Hi guys! I noticed that a lot of people have been reading this story, and there aren't that many reviews left for each chapter. Please review the story after reading it, so I'll know what you think of it. Remember, it took a lot of effort to create these wonderful stories here on FanFiction.
In the last chapter, the gang must find the remaining snake gems, and return them back to Goddess Wadjet's home. Now, it looks like Malik and his family must face off against a creature threatening to destroy the Pyramid of Giza. Whatever they're facing, they must be careful so no one can get hurt. We also saw Bakura's feelings on the current predicament, and how protective he is of Ryou. But why were two of Bakura's cards glowing when they slipped out of their deck? Guess we'll have to read and find out in this chapter.
"Gravekeeper's Ambusher, attack!"
"Slice it into shreds, Makyura!"
As both monsters attacked Dark Jeroid, the monster loudly screeched and disintegrated into particles. Glancing around to make sure there are no other monsters, Gravekeeper's Ambusher and Makyura the Destructor vanished, going back inside their respective owner's deck.
The spot where Dark Jeroid once was now shows an item resting on the sand, shimmering from the sun's light. Malik took a step forward, but an arm wrapped around his waist from behind stopped him. "I'm just gonna look. No need to hold me back."
Mariku tightened his grip, and brought him closer. "It could be a trap. You must be cautious, hikari."
"I know. I won't touch it or anything. I just need to see what I think it is."
"What do you mean?"
"To me, it looks like one of Goddess Wadjet's snake jewels."
Mariku looked surprised for a moment, but then returned to his solemn expression. "Are you certain? It can't be possible."
"He is correct," Ishizu answered, as she and Odion appeared from their hiding spot. "The snake jewels of Wadjet came out of hiding."
"What!?"
Odion looked at her in disbelief. "How is that possible!?"
Ishizu closed her eyes, as she explained to them the phone call she had gotten earlier, the discovery of the silver snake jewel from Wadjet's temple, Yugi and Ryou's encounter with their ancestors, learning that the snake jewel does not burn them, the gems scattered around and protected by a Ka, finding them, and returning them back to Goddess Wadjet's land.
Finishing her explanation, she opened her eyes and gazed at Odion and Mariku. "They will search for the jewels back in Domino City, and the remaining ones must be here in Cairo. The Ka spirits will help us locate them, and there's a possibility we found one of Wadjet's snake jewels."
"I know it is. Something is telling me its one of the snake jewels protected by Dark Jeroid," Malik said.
Mariku narrowed his eyes. "Why are they revealing themselves now? And how is it possible for a mortal to discover a snake jewel and not get burned by it?"
Odion went over to the object and got a closer look, but at a safe distance. "Ishizu, it is a jewel. Though I am not certain if it really is the serpent goddess's snake gem, or just a regular gem."
"Let me see it. Maybe my monsters will know," Malik got out of Mariku's grip and jogged over to where Odion is. Getting a familiar card out and activating his duel disk, he placed the cart on the slot, summoning Revival Jam. "Revival Jam, does that jewel seem familiar to you?"
Revival Jam glanced at where Malik is pointing at, and got a closer look at the item. Inspecting it, Revival Jam made a gurgling sound and nodded, as it vanished and went inside its card.
Smiling in satisfaction, Malik got closer and slowly reached out to the jewel. As he touched it, he felt a warm sensation spreading throughout his body, causing him to gently pick up the orange jewel and cradle it in his arms. The jewel's orange color reminded him of the evening sky, which is his favorite time. Seeing the sunset or sun rising is something he enjoyed watching.
Holding up the jewel at eye-level, he thought he saw something move inside the snake jewel. Getting a closer look, he nearly yelped when he realized there was a small baby snake inside the gem. However, he didn't feel frightened of it. He felt protective of it, like a parent protecting their child.
He hugged the snake gem, and gently stroked it with his fingertips. "Don't be afraid, little guy. I won't let anyone take you away or anything. You're safe now."
His actions surprised his siblings, since they've never seen Malik act like this before. Mariku went over to Malik, and his eyes widened at what he was holding. "I don't believe it… The orange snake jewel of Wadjet!?" He threw his head back and laughed, causing everyone to shiver at how dark his laugh is. He stopped and grinned devilishly. "So the jewels have made their appearance. They want us to search for them, revealing their true powers to us."
Ishizu joined Odion's side, as she saw the orange snake jewel cradled in Malik's arms. "Brother, do you feel any pain or burning?"
Malik shook his head no. "I am okay, sister. He is not hurting me."
"I beg your pardon?"
"I'm not really sure if it's a boy snake or a girl snake. I'll need to think of a name that suits the little guy until I figure out its gender."
Odion blinked. "There is a snake inside the jewel?"
"And you are not afraid?" Ishizu added, surprised at how calm her brother is.
Malik stroked the orange snake gem. "I actually don't feel scared at all. I feel protective of it. Its like it thinks of me as its parent, and I don't mind at all, which is freaky."
