Going back to the penthouse after a month and a half of that dreaded day was not Callie was expecting at all. The elevator door was just starting to open when she heard a scream.
"Ah! What the fuck, you little shit!"
Doors slowly opening when she saw the blonde haunting her dreams, on top of the counter. Yes, on top of the counter. Squatting ON TOP of the counter.
"Little fucker!" Arizona's right hand was holding a bottle of ketchup, the other was covering her ear. Using the bottle like some kind of gun, she squirted it towards the floor. Then put her hand over her other ear. That's when Callie noticed the floor, the walls with splattered ketchup everywhere.
Callie hated the way they separated a month ago, but she couldn't help but to see the blonde as cute as ever.
"What are you doing?" She was happy to see the blonde but she wouldn't give in so she hid her smile and raised her brows.
"There's a fucking bug flying around!" Arizona screamed again when the bug flew around her head, spraying it with ketchup. "Die you little motherfucker!" She squeezed and targeted the bug. More ketchup around.
"And you are trying to kill it with ketchup?" Callie leaned over the clean spot of the wall.
"I was-shit! Shit!" The bug flew over her head again. The blonde closed her eyes, sat down, knees to her chest, hands over her ears.
Pssst!
Arizona opened one eye and saw Callie with a can in the air and spraying it around. The brunette put the can back in the lower cabinet and shut it close.
"Bug spray is much more effective than ketchup." Callie gave her Torres glare to the blonde.
"It was all I had when it attacked me!" Arizona pouted. Slowly, stepping down from the counter. It was the first time Callie notice what was Arizona wearing. It was like a brand new blonde in her eyes. Sure she have seen Arizona dress up, but not like this. Very professional. Like sexy, hot, professional. She has a silk white button up shirt, when she says button up, button up just up to her chest so Callie could see a little chest skin, tucked in a dark pants with her black coat still on.
Callie just raised her brows at her.
"I was hungry." Arizona shrugs, she grabbed a bottle of water and drank from it. Like a lot. Arizona watched Callie drop her duffle bag in the couch and lean back on the back of the couch facing the blonde. Callie crossed her arms, looking down at the floor. "Your things are gone." Arizona spoke up as she closed the bottle.
"Yeah. Moved in with Yang." Callie nodded while still looking down.
"Where?" Arizona bit her lips.
"Rains." She answered as she looks up to Arizona. Taking in her professional look, and a month and a half of sexlessness from all the hot and heavy sex they were having before.
"That's uh- a little father away from here." Arizona questioned, crossing her arms too. Leaning over the counter. She didn't notice the ketchup in the counter so she kind of spread it around. Turning around for bit to look for the paper towels to wipe it off. "You know, you could have stayed here. This is your place too."
"I can't. Everything here reminds me of you." Callie cleared her throat and grabbed her duffle bag and shake it a bit to show the blonde. "But I'm here most weekend to do the laundry, laundry is free so its always full. And I clean up when I can." Pointing on the mess Arizona made.
"Sorry." Arizona dropped her head and started to pull some paper towels to wipe the ketchup-gun mess. Callie walked over and helped her.
Callie knelt down to wipe the floor while Arizona took her coat off and threw it on the couch. Callie watched the blonde take it off, subtly licking her lips and bit it before Arizona could see her.
"Didn't know you'd be back." Callie mumbled as she wipes the floor.
"Had a couple of days off. I wanted to see how you are." Arizona gulps. "And Tim, and Aria." They continue to clean the ketchup massacre when Arizona spoke again. "How is school?"
"Hectic." Callie stated. She didn't want to give in, she was not exactly mad at Arizona. She was mad at the situation. Why is it never the right time for them? "I'm actually a TA for Dr. Green."
"Dr. Spits-everywhere?" Arizona laughed. "Aren't you drowning in his saliva by now?" Callie laughed with her. Callie always feel light and happy around Arizona. She is still annoyed about the situation, but now? With Arizona here? She'll take full advantage.
"You said you were hungry? How about a pizza, tequila and laundry?" Callie wiggled her eye brows.
Arizona playfully taps her index finger in her cheek then smiled. "I'm in for the pizza and tequila, laundry? Not so much. I mean if you want a foot of suds in the laundry room again."
Slowly opening her eyes, Callie couldn't remember where she was for a second. Then felt the soft arm around her, turning her head, she saw a pillow full of blonde hair and the most beautiful face she have ever seen already staring at her.
"I'm surprised you are already awake." Callie grinned as she turned her body to face Arizona.
"I am up everyday at 6am. This is already late for me." Arizona smiled as she tucked Callie's hair in her ear. "Why did I leave again?" Blinking again to make sure it was real, Arizona leaned in and kiss the brunette.
Callie smirked and threw the blanket away, straddling the blonde, she flipped her hair over her shoulders and leaned in to kiss the blonde's neck. "Mhm. Because you are trying to be responsible." Another kiss, and she sucked the skin making Arizona moan. "But I'm going to give you a reason not to leave." She continued to kiss the blonde over her collar bone.
Ding!
"Anyone home?" They heard a voice call out.
Dropping her head over Arizona's chest, Callie grunted and jumped out of the bed an pulled on her pants and a shirt. Arizona sat up and held the blanket in her chest. "Why do everyone have a key card to this place?" Callie mumbled as she steps out of the room.
"Callie?" Tim asked as he puts a couple of paper bags in the counter. Aria walks in and kissed Callie on the cheeks, then walked over to the couch and plops down. "When-" Tim was about to ask when Callie arrived but shut his mouth when his sister came out of the room with her hair disheveled. Tim smirked. "Nevermind."
