—Preparation for the battle in the asteroid belt had been completed as they were halfway there when a surprise came up—
Riker: Hey Carr I heard they have an order for you, it came straight from earth, don't keep your present waiting.
Carr: Wait what, from home?
Riker: Thats right it's in the hangar.
Carr: Wait what?
—They all walk to the hangar and low and behold, was Gundam Kimaris Vidar, a Gundam that served the Bauduin line for generations after Gaelio gave it up after having his type e Alaya Vijnyana removed from his body—
Riker: So wait, your telling me your family was the bloodline that took down McGillis Fareeds rebellion in the years post disaster?
Carr: Apparently, I think this thing is an antique though, no one has been able to move it after it had its type E removed and was placed in storage along with Eins brain being removed.
Riker: We can change that today, Sayla you up for the challenge?
—Sayla looks at the Kimaris Vidar and smiles proudly—
Sayla: Any day of the week I'd take this kind of challenge.
—They get to work and the basics of the suit work, the only issue was its movement beyond the normal controls—
Carr: I still can't believe Dad allowed me to use this, it's a relic, a symbol of our family.
Riker: So how far down the family tree are you from Hero, Gaelio Bauduin?
Carr: About 10 generations which should be about at least 400 years give or take based on age when the parent decided to have children.
Riker: Tell me do you like classical music?
Carr: What kind.
Riker: Like you know Wagner, Mozart music like that.
Carr: Generally, but I have mixed taste where as my mother likes classical and she also likes playing it as well.
—They continue to stare at Kimaris Vidar and finally decide to stop staring at it and look at the weapons it has preinstalled into it—
Riker: Two machine guns and a molecular accelerator or railgun in the lance itself, a katana made out of the same material the Frame is made of, two drill ports in the knees to stop grappling and the lance itself is also a drill.
Carr: Is it really that well armed?
Riker: According to its preset load out yeah, but where is the ammunition for the molecular accelerator is stored, it's got me slightly confused...
Carr: Don't worry about it, we will cross that bridge when we get there. Also I believe it can carry an extra 110 mm rifle.
—They arrives at the thrust shut off point and they drift towards the asteroid belt with no heat signature and jamming was already set up in place for the attack—
Sayla: I got it moving, Carr get in here.
—Carr gets in and finds out the controls are very easy and then he finds out where the ammunition for the molecular accelerator is stored—
Riker: So the ammunition for that molecular accelerator is in the shoulder pieces? Well whoever came up with that was clever but didn't know the danger of the shoulder piece being pierced and the ammo exploding.
Carr: Well remember the Nano-Laminate armor is not effected by beam attacks, only by physical attacks. But even so, you can still get microwaved to death.
—The Kimaris Vidar was readied for the next battle after Carr was able to move it and the Delta Plus was given to Wedge in which he customized it to Carr's liking, Riker returned to his room to see Sarah sleeping and smiled—
Riker: I guess it's good to nap as our next battle will be against the aces of Mulungu.
—Riker moves to the computer where he plugs Athena in—
Riker: Athena, I think we should create a battle plan and present it to General Jackson, I believe that we can outsmart and out play them at their own game if we know how to do it. So what does the environment look like?
Athena: Lots of asteroids around the A section of the Asteroid field, consisting of Large and Small asteroids, Expected to have heavy fortifications and the mobile suits will use hit and run tactics.
Riker: So we will have to sniff them out and hunt them down even quicker. Anything else?
Athena: They are using the asteroid Colony X9245MD-44 as a stronghold there will be very few ships but approximately 20 squadrons of high performance machines and mobile armors are expected to appear on the battlefield. The Gadelaza is the size of a corvette but requires the control of an innovade or an innovator.
Riker: Thats right, using mobile armors reduces the amount of men needed for a defense but makes it just as effective.
—The plan is approved and then presented to the team in which all ops are open and that all members are allowed to if possible to capture a GN drive based mobile suit, they are to split into two groups the normal squadron stays and is the defensive line between the ships and the aces while the 3 ace squadrons are the offensive line where they will draw out and destroy any and all mobile suits that attack them, as well as destroy any and all defensive weapons systems—
Carr: I feel nervous being the one who is going to carry the X-Ray device to support the marines. What if I mess up?
Riker: No worries you will be able to do it, after all, we just need 1 photograph, transmit it then we can just dump it. Although I do hate to put you on the spot, it's just that the Kimaris Vidar is a much higher performance machine than mine, and can quickly outmaneuver enemies and at the same time defeat them at any range. Although you may want to tune that railgun.
—They continue to chat about the operation until Alex walks in—
Alex: Riker I need to borrow you for a minute.
Riker: Doable, see you later.
—They wall to the medical section of the ship and then Alex speaks up—
Alex: I did more research on your team, it turns out Carr is an innovator, of pure blood of course if he got his hands on a twin drive solar furnace mobile suit he would probably awaken, and guess what, you are a coordinator.
Riker: But that doesn't make sense, neither of my parents were coordinators.
Alex: Don't worry about it, it explains your tendencies to want to modify and enhance your equipment, this leads me to add that Sarah is a New Type, if she got her hands on an NT-D system she would be unstoppable but at this point it's impossible and the machine she uses wouldn't be able to take the stress of using psycho frames. Frank is also a New Type as well.
Riker: How did we get so lucky to have two innovators aboard this ship, something like this is extremely rare.
—They finish the conversation and he heads back to his room, and stops by Carr's room first—
Riker: Hey Carr, can we talk?
Carr: Sure thing come on in.
—Riker comes in and has a seat at the desk—
Riker: Alex says that your a pure blood innovator, and I assume it was probably there from the start.
Carr: Huh, didn't know that, I wonder what would happen if I got my hands on two of the original solar furnaces and connected them to the Kimaris Vidar.
Riker: We could ask around someone has to have them, besides celestial being that is, and besides the TGN drives won't make your abilities activate because they are not original Solar Furnaces.
Carr: I can pull some strings someone had to know something, lots of people would love to have royalty owe them something, although I would hate to do it in this way but we have no choice do we?
Riker: No other choices, anyways I'm going to rest up, the battle operation is tomorrow and I don't want to be sluggish on the battlefield.
—Riker returns to his room and falls asleep to the sound of the hum of the engines—
