The Creeveys

Dennis, Amy, Leah, Olivia, and Andrew

1) Dennis graduated from Hogwarts in 2002. His whole family was shaken by Colin's death, but in the months that followed Dennis knew that no matter what he belonged in the magical world - it was his identity, one his brother and friends had fought for. His parents on the other hand were very resistant, his mother in particular adamantly trying to shelter him back into being her baby.

2) After graduating, Dennis spent the rest of the year in France, and upon his return he applied to the Auror training program. He was accepted as part of only the third training class since the end of the War. Finishing three years later, Dennis' first major assignment was to spend 6 months living in America with his work partner, learning about a new surveillance system that their government/Auror office had developed. Weeks into his stay, he met a witch called Amy and - perhaps against his best logical judgment - asked her out. After Dennis returned to England they maintained a long-distance relationship.

3) Kaitlyn Amy Clark, an adventurous witch from the American south who was working post-graduation for a magazine the capital city, fell hard and fast for Dennis. She loved him, and held no qualms about moving to the UK to be with him. However, she knew her conservative parents would disapprove of her "following" a boyfriend across the world, and so after about a year of trans-Atlantic dating she and Dennis began discussing engagement. Dennis proposed a few months later, when he visited her over the winter holiday for her twentieth birthday. By the following summer the two had a little red-brick cottage in the English countryside.

4) Amy and Dennis were married in early 2009, and had a rather-unexpected honeymoon pregnancy.

5) Leah Creevey made her grand entrance that November, and grew into an inquisitive, well-spoken young lady with a streak of daring. The latter trait led her to be captain of the Gryffindor air-racing team during her Hogwarts days, while the formers helped her be chosen as a house prefect. In appearance, she is a miniature of Amy, with blonde hair and blue eyes and a smattering of freckles.

6) Olivia is one year behind her sister, and is chatty and energetic. The sassy middle child of the family, she looks almost identical to her sister, only with her father's brown eyes and wild blond curls. Libby was an enthusiastic gymnast during her childhood, and in her upper years at Hogwarts helped found the Acrobatics Club which mixed her childhood pastime with magical influences. Nowadays, she has followed in her mother's footsteps as a journalist, but also works a side job coaching at a local sports facility.

7) The youngest Creevey is Andrew, who goes by Drew. Growing up, he loved hearing stories of his mother's youth and adolescence in America, as well as his father's childhood stories from before he knew what magic was. In fact, young Drew learned all he could about "American" or "muggle" things, from peanut butter sandwiches and iced tea to playing baseball during primary school and getting a muggle tattoo when he got older. Drew was a Gryffindor who played beater on the Quidditch team, and a stellar student with a knack for arithmancy.

8) Dennis' parents were doubtful of his life for a long time. They had trusted the magical world with their boys and been hurt, then been "defied" by Dennis when he returned to Hogwarts and then chose join the Aurors. They thought he was just rebelling against them, running off to France then America, and then bringing home a foreign girl to marry; they thought they were being indulgent while Dennis made his own decisions and mistakes, only to find that years had passed and their remaining little boy was now grown into a good man and father. Dennis never doubted that his parents loved him, nor that they believed in him, but they never seemed to quite believe him - "You can do anything you set your mind to" only goes so far when your family can't accept your goals and choices. It wasn't until his own children were born that this parent-child relationship began to be repaired.

9) For the birth of each of the Creevey kids, Mrs. Clark spent about a month in England to be with her daughter and son-in-law; she and Dennis actually get along quite well. Amy's parents end up making a trip across the pond annually, and Amy and Dennis and the children do the same when they can. Visits with "Gramme and Pops" are a big favorite among Leah, Libby, and Drew.

10) The Creevey family's other favorite family vacation destinations are places with historical muggle-magical overlap - so far they have been to New Orleans, Venice and Rome, and Angkor, and are hoping to add to that list.