Mariku remembered Namu acting the same to the orange and yellow snake jewels, causing him to chuckle. They were able to sneak through into the pyramids by using the underground tunnels, and when they reached the surface where they resided in the inside of the pyramids, they stumbled upon the creature attacking the Pyramid of Giza: Dark Jeroid. Both him and Malik fought against the monster with their own monsters, and were able to destroy it.
Now, they have the orange snake gem in their possession, and Malik is able to touch it without getting burned. Not only that, he is able to see his lighter half's maternal instincts. He kept to himself that Malik and Namu reveal their motherly side to the jewels than their fatherly side.
"Now that we acquired the orange snake gem, then the yellow snake gem should reveal itself soon."
Ishizu nodded. "You are correct, Mariku. There is a chance another Ka monster will appear in Cairo, so we must be alert."
"We also must keep Malik safe. He is the only one who can touch the snake jewels, which means he inherited the cobra queen's blood," Odion responded.
Mariku frowned at his statement. "Sadly, you have a point. If word gets out that he and the other two are related to their ancestors including Goddess Wadjet, they will be targets to many enemies. No one can ever know about it."
Malik held the snake gem protectively. "No one will dare come near me and the snake gems. My ancestor made sure they were safe, and I will do the same." He gazed at his family. "Sister. Brother. Other me. I'll get stronger and won't let you all down."
His siblings were surprised at his declaration, while Mariku sighed and flicked his forehead, causing Malik to yelp in surprise and rubbed the spot where he flicked it, glaring at him. "Hey! What was that for!?"
"Don't be foolish, hikari. You're already strong enough. You were able to endure your title as heir of the TombKeepers, endured living in the underground, and endured me when I was evil. Do not underestimate your true strength. We're here for you."
"He is right, my brother. We are here for you no matter what situation we're in," Ishizu said. "So please do not think of yourself as weak."
"They are correct. As your brother, I'll be here to protect you no matter what. We will never let you down," Odion replied.
Malik could feel his cheeks heating up, and he cleared his throat. "T-Thank you." He then looked around. "I-I think we should leave this place before it gets dark."
Ishizu checked her phone. "It is close to sunset. Let us hurry and leave so we can reach home safely." She turned to Mariku. "Will you please show us the way out?"
Mariku did a mock bow. "As you wish, sister."
He led them back inside the underground tunnels, taking them outside where the sky had turned a faded blue with orange, yellow, and pink mixed together. To them, the sight is wonderful. They wanted to stay longer, but knew they must return back home before dusk approaches.
While returning back home in their car, Malik held the orange snake jewel safe in his arms, wrapped in a cloth so it wouldn't be seen in public. He didn't notice the orange snake gem glowing, causing a couple of his cards from his deck to glow.
"Again, how did he let you come outside to hang out at the burger shop with us?"
"I told him dat I will cook him his favorite dish if he let me be here."
"His favorite dish?"
"Beef fillet."
"Okay, that sounds pretty tasty."
"Later, we'll go to a barbeque joint."
"I am so in!"
Tea sweat-dropped, and sipped at her drink. "Tell me again why you asked me to come here to Burger World without informing Yugi and the others?"
Joey raised his finger up. "Because this is a private meeting concerning da safety of our pals."
Tristan nodded in agreement with a serious expression. "He's right. We gotta be prepared this time for upcoming danger."
"You mean any duel monsters or snake gems wanting to attack the city and people?" she questioned.
"Exactly!" Joey emphasized. "Our dear pals Yugi and Ryou are able to touch those snake jewels, which means we gotta keep them safe from danger. No one must ever know their true powers."
"Plus, we gotta return them all to their homes, aka the cobra queen's home," Tristan air-quoted.
Tea blinked, but knew they were serious about it. She too is worried for Yugi and Ryou's safety, since there is a possibility they inherited their ancestors' abilities and relation to Goddess Wadjet. The silver snake gem, along with Wadjet's crown and necklace at the museum, surprised everyone, and worried them when Yugi and Ryou fainted from the silver snake gem's powers.
There's a chance Malik inherited the ability to touch Wadjet's snake jewels due to his relation with Namu, and she's hoping Ishizu got the call on time so she, Odion, and Mariku will keep his abilities a secret. Hopefully, the Wasem Clan will help them out since they are Goddess Wadjet's followers, and care for the Ishtar family as their own.
Tea raised her hand. "Quick question, how exactly are we gonna protect our friends? Like you mentioned earlier to Kaiba, danger always follow us around."
"I am glad you asked, Tea. Tristan and I have the perfect solution!" Joey popped a fry in his mouth, chewing it before swallowing. "We disguise them!"
"Disguise them? You mean change their appearance?" Tea arched her eyebrow.
Tristan nodded. "He's right. If they ever have to go out to fight against a Ka and acquire a snake jewel, they must wear a disguise. So that way, no one will figure out who they really are."
