Well, lots of you were pretty shocked at last chapter's plot twist, and yeah, I know, I did say I would explain what the whole connection and the plot twist is and answer some questions, but now's not the time. Now, we're focused on the Society of Light, and before you guys say anything, the Season 2 isn't going to end after the Society of Light is taken down.
No. No, I plan to change things up during the Society of Light arc on Elize's end. I mean, it's not going to entirely focus on her, but I don't plan for her to be the main good guy who stops the big bad guy and saves the day. And, after the Society of Light is disbanded, there's still gonna be a few months before the school year ends for that, just like what happened with Season 1, so you can bet that this season is far from over even though we have like, 10 episodes left of the original season 2 arc. Now, that's all I'm gonna say about this, but let's get started!

"A what?"
"An honest-to-God therapy session! You know, just a talk amongst friends, supporting each other, and talking out our own personal feelings!" replied Jaden, grinning. "And, if there's any problems, like hostility between us, then we can work it out with a therapy session!"
'...But, we're not really friends, though. Not anymore,' Elize thought, annoyed. "Whose idea was this, by the way?"
"It was actually Hassleberry's idea, really," pointed out Chazz, noticing the slightly bewildered expression on her face. "Yeah, I was surprised, too."
"Yeah, to think dino brain here actually thought of something smart for a change!" chirped Syrus.
A tick appeared on Hassleberry's head. "HEY! What's that supposed to mean?!"
"Nothing!~"
Chazz sighed and looked at Elize. "Look, these idiots thought that since we're kinda not really good at working together, especially with the whole satellite thing that they kept from you, they figured that we just talk things out. Figured things out and help each other. As much as I'm still annoyed by them, I have to admit, they did make a sound argument with this one."
Elize had to admit, having a talk with each other to resolve their issues peacefully wasn't a bad idea. While Jaden and the others haven't contributed much to stopping the Society of Light lately, talking with each other in a counseling session might not be a bad thought to mend their communication together. It wasn't that Elize hated her "former friends" but it was more like she was disappointed and annoyed with their latest antics, especially with the important parts like the satellite cannon.
"So, what do you say? How about a good therapy session?" asked Jaden.
"..." Elize sighed and looked at them. "Look, guys...Part of me appreciates and respects the fact that you're at least trying to make things right between us, especially since we need to work together against the Society. But in the end, you and I both know that that's not exactly the main issue here."
"Yeah, I kinda have to agree," agreed Chazz, nodding his head. "I get what you mean, Elize."
"Hey! I thought you liked our idea, Chazz!" protested Hassleberry.
"You idiots, that's not what I mean!" said Chazz. "I mean, the only reason why I agreed with this stupid therapy session idea was because it might help both of us, even though most of the problems stemmed from Jaden and the others!"
"Hey! How can you say that?" asked Syrus.
"You seriously cannot expect me to answer that for you when it's clear what you've guys done recently?" deadpanned Chazz, annoyed. "And anyways, this isn't just your guys' fault...It's Elize's, too. Oh, and I guess Aster, too."
"What?!" everyone exclaimed, both out of shock and surprise.
"How is this my fault?!" demanded Elize. "I've been doing everything I can to stop the Society! Aster, too! Jaden and the others certainly weren't helping things, and worst, they kept very vital information! If anything, they're only making things worst!"
"Okay, good points, and I agree, most of this is kinda their fault," said Chazz. "But, you and Aster still hold some blame as well."
"Okay, kinda hurt by Elize's accusation, even if it is true," admitted Jaden. "But, yeah, I'm just as confused. How exactly is it their fault?"
"Simple. Elize, you and Aster want to stop the Society as soon as possible, right?" asked Chazz.
"Yeah?"
"But, you're only two people. You need more people to help out, but I don't see you putting much effort into recruiting others nor cooperating with Jaden and the others," Chazz explained. "Now, I can understand Aster because he's a goddamn prick, but you? I thought you would have taken advantage of all those people you returned to normal and have them help you out!"
"I..." Honestly, Elize hadn't even thought of recruiting any others to join in the fight against the Society of Light. "...You're right. I haven't recruited anymore people."
"And you're not even communicating and getting along with Jaden and the others," reminded Chazz. "Now, I can understand why, given their recent screw-ups-"
"HEY!"
"But is now really a good time to be at odds with each other? I mean, you guys aren't even enemies! Our common goal is to stop the Society! We can all agree on that, right?"
Everyone nodded their heads. "Yeah..."
Chazz sighed. "But, I know we're not all instantly gonna get along and sing happy friendship songs and hold hands and whatever disgusting crap that is. So, let's just do this whole therapy thing where we scream and cry and yell at each other until we feel all better."
"That's...not the only way to resolve a therapy session, but I guess you're right," agreed Elize, feeling a little more better about the idea.
"You know, you could potentially be a good therapist, Chazz," pointed out Syrus. "...If you weren't so grumpy all the time."
"Hey, I work better as a duelist than a damn therapist!" said Chazz. "Alright, so we doing this or what?"
Jaden, Hassleberry, and Syrus glanced at each other before the three of them nodded. "Yeah, sure."
"Okay, I'm down with it."
"Yeah, I think everyone's in motion."
"I'll go get Aster, so I'll be right back," said Elize.
"Oh, and we're inviting two more people to join us, if that's alright!" called out Jaden.
