I stared at him, "it's over Edgar, Evelyn has lost and we are taking back control of the city. I am giving you this chance to flee now, with your life. We were friends at one point, and so I'm offering you this." He put his gun down, but instead of leaving he walked towards me. "I'm sorry I shot your mother, it was an accident. I would never do anything to hurt you…" He put his hand out towards me, and I backed away from it. "You what...?" "I-I didn't mean to, it was an accident. I was just shooting around you guys, hoping it would scare you and maybe you wouldn't make it down the otherside before we could get up and stop you... I swear Kara, I never meant..." "I can't handle this right now, you need to go...and for your sake, I would probably never show your face to me again, I don't think I could hold back if we came face to face again." He nodded and shambled back down from where he came, Eric jumped down and came over to check on me and kissed me. He placed his forehead to mine, rubbing my belly absentmindedly, before we decided to get back to the others. Four was tending to his mother while Chris and Tris were tying up the others we had shot or knocked out to get to the main floor. Caleb had manually overridden the system and turned the power back on from the backup generators, changing all the pass codes and blocking David's access.

"That should buy us some time to get things in order here, he can't get in anymore." I nodded, "set up a broadcast for Chicago, there are things they need to hear and understand." He punched in some buttons and nodded for me to speak into the monitor. "Citizens of Chicago, my name is Kara and I am here with Tris, Four and many of our friends. Evelyn has been removed from leadership as well as her men cleared out. Tonight there will be a meeting held in the Erudite building. Everyone is needed to attend, even the factionless, this is only the beginning for us." I nodded that I was done, and Caleb pressed some more buttons. "The message will replay for a few hours that should give them time to show up, I hope you know what you are doing." I nodded to him, "No I don't, but I know what I am doing will be the right thing to do. Maybe not the best, but it will always be the right thing."

Eric followed me out of the building and we took a convoy out front to ride to the gates and meet up with my father. We saw him sitting on the ground looking at a pile of rocks by himself. "Byron…" He looked up to me, he was covered in sweat, and if it were possible, he looked like he had aged quite a bit being out here. "I buried her here; she always said she wanted to see outside the walls one day, so I know she would have loved this." I squatted in front of him, holding his own hands in mine, "I think she would have too." I looked to Eric and he nodded, backing off and giving us a minute. "I found that guy who killed her, but it was an accident, I'm sure by now he has high-tailed it out of here, but I couldn't bring myself to deliver any kind of punishment. I felt like she wouldn't have wanted that... I want revenge for her death, however I am trying to be a leader this city finally needs and to be someone this city can look up to, well those are orders I cannot afford to hand out directly." He understood and I had to leave him to make up his own mind about revenge, just as I saw someone did with Rommit. We passed over their crashed ship and I saw a mutilated and crushed body left in the middle, blood painted across the desert floor, I could only assume it was his rotting corpse.

When we returned to Erudite, the building was flooded with people and we had to push past several bodies to make it to the second floor where the others were. I leaned over the ledge of the railing, peering down at everyone and waited until they quieted down enough to hear me.

"For those of you who do not know, my name is Kara. Tris Prior and I are what you call divergent. Upon finding out Jeanine called to arms for our destruction. She failed in this and wound up being taken out by a factionless group led by Evelyn Eaton, who then turned on her fellow Chicago citizens in a need to restore order and make a place in society where factionless can fit in. In that time our little group made it out beyond the wall and came upon a city called The Bureau, who answered to a higher power named The Council. The Bureau set up our city as an experiment to weed out divergents, as a group we were to find our way out to them as proof their experiment worked. They refer to us with one-hundred percent or as close to that as possible, as pure. The rest they considered were damaged and could not be saved, they were going to let you all either kill each other or use a memory serum that was seen spreading through the city earlier to wipe your memories and restore the faction system to start again with growing divergents.

"They believe divergents can bring the world back to the way it was before all the wars and restore the original peace, which keeping the divided factions was a way of starting the war in the first place. Everything you were ever taught or heard about why we are the way we are was wrong and implanted. We managed to stop the serum from spreading but the threat is far from over, the leader of the bureau, David, has been supplying Erudite with weapons and the simulation serum that caused dauntless to overcome and harm abnegation. He will not stop until he has taken back control of his project, and will come after us again or try to wipe us out all together and start all over. We cannot allow this to happen, there are people living between here and the bureau that he is harming, families that he is murdering and tearing apart. Most likely your families, he has been stealing their children for many, many generations and wiping their memory clean and planting them here to keep his experiment going. This we cannot allow any further, we need to come together and stand united against him; not as factions but as one...

