Caught At JB's Part 1
"He and Veronica went to JB's." Liam answered Lisa.
Lisa started looking through her backpack.
"Why did you ask that, Lisa, and what are you looking for anyway?" Carole asked.
"Oh man! It's gone!" Lisa exclaimed.
Liam and Carole stood up from the couch.
"What's the matter, Lisa?" Liam asked.
"It's the fifty dollar JB's gift card Max gave me as a reward! I can't find it!" Lisa answered Liam in a panic.
"Hang on! Liam! Didn't you say that Veronica and Rafael were going to JB's?" Carole asked.
"Yes I did, Carole," Liam replied. "why do you ask?"
"Uh-oh!" Carole exclaimed.
Lisa was now shocked.
"It was probably Veronica who took my gift card!" Lisa exclaimed.
Liam gave Lisa a look of uncertainty.
"Do you have any proof that Veronica took it, Lisa?" Liam asked.
Lisa shot Liam a look of annoyance.
"Do you see my gift card in my bag, Liam?" Lisa asked.