Elize nodded. "Okay! Go ahead!" She turned around and raced towards Aster's private cruise boat, hoping that things might go okay and that with Jaden and the others' more smarter approaches, they'll be able to stop the Society much faster. After all, a therapy session couldn't be that bad?
"Yeah, no. I'm not going."
In all fairness, Elize half-expected to hear that from Aster, who was nonchalant and less interested in friendship, but there was still half of her that was hoping that Aster might participate and give the therapy session a chance. At best, their relationship could be described as allies, but Elize did have some hope that they could be friends.
"Aster, you and I both know that we need their cooperation-"
"And we are cooperating. But their idiocy seems to be growing more and more everyday," said Aster. "Especially the fact that they knew about the satellite and didn't tell anyone!"
"Okay, I'll admit, that was a pretty stupid move," agreed Elize. "And I'm still angry at them about it, but right now, maybe we should just talk things out. In fact, I know you think we're cooperating with Jaden and the others, but it just...doesn't feel like cooperation to me."
"If that's the case, then that fault lies with Jaden and his friends," reminded Aster. "WE'RE the ones actually trying to do something. Taking down members one by one, trying to gather information, making plans to stop them-and what have they've been doing? Nothing."
"Well, I wouldn't really say-"
"And even if they HAD been doing something, like say, also taking down the members, I still don't think they've been contributing enough," stated Aster. "They've been doing a lot worst than good, like ignoring your friend, Bastion! And what did that result in? Him turning to the Society of Light!"
Elize looked away. "Well, you don't have to remind me of that-"
"I'm reminding you because that's what happened!" snapped Aster. "Face it, Elize! Your 'friends' are incompetent, lazy, useless, and a whole lot of trouble than they're worth! The only good thing about them is that they're essentially there to ease some of the burden of taking down the members! God, if we didn't need more allies, I wouldn't have bothered with them!"
Elize could feel Aster's pain and frustration in his words, because she, too, felt the same. Although his words are harsh, they still spoke truth. And yet, she took some deep breaths and calmed herself. No, it wouldn't do anyone any good if she were to march up to Jaden and the others and start yelling at them too. Then again, the entire purpose of the therapy session was to let loose all emotions so that both parties could resolve them.
Still, if Aster truly didn't want to participate in the therapy session, Elize knew she had no right to force him. "...I understand your frustration, Aster, but...are you sure you don't want to attend the therapy session?" asked Elize.
"Positive. You can go participate if you want to. I'm not talking to Jaden and his other friends unless necessary," scoffed Aster.
"Alright, then...If you change your mind-"
"I won't."
"..."
Elize knew that there was going to be issues brought up during their therapy session and that surely, tensions and headaches would arise. After all, therapy sessions help out in not only bringing out the truth, but helping both parties come to peaceful resolutions.
But even Elize could feel a small headache arising the moment she laid eyes onto the "two other guests" that Jaden mentioned earlier: Crowler and Bonaparte.
Still, because the entire purpose of the therapy session was for everyone to get along, she decided to give them a chance. After all, she decided to give the two adults another chance at keeping their jobs, so it would feel somewhat hypocritical if she didn't give them a chance at the therapy session, either.
But, during the therapy session, even though everyone was trying their best, it just didn't...seem like anything was progressing through. If anything, it was becoming both boring and awkward, especially since they started to roleplay with different, made-up scenarios...which started becoming more confusing with each scenario played.
For instance, everyone else was watching Hassleberry and Chazz's turns as they tried to resolve with a peaceful solution...which wasn't working.
"It's. A. Simple. Handshake! Come on!" complained Syrus. "I know you two can do it! Come on! Just one handshake!"
Instead of doing as Syrus said, Hassleberry instead scowled at Chazz and, to further provoke him, spat at his face. Anger slowly rising as he wiped the spit from his forehead, Chazz growled slowly, "Did you...just spit on me?"
"You stole my fried shrimp yesterday."
"We dueled for it! It wasn't stealing if I won fair and square!"
"You also insulted my dinos!"
"Because you kept making stupid dinosaur puns!"
Crowler and Bonaparte looked back and forth between Chazz and Hassleberry, scratching their heads in confusion. "...How did this escalate from a supposed peace treaty to an argument between fried shrimps and dinosaurs?" questioned Bonaparte.
"At this point, it's probably best to stop questioning these supernatural things," sighed Crowler, remember the event with the Shadow Riders from last year, especially with the vampire, Camula.
"B-But there was nothing supernatural in that conversation!"
"Jaden, this isn't getting us anywhere," said Elize, turning to him. "I thought we were here to discuss about our feelings regarding about the whole Society issue, not some...roleplay or whatever this is!"
Jaden sighed, understanding her point. "Yeah, you're right. I'm kinda not cut out for organizing these sort of things...Well, let's just say we were warming up, but now, we'll start talking."
"Okay, I can behind that."
From there on, the group all started revising their memories of all of the events ever since the Society of Light was formed. Upon speaking their feelings and thoughts at the time, it truly did feel as though something was finally moving ahead. At least, until there was beginning to grow less emphasis on the negativity towards the Society as Jaden tried to lighten the mood by commenting on how fun the duels were, and both Bonaparte and Crowler commenting on how they even helped arrange some of the duels. Elize understood that lighting the mood was a good thing, but in a situation like this, it seemed like they should be focused more on the dark reality more than just easing their minds.
