Chapter 27: Goku Awakens

The first thing Frieza did was scan his eyes over all of the fighters standing before him.

And who did his eyes land on?

Dende.

Frieza pointed his finger at Dende, and before anyone could try to push the Namekian out of the way, Frieza shot a blast of energy from his finger, engulfing the Namekian child, and leaving him on the ground, dead.

Chi Cha ran to her friend, sobbing at the loss of her friend.

Chi Cha, "Dende! Dende! Please get up! You can't leave us! You…. You can't leave me!"

Gohan could barely hold his own tears as he saw his best friend clutching the lifeless body of their new one.

Frieza, "oh, I'm sorry, did I kill your little friend? Don't worry. You'll be joining him in a few minutes."

Chi Cha suddenly stopped sobbing. She turned her head towards Frieza, glaring at the tyrant through bloodshot eyes, and a tear streaked face. She yelled like a damned Hell-Hound straight from the underworld as she lunged forward, trying to strike the man who had killed her friend.

Krillin, Piccolo and Gohan ran forward to help Chi Cha to try and attack Frieza.

Frieza dodged each attack faster than the eye could blink, toying with our four heroes as they tried to get even a single hit on the tyrant.

Vegeta had gone down to his knees. For once, he was speechless, being frozen stiff. Raditz and Gine ran towards him, trying to get his attention.

Raditz, "hey! Vegeta! I know you're not the friendliest, but could you snap the Hell out of it and help us fight?!"

Vegeta, "h-how is he so strong!?"

Gine, "what?"

Vegeta, "how is he so strong?! I've been training my whole life to become strong enough to kill this bastard. What reason do I have to fight?!"

Raditz, "... justice. Justice for what this bastard did to our planet. Our entire race. Let's kill this damned tyrant!"

Vegeta, "... never once would I think I'd be fighting with you like this."

Raditz, "me neither."

Raditz quickly helped Vegeta to his feet, and they both lunged forward, ready to help the others fight.

Frieza was put on the defensive a little more, but was still effortlessly avoiding the strikes. Although, he was quite surprised that the one giving the most fight the whole time was Chi Cha!

Even Yamcha and Chi Chi, who were staying on the sidelines with Bulma, were surprised by Chi Cha's ferocity during the fight. She was like a wild animal, viciously trying to strike Frieza. After several minutes of fighting, Frieza knocked Chi Cha into a rock, knocking her out. Her parents quickly ran to her to check if she was okay. Next was Gohan and Raditz, who were both hit by a kick as Frieza launched them towards Gine and Bulma. Gone caught her grandson, and helped him on his feet, while Bulma's suit allowed her to stop Raditz from landing on her, and helping him up.

And finally was Piccolo, who was met with a tail strike that sent him flying into the air, and then making him land in between the latter four of the group.

The only one left to combat Frieza was Vegeta. Vegeta was now on the receiving end of Frieza's onslaught, trying desperately to block each strike from the space emperor.

The fight got more and more brutal as it went on and on. Frieza had a manger to feign an attack, allowing him to start rapidly punching Vegeta everywhere. He quickly turned and kicked Vegeta into the one of the craters from earlier. Frieza jumped down, and began strangling Vegeta with his tail.

Vegeta struggled to say, "no Frieza, yamate!"

Frieza didn't listen, and flung Vegeta back out of the crater, flew into he air, and kicked him to the ground. Vegeta lay on the ground, bloodied and bruised.

Frieza floated back down to Vegeta and said, "it looks like you're going to be the next victim of my wrath Vegeta. Say hi to the others for me."

Frieza lifted his foot up to crush Vegeta's head underneath it; and suddenly….

….

Moments earlier.

Goku was in the pod; sensing just how bad it was going for his friends and family. And then, as if luck began to shine for our heroes, the pod started beeping, and Goku instantly felt at one hundred percent.

He crashed through the pod, and instantly ran as fat as he could through the ship, exiting it as fast as he could and flew into the air, racing towards his friends.

….

"HEY!"

Frieza, and everyone around him turned to see Goku standing there.

Our Heroes hearts all slipped a beat. Not just because Goku was there to help them, but also because of how strong he felt. He felt on par with Frieza, though only by a little.

Frieza, "who's this clown?"

Goku, "are you Freezer?"

Frieza, "I'm Lord Frieza, yes?"

Goku, "good. I'm gonna deck you in the face."

Frieza stepped away from vegeta, looking confused as Hell.