" If you are willing to step up and join us, all crimes will be forgiven and you will be branded a soldier for the cause. Regardless, the factionless will no longer be considered separate and you may move back into the city and beds will be supplied to many of the abandoned buildings, you will be rationed into our meals and rejoin the public. As of now, there are no factions, period. If you choose to continue living the way you are, as if you have a faction that is your choice, but the factionless will no longer be frowned upon. Those of you who helped Evelyn or Jeanine will have your trials and your punishment dealt accordingly. If you are against any of this please raise your hand, feel free to explain yourself, if you have a good enough reason."

I stood and waited for hands to be raised, I saw only one, "Yes Jack Kang, formerly of Candor?" "How can we believe this all actually happened? How do we know that the faction system is what caused the war and that attacking him will not lead to the death of everyone here." I nodded, "he has a wonderful question, and well you can give me the truth serum if you think I am lying. I will stand before everyone here and take it. As for us all being killed, would you rather die fighting, or die sitting in your home waiting the day it will happen at any moment?" They all milled about, sharing what they thought to their neighbor, most of it getting back to Jack. "We stand with you Kara, what is your plan?" I smiled, "I will need a council put together to help decided what will happen next. Jack why don't you and Johanna join me, that way the people can be sure this is not a biased choice. The rest of you can help the factionless to beds in this building and for families to the houses out in abnegation." Johanna and Jack came upstairs while the others started greeting old friends and family they had to abandon before to factionless. We adjourned to the main room of Erudite, sitting in Jeanine's old office to discuss matters of David and The Bureau.

"Eric I need you to get my father and a few members you trust and take to the wall. We don't know when David might strike and I need people I can trust out there." He nodded and kissed me, grabbing some guns and heading out to find others and meet with my father at the wall. "Now that we have everyone, our meeting can begin, Caleb why don't you start?" He looked nervous but I nodded to him for courage, he knew more about the chemicals tucked away in this building than I did. "Well I took a look at the other toxins that Jeanine had hidden here that she was given by David. Peter of course tried to use the memory serum on the city, but I saw there were many others to choose from. Luckily there is an antidote for most of them, except one, and I can imagine that will be his next move. The death serum as it was labeled, was his last resort for weeding out divergents, I found encrypted messages from him to her on her computer that if she couldn't get control and find them all to use the death serum that it would only kill divergents and not harm anyone else. That of course was the lie; it actually would kill everyone in the city, except, divergents. It will adhere to their chemical makeup and act as a sleeping pill. They would wake up hours later to find the bureau there and the whole city dead. If he chose to use it now, it would be his best defense, because only two people in this room would survive, and I would imagine only a handful from the whole city. It works only on pure or as close to pure divergents. So I'm guessing anyone with less than seventy-five percent, maybe, would be guaranteed dead. The serums I found were all labeled to the faction they were entrusted with and are as follows: Fear serum belongs to dauntless, the Truth serum was given to Candor, Amity has the Peace serum and the memory serum belonged to abnegation. The last two of course were both entrusted to erudite; Death and Paralytic."

There was a buzzing in my ear as Eric was calling me on my com, "yes?" "We found two people walking outside the wall and there also seems to be some kind of dispute going on right outside your building." "Ok, we will check it out, bring the two people here." I hung up with him and looked to Four, "there is a minor war going on outside, can you deal with it?" He nodded and left while I stayed with the members of our new council to discuss what we should do. Before I could begin Eric had walked in with Mathew and Nita in tow. "Thank you, can you please help Tobias outside?" He nodded and left, "ah well here is your proof Jack, this is Mathew and Nita from the bureau. To what do we owe this pleasure and how did you manage to make it here?" "Well after you took off I ran back downstairs and found Nita, we took one of the ground vehicles and snuck out the side, making a circle so we wouldn't be noticed and followed your trail here. David has grown mad since you shut down his experiment and plans on attacking you by releasing the death serum on the city and capturing all divergents left alive. Afterwards he plans on re-erasing the memories of everyone at the bureau as some of them have started to turn against him."