'Oh, who am I kidding. This was probably a bad idea from the start, anyways. Me and probably Chazz are the only ones taking this seriously,' Elize thought, glancing over at Chazz with an exasperated look on her face.
"Jeez, how much longer is this?" complained Chazz loudly. "I know I agreed with this, but it doesn't feel like we're getting anywhere with this!"
"Yeah, I have to agree," spoke up Elize. "Guys, I'm sorry...but I don't think this whole therapy thing is working out..."
"Well, not with that attitude!" Jaden chimed in.
"Attitude isn't the problem-well, maybe it is, but just a little," admitted Elize, thinking back on Aster. "It's cooperation and a good relationship with communication that we need more between us. And lately, you haven't proven to be capable of that!"
"That's a little harsh," stated Hassleberry, winching.
"You didn't look out for your friends, you didn't face much of the Society members, and now, thanks to you idiots, we didn't find out about Sartorious having a deadly weapon that could kill us all!" spat Elize. "Yes, 'a little harsh' definitely describes our issue!"
"...Are you being sarcastic or-"
"YES! I'm both scared and confused as to why Sartorious hasn't activated that weapon if he already has it? He could wipe out any of his enemies, and last time I checked, we are his enemies!"
"But he didn't activate it!" Bonaparte reminded. "If he had, you'd think the rest of us would still be standing around, alive? Maybe that means he doesn't really have it!"
"I checked in with Prince Ojin's secretary, Miss Linda, and I'm pretty certain she wouldn't lie about this sort of thing," informed Elize.
"Besides, that satellite cannon is definitely real! They made a public announcement claiming it was property from Midgarth, remember?" said Syrus.
"What are we going to do, then?!" shrieked Crowler, panicking. "We stand no chance against such a powerful force like the satellite cannon!"
Elize sighed. "I don't think I should be telling you all this yet, but lately, me and Aster have been forming plans as to take down the Society with a smaller but powerful force. One of the plans might ultimately end up being that we barge into the White Dorms."
"What?! Absolutely no! That would be suicide!" Crowler said. "If you run off now, you'll doom us all!"
"Well, we can't just let the Society continue brainwashing people!" argued Elize. "We need to recruit more trustworthy people and we need to bring the fight to them!"
"Why can't we just wait for the Society members to graduate? Or more specifically, Sartorious?" questioned Bonaparte. "Yeah...yeah! That's right! We could give him an early diploma and send him off his merry way! And since his Society members are practically loyal to him, they'll follow him wherever he goes!"
"And no more White Dorm nor White members! Ooh! I just wish I came up with this idea!" said Crowler.
"That'll be worst!" shouted Elize. "If that happens, there's no way to prevent the Society from gathering more members after their leader graduates and explores more of the world! They'll only gather more stronger duelists in both name and number! Jeez, don't you think about these sort of things?!"
"So, you're suggesting that we try and take down the Society with a small force, like we have right now?" questioned Crowler, placing his hands on his hips. "Well, we might as well walk up their front doors and ask to be brainwashed instead if that's the case! Honestly, don't you have a much more clever plan than this? This plan sounds like something only barbarians would agree on!"
"I don't have all the answers, Professor-"
"DR. Crowler!"
"That doesn't matter! And anyways, at least we're trying to do something, rather than just stand around and watching everything that's happening!" Elize pointed out.
Jaden tried to calm Elize down by gently saying, "Alright, Elize, just take a deep breath and calm down..."
"Er...technically, we've come across some Society members and dueled them back to normal-AND, this was during the tournament," addressed Hassleberry truthfully, worried that she was going to blow up on them yet again for not doing anything.
"I'm not talking about you guys this time," Elize said, turning her frustrated gaze over to Crowler and Bonaparte.
Realizing that both he and Bonaparte were now the main center of attention in Elize's perspective and how she had insulted them, Crowler gasped and placed a hand over his chest. "Excuse moi?! Were you actually accusing me what you just insinuated just now?!"
"Noooo…" Elize dragged out, shaking her head before sharpening her gaze. "I'm accusing both you AND Bonaparte!"
Bonaparte got angry and spoke up. "How dare you?! All this year, we've been trying to increase Duel Academy's reputation and increase the potential of students here!"
"Yeah, but how exactly does that help fight against the Society of Light?" questioned Chazz. "You guys were in charge before Sheppard came back, but you sure did a piss-poor job at commanding this school."
Hassleberry nodded. "Yeah, you were pretty much licking off Sartorius' boots and maybe a bit of Aster's just to save face. That's kinda just...sad, man."
"How dare you?!" shrieked Crowler, stomping his foot childishly. "I will not stand here and be mocked any further! As your teacher, I demand that you show me some respect! I'll have you know that I've been doing everything I can to keep the students safe, in my own way!"
"Hey, calm down-" started Jaden.
"Which is it, Crowler?!" demanded Elize, no longer using honorifics towards her teacher. "Do you really care about the students, or your own reputation? Did you really teach at Duel Academy to help students become better students, or did you just do it for your own egotistical self?!"
"W-What does that have to do with anything?!" questioned Crowler, startled.