Frieza, "um, I'm sorry, that's a new one. Uh, who the flying Ritalin are you?"

Goku, "I am Goku. I am a Saiyan from Planet Earth. And I'm here to stop you."

Frieza, "oh, are you now?"

And that's when everyone heard Vegeta snickering."

Frieza, "and what the Hell is so funny?"

Vegeta, "y'know, I may be arrogant as Hell; calling myself the Legendary Super Saiyan all the time. But, Kakkorot there…. He's not the average Saiyan warrior you're dealing with."

Frieza, "oh, c'mon, you're telling me that HE'S the damned Super Saiyan you're always talking about?"

Vegeta, "yes."

Frieza instantly blasted a small hole through Vegeta's chest.

Goku, "Vegeta!"

Frieza took a few steps back and said, "I'll give you. Moment to talk to the dying monkey."

Goku kneeled down next to Vegeta.

Goku, "Vegeta…."

Vegeta, "l-listen to me Kakkorot. Frieza…. He, he was t-the one r-responsible for our r-races near extinction."

The group could actually see tears beginning to form in Vegeta's eyes.

Vegeta, "sniff, t-they're all gone! Sniff, he needs to p-pay, sniff, for what he's d-done. Sniff, p-please, promise me you'll s-stop him. F-for me?!"

Goku, "I…. I promise."

Vegeta grew a bittersweet smile as the last of his life left him, leaving the Saiyan laying on the ground, dead.

The Prince of the Saiyans.

Vegeta.

Was dead.

Goku carefully propped Vegeta against the wall of the plateau, and then proceeded to do so with Dende, much to Chi Cha's gratitude, as she had managed to come to during this.

Frieza waited patiently. He could handle letting his prey have one last moment with one another.

Goku walked over to his friends.

He whispered to Raditz and Piccolo, "stay close but hidden when we begin fighting."

Raditz, "right."

Piccolo, "we got it."

Goku, "heh, good to see you back Piccolo."

Piccolo, "yep. Those Namekian Dragon Balls did the trick."

Goku turned to Bulma and Gohan. He gave his wife a loving kiss, and then hugged Gohan. He addressed everyone.

Goku, "everyone else, I want you to keep your distance. This fight is going to get heated."

Chi Chi, "right."

Yamcha, "you got it Goku."

Chi Cha, "make him pay for Dende and Vegeta."

Goku, "you have my word."

The last person Goku addressed was Gine.

She was looking at him in utter awe.

Goku seemed to know who she was, and how she had been there when he was in the medical pod.

Goku, "so…. You're my mom?"

Gine, "y-yes. And you're…. G-Goku, right?"

Goku, "you can call me whatever you'd like. I'd love to spend some time with you in the future."

Gine lunged at Goku and hugged him tightly, silently sobbing into her son's chest.

Goku hugged her back just as tightly. Eventually, they separated.

Gine, "you look just like your father."

Goku, "I've been told."

Gine, "kick this asshole straight to Hell."

Goku, "I'll do my best."

They shared a small chuckle as Goku stepped back from everyone, and turned to Frieza. Everyone flew off a great distance away.

Piccolo and Raditz had separated from the group, with Krillin, Gohan and Chi Cha deciding to tag along, leaving Bulma, Yamcha and Chi Chi to stay behind.

Goku and Frieza glared at one another.

The ultimate battle for Planet Namek was about to begin.

….

Meanwhile, on Earth, our allies on the planet met up on the Lookout with Mr. PoPo, Korrin and Kami. They had sent for them, and with help from Mr. PoPo's magic carpet, we saw the group together. Tien, Chaotzu and Launch, Maron, Tights, Roshi, Oolong, Bora, Upa and Puar. Even Nam and Eighter had shown up.

Kami, "you are all probably wondering why I have called you all here?"

Tien, "very much. It's good to see you alive Kami, but what's going on?"

Korrin, "Goku and the others are in danger."

Everyone, "what?!"

Korrin, "with help from King Kai and Fortune Teller Baba, we know that Goku is about to enter a very dangerous fight, and that soon, Planet Namek itself will be in danger of being destroyed!"

Launch, "then what do we do?"

Maron, "Raditz and the others are all there!"

Bora, "we need to save our friends! The6ve already gone through so much to bring us back!"

Kami, "we figured you would want to be here when we do our plan."

Upa, "you have a plan?"

Roshi, "what plan?"