Nita turned and left, I knew where she was headed and I think Tris did too, she knew that time she spent with David and was not with Four that he spent it elsewhere. I know Four would never be with Nita but I could understand where Tris' disdain for her came from. "Mathew please sit, I am making you a member of the council as we decide where to go from here to overthrow him. However I must ask that after we help, you all can help us restore balance and peace here in the city. It seems many do not like that I allowed factionless back into the city with open arms and are causing something of a ruckus outside." He sat and nodded, agreeing to help us after we help him, which was our biggest threat right now.

"I will be putting Evelyn back in charge, temporarily to keep things under control with her crowd outside. I think our group should head back in an attempt to make peace with David and have Caleb hack into his system and redirect the serum, switch it out for the memory serum and signal their supply to go off instead of ours. We can inoculate ourselves here before we go." Everyone seemed to agree with my plan, even Kang, who I thought would be harder to convince. "Tris are you with us?" She was still lost in thought over Tobias and Nita, when the thought hit her that Nita would be joining us, she quickly made her mind up. "I don't plan on letting you all go alone."

I had adjourned the meeting to tend to the mess outside, Eric had told me they were not listening and a war was soon to break out. "What in the hell is going on? How did they get weapons? I want every weapon in this damn compound confiscated. It is one thing to let them duke out their issues it is another to let them murder each other just because!" I turned to Eric and he got on his com letting the other loyal dauntless members know to start apprehending all weapons and put resisters under arrest until they could calm down. Caleb set up a loud speaker for me, "if you do not calm down you will force us to arrest all of you and do not think I won't, each faction has a set of cells in them. What is the problem, honestly, we have bigger fish to fry. The bureau is planning on using a death serum to kill everyone in this city and you all are going to sit there and fight about who gets to be leader. Evelyn is being put in charge temporarily until our return. Our council has been divided into faction leaders we just will not have factions. I have already said if you still choose to live that way that is fine, but do not scold others for not doing the same and vice versa. Is one war not enough for you or rather the two small ones that we have had? The attack on abnegation was horrific and then the allegiant war between the factionless and the factions was childish, much like now. We have way more important things to worry about… this is pathetic." I was angry at this point, and walked away, right now I had to stop David from killing our entire city. I can worry about them slitting each other's throats later, although if I didn't stop this, what city would I have left to save? My head began to hurt and I needed to just do what I could as quickly as I can, to finally end this.

I got on my com, "boys bring it in we need to talk." "Roger that." I heard Eric's voice come back to me and my heart jumped, he was what I needed to feel better. I went back into the conference room and dismissed the others, only needing my close friends with me for discussion. I did allow Matthew and Nita to stay but gave them an order to listen only, they could speak at the end, I still need to maintain the upper hand in this situation and if I let them fill their heads with nonsense I may not be able to execute my plan as smoothly. Eric walked in with Four, Chris and Will in tow, they took their places around the table. "Alright so it has been brought to our attention that David is planning on releasing the death serum in our city. So Caleb I need you to remove all vials immediately, be very careful, and I want you to destroy every serum we have except the truth serum, a few vials of the memory serum and of course leave the antidote for the memory serum. Load the others up in a convoy, Tris and I will drive that one to the bureau, we are the only ones who would survive whatever it gave out.

"As for Eric and Four I need you to round up a handful of dauntless members who are loyal to our cause to go with us, leave the rest here to keep Evelyn and the city in place. Any who step over this line will be executed upon our arrival back; I am tired of this war. Nita you and Matthew will be our first scouts in, since you know the compound a little better than all of us. Will I need you and Christina on the back lines to give us support, as soon as we infiltrate they will pour out like insects and I will need you there with our dauntless defense team to step into action. Caleb as for your job when we get there, well, that will be between you and I…we leave in an hour, get what you need and let's go. A night attack is better for us dauntless members and they won't see it coming, literally. Matthew I already read your mind, if you and Nita could leave now and distract the thermal cameras on the shield for us, that would be wonderful." I turned looking at him as he opened his mouth to speak, he shut it and smiled.