"Do I even have to spell it out for you?" snarled the young girl with the red hat. "No wonder everything's been a huge mess since the beginning of this year! No, maybe even before! Hmm...let's list off the extremely large problems that you and Bonaparte have completely failed to address and/or ignored! One, you obviously favored the Obelisk Blues better than the Slifer Reds and all you did was try to bully and oppress the Slifer Reds, only because of the color rank!"
"Yeah, you were really unfair back then," agreed Jaden, nodding his head. "Giving me tons of homework, calling me and my buds 'Slifer Slackers,' you really were kind of a dick."
"Yeah! And he even tried to expel Jaden tons of times!" pointed out Syrus.
"What? I didn't know that!"
"What?!" exclaimed Hassleberry, glaring at Crowler. "How dare you try and expel Sarge?! You really are a dick!"
Having learned that, Elize glared angrily at Crowler right as he was about to open his mouth to protest against the boys, only for him to quickly close it. "I can't believe you! You're just proving my point even more! It doesn't matter what color rank anyone is! You're a teacher! Teachers are supposed to be fair to everyone, but you've proven to be aligned with snooty and rude jerks who aren't really that good at dueling anyways! I know that there are some Obelisk Blues who aren't like that, but I think it's because of your own influence that's making the others worse! You're supposed to help and make the students stronger and smarter, no matter what color rank they're in! You're a teacher, you should have act like one!"
"I-"
"SECOND! You wasted valuable learning time setting up promotional duels with Bonaparte just to increase this school's reputation! Normally, it would be fine, but you only did it to get rid of the Slifer Red Dorms! How much more selfish could you be?! Sure, you managed to stop that stupid project, but that didn't change the fact that you were involved anyways! You being involved in the near destruction of our dorms proves just how much you don't care about us students at all! I mean, did you seriously think we wanted that?! And where were we going to live if you actually destroyed our dorms?! Did you even think that through?!"
"We would have simply moved you to different dorms after getting rid of the Slifer Reds!" said Bonaparte. "You would have been promoted to either Ra Yellows or Obelisk Blues!"
"And what then?! You would probably be after the Ra Yellows next, and then, the school would just be for the Obelisk Blues only!" guessed Elize. "The elites of the elites! The strongest of the strongest! That's probably what you guys were aiming for, right?! You don't even have to answer that; your faces are evident enough!" Everyone turned to see Crowler and Bonapartes' faces gaping during her rant, shocked beyond words. "And three! The Society of Light have been going around, forcing students to join their cult through brainwashing and you two haven't even lifted a single finger to help, not even a little! You just stood by and watched everything happen, hoping that nothing harmful would happen to you two! You two were in charge! You could have done something, but you DIDN'T! So don't you DARE talk to me about respect, because you obviously haven't earned the right to be respected! Or, at least I lost all respect for you and Bonaparte!" Elize finally finished her tirade before taking a deep breath and glaring at them. "You two should have done something to stop the mess we're in, but you were just nothing but stupid, selfish cowards to do anything-"
"ELIZE!" yelled Jaden, stopping her by grabbing her arm, though in a light grip. Elize glanced around her and saw that everyone had grown silent, stunned by her tirade.
Knowing that things weren't going as planned for the therapy session and that probably because of her, the therapy session was ruined, Elize sighed and turned around, gently shaking Jaden's hand off her. "You know what? I'm leaving. This was...this was a terrible idea from the start. And worst of all, I only wasted everyone's time and made things worse."
"Wait!" cried out Syrus, stopping her. "I know that you're not on really good terms with anyone right now, but...isn't there just one good thing you can say to someone around here? Something? ANYTHING?"
Elize paused for a moment, sighed, and turned to Crowler. "During my first year here, I always thought of you as a tyrant. A scary, strict teacher who always had it out on the Slifers and who might expel them for any sort of reason whatsoever. I was terrified of you, because I didn't want to get on your bad side and get expelled. And I'm pretty sure there were plenty of students who felt the same way I did. But at the same time, I respected you, not just because you were a teacher, but because I genuinely thought you had some sort of concern towards all students, even the Slifer Reds, especially from your duel with Camula. Did you know, that when Chancellor Sheppard returned, he gave me a choice of whether or not you and Bonaparte should be fired?"
Bonaparte cried out, "What?! He never told us that!"
"And probably for good reason. And, do you know what I picked? I didn't allow you two to be fired, because I wanted to give you two a chance. I thought, maybe a good scolding will straighten you two up, and that you'll use this chance to make things right. But now, I know the truth." She walked up to Crowler, slowing her steps in a sort of menacing approach. "You're just a stubborn, stupid, cowardly man who only cares about his own reputation and that his genuine concern for the students here are nothing but huge flukes. Bonaparte is the same as you. He may as well be your long-lost brother, and the only main difference between the two of you is your obviously different appearances. If I had to pick between you or Sartorius as my instructor, I'd rather pick Sartorius, because at least he doesn't judge others and cares about his subjects to some extent." Fists clenched at her side, Elize's eyes flashed red before returning back to their forest green color as she tried to calm herself. "...If it was going to end this way...if I knew it would end like this...Then, I should have just let Chancellor Sheppard fire you two."
The others winched at Elize's last choice of words, implicitly it as an insult to Crowler's teacher pride. "Ooh...that's a harsh burn," commented Chazz.