"Hey Timmy." Arizona walks over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water.
Aria turned from the couch to look at the people in the kitchen. "Little Robbins? You are already here." She gave a knowing smile.
Arizona just gave a side look to Callie who was busy stuffing her duffle bag with the laundry she have done last night. "I have to go, we have a study group meeting." Callie mumbles as she walks towards the elevator.
"Be back in before dinner!" Aria waved her off.
"Weeks of moping and trying to move on, now you-" Addison shook her head and flipped another page of the book.
"Now she's rewarding herself with some Robbins lovin'" Mark wiggled his eye brows and snickered behind his notebook.
Rolling her eyes, Callie briefly closed it and bit her lips. "I'm not. Just maybe, maybe I can convince her to stay here, you know? Like try to be a responsible person from here." She shrugs.
Teddy and Alex just look at each other then back to their notes. Arizona's friends went with Callie in medical school. Not so secretly updating the blonde about the brunette and somewhat keeping her in touch with the idea of taking the course too. They have a couple of classes together and decided to create a study group with some older students like Addie, Mark, and Burke due to Cristina joining them too.
"You two." Callie turned in her seat. "What do you think?"
Teddy looked at Alex then tried to open her mouth but Alex said something. "Robbins loves you. That's big for her. She never said it to anyone before. Hold on to that." With that, Alex collected his stuff and got up.
"Finally! I'm starving." Aria cheered as Callie arrived in the hotel where their parents are staying.
"Aria." Lucia Torres hushed her daughter.
"She was taking too long." Aria mumbles next to Tim who patted her thigh and looks back at her sister who was just watching Callie give a kiss to her father and mother then sat down.
"Don't mind your sister mi hija." Lucia shook her head at Aria. "How is school?"
Everyone else was just watching Callie place the napkin on her lap before looking up. Her father however have this stoic look. "Busy. I had to run some errands for Dr. Green because he had some kind of emergency."
"We would be much more comfortable if you are staying in the Robbins' penthouse. Round the clock security, you don't really need a roommate mi amor." Lucia waves for the waiter to serve Callie.
"Its Arizona's place Mama." Callie sighs as her mother force fed her with bread and some chicken.
"It's your place too." Arizona mumbles. And Lucia pointed to the blonde like saying 'see?'
"Hija, your roommate is a weirdo." Carlos spoke up for the first time.
Rolling her eyes, Callie drops her head and started to cut her chicken before her mother could cut it for her and feed it to her. "Daddy, Cristina is not a weirdo."
"She kinda is." Arizona mutters quietly but the Torres' heard. And again with the look 'see?' Tim and Aria was just grinning and eating, looking back and forth to whoever is talking.
"Okay. Stop. Can we talk about something else?"
Carlos cleared his throat. "How about that student loan? You know we can fully pay your tuition fee, you shouldn't have to worry about that."
"You took a student loan?" Arizona stopped eating for a second to look at Callie.
Callie closed her eyes once more, dropping the silverware in her hands lightly on the table, she look directly at her father. "First of all, you two stop. You two made a decision for me, without actually consulting me." Callie looked at Arizona and her Dad. "Daddy, please. We didn't even know if you were going to let me go to medical school and truly accept me for being bi-sexual."
"I've changed." Carlos nodded at his wife.
"Yes I know. And thank you for finally trying to understand me. But when we talked and you promise to let me do things on my own now. With your unwavering support?" She asked, repeating the words her father offered when they talked after Arizona left.
Callie looked over to Arizona. "And you, you want to be responsible? I want to be too. And we will talk after this dinner. But now, let's change topic." Before anyone could talk, she raised her index finger. "Anything that is not about me."
Tim smiled then lightly hit his glass with his fork while standing up. "With all that settled, we have something to announce." Aria joined him and wrapped her arm around his waist. "We already know this is going to happen but, we are officially engaged." Lucia squealed and Carlos gave an approving nod while Aria raised her hand.
Before Lucia could hold her hand, Aria pulled it away. "Don't touch it, Mama. I already washed it but I want it to be professionally cleaned and sanitized because-" Aria glared at Tim and pointed. "He dropped it in the toilet before he could give it to me."
"You dropped it in the toilet?" Arizona laughed.
"She makes me nervous!" Tim pouted as they both sat down.
"First woman who could ever do that." Arizona smiled. She was definitely happy for her brother. "Congratulations." She raised her glass.
Carlos stood up and hugged his daughter and patted Tim on the shoulder. A little harder that he expected it to be making the blonde man lean forward. "I know this started as a business deal with our companies, but I am happy to know that my daughter will be with someone who respects her and loves her." Carlos stated as he raised his glass to Tim and Aria. Callie bit her lips and turned to face the couple, missing the wink he sent to Arizona before continuing. "But hurt her, and I know people."
"Dad!" Aria screeched. Lucia playfully slaps her husband's arm.
The hotel was not far from the penthouse and Callie's dorm. After the dinner, Callie kissed Aria and her parents off then focused on Arizona. "You, we're walking."
So here they are. 5 minutes in silence. "I know, I know you are still mad."
"No. Stop talking." Callie stated. Pulling Arizona away. Arizona didn't notice where they are until they are standing in front of the building of the penthouse. Callie turned to face Arizona. "I am mad. About this, about your deal with my dad, the decisions you made without me. But I understand why you are doing this. And I know you said you didn't want me to hold back.-"
"I don't."
Raising her finger, Callie made a sound. "Not yet finished." Arizona bit her lip and nodded. "You told me you love me. And I love you. So let me. Just let me." Callie held her hands. "Let me love you."