Mr. PoPo, "we will use the Dragon Balls to resurrect everyone killed on Planet Namek by Frieza, his men, and Vegeta. This would include the the Dragon Balls on Namek as a result. We'll have to move quickly, and ask a Namekian there to wish everyone but Goku and Frieza off of Namek."

Tights, "why only those two?!"

Kami, "Baba told us of a prediction. Goku will go through some form of mysterious transformation that will allow him to defeat Frieza."

Tien, "what is this transformation?"

Korrin, "we don't know entirely, but when this happens, everyone will need to leave Namek as soon as they can."

Roshi, "so when the time comes, we need to use our Dragon Balls to wish everyone on Namek who was killed by this Frieza person and his men, and Vegeta back-"

Tien, "and then ask whoever used the Dragon Balls to wish everyone but Goku and Raditz here to the Lookout?"

Kami, "right."

Bora, "this could work!"

Chaotzu, "let's hope this all works."

….

Goku and Frieza simply glared at one another for a solid five tense minutes before they both launched themselves towards one another, beginning the fight. Goku could actually meet Frieza's speed, making the fight much more fair. The two began striking at one another, over and over again, fists meeting fists, feet meeting knees, elbows meeting elbows. Even when Frieza tried to strike Goku with his tail, Goku was able to keep swatting it away. The fight was growing more and more intense by the minute. Goku's gi even began testing gradually as the fight put him through his limits quite a bit. Raditz, Piccolo and the other three of their small group kept their distance as the fight continued, but we're ready to step in at any time.

Goku was slowly trying to put Frieza on the defensive, so he could get some strikes against the space emperor. But quickly, Frieza managed to snake his way behind Goku, and wrapped his tail around Goku's neck, and tried to strangle him, but had trouble as Goku gripped the tail tightly, trying to keep himself from being strangled.

Goku, "no Frieza, yamate!"

Frieza, "ha! What are you gonna do now, monkey?"

Goku opened his jaws wide open, and….

Chomp!

Frieza, "agagahah!"

Frieza backpeddled and held his tail after punching Goku in the face.

Goku, "ah! You punched me in the face!"

Frieza, "you bit my tail!"

Goku, "you punched me in the damned face!"

Frieza, "you bit my f #king tail!"

Goku, "well, you were strangling me!"

Frieza, "that's it! I'm going to drown you like a sack of puppies!"

Goku, "why would you drown puppies?!"

Frieza, "because they're cute and cuddly."

Goku, "... are you coming onto me?"

Frieza, "that's it!"

Frieza launched himself right back at Goku, and the two were right back at it! The were once again fighting for a solid three minutes before Frieza kicked Goku in the face, plopping him into the water, and Frieza tried holding him down in the water. Goku, at first, tried to get out to the water, with his life and everyone he cared about flashing before his eyes, but then had an idea. He acted like he had been drowned, sinking himself, making Frieza move away from the water. Goku quickly formed two balls of energy, slowly moved them through the water, nd fling them out of the water, hitting Frieza squarely in the chest. Goku jumped out of the water like a bullet, managing to uppercut Frieza, and began whaling on him with punches for another solid minute.

As Raditz and the others watched this, he couldn't help the dumb grin that spread across his face at the sight. He never would have guessed that his brother would be this powerful, given how weak he was when they first met when compared to him.

Frieza managed to block Goku's hits and started once again being caught in a deadlock of strikes. Goku knew that if he didn't come up with an idea to end this soon, he could very well lose this fight. And that's when it hit him.

The Spirit Bomb!

If Goku could manage to make a Spirit Bomb powerful enough, he might be able to take down Frieza!

So, as Goku managed to kick Frieza away a whopping twenty feet, Goku raised his arms and hands into the air, and began gathering the energy he needed.

Frieza slowly got up, and gave a confused look at Goku holding his arms in the air.

As he started giving a small rant directed to Goku, the group, namely; Gohan, Chi Cha, Raditz and Krillin managed to figure out what he was trying to do.

Raditz, "Piccolo, we need to step in."

Piccolo, "heh, figures that a fight with this guy would force you to call me by my name."

"Didn't he used to call you green man?"

Piccolo, 'unfortunately.'

Raditz, "Ka-, ngh, Goku, is trying to use the Spirit Bomb. We have to buy him some time, and now!"

Piccolo, "right. Gohan, Chi Cha, Krillin, watch our backs, me and Raditz are going in!"

Gohan, "right Mr. Piccolo!"