Having said her final piece, Elize turned around once more and said to Jaden, "I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time. I'm sorry, but I need some time alone. Please don't follow me for the rest of today."
"Wait! We still need to come up with a plan!" called out Hassleberry, though he made no efforts to stop Elize from running off.
Jaden turned to Crowler, who was looking down in seemingly shame. "Well...uh...that really didn't go so well, huh?"
"Bah! Who needs her input, anyways?!" scowled Bonaparte, thought there was a hint of hurt in his face.
"...She's right, though," spoke Crowler quietly, walking away.
"Wait, where are you going?" asked Chazz.
Crowler paused, but he didn't turn around. "Back to my quarters. I'm a failure of a teacher, and, according to the harsh truth spoken just now, a failure of a human being. Like her, I, too, need some time alone."
As Crowler walked away to a different direction, Bonaparte followed after him. "Wait for me!"
With three people gone, it was only Jaden, Hassleberry, Chazz, and Syrus remaining, and the tension in the air was so awkward, one could cut through the air with a knife. "...Goddamnit, we're just running into one problem and another," complained Hassleberry.
"The problem isn't just us or them," stated Chazz. "Technically, even though we're working together, we're just not...working together."
"Yeah, that's super confusing. Care to elaborate?" asked Syrus.
"What I mean is, there's no trust! Yeah, we're working against the same enemy, but unless we trust each other and come up with a plan soon, we're not going to stand a chance against Sartorious and his massive cult army."
"Yeah, I know," agreed Jaden. "But there's so much tension between us that even though we're working together, I feel like we're more like enemies than friends and all! I get why, though, and this is because of me."
"No, Jay, this was my fault, too," said Syrus.
"And mine, as well!" agreed Hassleberry.
"Alright, alright, we can all agree that it was thanks to you three that started this whole fiasco," said Chazz. "But now, we need a better and new idea to get everyone to cooperate, and it's becoming a lot harder than I thought..."
Later...
"Honestly, what was I thinking?!" muttered Elize, stomping down the docks. "What's wrong with me lately?! What's wrong with everyone?! Ugh, it's all so frustrating!"
"Then, perhaps you need a bit of entertainment to cheer you up!~"
"Hmm?" Elize looked up and saw Pegasus up ahead, cheerfully waving at her with a bright, childish expression on his face. "Mr. Pegasus...? It's nice to see you again, but may I ask what you're doing here?"
"Certainly! I merely came here for a meeting with Chancellor Sheppard! Of course, beforehand, I had an interesting three-way duel with two of your professors, that er...Oh! Yes! I believe their names were Crowler and Bonaparte!" explained Pegasus. "They thought they were fired before, so I told them that if they dueled and won against me, I would hire them!"
Elize groaned, shaking her head in disappointment. "Of course they would do that..."
"But, they lost in the end. But, since they showed great potential, I was about to hire them when Chancellor Sheppard came along and cleared up the misunderstanding that they were fired from the start! So, since they technically weren't fired, I took back their job resumes! Ohohohoho!~"
Elize sweatdropped. "O-Okay, I guess...?"
"But what seems to be the issue with you, my dear sweet Elize-gal?"
"I'm just...I'm just not having a very good day, that's all."
"Well, we can fix that right up with a good ol' duel!" suggested Pegasus, taking out his duel disk.
"Wait, a duel? Right now?" wondered Elize, surprised. "But aren't you a very busy man, Mr. Pegasus? Also, you're not exactly a participant of the Genex Tournament...are you?"
"Well, first off, I do have some time, and that last duel with your professors hasn't quite satisfied my thrill a lot! And second, no, I'm not a participant, but I do so wish I could duel any of the students here! Well, you'd have to do for now, so why not? You'd get to have a once-in-a-lifetime duel with yours truly, and I get to finally see what Duel Academy's all about! A win-win situation for both of us!"
'...Well, I do need something to relax my nerves and distract my mind a bit, so why not?' thought Elize to herself before activating her duel disk. "Alright, Mr. Pegasus! It'll be an honor!"
"Excellent! Let the fun begin!"
"DUEL!"
- DUEL -
Elize - 4000 LP
VS
Pegasus - 4000 LP
"I shall allow you to go first, Elize-gal!" offered Pegasus.
Elize nodded. "Okay! Then, I draw! I set two cards facedown and then set a Monster facedown before ending my turn!"
"Hmm...I'll have to be quite careful, don't I? I draw!" Pegasus said. "Ooh! How lucky of me! I activate the Spell card, Toon Table of Contents, allowing me to add a card with 'Toon' in its name! And now, I shall activate the Continuous Spell, Toon Kingdom to the field! But, in order to first activate it, I must remove the top five cards from my deck from play! And now, since Toon Kingdom is in play, it's treated as 'Toon World!' I assume that you know what that means, don't you, Elize-gal?"
"I think so...From what I remember, you're famous for always using Toon World to summon your powerful and one-of-a-kind Toon Monsters."
"Excellent! Yes, quite right! Now, which of my beloved Toon Monsters shall I summon?~ Hmm...Ooh! How perfect! I summon forth Toon Masked Sorcerer to the field!"
Toon Masked Sorcerer - (DARK/Spellcaster/Toon) - LV4 - (900/1400)
"The downside effect of my dear Toon Monster is that whether he's Normal, Flipped, or Special Summoned, he cannot attack this turn."