Everyone seemed on board with my plan, Caleb had given Nita and Mathew antidotes for the memory serum before they left and then we lined up for them as well. I wasn't sure the affect it would have on divergents, but no use in taking a risk we didn't need to. Eric found me suiting up, still clad in the shorts, and knee high boots Nita loaned me as before. I felt him behind me, his hands brushing strands of my hair back and tucking them behind my ear; I turned and looked at him over my shoulder, placing my hand over his. He leaned down and kissed my hand before lacing my fingers with his and turning me to face him. "You are so strong and beautiful and your heart is so pure…" I smiled at him, "and what are you getting at Eric?" He had a playful smile on his face as he sat me down on the bed and knelt in front of me. "I love you Kara, and I will follow you to the ends of the earth and back, assuming we make it back from this alive, which I hope so because you are carrying my child… But I'm hoping you'll give me the chance to marry you." My breath caught in my throat, I didn't know what to think, I had never thought of my life including marriage, to be honest I wasn't sure I would even be alive this long after everything that has happened. However the one constant in my life has been Eric, whether he was good or bad for me at the time, I knew he was everything I needed now. I smiled softly at him, thinking about how when this whole war against the bureau was done and we straightened things out here, with no factions per se, why couldn't I settle down? "Yes Eric, I will marry you, I could think of no higher honor." Our kiss was sweet and I loved every second that it lasted; now I was praying that we made it through this alive.

We left our room, hands still laced, smiling like idiots as we met the others downstairs by the convoys. "What are you two all smiles about?" Chris took notice of our usual lust filled looks at each other had turned soft and sweet. "We've decided after all this shit kicks the bucket, we would like to be formally married before I give birth." Chris and Will were of course excited for us, and I knew Caleb was also rather happy in general. I avoided Tris and Four, knowing their looks were at each other and not us, she wants to love him more than ever, but I don't think she can bring herself to bare the loss of him. She knows we might not all make it out alive tonight, and to acknowledge feelings like this before hand was just asking for heartbreak, but we didn't care. I doubt I could find another after Eric, I don't think I would want to; I know his feelings are mutual otherwise he wouldn't have asked me for forever. After a few congratulations we all loaded up and Eric kissed me and my stomach before jumping in his convoy with Four while Tris climbed up into ours. I knew by now Nita and Matthew had to have returned and let their friends on that side know we are coming to aid them, and hopefully we're able to bypass the system and block our infrared signals from the shield.

So we took off in that direction at full speed, I was nervous but after the Eric deal I was also excited in a way, and that maybe frightened me a little. I shook the feeling away from me and drove on in silence, I knew Tris was itching to talk about something but I couldn't push it with her, we were only minutes away from the shield anyway, maybe she would tell me later…My com started to crackle in my ears, "yes?" I pushed the button down and waited for a response. "Babe the shield is down; can you see from back there?" I looked up and squinted to peer into the darkness, seeing that I could see the bureau in the distance, "I guess they couldn't figure out how to shut down the alarm to it so they just turned it off?" "Roger…" I knew he could hear the question in my voice, they slowly filed in and parked in a row, letting me pull up and park in the center of them. We had just got out and started trekking over to the building when an explosion happened, shards and shrapnel rained down around us and we took cover to avoid being hit.

I pushed on my com, now that we were in distance, "Matthew what the hell was that?" I waited for him to come in, "my head…I don't know, I think it was Nita, we separated, and she said she was going after David…" "Shit! Ok just get out of there and get to us as soon as you can, we need help out here." I turned around but Tris was already running towards the inside of the bureau. "God damnit, can nobody stick to the fucking plan?!" I shook my head as the others walked over to me, I could tell Four wanted to run after her but he knew what was at stake. "Ok I need you two to carry in the serums and hook them up where Caleb tells you to. Caleb you know what to do from there, hook those up and switch them all to attack the bureau when he pushes that button. As soon as you're done you all need to get the hell out, grab the wounded and ones who are with us and get back here. I will go get Tris and get back here with her, keep your com's on and stay in contact!" I grabbed my gun and ran in while the guys handled the rest of my orders. I quickly made my way to David's loft, noticing my barcode still worked, David was hoping we would come back or that he could erase our memories for him not to change our access. As soon as the elevator doors opened I saw David with a gun to Tris' head and Nita pointing one back at him. I knew he would never hurt Tris or me, so in this instance Nita was my target.

She was too caught up in yelling at David to notice me behind her; I knocked her out with the butt of my gun and cuffed her hands behind her back before quickly going back to my stance to make sure Tris was alright. "You can't win David, you are only going to hurt yourself, just let her go and put your gun down." "No I will get control back of this division as well as your little Chicago, divergents will be in charge and under my command, there –…" I shot towards him and he dropped his gun as well as let go of Tris, she picked his gun up and we had both pointed at him. "Caleb!" I whispered into my com, "one second please." "We don't have one second David is by the computer." "Ok, let him push it, I've changed the access code."

