The hours had elapsed, and it was now 8:53 PM. Vic watched as Lance was passed out onto the sofa trying to sleep off his stupidity. He was barely conscious. There was a Sprunk bottle sitting on the table next to the sofa.

"Oh, man, what month is it?" Lance moaned showing no memory of what he just did a few hours ago. "Did I do anything stupid in the last few days?"

"Stupid?" Vic replied. "Oh, no, no, no, you passed stupid and kept on going, straight on into fucked up!"

Just then, the phone on the table on the other side of the sofa began to ring. Vic walked up to the table to pick it up.

"Lance?" he heard Louise answer through the phone. "It's Louise. Where's Vic? I need him."

"It's me, Louise," Vic answered back. "What is it?"

"Vic?" Louise cried out in amazement. "Oh, thank God. It's that Martinez. He must think we're still an item."

"Yeah?" Vic replied still too upset with Louise's sudden addiction to consider her his woman again. "Well, we're not... not anymore!"

"For crying out loud, Vic!" Louise protested getting Vic's implication. "I didn't sleep with Lance; we're just friends, which is more than you've been lately. You never call, we never see each other too often anymore... "

"Is this going somewhere?" Vic asked.

"I just wanted you to know that Martinez's thugs have been following me," Louise replied. "And because I want to get back together, I'm trying to avoid being killed. And now I'm hiding out round the back of some stupid burger bar, not that you'd give a shit."

"What?!" Vic asked. "Martinez sent guys after you?!"

Vic didn't get a chance to answer. Before Louise had a chance to say a single word, the phone interrupted her sentence and hung up.

"Wait, wait, wait, Louise... Louise!" Vic called frantically.

But it was too late. The phone had already hung up.

Vic groaned loudly. There was no telling what Louise was going to get herself into at the moment. Vic then turned to Lance.

"Lance, you wanna help me out?" he asked his brother.

But Lance was already fast asleep and snoring his head off. Vic sighed hopelessly. He knew he should've known better than to ask his useless brother for assistance.

"Forget it," Vic muttered.

While Lance dozed off in his living room, Vic walked outside and hopped onto his bike. The sun was slowly setting, and the reddish-pink evening sky displayed vivid colors that saturated the whole city and glowed through it.

Vic then heard his pager beep and pulled it out to read the message. It was from Martinez.

"Hey, Vic," the message read. "I'm back in town. How's that Lady of yours? Think I might pay her a visit... "

"Fuck!" Vic growled banging on the steering wheel.

So Vic rode as fast as he could to the western island. He had to protect Louise before she got hurt. The fact that this was happening during an evening was what really exacerbated Vic's premonition.

Vic took the bridge heading to Viceport and made a right turn on the long road. He drove straight down as fast as he could until he made a left turn on Little Haiti.

There, he rode around the city in search of the King Knuts restaurant and parked in front of the building. Vic hopped off his vehicle and searched around the side. He felt his heart pumping hard.

"Louise?!" Vic called searching around. "Hey, Louise?! Are you there?!

Louise was then seen kidnapped in a car with three Sentinels and Martinez's goons.

"Vic!" Louise cried out from inside the car. "Heeelp!"

"Shit!" Vic cried out. "Louise!"

He was too late. Louise was already capture, and the vehicles had driven too far for him to catch up to them.

"Is that your bitch?" he then heard someone ask him from behind.

Vic turned to see more goons armed with baseball bats. "She's Martinez's now," one of them declared smugly. "And you're gonna be ours."

The three goons ganged up on Vic, swinging their bats at them. Vic, however, dodged their blows and ran to his bike. He had no time to worry about the goons. He had to save Louise before God knows what Martinez was going to do with her.

He rode through the streets of Little Haiti and took a right turn around the restaurant. He rode straight down the road and made a left turn on the long road leading to Downtown. The streetlights were already turned on, and the cars' headlights were flashing around the street as they drove.

Vic finally made it through Downtown and made a left turn, frantically searching through the alleyways for Louise.

He searched through the first alleyway, while shooting down the goons firing at him to penetrate through the path. By the time Vic reached the vehicle at the end, he saw Louise wasn't there.

So he rode out of the alleyway and searched through the second alleyway. What he didn't know is that Martinez had locked himself up inside the Sentinel XS with Louise raping her, with Louise screaming in agony.

"Let me go, you corrupt bastard!" Louise screamed struggling to shake out of Martinez's grip.

But Martinez held her legs tightly and spread them wide. "What's the matter, baby?" he chuckled wearing a wide grin on his face. "You said you and Vic weren't an item. So I thought I'd give you something to take your mind off of things. Mary enjoyed it." He started "doing the deed" on Louise as the helpless woman started writhing in agony.

"I will never be your personal whore, asshole!" Louise shrieked angrily.

"Asshole?!" Martinez asked as he wiped the grin off his face. "Oh ho, now you've REALLY pushed me!"

When Vic saw the Sentinel XS very far away, he could hear the beatings Louise was taking inside the vehicle. Martinez was savagely beating the blood out of Louise inside, and Louise was screaming in agony.

"LOUISE!" Vic shouted.

He was angry and horrified at the same time. Louise was getting beaten up, and Martinez was enjoying every moment of it.

Vic then used the bike to ride to the Sentinel XS, flashing the headlight straight to the vehicle. By the time he finally arrived to the vehicle, he saw that Martinez had already left. He, however left a note on the car, and Vic took it off to read it.

Dear Vic,

Your bitch was a pleasure to work with. I fucked her pussy real good, and she enjoyed getting slapped around like the whore she is. Have fun with her

Sincerely, Jerry

Vic growled as he balled the paper in his right hand furiously. He looked inside the vehicle to find Louise! She was lying unconscious on the passenger's seat. Blood was falling down her nose and lip. Cuts and bruises were on her legs and face. Her right eye was dark purple and nearly shut. Her yellow panties were around her left ankle. Martinez had raped and beaten her nearly to death.

"Louise!" Vic cried out in shock.

She just moaned silently, and Vic pushed the seat she was lying on back to rest her unconscious head back on the head rest of the seat.

"Louise," Vic told her in a conciliatory tone of voice. "Hey, everything's gonna be OK."

Louise slowly opened her eyes and saw Vic staring down at her. "Vic... " she answered silently. "I knew you'd come. I think I need a doctor."

"Don't worry, Louise," Vic told her softly. "I'm gonna get you one right now."

So Vic hopped inside the driver's seat of the vehicle and drove off onto the road. He had to get Louise to the hospital quickly before any more of Martinez's goons came chasing after him.

Vic checked his mirrors to make sure no one was following him and sped as fast as he could. Not only did he wanted to be followed, he wanted to make sure Louise made it to the hospital in one piece.

He parked right in front of the Schuman Health Care Center, where a number of doctors were hanging out at front.

"I need some help over here!" Vic shouted to the doctors. "Come on, get a doctor!"

So the doctors hauled Louise out of the vehicle and lay her on a stretcher, her panties still around her left ankle. She was then wheeled into the building, and Vic sighed in relief as he watched.

He had saved Louise from her death and got her safe and sound. He was still angered at Martinez for what he had did to her though, but decided to deal with him later. He drove away and decided to head back to his apartment to get some shut-eye.