"Then, are you using him as a Tribute Summon next turn or something?" wondered Elize.
"Well, you're close, but no," said Pegasus, wagging his finger. "Now, let me show you why you're wrong! I'm about to Special Summon a very special Toon, but in order for me to do so, it requires at least 1 Tribute! And now, I Tribute Toon Masked Sorcerer to Special Summon Toon Dark Magician Girl!~"
Toon Dark Magician Girl - (DARK/Spellcaster/Toon) - LV6 - (2000/1700)
"Oh! Okay!" said Elize.
Pegasus frowned, being surprised by her somewhat nonchalant reaction. "You know, I was expecting you to squeal and be all dazzled at my fabulous Toon Dark Magician Girl, considering she is quite popular!~"
"Er...I'm really not in the mood to do so," admitted Elize. "Besides, I have a Dark Magician Girl of my own."
"Ooh?! Really? Show me!" encouraged Pegasus.
"...Mr. Pegasus, I can't summon her, she's not in my hand right now. And besides, it's not even my turn."
"Oh, nonsense! I'm the creator of Duel Monsters, so technically, I can make an exception of the rules!" said Pegasus. "Show me your deck! I want to see for myself!"
"Mr. Pegasus, I'm pretty sure I'll be disqualified automatically if I do that!" said Elize. "Except for card effects, I'm not allowed to do that! My duel disk won't let me!"
Pegasus pouted, crossing his arms. "Kaiba-boy and his technology...he can be so unfair sometimes! Just like all our previous 'dates!'"
"...What."
"Oh, nothing! But, I'm sure sometime this duel, you'll show me Dark Magician Girl, and I can't wait!~" said Pegasus. "But first, I activate the Spell, Mystical Space Typhoon, which will allow me to destroy one Spell/Trap on your field! Hmm...this is quite the interesting game...you have two facedowns, but I have to destroy only one...I believe I'll choose...the one on the right!"
At Pegasus' command, a gust of wind flipped over Elize's right facedown card, revealing it to be the Trap card, Draining Shield.
"Ah! And my luck precedes me once more! Now, I attack and activate Toon Dark Magician Girl's special ability! If you don't control a Toon Monster and I do, she can attack you directly! Toon Dark Magic Attack!"
"I activate my other facedown card!" Elize shouted. "Zero Gravity! This changes all face-up Monsters' battle positions! So, your Toon Monster is switched into Defense Mode!"
"Phooey!" pouted Pegasus before flipping his hair back. "Oh, well!~ I end my turn with a set card!"
"My move!" Elize said. "I activate the Equip Spell, Scroll of Bewitchment, and equip it onto Toon Dark Magician Girl! Now, I can change her Attribute, and I choose WATER!"
"Why go so far for that?" wondered Pegasus.
"You'll see right now! I now Flip Summon Eria the Water Charmer!"
Eria the Water Charmer - (WATER/Spellcaster) - LV3 - (500/1500)
"And her Flip effect is that as long as she's out on the field, she can control a Monster with a WATER Attribute! So, I'll control Toon Dark Magician Girl!"
"Oh, no!" cried out Pegasus, watching as his precious Toon Monster switched sides. "Now I'm defenseless!"
"Toon Dark Magician Girl! Eria! Both of you attack him directly!" ordered Elize.
With their combined elemental spells of darkness and water, the two female Duel Monsters unleashed a devastating blast of darkness-infused water at Pegasus.

Pegasus - 1500 LP
Elize glanced down at the remaining cards in her hand and thought, 'I don't really have anything to defend Eria except...well, Mr. Pegasus might be able to summon a Monster strong enough to take down Eria or at least try to attack my Life Points again. But if he destroys Eria, then he'll regain Toon Dark Magician Girl, and I'll be in a bigger disadvantage! So, it's probably best to get rid of the Toon version I control!'
"...I sacrifice Toon Dark Magician Girl to Tribute Summon Dark Magician Girl!"
Dark Magician Girl - (DARK/Spellcaster) - LV6 - (2000/1700)
"Ooh! It's true! You truly did have-Hold on! You said before you didn't have Dark Magician Girl!" accused Pegasus, placing his hands on his hips.
"Technically, she was the card that I drew this turn," said Elize.
"Well, it wouldn't matter, because you made a huge mistake! I activate my facedown card, Toon Briefcase! As long as I have Toon World on the field, and if you Normal Summoned a Monster, then that Monster returns to your deck! It's a shame for your Dark Magician Girl, but I personally think my Toon version of her is cuter!~"
Dark Magician Girl panicked as a toon version of a briefcase swallowed her whole before spitting her out in the form of a ball of light, sending her packing back to Elize's deck as her duel disk then shuffled her deck automatically.
"I...I end my turn," sighed Elize, seeing as there was nothing else to do.
"You may have dealt a heavy amount of damage to me last turn, but I'll return the favor soon enough!" said Pegasus. "I draw! And now I'll end this duel! I activate the Spell, Monster Reborn to revive my dear Toon Dark Magician Girl!"
Toon Dark Magician Girl - (DARK/Spellcaster/Toon) - LV6 - (2000/1700)
"And now, I activate the Equip Spell, Megamorph! This allows my Toon's original Attack Points to be doubled if my Life Points are lower than yours! And since her Attack Points are 2000, well..you do the math!"
