They would find the tomb. Late one day while the sun sank, they uncovered the steps to a tomb. They'd found the position the week prior, but sifting through the endless sands would take more time. Hired help was sent out, courtesy of KC, and Seto arranged to arrive in two weeks time to follow.

"Kaiba, I don't know your reasoning behind finding your past life's tomb, but I feel as if it would be better if I joined you." Said Atem, sitting across from the CEO in his office. Kaiba had seen him out of respect, but in reality he didn't want to hear what the Pharaoh had to say. He'd been unable to curb Bakura's behavior in any real sense, and now he wanted in on what the blue eyed man was planning? No thanks.

"I don't need your help. Flynn has it handled."

"Anything to do with the Millenium items should have to do with me." Said Yami.

"That's not how it works." Growled Kaiba, blue eyes flashing in irritation. "Bakura has tormented her for years and you've allowed it. As far as I'm concerned you are no better than Bakura."

"Kaiba I had no choice. Doctor Howards was very tight lipped about everything until now… you don't blame Ryou for Bakura's behavior, do you?"

Kaiba was quiet, shuffling his papers around before replying. "No… all the same I don't owe you any explanations. Flynn and I will handle it."

"I beg you to see differently. Seth was my advisor… My most loyal of Priests, and my cousin. Upon his awakening he'll be looking for a familiar face. He'll know hers."

Sharp red met cool blue.

"You think he'll behave like Bakura."

"I think he spent a lot of years in pain I could not ease. A lifetime of love and longing for someone he'd never see again. He may lash out. I don't want her hurt. Neither do you."

Kaiba thought about it for a long moment. Atem was right, and honestly he'd thought about that. Unsure of how best to protect Flynn should his darker half's longing be too much for either of them to handle. Odion would be there, but so would the Millenium Rod. Perhaps it was best to bring the former King.

"Alright." Said Kaiba slowly, taking Atem by surprise.

"You can come. We leave in two weeks. Meet me at this address. I'll let you know the time." Kaiba scanned his form.

"Flynn would advise you to leave the leather here."

Atem smirked and took the sticky note the brunet offered. "I think I know how to dress for home."

Bakura had been quiet. Kaiba had been sure to keep a sharp eye on the Thief and on Flynn's home. Roland took regular strolls over to the property to ensure it was still locked up tight, but Bakura had been with Ryou, looking after Tito.

Nothing had happened to either Kaiba nor to Flynn's home. By most observations it was almost like Bakura was behaving himself.

Kaiba didn't feel that way.

To Kaiba it almost felt like stewing. He knew Flynn sent messages to Tito and Ryou, so they knew she was okay, but that meant Bakura also probably knew she was crawling around in the desert.

When Atem met him for the flight, he'd had the plane searched twice, and had come up empty. Kaiba felt confident when they left for Egypt.

They had GPS coordinates, and Flynn knew they would be arriving within a day, though time was shaky with flying.

He'd also be flying them himself. He didn't trust a pilot to land them in the exact location he wanted.

Everything was perfect when they landed.

Kaiba felt his heart jump when he spotted a familiar figure on the sands, wearing a white linen cloak to protect herself from the hot desert sun. When the sands settled, and the stairs dropped, she ran to him.

Her embrace warmed him from his core. The smell of vanilla and jasmine immediately soothing. His arms wrapped tight around her shoulders and he buried his nose in her hair.

"I missed you." She said into his shirt.

"I missed you too." He replied. And he meant it.

Her lips were chapped from the heat, her face smudged with dirt, and his fingers gently pushed up the glasses to see those beautiful green eyes. They swirled as they stared at him, her pupils widening.

She'd never looked better.

"You look like a man in love." She teased.

He smirked and bent to scoop her up and over his shoulder. She shrieked, her hands coming to cling to him from her now inverted perch. Atem chuckled as the CEO strutted them to her tent, the woman calling her objections.

"Listen love! I know you missed me, much to miss, you know, but there's so much to see-"

"I have only one thing I want to see at this moment, and that's you absolutely nude." Replied the brunet as they ducked inside.

Odion chuckled and Atem smirked as they vanished. "All these years trying to make Kaiba understand destiny, and all it took was a mouthy British woman…" The yami looked at the tanned skinned man. "Who knew?"

(~~~~~~~~~~~)

"This is the entrance… and the inscription. You'll have to read it holding the rod, or if you don't feel confident, I can." Said Flynn.

It was dark, the workers all tucked in their tents for the night. Odion was watching at the opening of the tomb, while Kaiba, Atem, and Flynn were inside with torches. The entrance was a wide square room with a door leading further in. They hadn't gone further under Flynn and Odion's advisement. Traps were sure to be laid through the tunnels, and it would be best handled with the help of the owner of the tomb itself. Thermal scans had shown miles and miles of runs and dead ends. Seth's tomb was twice the size of Bakura's, and no doubt twice as dangerous.

"Can you read it, Kaiba?" Asked Atem.

Blue eyes scanned the symbols. He could. Plain as day. His hand around the Millennium rod felt heavy, laced.

"Yes."

"Then let's get started." Said Flynn.

"Not so fast." Every eye turned to see Bakura standing at the entrance of the temple.

"I knew you would find a way to interfere. Be gone." Said Flynn firmly. "I don't even want to know how you got here… use it to return. This is happening."

"I don't listen to the likes of whores."

"Then I suppose it's a good thing I'm not a whore." Flynn smirked and took position between Bakura and the men.

"I've been hiding behind fear for too long Bakura, today I think I'll tend to you myself." She shoved back her cloak and flashed a brand new duel disk, courtesy of her lover. Green and silver adorned the case, with snakes along the brace and between the card lines. Kaiba had been very specific on it's design.

"Atem. Ensure the inscription is finished." Said the woman.

The King nodded. "As you wish, Doctor."

"If you think you even stand a chance you're fooling yourself. Nyfeli couldn't duel." Growled Bakura.

"And what makes you think I'm her?" Asked Flynn with raised brows, slamming her deck in and drawing the field with holograms.

"We've broken this mirror when I birthed your child, Bakura… and with your own interference." She smirked. "Thank you… for saving my life. It's brought me here, and found me love I could never have known without it."

The pinch of anger on Bakura's face gave more response than anything he could have said.

"Let's duel."

Yes, I know it's short, but it's important I promise. The final duel is coming up.

Thank you everyone for your continued support.
