player, and excused herself. She reached into her pouch and grabbed the communicator, and pulled it out. She presses a series of buttons, and next thing she knows, it's calling Player. After a few rings, the device made a beep, and lo, she saw Player's face. "H-Hello?" She spoke, unknowing if they would answer. "Marie?" Player's voice rung from the device, which startled Marie. "Player! You're here!" "Not here, but this just transmitts my voice from where I am to you. But anyways, what's happening?" "Player, you remember Darien and Indigo?" "Yeah?" "Well, we beat them. They are good now. But anyways, we got a situation. A new enemy showed up, her name is Yukina, and another one. They invaded Copper and Agate's castle!" "They what?" "Yeah, there's a thunderstorm, and I don't think we can find them ourselves." "Okay...I...soon..." The device started to glitch and make noises. "Player? Are you there?" "Too...interference...can't..." After a few words, the communicator shut off. Marie sighed frustratedly, and put the device up. "Okay guys, I need your help." Marie said, and not even a full minute passed until she saw ghostly people appear. Now, there were a few new people she didn't know. "Oh! Sorry, I don't think we've met!" The other goat child said. "My name is Ralsei!" "Kris." Said a teen next to Ralsei. "Susie." A purple girl said. "Lancer!" A young monster said. "JEVIL'S MY NAME, AND CHAOS IS MY GAME, GAME!" A devilish looking jester said. "Mine nameth beith Roulx Kaard." Said a regal looking man with long hair. "They're from Deltarune." Sans added, of which filled Marie with extreme confusion. "Eh, don't worry 'bout it." Marie decided not to question it. Several more people showed up, all of which Marie knew. Ink, Error, Dream, Blue, Cross, Nightmare, DreamSwap! Nightmare, the list went on. After counting up her numbers, she returned to the group, and they all split up in groups. Marie, Sans, and Ink went into the west wing, and the rest dispersed all over. Exploring the place where she could barely see, she felt along the wall to hopefully not fall. As the trio made their way on, a large lightning bolt crashed outside, blinding her when it left. Frantically feeling around for something solid, Sans made a suggestion. "Hey kid, I have an idea." "What's that?" "1, maybe not cling onto me," He said, with her having a death grip on his body. "2, maybe you could either generate some light, or shapeshift into something that can see." "SHAPESHIFT!?" She exclaimed at Sans, who was still smiling as if he hadn't said anything. "Reach into your SOUL, and find the power within. You are the Angel, after all." He finished, and Marie wanted to try this. Following his advice, she reached into the depths of her SOUL, leaving it exposed, and her entire body was glowing with a bright white light. The form of her body, a mere silhouette of light, shifted. As her body shifted, it was no longer of a human, but now, the light faded, and revealed a grayish silver wolf in its place. Marie opened her eyes, of which were now the same yellow golden that appeared when she used her powers, and was able to look around. She looked at her furry paws, and freaked out. Letting out a yipe as she backed into the wall, she ran. Hearing Sans and Ink call after her, she couldn't stop. A new instinct rushed into her, urging her to run, and to not stop running. And so, she followed it. That is, until she ran smack into Sans again. "Woah there, pup," He said in his usual voice, but with a note of concern. Ink caught up to Marie and yelled, "How are you so fast?!" This caught Marie off guard, and threw herself into Ink, making him fall onto the carpeted ground. She pinned him down, growling, and Sans put his hand on her shoulder. He gave it a slight pet, and she released Ink. She heard running, and saw Howlingtale Frisk make her way to Marie. "Marie! Wait!" Frisk's wolf ears were high up, and her tail was quivering nervously. "You need to calm down. I know how scary it is to wake up as something else." She said, gesturing to her own ears and tail. Marie stood up on all fours, and looked at Frisk. She tried to speak, but it was all but barks and growls. Marie sighed, then tried to shift back. But the form refused. She couldn't change back. "Woah, what's the hold up?" Sans asked, his grin fading a little. She shook her head, unable to communicate. Frisk understood, and said, "She can't transform back. You guys might need me, since I am pretty much the only one who can understand her." "What do you mean, 'can't transform back'?" Ink asked. "As in, she's stuck in this form." Frisk explained. All of a sudden, Marie's new ears picked up something she wouldn't normally. Whispering, coming from the ceiling. She looked up along with Frisk, who could hear it too, and saw Yukina with the figure. Yukina gave a look of hatred, and leaped into battle. Now, a new music was playing for Sans, Frisk, and Marie. Ink ran to get help, and the three was left to battle the evil duo. Marie rushed forward and caught her claws on the dark figure, and a cloak came away from them. She saw someone she never thought see would ever see again. PLAYER. She saw this, and clawed and bit down as hard as she could, tasting the blood. PLAYER was fighting to knock the silver streaked wolf off, but it was fruitless. After a bit, PLAYER'S struggles faded, and their body faded away. Sans looked at Marie's eyes. They were burning with fury. This time around, PLAYER hadn't killed anyone yet, so no LV increase. But that didn't change that they were planning to. Sans did a look she couldn't quite read, but it changed to shock as Yukina grabbed Marie by the muzzle. She managed to throw her off, and give her a good bite to think about. She was snarling threateningly, and Yukina gave her a look filled with anger. Yukina snapped her fingers, and dissapeared. Now, Marie was left with everyone, who was brainstorming about how Marie could change back. In the middle of it, Marie managed to expose her SOUL, and shine with the light again. She reverted to her original form with ease, and everyone celebrated the victory. "Guess you were too stressed out for it to work." Sans guessed. "I'm just glad it's over." Marie sighed. After that long day, everyone was glad to just get to sleep.
