They weren't that far from Cybertron when they were attacked again. The Decepticons didn't hold back this time and attacked them with the full force of the Titan's weapons. Naturally the Endeavor held its own, but both ships were heavily damaged in the fight and they crashed down miles apart onto a large moon. Charger and Sunburn gave each other a knowing look as Prowl ordered the Autobots to mobilize.

"It's time to go hunting for spies," said Sunburn over a private comm to Charger.

"Happy hunting," said Charger as he headed in the opposite direction.

Data was staying with Prowl who would remain on the ship so he was covered, but with the ship emptying that would open up a chance for sabotage. Charger and Sunburn had been entrusted with the task of hunting the saboteurs down.

Surprisingly the Decepticons still had a combiner. Skyfall had heard one of the Autobots call it Fatalis, but she wondered if she misheard. Who would name themselves fatalistic?

"Let's go!" cried Skydive excitedly. The other winged femmes shook their head at her enthusiasm and then transformed into their combined form.

"We need a name," said Skydive. "Everyone else's combiner has a name. How about Sky?" The others were too busy concentrating to argue with her as they swooped from the air barreling into Fatalis and sending him flying.

UV ran for his life through the battlefield dropping the small explosives that Mercury had given him at determined intervals. Anyone seeing him on the battlefield would have thought he was a coward dodging around and away from any opponents, but instead he was setting up the trap they had planned. Every time he dropped another explosive his load got easier to bare and that wasn't just figuratively. It made him extremely nervous to be carrying so many explosives. One lucky shot from a Decepticon would light him up like a star.

Stealth and Mirage were still on the Decepticon ship and after searching the ship and releasing a few prisoners, they set off the bombs they had planted in the ship's fuel containers and hightailed it out of there. There was a pretty explosion that engulfed the Titan as it exploded.

Back on the Endeavor, Charger and Sunburn brought the chips they had removed from the offlined spies to the med bay in order to see if they could find out what damage they had caused so they could reverse it.

The Sky combiner had successfully brought down Fatalis, but they were currently grappling with Shockwave's digger. It looked like a long snake with multiple moving saw blades along its length and head. Sky was taking a lot of damage as they attempted to restrain it.

Hyperfall and his team combined and attacked the Decepticons in their combiner form from behind. Whole swaths were crushed and disintegrated before they left to help the Sky combiner with the digger. However they had successfully completed their initial purpose of herding the Decepticons forward.

Cascade joined the fight from the air, but she was also randomly lifting Autobots to safety and moving them back behind an area where she felt they'd survive. While they hadn't told the other Autobots what they were planning, it wasn't difficult to keep track of them as the Decepticons were clearly aiming for the Endeavor.

Suddenly Hyperfall gave the signal and the flyers broke apart and headed toward the ship. They picked up any Autobots they spotted on the way. Hyperfall warned Prowl to pull his forces back as field explosion was imminent and Prowl had no choice but to comply. Hyperfall's combiner picked up the driller and hefted it into the middle of the field squashing some Cons as he did so. They then ran out of range of the field as it ignited. Explosion after explosion caught the Decepticons in its grasp.

"You really outdid yourself," said Hyperfall to Mercury.

"Ah, beautiful," said Mercury admiring his handiwork.

The driller curled around Shockwave and the Decepticon command staff on the field in order to protect them. Pieces of the driller went flying everywhere as it detonated.

Hyperfall's combiner disbanded so FireSky could join the femmes and other flyers in shooting down the remaining airborne Cons.

"Slag," said Chaosbreaker examining the field. The Decepticon command was still online, but they were sitting in a perfect bullseye ringed by parts of the offline digger. There was also a bot that didn't look like he belonged there as well. "Wait, is that UV?" he asked suddenly.

UV had been trapped in with the Decepticons when the digger was thrown. For some reason he had not escaped like planned. It was more like the battlefield was unpredictable and he just hadn't made it. He recklessly fired on the Cons knowing his life was forfeit anyway, but choosing to go down fighting. A blast from Soundwave snuffed out his spark. Megatron roared meaningless threats while urging the remaining Decepticons to attack.

"I got this," said Cascade over the comm as she sped through the air passing far overhead.

"What are you doing?" called Hyperfall with a sinking feeling.

"Oblivion," said Cascade. She angled downward her form becoming sleeker and more angular. She turned and dove straight down landing smack dab in the middle of the remaining Decepticons. The impact broke the surface of the moon for miles and the area around Megatron and his Decepticons essentially vaporized.

