I Didn't Have A Choice-Ch 28
The newlyweds walked over to the other side of the yard for their reception with their fingers intertwined, Derek brought her hand up to his lips and gently kissed it and said, "is this really happening, are you really my wife"?, she kissed his lips passionately and said, "this is really happening, I'm yours and you are mine, allllll mine" as she rested her forehead against his.
Fran smiled and said, "it's time for our newlyweds to enjoy their first dance together as husband and wife", everybody clapped their hands as he pulled her into his arms. Penelope was all smiles as the music and words to Here and Now filled the air, she looked at her husband and said, "you remembered"?, he winked at her and said, "of course I did" as they started dancing their way across the yard.
It was only a matter of a few seconds before the dancefloor filled with happy, laughing couples, everybody was dancing and enjoying the music as they helped the newlyweds celebrate. As Derek held her close he said, "how often do I tell you I love you"?, she said, "everyday it's implied" and then claimed his lips with hers.
Shane looked over his shoulder and smiled. his attention then turned back to his date, a nice woman named Shelia that Jessica had introduced him too. They both seemed quite smitten with each other as they danced their way across the yard, Penelope laughed and Derek said, "what are you laughing at woman"?, she said, "awwww hotstuff, I'm so happy and everybody else is too, even Shane is dancing".
Derek looked over his shoulder and said, "awwww yeah he's here with Sheila", Penelope said, "how do you know her, waittttt, should I be jealous"?, Derek kissed her hard and fast and said, "my heart and body belong to one woman and that woman is you sweetness. you" and she smiled and said, "awwww you say the sweetest things angel fish" as she laid her head down on his chest and closed her eyes.
As the reception continued Fran said, "alright everybody please eat, drink and help us celebrate the wedding of my baby boy to his baby girl" and everybody clapped as they headed over to the food covered tables. Derek and Penelope filled their plates and headed over to a table, they sat down and Derek said, "you look so beautiful baby girl".
Penelope said, "I'm glad that you like the dress", he leaned in and whispered, "it looks good on you but I can't wait to see how it looks puddled at your feet later tonight". She playfully swatted his chest and said, "what am I going to do with you"?, he kissed the side of her neck and said, "the better question is what am I going to do to you later baby girl".
She giggled and said, "you, my chocolate kiss can do anything you want to me", he wiggled his eyebrows and said, "I soooo love the way you think goddess" as he claimed her lips with his. They pulled apart to the sound of Reid clanking the side of his glass with a fork.
Everybody looked at him and he said, "I'm not good at speeches but being the best man I want to say a few things about Derek and Penelope", Derek and Penelope intertwined fingers and smiled at the blushing younger man. Reid said, "Derek and Penelope have been like a brother and sister to me practically since the day I met them, they are an amazing couple and I wish them nothing but peace, joy and happiness in their lives together".
Penelope smiled and said, "we love you boy wonder", he chuckled and said, "I love you both too Garcia", he then looked at his family and friends and said, "to the newlyweds, to Derek and Penelope, the best is yet to come". Dave said, "here, here" and everybody raised their glasses and said, "to Derek and Penelope".
The celebration was still going on several hours later and Derek was leaning in and kissing the side of his brides neck, she giggled and said, "their are children present hotstuff". He said, "when can we get out of here, wait, where are we going, are we staying here tonight or what"?, she opened her mouth to speak and Fran said, "first cut the cake and then you'll find out what you two are doing tonight".
Derek smiled as they both put their hand on the knife and slid it down through the beautiful cake, Penelope put a piece out into a saucer, she took a bite and he took a bite. Reid leaned in and whispered, "I bet they will be wearing that cake", JJ laughed and said, "I bet your right" and sure enough seconds later cake was smeared all over both of their faces.
Penelope wiped the icing off of his nose and said, "now you really are my cake covered hotstuff", he kissed her lips and said, "and you are my chocolately goodness babygirl". A few minutes alter after everybody had enjoyed a piece of the delicious cake Jessica and Sean walked over to the happy couple.
Jessica handed Derek a set of keys and said, "these are the keys to our cabin, it's about 20 minutes out of town, just go to the end of the street at the diner and make a right, stay on that road and then turn left at Millers Crossing and our cabin is about 2 miles up that road, you can't miss it".
Sean said, "their is a beautiful stream out there, but I'd say that the two of you won't leave the cabin after you get there", Derek winked at Penelope and then looked at Sean and said, "I bet you're right". Jessica said, "the fridge is fully stocked and we took some clothes there for you earlier, so you're all set".
Penelope and Derek hugged them and Penelope said, "thank you so much", Sean said, "go and enjoy your first night together as husband and wife, it's been a long time coming". Derek sighed and said, "that it has Sean, that it has, Penelope felt a tapping on her shoulder, she turned to see Shane standing there.
He hugged her and said, "congratulations Penelope, you look so happy", she said, "I've never been happier in my life", Shane glanced over his shoulder at Sheila and said, "never have I". Derek intertwined fingers with his new bride and said, "our honeymoon awaits malady".
They quickly hugged everybody and made their way toward the waiting SUV, their family ran after them tossing birdseed at the laughing couple, they climbed into the SUV and pulled away from the curb. Penelope and Derek continued waving until they disappeared out of sight.
She then slid closer to him and laid her head down on his shoulder, she said, "I love you Mr. Morgan", he kissed her lips and said, "I love you Mrs. Morgan, now and forever". She laid her head down on his shoulder and said, "now and forever" as they continued toward Millers Crossing and their honeymoon cabin.