Toon Dark Magician Girl - (DARK/Spellcaster/Toon) - LV6 - (4000/1700)
"What?!" exclaimed Elize.
"Now, Toon Dark Magician Girl! Attack her directly and finish this duel!"
Toon Dark Magician Girl went all-out in firing her special Dark Magic Attack, sending Elize flying before she landed on her back from the magical blast.

Winner: Pegasus
Pegasus walked over to Elize, offering his hand as she was getting up from her fall. "Thank you," she spoked quietly, taking his hand as he helped her up.
"You were indeed good, Elize-gal, but...I feel like that truly wasn't your best," he said, having observed her throughout the duel instead of just flamboyantly bragging about his Toon Monsters.
Elize sighed and placed a hand on her head. "Yes, you may be right, Mr. Pegasus...I'm sorry if I didn't make this a very satisfying duel for you, it's just that...I'm...really not having a good day today. I mean, I don't mean to be critical of anyone, and I wouldn't normally judge people, but lately...I feel like everyone's being a constant disappointment to me, even my friends..."
"Ah, friendship problems," said Pegasus. "I can understand friends having their downfalls and fallouts, but despite how cruel that may be, friendships can't always be perfect. Sometimes, there must be problems addressed between friends that can help them resolve and grow a stronger bond with each other. For instance, take me and Yugi-boy!~ Me and him had a rough start, but we're friends now! And Kaiba-boy and I-well, he may deny it all he wants, but I can tell he and I are very close friends!"
Elize may not know that well between Seto Kaiba and Pegasus, but even a novice would know that they do not get along like peas in a pod. If anything, Seto Kaiba and Yugi Muto would have a much stronger bond than the "bond" between Kaiba and Pegasus.
"Yeah, but this is kinda different with my situation," admitted Elize. "And the worst part? I...I think I may have broken off our friendship. I said some really horrible things, and even though they were all true, it still hurt to see everyone's expressions. I'm...I'm not normally one to hurt people. I just wish they'd be more smarter and cooperative."
"Well, I'm not one to be particularly fond with serious business," said Pegasus. "But, as cruel as this may sound, sometimes it is necessary to hurt your friends. I'm not saying it's a good thing to hurt your friends, but to do so in a manner that's right would mean that you're leading them to the right path."
"So...in order to set them straight, I have to hurt them?" wondered Elize. "But, wouldn't it be better if I set them straight without hurting them?"
"That would be most ideal, yes, but sometimes, hurting them teaches them a lesson. What if you witnessed a friend's family member die right before your eyes? Do you just lie about that to your friend? Or tell them the truth?"
"That's pretty cold...but, I guess the only proper way would be to tell them the truth."
Pegasus nodded. "I agree. It's better to tell the truth than just lie about it. It's like ripping off a bandage. It'll hurt, but the pain will fade away, though I'm not sure that's a very appropriate example. Now, do you understand?"
"A bit...I'm still mad at my friends, but I guess it's not entirely their fault...I should have tried harder."
"We all make mistakes, Elize-gal, and through them, we learn and try our best not to repeat those mistakes." Pegasus let out a sigh and smiled. "Well, I believe that's enough drama for now! Now, I know that you weren't feeling all that well during our duel, but you really should have tried harder! You're real lucky that I wasn't a participant in the Genex Tournament, otherwise, you would have been forced to give up your medals! I suppose you'll straighten up and try harder, correct?"
"I'll try, Mr. Pegasus," promised Elize, feeling a little bit better about herself. She watched as Pegasus took off in his private helicopter and contemplated what to do. Right now, she was too stressed and still a bit mad at the others to talk to them, but thanks to her chat with Pegasus, she understood a few things about friendship that made her sympathize a bit with her...former ones.

"Mistress Doriado! What should we do?! I felt that deep, dark power rising within Elize once again!" shouted Aussa.
"Yeah, there's no doubt that that power's grown again and it's going to keep growing stronger and stronger each day," said Hiita. "Shouldn't we commence the 'plan' with Elize yet? It should be easier now that that power isn't released yet!"
Eria said, "Look, I hate what's happening to Elize just as much as everyone else, but we did promise to at least wait it out. Let her live her life, let her get married, have kids, and then, poof! Commence the plan!"
"I think we'll have to reschedule that idea," commented Aussa. "The rate that hidden power is growing...it was supposed to be very slow, like, a snail's speed slow. But, it's processing much faster than we anticipated the more negativity Elize shows. We have to continue telling her to calm down."
"Eventually, she's going to grow suspicious," said Dharc. "Can't we just tell her the truth? It'll be easier for her to deal with the heartbreak now than later."
"We already talked about this," Aussa sighed. "There's a good chance she'll grow afraid of us and grow unpredictable out of her own fear. If we tell her the truth, we're forced to tell her the plan as well."
"Humans...always so unpredictable and selfish at times," spat Hiita. "Just like the other human owners that had us!"
"I don't want to hear anymore of the past from you, Hiita," said Eria. "Our former owners were filth and threw us away because we were 'weak.' It's a nice change to finally have a nice owner for the past 9 years."
"Only because we were given to Elize as a birthday gift on her 5th birthday were we forced to play nice!"