There was no time to grieve for those that were lost. The Autobots routed the rest of the Decepticons and those unlucky enough to be captured by the less calm Autobots didn't survive to be taken prisoner. Once what remained of the Titan and the Cons were thoroughly investigated, the Autobots headed back to their ship. Megatron and his command crew were finally destroyed. They had even scanned below the surface to make sure, but the scans turned up no life signals. There were also too many parts found for them to have survived and that made many of the Autobot's relieved. They wouldn't have to expect them suddenly reappearing sometime in the future. Hyperfall paused over the impact crater before he headed back to the ship. He wanted to pay his last respects to Cascade. She had taken the win again, but at the cost of herself. There were several long cracks radiating off the impact crater and that's when he heard a faint noise. It didn't sound like rocks falling instead it sounded like it was caused by something mechanical. He activated his blaster and followed his audios. The sounds were coming from a crack to his right. The crack thinned as he got closer to the end, but he could still see below. Something was buried and it was definitely a Cybertronian, but whatever it was it was small. It was all silver and while it couldn't have been a mini-bot as it was probably half the size, it was still bigger than a cassette. It was still partially buried under the moon's dirt, but appeared to be digging itself out.

"I have you in my sights," said Hyperfall loudly. "Identify yourself!"

The noise stopped as the Cybertronian looked up. It had a tiny visor over its optics. "Hyperfall?" it said.

"It can't be," said Hyperfall going to his knees as he recognized the voice.

"Ratchet!" yelled Hyperfall as he came barreling into the med bay carrying a small metal being.

"What?" snapped Ratchet. While the injuries had been fewer for this battle, the ones that had been sustained were far more serious. Ratchet had been working non-stop since they crashed and he wasn't in the mood for theatrics.

Hyperfall placed the small Cybertronian on an open berth and Ratchet walked over to see what was going on. Ratchet blinked his optics and then blinked again. "This isn't," he started.

"I told him I was fine Ratchet," said the Cybertronian on the berth. "He won't listen to me."

Ratchet couldn't speak for a moment. The Cybertronian in front of him was small. She'd barely come up over Bumblebee's knees. She was still bigger than a cassette, but not by much. She no longer had wings on her form and it looked like she no longer had an alt mode. "Cascade," said Ratchet softly as he automatically ran a scan. "None of my scans ever indicated that you had yet another form under your smallest form."

"That's what I'm saying," said a flabbergasted Hyperfall. "How are you even online right now?"

"When I was created, I was originally a grounder because my small stature would attract less attention, but then I was given the upgrades to fly," said Cascade. "They must have thought that it would allow me to escape or reach you all faster in order to repair you. I was the last created so I guess they learned as they went along. Before I impacted the field and set off all the explosives I had with me, I elongated my armor and compressed my real body into a compact protected impact resistant chamber. You wouldn't have seen it. It was very small. It broke off after the impact and flew down one of the cracks that was produced when I hit. Did we win?"

Hyperfall burst into laughter. "Yes, we won. The ship is nearly repaired and we'll be heading to Cybertron soon."

"That's all good then," said Cascade relaxing on the berth.

"How is she Ratchet?" asked Hyperfall directing his attention to the hovering medic.

"She's low on energon and she damaged a joint in her shoulder probably from the impact so she'll be staying here for a while," he said. "I can't start on that until she's cleaned up though. Wait here for a moment. You," he said pointing at Hyperfall. "Make sure she stays."

Hyperfall sent her the file of Autobots that were lost in the battle. "UV didn't make it," he said solemnly. "He gets the credit for decimating the Decepticon ranks. His job had the most risk, but he bravely went down fighting."

"I saw it," said Cascade nodding her head. "It's what made me use Oblivion. I needed this to finally end." While Cascade vaguely knew some of the Autobots on the list of the dead, some had been Elite Guard as well so she wasn't that familiar with them. "What happened with WestWind, Data and Charger?"

"Data took a shot meant to offline Prowl," said Hyperfall. "I'm sure he'd rationalize his actions by saying that Prowl was needed in this war if we weren't successful. It was a brave sacrifice. WestWind succumbed to the damage that the driller did to their Sky combiner form, but they did successfully take down Fatalis permanently before that and protected numerous troops from the driller's blades. Naturally this affected the others badly and FireSky has chosen to join their group in order to retain the pentad."

Cascade raised an eye ridge in question.

