Chapter 26: Try to not to show your feeling too much

XxX At Starbucks….

Both groups looked at each other in surprise. "So why are you guys here again?" Asked Lisanna.

"I told you, Loki dragged us here, he said he wanted to try some new kind of drink they have" Explained Gray.

Lucy looked around and saw that Loki was the register ordering something. "Ahh ok that makes sense" Said Mira is a cheery tone.

Lucy decided to try and distract herself by looking at her phone, since she couldn't really face Natsu right now. Her mind was flooding with thoughts about gym class, and she just didn't want her emotions to spin out of control.

"Hey Lucy" Said Lisanna. Lucy looked up.

"Huh?" said Lucy.

"Are you going to order something?" Asked Lisanna.

She thought for a moment. "I'm not sure" Said Lucy.

"Well that's fine, I just want you to keep me company while I stand in line" Said Lisanna.

"Oh alright" Said Lucy.

They walk over and get into line, leaving the two groups. "So we told you why we're, now it's your turn to tell us why you are here" Said Gray.

"Ohhh, who said that we have to tell you why we came here?" Said Levy.

Mira laughed at what Levy said. "Levy, were you trying to act tough?" Asked Mira.

"No…did it seem that way?" She asked.

Mira continued to laugh. "You know what? I don't want to know anymore" Said Gray.

"Wise choice" Said Erza.

"Anyways I think we'll be leaving now; it looks like Loki has gotten his drink" said Sting.

"Hey guys check this out!" Said Loki as he walked over with his drink. They all turned to look at Loki as he was approaching with his drink. "What is that?" Asked Natsu.

"It's the new double chocolate mocha caramel latte with extra whipped cream and even more caramel" said Loki.

"I don't know how you can drink that" Said Sting.

"Yeah I'm with Sting on this, it looks like it has a lot of sugar in it" Said Gray.

"Well no one is telling you to drink it, stop judging my taste" Said Loki.

"Well lets go" Said Gray. They all said their goodbyes and left. It was now just the girls.

Mira, levy, Erza, and Juvia found a spot for all of them to sit, and Lisanna and Lucy had gotten their drinks and were now making their way over.

"So, where should we start?" Asked Erza.

"Ok so we know that this sleep over is happening on Friday, and its at Lucy's place, do you want to do something after school?" Asked Levy.

"Something as in go somewhere?" Asked Mira. Levy nodded. "Is there any place you guys want to go to?" Asked Lucy.

"Oh I know! How about we go and do an escape room? I have always wanted to do one" Said Lisanna.

They were all silent for a moment. "Actually I also wanted to do one" Said Juvia.

"Really?" Asked Lisanna.

Juvia nodded, "It might not look like it but I do enjoy activities with friends" explained Juvia. They all sat there looking at Juvia. "Ok then….are the rest of you ok with an escape room?" Asked Lucy.

"Yes I am fine with it, besides as long as we beat the others nothing matters!" Said Erza.

"Uh Erza, it's an escape room, not a competition" said Levy. "

That, does not matter, all that matters is that we come out victorious!" Erza said in an overly prideful voice. The girls chatted about their plans for another 30 minuets or so and then made their way home.

Lucy decided to stop by the convenience store on her way back. "I should probably go grocery shopping instead if going to the convenience store so often" She thought. Once she had finished picking out what she was going to get, she made her way towards the cash.

After she left the convenience store, she slowly made her way home. Her mind was filled with thoughts about everything that happened these past few days. The incident with her parents was really worrying her. Will she really be able to live alone for another three weeks?

Then there was also trying to figure out a schedule for her life, how will she balance school and her part time job while her parents are gone.

She was going to have to work more since she will be supporting herself for a bit. And lastly…she was confused about Natsu's confession, her worn feelings towards him, and how she should give him and answer.

"I'm so tired" Said Lucy as she slowly walks.

It seemed that Lucy had slowed her pace down and was also most swaying from side to side.

"What?" She thought.

She stopped and took a deep breath. "Ok I feel a bit better…I I didn't realise just how tired I am…maybe I'm a bit too worried over everything" She thought.

She started to walk again, only to feel dizzy and her vision was becoming fuzzy...

"Huh?" She thought.

The last thing Lucy saw as her eyes were closing was a figure approaching and then fainted.

XxX 30 minutes later….

Lucy woke up with a horrible headache. It took her a second to come to and realize that she was lying down on someone's couch. Lucy sat up quickly and looked around the room.

"What does this place look…. familiar?" She said quietly.

"Oh you're awake" Said a voice.

Lucy looks over to her left and see's Natsu as he was leaving the kitchen carrying a glass of water.

"Natsu…. what happened?" Lucy asked.

"You fainted on the sidewalk" Said Natsu.

"Oh I see" Lucy said back.

"Yeah, I had just parted ways with Gray at the intersection and was walking towards my house as I saw you slowly walking." He explained.

"I was going to catch up and say hi, but then I noticed you stop suddenly, and when you tried to walk again, you lost your balance and started to fall. I Ran and caught you just in time" he said.

Lucy sat and listened to Natsu explain the whole situation. "As I said, after I had caught you I kinda panicked and didn't know what to do, but then I thought that it would be best for you to lie down, so I carried you to my place, since it was a little closer than your place" Natsu said.

"I see, thank you Natsu" said Lucy. She tried to show a small smile, as she did not want to worry him.

"Are you sure you're all right? I mean, who knows what could have happened if I wasn't there" he said.

Lucy thought for a moment.

"He's right…..where would I be now if I had just collapsed on the sidewalk?" She thought.

"Here, drink some water" He said as he handed her the glass he had been holding. She took a sip.

"I'm….sorry" Said Lucy.

Natsu looked at her in confusion. "What are you apologizing for?" He asked.

"I caused unnecessary trouble for you, and myself" She said.

"Well there's no need to apologize for something you can't control, besides, I don't mind helping you when I can" he said.

Those words made Lucy feel better. "By the way…has something been bothering you lately? I mean for the past couple of days you've seen to be worried over something" Explained Natsu.

Lucy fell silent. Natsu noticed this and spoke up. "Actually, I noticed when we walked to school together, and even during class" He said.

"Shoot! Was I too careless and let my emotions and worry show?" Thought Lucy.

Lucy smiled and said" It's nothing important".

Natsu was not convinced. "Really? Cause I know for a fact that normal people don't just faint, unless they undergo a great amount of stress" He said.

"Should I tell him?" she thought.

"I have been staying up late studying, that's why I was tired and passed out" said Lucy.

She lied, she knew that now was not the time to tell Natsu about her family situation, what's more, Natsu was still waiting for her response to his confession.

"Alright but promise me that you'll tell me about it eventually" He said. Lucy nodded.

"Well I Should get going" She said as she stood up from the couch slowly.

She walked over to the door and got her things, Natsu walked over and opened the door for her.

"Thanks Natsu, see you tomorrow" Lucy said, after that she walked out the door.
