Misty's POV
Wow. I didn't think she could defeat Gyarados. I'm also not sure why I used him. I never use him on beginning trainers. Well, I'm glad I did because I got to see what type of person Aurora is. I like her. I'm glad she's traveling with Dillon. Hm. I see Dillon has a Pikachu. Hah. That's just like Ash. He wants to battle Politoed, so here we go.
I summon Politoed, and Dillon, of course, chooses his Pikachu named Pika. If the last battle taught me anything, it's that type advantages mean nothing. "Water pulse!"
"Dodge and use thunderbolt!" Wow. That Pikachu sure is fast. Not as fast as Ash's though.
"Dodge and hit it with a supersonic!" Politoed is able to avoid the thunderbolt and he stays on the platform to avoid the aftershocks in the water. His supersonic confuses Pika.
"Pika! Jump in the water!" What? Why are they doing that? Pika somehow hears this and manages to get in the water. Well, that's where we perform best.
"Dive and hit it with a water pulse!" I command Politoed. He dives into the water and sends a powerful water pulse towards Pika.
"Thunderbolt!" Dillon commands. Wait. Pika doesn't look confused anymore. Oh no. The water snapped him out of it. It's too late as the whole pool erupts in electricity and Politoed floats up unconscious. Luckily, Pika was still hit by the water pulse. It pulls itself up to the platform looking very tired.
I return Politoed and smile. Well, Dillon got his revenge after years of torment. Haha. "Starmie! I choose you!" My faithful purple star comes out and lands on a platform.
[I'M TIRED OF WRITING BATTLE SCENES, SO, AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED, I'VE SKIPPED A COUPLE. THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN HERE.]
No POV
Both Pika and Starmie faint at the same time after an intense battle. Misty is down to 1 pokemon while Dillon still has 2. Due to Coal being a fire type, Dillon chooses Persian. Misty had a pokeball in her hand when Psyduck summoned himself. Since Persian only knows physical attacks, and Psyduck has a big head, the duck pokemon's headache caused a confusion attack enough to knock out Persian. Dillon brings out Coal thinking this will be an easy end. Psyduck doesn't know how to swim, and he's tired from his headache.
"Coal, scratch!"
"Psyduck!" Misty has no idea what to do. Psyduck doesn't know any attacks, and he can't swim. "Fight!" is all the woman can say to the duck. Out of fear, Psyduck falls backwards off the platform and into the water before Coal can hit him. Coal and everyone watch as the duck flails in the water. Misty sighs. "Okay-" She starts to say.
"BOOM!" A heavy gray tank breaks through the roof. Misty falls into the pool as she was leaning over it to rescue Psyduck.
"Fuck!" Dillon exclaims as he dives into the pool towards Misty.
"Mom!" Amy yells and jumps over the railing into the pool as well. Coal hops off the platform as the tank crashes into the pool.
"We need to help!" Aurora exclaims. Granite nods. Aurora's pokemon are all exhausted from her gym battle. Pika and Persian are also out. Granite's pokemon are weak to the water, so he'll have to be careful. Dillon emerges from the water hoisting Misty out of the pool near Coal while Amy gets Psyduck.
"What's going on?" Misty yells. As the tank turns towards Misty, the group notices a giant red R on its side.
"Team Rocket!" Granite announces. In the window, sits the grunt Chaz. He speaks into the microphone.
"Hahahahaha! Now that your pokemon are weak from the gym battle, I will take them from you!" He laughs.
Misty glares at the man and gets ready to get up when Dillon pushes her down. "I got this, mom." He says. "Coal, flamethrower!" The fire lizard's flame doesn't do much damage to the tank in the water.
"Earthquake!" Dillon hears Granite command. Torkoal's attack shakes the whole gym, and water splashes everywhere. Misty manages to return Psyduck while Dillon holds Amy and Misty.
"I need Sandshrew!" Dillon yells up to Granite. The man nods and releases Sandshrew next to Dillon. "Sorry, Coal. This is for your own safety." He says as he returns the golden lizard. He then looks up at Aurora who looks scared but at least isn't cowering in fear.
"Aurora!" He yells, which snaps her attention to him. He nods and she nods back.
"Thunderbolt!" She orders her tired Pachirisu. The attack is enough with the help of the splashing water to blow up the machine and Chaz goes blasting off again. To avoid the shock, Dillon, Amy, and Misty stayed close to Sandshrew who used a protect around them. Pachirisu faints from the attack, as it was all she had left in her, and the gym is destroyed.
Misty sighs. "Well, I guess I'll have to have pokemon battles outside again." she mumbles while standing up.
"Are you okay?" Amy asks worriedly. "Is the baby okay?" Aurora and Granite make it over to them at this point.
"Baby?" Granite questions. Aurora is just as surprised.
"Yes. We're both fine." Misty says while putting a hand on her stomach.
Dillon stands up while Granite returns Sandshrew. "That's good." He says before looking at Aurora. "Good job, Lightfield." He smirks.
She smiles back while handing him a tired Pika. "You said I'm strong."
Misty smiles at the two friends. "Well, Dillon. Here is your Cascade Badge." she hands him the badge. He looks at it confused.
"I didn't win."
"You would've won. Psyduck can't swim."
"Team Rocket interrupted us. I want to battle Gyarados during our rematch." Dillon tells her as he puts his hands in his pocket. "I'll come challenge you later."
Misty smiles and puts the badge back in her pocket. "I look forward to it."