"I will press this button, if you two don't lower your weapons and come under my custody. Everyone you knew, everything you loved will be gone." I nodded at Tris and she smiled, she let her gun fall to her side and walked over to him, pressing the bar down in front of him. Red words flashed across the screen 'ACCESS DENIED' she pulled his arms behind his back and cuffed him, "you're welcome, we just stopped you from committing even more murder, maybe that will help you at your trial."

Tris removed him and Nita locking them in cells below, while I met up with Eric to assess the damages. "How bad is the building?" "It looks like just the west corridor was blown out; she gave the weapons to her followers and used the grenade to blow up the remaining guns for a one-sided war. It wouldn't take too long to rebuild and there are plenty of workers here." "How many were injured?" "A few were killed and Uriah got some shrapnel in his shoulder but he will live, nothing more than a scar." I nodded, I was happy there were few casualties in this, it could have been far worse, Nita had a good heart but she was going about things completely wrong. Hopefully her trial won't be too harsh but with a few deaths on her hands, who knows? "How did everything else go?" "Well Caleb changed the access codes to the release on the serums, but redirected them to release here anyway. We rounded up all the guns Nita gave out and gathered the wounded and children in the convoys to take back and treat at Chicago. Other than that what else did you need us to do?" "Gather the remaining workers and soldiers, round them up out here, see if any more want to change their mind, have Matthew speak to them; I need to go look at something real quick."

I left him with a kiss and returned to the monitor rooms and looked for an open room to look at surveillance for Chicago. "Shit…why do you guys go for guns the second we leave?" I left the room and ran back out to Eric, "a few more decided to join us but this lot is loyal to David and his cause." "Lock them up in cells, when you're done take the muscle back with you and stop Evelyn and Johanna…" Four stopped loading people up in trucks to listen to what I was saying, "They are both finding weapons and gearing up to battle it out bar-fight style. Take them with you, go stop this shit and we will meet you there later. Tris, Caleb and I will stay here and sort out the release of the memory serum on the followers who wish to stay. With a wiped memory we can get them doing some good here and rid ourselves of another future war. We will bring back David and Nita with us to stand trial with Chang as judge." "Ok we will see you back home," I smiled to him warmly, home; it sounded nice and even nicer coming from his lips. I kissed him gently, maybe lingering a few seconds extra, before we parted and he got in the cab of the convoy.

Four walked over to me before getting in, "I do want to congratulate you two…even though he isn't my pick, you did good. You three hurry up and get back home, Chicago couldn't have survived without you Kara." He clapped my shoulder and I smiled to him, "well in that case, be here in the morning to get us, we should have everything taken care of by then, in the meantime, I think someone needs a kiss before you go…" I looked over my shoulder to Tris who walked playfully passed me as I grabbed Caleb and led him back inside. "Okay I need the mask and handfuls of the memory serum. The others who wished to stay loyal to David will need their memories wiped and new skills and jobs handed out, which is where you come in. I will need you to wipe them while Tris and I give them identities and new skills, give the smarter ones a half extra dose, we need them as compliant as possible. I've seen that some tendencies can come back and the serum fades in smarter minds." He agreed and left to gather the supplies, Tris had come back inside with a smile on her face. "I am glad this is almost over and I am glad you're still with me." She leaned her head on my shoulder and sighed, I knew she was glad this was coming to an end, all these wars…we both wanted to just live and enjoy our lives.

"I gave Tobias a memory serum, he is hoping his mother will take it and stop trying to start wars over something that you ended." It was a good idea, and with his influence over her as her child, she may take it and we can have peace in Chicago as well. I explained to her my plan for those wishing to stay behind and support David and she agreed it would be a good idea. I walked down to the cells where they were being held. "So the few of you that decided to stay behind and support David, knowing you were stolen as a child and raised with a new memory. That you continue to steal and erase new children's minds everyday for him. So we will be erasing your minds again and letting you start over new. This is mandatory otherwise you will go to trial and I can promise you, death is the only thing awaiting you after that. Now if you want your name still or your relationship we will be happy to remind you of those details upon your new awakening. So your choice: death or a new memory, there is no in between. You will be given housing and a new job and go on with life with my option." Tris stepped up and cocked a pistol, "the other option is your trial of which I will be your judge and your jury, and I am on a guilty streak."

