Dangerous Liaisons
Chapter 28th
"Agent Gibbs, I will need to check your back for any other injuries. Didn't you say that the shooter knocked you to the ground during the fight?" Doc had to asked with being worried for his patient.
"He did really hard Doc. But I don't feel any pain in in back never the less." He said with Loreile giving him a look. "What Loreile?" Doctor Talf helped him up with removing his shirt and white under shirt to check his entire back and lower area. He begin to examine his back carefully in order not to hurt him further using gloves and not seeing any type of wounds.
After a few moments he helped him to lay back down to relax while everyone was talking all at one. "Gibbs do you remember anything else that the shooter might of said to you?" Mcgee asked with moving closer to the couch while the Doctor Talf went to take out a syringe filled with pain medication.
"Yeah Tim, he said something about The Calling to continue on with there killing and including myself and others. I have a feeling Crawford knows something about it. I suggest you get that bastard into interrogation again and ask him. However you will need permission from Vance and the new warden of the Louisville, Kentucky prison."
"Do you really think he will tell us Gibbs? And besides I am not you for when it comes to working suspects in the Interrogation room over the years." Mcgee was cutting himself short for when it comes to his own abilities as an agent. There were a few times over the years for when he really fucked up especially when he was a probie.
"He will if it's done right Tim, and please don't put yourself down. I have relied on you over the years with helping me close cases for NCIS." Gibbs says with moving up with Loreile helping him to sit and continue talking. "However I can always help you with being there for morale support."
"Sounds good for me. But I do think it's best that you rest a few days before we get you into the interrogation room. Don't you think Doc?"
"Damn straight agent Mcgee! My patient has been through a great deal the past few days with his body needing to recover from the shock and beating. I will need for everyone to leave now, all accept Lt. Baskins to help keep an eye out on Gibbs for the next few days until you get confirmation from Vance and the warden." Doc says with injecting the syringe filled with pain medication into his vein.
"Alright we will leave Agent Gibbs alone while I speak with the Alexandra police to send them a full report when I get back to the Naval yards." Mcgee says to the group.

Naval Yards Autopsy bay
Palmer had to request an additional assistant to help him out with all of the bodies now laying in the coolers. The latest one once again shot by Lt. Baskins a crack shot that's for sure. He decided to start with that body now laying on the table, while his assistant Jeremy a younger student using this time to acquire the training before going back to college.
Jimmy Palmer was tired having to be missing his wife and Victoria. They have been spending some time in Cape Cod with another week to go before coming home. He's been staying in contact with them via the computer and text messaging.
Hearing the double doors opening. His assistant was ready to help with the autopsy since everyone was on his back for results. Though they knew who had shot him in the first place.
"I am ready Jeremy, let's begin." He said calmly.

Loreile was watching Gibbs sleep on the couch under the blankets keeping him warm. She was trying to rest in the chair near the fireplace that was dwindling down for the most part. She was thinking about her decision to leave the safehouse to go after those trying to kill the man on the couch.
He was relaxed after Doctor Taft had given him a powerful sleeping potion. Hopefully it will keep him asleep for awhile. However that wasn't the case when he opened his pain filled eyes to see Loreile watching him from the chair trying to rest herself.
"What's wrong Loreile?" He said softly in his voice struggling with removing some of the blankets from his body.
"Why is there anything wrong Jethro? My mind is restless and I am having a hard time trying to call asleep after all that has happened lately. Besides I would of though that pain killer that Doc had given you would of knocked you out for hours. Do you need any water or something?"
"No water. Only you to be sleeping with me on the couch to keep me company. I know that I am asking a great deal of you, Loreile." He stated with a slight smirk on his face even though he was still in slight pain.
"I don't think it's wise for me to do so in what might happen between us and in your condition. I highly doubt it that you're able to move at all with the beating you took." She said with moving up from the chair to get herself a glass of water all of a sudden she was feeling heated with the man on the couch.
"Try me Loreile." He exclaimed with a smile even though he knew his limitations at the moment.
"I will need to give you a rain check for now until after you're stronger with your body and most of all your mind."
"What is that supposed to mean Loreile?" He was somewhat confused in what she was trying to say in the first place. "Are you still upset at me in the comments I said earlier about being one of them trying to kill me as well?" He quipped with his words trying to move slightly from the couch and with his legs not wanting to be cooperative.
"I am over it Gibbs, I have orders from Doctor Taft to make sure that you relax on the couch to let your body recover from the beating your taken lately, and I will follow his orders to the letter no matter what you say to me at this time. Now I suggest you try getting back to sleep since I will be doing the same in the chair."
