Two days had passed. Courtney had gotten in yesterday. Already PJ appreciated how much she was helping. It was around five o'clock in the afternoon when PJ got home from work.
"Girls?" PJ called.
"We're in the kitchen PJ." Courtney said. She went into the kitchen. "Hi."
"Hi."
"How was work?"
"Good."
"Aunt Courtney's making a frozen lasagna." Jennifer said.
"Alex gets home at six right?" Courtney asked.
"Yeah."
"Good." "Dinner should be ready about ten minutes after he gets here."
"I'm gonna do some laundry."
"I can do that."
"So can I."
An hour later Alex came home. He went into the kitchen.
"Alex will you please tell your stubborn wife to go sit down?" Courtney said.
"I can make a salad." PJ said.
"PJ." Alex went over to her. "Sweetie go sit down."
She rolled her eyes. "Alex."
"Sweetie please, for me.".
"Fine."
Three weeks later Courtney took the girls to the zoo. PJ had just woken up from a nap in the bedroom.
"Alex." She called.
"Yeah sweetie." He said coming into the room.
"Are Courtney and the girls gone?"
"They left about ten minutes ago."
"Come here."
"Ok." He laid down next to her.
"You look very sexy right now." She kissed him. He kissed her back. She started to undo his jeans. He broke the kiss.
"Sweetie stop."
"We haven't for a long time Alex."
"I know." "I just, I'm worried because of what happened." "I'm worried we'll hurt the babies." "I want you, I do but...
"Alex, it's fine, I promise." "Come here." They kissed.
Later that night the girls were in bed and Courtney was out. PJ's cell phone rang. After the call she went into the kitchen where Alex was.
"Alex I just got off the phone with the prosecuting attorney." She said. "Randy was sentenced today."
"What did he get?"
"Fifty years." "Thirty for one count." "Ten each for the other two." "I can't believe it." "I finally feel like it's over." She smiled and hugged him.
"I'm so proud of you for helping put him away." "I love you."
"I love you too." They kissed.