Easily enough they all chose for their memories to be erased and we got them started, afterwards Tris loaded them up in the convoy outside while I went to check on Caleb who was sent to replace David's memory. I found the cell open and both of them gone, "shit!" Nita's cell was also empty, I pressed my com, "Caleb and David missing, so is Nita, Tris I need back up now!" I ran back towards the elevator and rode it up; Caleb was sitting in a chair in front of David's computer with him standing behind him, a gun in his hands. "You don't know what you're about to do David, the serums are all here, if you release them you'll only be hurting yourself." He nudged the gun towards Caleb's head, "what is she talking about?" Tris finally caught up with us, "they brought every serum we had here and hooked them up and we switched the access, when I press this button, the memory serum will be released on this building only." Tris lowered her gun but I held mine firm, if Caleb had to be a sacrifice, it would hurt but I couldn't let him set the serums off, he needed to be stopped. Tris dropped her gun and walked forward, "Tris stop!" She moved forward slowly, "David let my brother go and take me instead."

This is why she could never be fully divergent, she would rather risk many lives instead of the one… I got ready to shoot, knowing I would have to. David shot Tris in the shoulder and she dropped, Caleb took the time to run towards me. "Get outside and check on the others, Nita is loose and could be dangerous." He nodded and with a last look at Tris he took off. His being a coward helped him understand he needed to get out instead of protecting his sister the way she did him. I saw David reaching for the control and shot him in the chest; he placed his hand over the wound and looked at the blood pouring out before pressing the control button. I watched him fall down and gasp on his last few breaths. I looked back over to the screen and saw the label 'DEATH RELEASE'. "Shit, Nita must have switched the serums, Tris get up, I need to get you out of here." She struggled to get up, the sun rising behind us, casting our shadows all around. The gas started pouring in around us, I didn't know what else to do, and it would take too long to get down the elevator and outside. I pulled her to the balcony instead, her blood flowing out freely now. "We have to jump if we want any chance out of this alive." She nodded barely hanging on, we went to the edge of the balcony and I looked down to see a truck under us, several levels down, we had to take the risk. I watched as Four pulled up and got out of the truck only to see us leap from the balcony.

Tobias rushed to us along with Caleb and I rolled Tris off the side for them to catch and jumped down myself. He sat down with her in his arms; she was hanging on, but not for long. "Grab a first aid kit now!" Caleb and I checked the surrounding trucks and couldn't find one. "There aren't any out here, Nita switched the memory to the death serum and David released it, there is a chance I could survive it…" He shook his head and lifted her up, "drive!" I pointed the other convoy out to Caleb with David's old followers and he got in while Four and I carried Tris to the other one and I revved up and took off like a bat out of hell. He was squeezing her hand and begging for her to hold on, I couldn't help the tears that flowed down my face, I was also whispering for her to hold on. I drove as quickly as I could; reaching the wall in several minutes rather than the twenty minutes it would have taken just cruising. I slammed on the brakes once inside and we pulled her out and into the nearest first aide tent. They had set them up for those hurt in Johanna and Evelyn's little war as well as the ones we brought from the bureau. Abnegation nurses took her from us, Four following them but I stayed put, covered in her blood. I turned and caught the eyes of Eric; my own welled up with tears. As soon as he noticed my face he ran over, before I could explain, I burst out into more crying. It was a rough time, to finally feel that I had time to breakdown, it wasn't just over Tris either, every emotion from the past few months, my mother, just everything swept through me and I just wanted it to be over.

I finally calmed down enough to explain what happened, my father found us and held onto me as I started to shake gently from sobbing so hard. Looking at him only made me think of momma harder and in that moment I wanted to be just a child again and have him hold me like he never got too. I think he understood and pulled me closer, Eric left to check on Tris, coming back out a minute later looking like a ghost, I knew it wasn't good, but she had to hang on, she just had to!

After a few more hours, the nurses came out and Caleb ran in, Four still never having come out, it was just those three in there for the longest time, before Caleb came out and sighed in relief, I couldn't help it, damn hormones, I started to cry again, but happier tears. We didn't have to lose her after all, Caleb fell to his knees, also sobbing in happiness. Eric came and took me from Byron and held me tightly, "how about we get you looked at babe? Make sure the baby is doing good too?" I nodded, finally able to let some of the stress go, knowing we stopped David, helped keep Chicago standing, at least for another day, and that Tris had survived the war as well. Things could only go up from here, well...here's to hoping it will...