"Apparently he can bond to them like a brother," said Hyperfall. "They don't see him romantically and vice versa. Besides, he told me that there are still plenty of flyers left on Cybertron and now he has four sisters that can introduce him. He's ever the opportunist, but I think it's for the best because if they do ever combine again, now they have someone to lead them who has more experience. Charger was hunting spies on the ship with Sunburn and they caught and offlined quite a few, but Charger went onto the battlefield after his sweep and he wasn't lucky. He served the Autobot cause proudly till the end."

"I'm sorry," said Cascade meeting his gaze. "Things will be changing for your team now."

"I'm adaptive," said Hyperfall shrugging it off. "Sunburn and Stealth are the only ones from Switch's original team that are left. Stealth is with Spec Ops permanently now. He was responsible for the explosion on the Titan. Sunburn will remain on my team in place of FireSky. Though FireSky will still lead his new team in collaboration with mine."

"Even after everything that happened in this battle, this war isn't over yet," said Cascade venting softly.

"There are still pockets of Decepticons out there, but we will find them," said Hyperfall in agreement. "There is also still one more pillar to locate. Pivot thinks it may have been lost like ours was." Hyperfall stopped suddenly as he got a comm. "I have to go," he said. "I'm glad you survived even if you are so very very small now."

Cascade glared at his back as he quickly left the med bay laughing.

Jolt came in next and quickly came over with a cube of energon for her. She quickly drank it relieved as her energy levels came back up. Jolt merely stood by her silently. He still looked shocked like he couldn't believe she was really there.

"What's wrong?" she asked as she put the empty cube aside.

"I was worried," said Jolt finally. "Worried that I'd never get a chance to speak to you again. You saved me and you practically built this body and yet there was nothing left to salvage after you destroyed the Cons. I never had the chance to return the favor. I didn't, I couldn't believe Ratchet when he said you were still online. I saw you hit the ground and knew there was no way you could have survived. The Cons were practically vaporized. I confirmed the remaining debris myself. When Ratchet told me to go to you, I thought it was a cruel joke until I saw you myself."

Cascade put her hand on his arm and patted it reassuringly. "I'm sorry for distressing you, but I did what I had to do in order to end this war. The scenarios we ran through in the simulations put the war lasting millennium. Every battle, more and more comrades were lost. I, no, we couldn't accept that. I guess you can call it the impatience of the young." She gave him a small smile.

"Ratchet sent me to get you cleaned up," said Jolt picking her up gently. "It'll be easier for him to work on your joint if you're not caked in dirt."

"I can walk," said Cascade pouting.

"Perhaps," said Jolt smirking. "But it's Ratchet's orders."

Cascade was practically comatose in Jolt's arms in the wash racks. It felt good to be rid of all the dirt that had gotten stuck in her gears while she was trying to dig herself out of the soil. She was still too out of it to really help him clean her so she simply let him do it and moved when he asked. After Jolt scrubbed the dirt from her frame, he took her into the soaking pool to make sure it was all gone. Much to her embarrassment, he had to hold her because the pool was too deep for her to stand in. Cascade leaned back against him and enjoyed the relaxing sensation of the cleaning solution. She didn't like being so small, but she could easily get used to being pampered.

The door to the wash racks opened and Prowl walked in. He was covered in some sort of blue slime like substance.

"Ooh," said Cascade wincing. "I would have thought it was still too early after the battle for pranks. Did the twins get you?"

"No," said Prowl as he nodded his acknowledgement. "I happened to walk into Wheeljack's lab at an inopportune time. I suppose it could have been worse and at least he said it should wash right off." He promptly stepped under the shower and the slimed oozed off of him splattering onto the ground in sickening plops. Finished with his rinse, Prowl joined them in the pool. "I am sorry about Data," he said.

"No need for condolences," said Cascade quickly. "He was part of Switch's original group, but with Switch gone he was able to make his own decisions instead of being controlled. He chose you over himself because he knew that to win this war you were far more necessary. He didn't offline in vain. Even with Megatron gone, this war is still not over and we will need you in the days to come."

"I will endeavor to be worthy of the chance I've been granted," said Prowl.

"You already are," said Cascade smiling sadly. "Keep doing what you're doing. We can ask nothing more of you and know that you do not do this alone for we are all behind you."

"I am glad that you didn't offline," said Prowl sincerely.

"Me too," agreed Cascade as Jolt shifted behind her. She turned her head to look at him. "To Ratchet?"

"To Ratchet," said Jolt picking her up and leaving the soaking tub.

"You'll have to excuse us," said Cascade from his arms. "Apparently I have to see Ratchet about a joint."
