Pidge brought up the star map, circling everybody on the bridge of the castle. Then pressed different locations. "He fought us her, his generals were here, and he stole the comet here."
Lance shook his head. "So, Lotor could be anywhere."
Shiro folds his arms. "We'll never be able to find him unless we can figure out his plan. We're missing the big picture."
Pidge gazed at the spot where they had fought Lotor's generals. "How about this question? Why was Voltron made out of the same material as the comet? What's so special about it?"
Allura lowered her gaze to the floor. "My father discovered another comet before I was born."
Coran looked at her. "Your father ... and Zarkon." He started.
Hunk frowned. "This is back when Zarkon was the Black Lion's Paladin?"
Coran turned to him. "Before that. Before Alfor built the Lions."
Shiro turned to him. "I know this is painful to talk about, but if we're going to stop Lotor, it's time we heard the rest of the story."
Coran swallowed hard, but nodded. "In the beginning, the Paladins were just five leaders, who, despite coming from cultures which were vastly divergent, and in some cases had been warring for generations, managed to look past their differences in an effort to protect their common interests. What was initially a formal agreement to work alongside each other soon blossomed into a true friendship. A warrior's bond was forged, and together they worked to rid their system of those who would do it harm."
"The original Paladins were Zarkon of Planet Daibazaal, Alfor of Planet Altea, Gyrgan from Rygnirath, Trigel of the Dalterion Belt, and Blaytz from Nalquod. They could have never known that that very night, the fate of the universe would be changed forever."
"King Alfor experimented on the comet's ore in his lab on Altea, as Honerva continued her research of the rift on Daibazaal." Coran continued. "But Alfor visited often as the years passed."
"King Alfor and Honerva erected a particle barrier around the crater containing the creatures, but it wouldn't hold forever."
"Honerva continued her experiments on the rift. Despite their differences, Zarkon and Alfor, along with the other paladins, established a new era of peace and prosperity. It was an age of exploration, and Voltron became known as the Defender of the Universe, establishing the legend that would live on to this day."
"Alfor's compassion for his old comrade blinded him to Zarkon's true plans."
"Zarkon's attempt to save Honerva was in vain. They both succumbed to overexposure of quintessence. The Paladins had been deceived by Zarkon. They had unwittingly enlarged the rift, which further destabilized planet Daibazaal. King Alfor was forced to evacuate the planet. He then closed the rift the only way he knew how—by destroying the Galran homeworld. King Alfor held a state funeral for Zarkon and Honerva in his royal hall. But what happened next, he could never have guessed."
"Zarkon had become pure evil, obsessed only with quintessence. In order to open a new rift between the realities, he needed Voltron. And so the war began. The Galra immediately responded to their leader and attacked. The peaceful planets of our system were not prepared. Soon they had all fallen except for Altea. In a final attempt to keep Voltron from Zarkon's hands, the Lions were sent to the far corners of the universe. Zarkon flew into a rage. He killed King Alfor, then avenged the loss of Daibazaal with the destruction of Altea."
Team Voltron stood around Coran on the bridge. Minus Celestia, she had not been in the bridge during Coran's history story.
"So that's Lotor's plan." Pidge gazed at the Altean. "To cross into other universes and get the purest quintessence possible!"
"No matter what, we have to stop him." Keith added.
As the team exited, Shiro stopped and turned back around when Coran called to him.
The Black Paladin walked over to the Altean. "What is it?"

Celestia sat in her room, hugging a pillow to her chest, her gaze is lost in thought.
A knock on her door, had her blinking back into focus and she turned to the door. "Come in."
The door slid open to reveal Shiro walking in, he stayed by the door.
"Shiro." Celestia straightened up. "How can I help you?"
"Coran told me what Zarkon did to you." He told her gently, causing her to hug her pillow tightly. "When he started to get corrupted."
"Why did Coran tell you, and not Keith?"
"I asked him that." Shiro gave a nod. "It was the way I acted yesterday."
Tears slid down her cheeks. "Are you going to tell Keith?" She asked as she looks down at her lap.
Shiro walks over to her, then sit down in a chair. "It's not my secret. But I know what it's like bare a painful secret from those you love." He gently placed his human hand on her shoulder. "Princess, what happened to you was not your fault." He said gently. "He over powered and overwhelmed you."
She slowly nods, and he stands up to leave. She looks up as he walks away. "Shiro."
He stops at the door and turns back around.
"What do you mean that you hold a painful secret?"
Shiro walked back over to her. "Back on Earth, before all of this. I was sick, there was an infection in my hand." He explained as he looked down at his cyborg hand, making a fist. "I kept the secret from both Piper and Keith. One day Keith found out about it and told Piper. Both of them were not happy at me for a long time."
Celestia looked down at her lap again, Shiro placed his human hand on her shoulder again.
"It makes me happy to know that Keith has someone like you he can really trust." He told her with a smile. "I know he's not easy to get along with. But he has a good heart, he's special."
She half smiled. "You're like his brother. Keith really looks up to you." She finally turn her face to his.
"Keith was Pidge's age when his father was killed, sometime after that, I found him. Brought him over to live with me Piper."

Keith sat in his room, studying his blade as he held it in his hands. He looks up when there's a knock. "Yeah?"
The door slides open to reveal Celestia walking in and the door slides closed. "I would like to talk to you, if I may."
He puts his blade down. "Of course we can talk."
She walks over to him and sits sides ways on his lap, his arms wrap around her waist as she snuggles into him. "I should start when Zarkon started to get corrupted and just go from there."
Keith frowns. "Ok. But we now know the whole story." His frown deepened when he felt her shake her head against his chest and she clung to him tighter. "Baby, what happened?"
Celestia took a deep breath.