"Enough!" scolded Doriado. "I understand your increasing frustration, but soon, we will be laid to rest once we commence the plan. That is the spiritual law and price to pay for the...plan. So, hold your tongues and allow Elize to live her life. If need be, we will...resort to the plan earlier than anticipated."
"It's always just us," commented Dharc. "Why not let in Wynn and Lyna on our plans?"
"They're too sympathetic towards humans, and because of that, we can't risk them giving into their emotions and telling Elize the plan," reminded Aussa. "I know the others have grown suspicious, but we did tell them a...mild version of the plan."
"But in short, we're still lying to everyone and giving them the lying, harmless version of what's to happen to Elize once the plan commences when the time comes, right?" said Eria.
"Correct. All for the sake of the Spirit World and the Duel Spirits within," said Doriado before sensing something. "Ah...It appears Neos is arriving shortly."
"Neos? Elemental Hero Neos? One of Jaden's Monsters?" questioned Eria.
"Correct." A bright light flashed before the Charmers and Doriado's eyes before the Elemental Hero presented himself. "Ah, Neos...It is a pleasure to see you again. May I ask what you're doing here?"
"I apologize if I'm interrupting something," said Neos. "But I wish to talk about your owner, Elize Simington, about a rather concerning issue."
"Yes, I'm aware of what you want to talk about," said Doriado. "But may I hear your thoughts first?"
"Of course. I was concerned when I sense something stirring within young Elize. It was a...malicious force. Something very dangerous that was very small, but I can tell that it was growing in time. It happened when I saw her eyes flash red, a rather unusual but noticeable sign. Do you know more about this?"
"Neos, I do appreciate your concern but we have everything under control. In fact, our powers are helping contain that evil force within Elize."
"You cannot get rid of that force?" questioned Neos.
Doriado shook her head. "If we could, we would have done so long ago, but all we could do is stall it and weaken that power. But, rest assured that we can handle it and that we have a plan, but it takes a lot of effort and time to commence the plan. Once that is done, the process will be...successful."
Neos relaxed. "I see. That is good news. I apologize for interrupting you and-"
"No, your concern is very welcoming, but rest assured that we can take care of this issue ourselves."
"I see. I will leave you and your students alone, then."
After Neos left in a literal flash, Hiita sighed. "That was WAY too close!"
"Relax! Mistress Doriado had everything under control!" said Aussa. "But will we truly be alright? With the pace that that dark power is going-"
"We will be fine," said Doriado. "Once all calms down, everything will be alright..."
It was a great callback for Pegasus to return, and we get to see him duel one more time in GX! One thing I loved about GX was that it took place 10 years after the first Yu-Gi-Oh series, so in a way, it felt like the continuation of the first series!
And before you say anything, yes, I can tell some of you are getting real sick and tired of Elize's rants and her attitude, but you have to remember that she's growing up. Sure, she'll still have her polite and shy personality, but she's growing older, she's growing up, and so, she'll become a lot more braver in the future, just like right now. And, that also includes her speaking her mind, and in this case, she doesn't merely rant because she wants to be annoying, but because she wants to speak her mind and do what's right.
Personally, I liked the episode, but at the same time, I was annoyed by it. Crowler and Bonaparte not being properly punished was also addressed in this episode despite all the terrible and selfish things they've done, but in this story, I'm making them pay for what they've done. I used the idea of the therapy session to help the characters understand each other more while also trying to stick to their personalities. But, the main reason why I did so was to build more character development as well, especially towards Crowler.
In Seasons 2 and 3, I felt like he didn't really do much. Like, he was just...there. Yeah, he dueled a few times, and yeah, he did act as some sort of support during Season 3, but I felt like he was still somewhat of a coward. Same thing with Bonaparte, though I think he's a little worse than Crowler, and that's saying A LOT considering what Crowler used to be during the first half of the first season. That got me thinking, how could a strict, feminine-looking teacher be so cowardly, and yet still have some character development during the final, fourth season of the series? Especially with his final duel with Jaden?
So, to start more of his character development, I decided to use this opportunity within this episode to mature a bit more of Crowler's character. I felt annoyed and a little disgusted in this episode that Crowler and Bonaparte were still trying to raise the school's reputation and just ignoring the whole Society problem. I get trying to raise the reputation is somewhat good, but there's a time and place for everything, and their first priority should have been the remaining students' safety and trying to get rid of the Society of Light even before Sheppard came.
What Elize was doing wasn't just a rant, but telling them off with her own feelings, expressing her disappointment and disgust and lack of respect towards them for very good reasons. They were the adults, the ones in charge, and yet they did nothing. Granted, it could be argued that they couldn't stand up to the force of the Society, but at the very least, they should have tried something.
So, yeah, Elize's words are going to grow a big impact on Crowler's character. I didn't do too much on Bonaparte because I barely know the guy, except he has a son named Maurice, I think. If I knew more about him, I would have further expanded his character more.
And yes, I had Elize duel Pegasus, and I had her lose, because technically, Pegasus is a very skilled duelist, up to the rank of the Pros, and I can't have her winning every single duel despite her being the main character of the story. Elize needs to experience loss in order to grow as well. It also helps that her talk with Pegasus will also help her grow as well.
Yes, there is something suspicious going on with Elize's Duel Spirits, but while there has been some answers, only more questions will rise and they will be answered throughout the story! With that said, read and review!