Chi Cha, "for Dende!"

Krillin, "you can count on us."

As Frieza was about to blast Goku in anger, Piccolo and Raditz jumped in and both kicked him in the same side. This knocked him back, buying Goku more time. Raditz and Piccolo were barely on the offensive as they tried to fight Frieza off.

Krillin and the two kids were slowly building up their own energy to try and provide Piccolo and Raditz some cover fire.

Piccolo was using that extending ar n technique to hit Frieza from a distance, while Raditz got a little closer to get into a deadlock of strikes. Raditz may now have been as strong as his brother or Frieza at that time, but he would do whatever he could to give his brother some time.

Piccolo was flung away by Frieza when he grabbed his arm, making him land near Krillin and the others. Raditz and Frieza's battle had begun to float through the air, and was soon working its way above the water.

By now, Goku was close to finishing his attack.

As Raditz and Frieza fought, Krillin and the others had their attacks on standby.

Krillin, "where's the Spirit Bomb? Shouldn't there be a big glowing blue ball of energy?"

Gohan, "uh, Krillin, you might wanna look up."

Krillin, "wha-"

Krillin froze as he saw the huge Spirit Bomb, high in the air. It was like the size of a giant space-ship!

Krillin, "woah! That's huge!"

Chi Cha, "but can it take down Frieza?!"

Gohan, "we can only hope!"

Piccolo, "I'd suggest we all head to the air."

And like that, they quickly took to the air.

Raditz caught sight of this, and so he let Frieza deck him in the face, making him soar through the air, and quickly joining the others.

Frieza, "pah! Cowardly monkey. Now to deal with the other o-"

Frieza caught sight of the bright reflection in the water.

Frieza, "what is that?! Another sun? A moon?"

Frieza slowly turned his gaze upwards, and saw the Spirit Bomb.

Frieza, "... oh dear."

Frieza quickly tried firing blasts of black and red energy, but they were only engulfed by the large attack.

And that's right when Goku had finished collecting the energy he needed. With that, Goku thrust his arms downwards, right on top of Frieza! The space emperor tried to stop it, but it only pushed him down as Piccolo quickly flew back down to help Goku get away. The bomb, and by extension, Frieza, splashed down into the water, causing a huge tidal wave that the crew only barely missed. Piccolo and Goku quickly sped over to the others as the land around them started to flood.

The group quickly made their way to a land on a plateau that managed to be high enough for them to rest.

The group all started panting heavily as they finally had a moment to rest.

And then all if them started to laugh as they felt utter relief about the whole situation.

Frieza was gone!

Krillin, "you did it Goku! You did it!"

Raditz, "I never thought I'd see the day a Saiyan could take down Frieza!"

Gohan, "great work daddy!"

Goku, "hey, good work to all of you guys for managing to survive that monster."

Piccolo, "we need to meet up with the others. We can probably use the Dragon Balls on Earth to resurrect all of the Namekians."

This gave Chi Cha some relief, since it meant they could bring back Dende!

But before they could do anything, everyone saw Krillin freeze up.

Everyone looked confused, until Krillin pointed behind everyone.

Everyone slowly turned to see what shook Krillin up.

And standing there, with one eye closed tightly, and scorch marks all over his body….

…. Was Frieza

PokemonFreak90: thanks. I'm trying to include the movies as best as I can. As for Bardock, an idea I had to bring him back was that he somehow survived Planet Vegeta's destruction, landing on a small planet of frog people gravely injured, but because their protector, and even unlocked the Super Saiyan transformation while there. As Goku is lost in space, he would come across this planet and meet his father, where the two would return to Earth together.

Neko: that's…. A very good idea. Like, Gero runs off with Bulma after he fights the others, and tries to turn her into an android. By the time the crew finds them, Bulma has been transformed, but they get there before he puts a bomb in her. Also, I'm thinking of calling the Androids cyborgs instead, since 18, aka: Lazuli, 17, and 16 are people turned into robotic people, while 19, 13, 14, 14 and Eighter are just robots who look human. I like your idea, and it would give Bulma another way to protect herself and the other non-fighter characters. What happens with this idea depends on where I go with the Android saga.

At first, I was going to keep Dende alive, but I felt that when he comes back and reunites with Chi Cha would be more heartfelt, since she would think he's dead.

Also, just so you guys know, I write the story mostly from memory, from both the original show, and stuff I take from DBZA, while also changing certain stuff so my story can stand on its own a little more.