"Plus, they'll be safe and no harm will come to them," Joey added.
Tea rested her cheek against her hand. "How exactly are you gonna disguise them? And will Yami or Bakura approve of your idea? Yugi and Ryou will have to agree to it as well."
Joey waved his hand. "Don't worry about it. Tristan and I are great at convincing people. You and Mai will be the ones giving our pals a makeover."
"Wait… Mai is in this as well!? And she's here!?"
"I phoned her to come here and said it was an emergency. She does like to give people makeovers, so I figured the two of you will have plenty of time to do girly stuff while helping Yuge and Ryou get a wardrobe change."
"Does she also-
"I told her about my newfound relationship with Seto Kaiba, and she couldn't believe it and thought I was crazy. But then, she realized I wasn't and was happy for me. I thought my feelings for her would still be there, but not anymore. She's glad I found someone who will treat me right, and is willing to give me advice in case I want to make Kaiba stutter."
"Not at the table, please. I'm eating," Tristan chewed on his burger. "Whatever you and Kaiba do at home is none of our business."
"Agreed," Tea said. "So when will she be here? And what type of disguises are we giving Yugi and Ryou?"
"Mai will be here in an hour. She's coming here from Tokyo," Joey answered. "As for the disguises, you'll have to wait until Mai is here and she can tell you."
"I'm still surprised you thought over this plan a lot, bud," Tristan said.
"He's right. You're definitely concerned over their safety like we are," Tea added.
"Well, I got the idea from Serenity. She thought it was full proof, so I figured it would work well for the plan. Plus, I'm pretty sure Yami and Bakura will thank us later for it," Joey replied.
"Thank us? Why?"
"You'll know once you and Mai go shopping for those disguises."
"Yugi, are you done changing in there?"
"I'm not coming out!"
"Its not that bad at all!"
"Yes it is! Its embarrassing!"
Tea knocked on the door. "We won't laugh! We just want to see what you look like, that's all!"
Mai rolled her eyes. "Hun, the clothing is appropriate. Don't be embarrassed of your own body."
"You forgot that I'm a boy, not a girl! Why do I even need to wear it!?"
Tea sighs. "Its for yours and Ryou's protection. No one can ever know that the two of you can touch the snake jewels. That's why we suggested the two of you wear disguises whenever you have to face a Ka outside."
"How were you able to convince Yami that I needed this disguise!?"
"In exchange to agreeing this plan, we give him some Pocky. By the way, he mentioned that he liked the Pocky game you showed him yesterday. Care to explain what he meant by that?"
Mai giggled. "Oh my~ Who knew Yugi Muto would be so deviant?~"
Yugi squeaked, feeling his cheeks heating up. "I-Its nothing!" He shook his head to forget about what they did last night that involved Pocky and kissing. "I'm still not coming out though!"
Tea held back a snarl, but then noticed Mai getting a bobby pin out. Putting a finger on her lip to keep her quiet, Mai carefully picked the door's lock with the end of the pin, successfully unlocking it and opening the door. Preventing Yugi from closing the door, both her and Tea barged in and held back squeals to see Yugi's new disguise.
Downstairs, Yami is sitting on the couch while Solomon is sipping some tea and sitting across from him. They were told of the entire plan, and were hesitant until Tea provided some Pocky for Yami and he agreed to it. Solomon is still wary, but the puppy dog look from Mai convinced him. Now, they must wait in the living while the girls give Yugi his makeover.
"Do you think Yugi will be angry at me for agreeing to this plan?" Yami asked him.
Solomon shrugged. "Maybe. As long as you know how to keep him happy, then there's nothing to worry about."
"Once again, thank you for accepting me into your family and letting me be with Yugi."
"Its no problem at all. I already saw you as my grandson when I first saw how you cared for my boy well. Just promise me you will never break his heart or I will make you wish you went back inside the puzzle."
"I'd rather face the wrath of all the gods, including Goddess Wadjet and her snakes, than hurting my aibou's feelings. He's my entire life."
"Good. Remember that forever so you'll know why you love him so much."
"I'm grateful to the gods for letting me be revived back and stay with Yugi. I'm happy that he accepted my feelings for him, and for him feeling the same way."
Solomon smiled. "Love works in mysterious ways. That's how I felt everyday when I was with my wife."
"The same goes for my parents," Yami's lips stretched into a sad expression. "I hope to introduce them to Yugi once I see them again in the afterlife. I want them to know that I love him with all my heart, and pray they accept my relationship with him."
"I know they will. Parents care for their children, and will do anything to keep them happy," Solomon sipped his tea. "Also, you'll need to introduce yourself to Yugi's mother once she returns from her business trip."
Yami paled. "I almost forgot about his mother."
Solomon chuckled, while Yami groaned. Then, they heard someone coming inside the living room, and they looked up to see Mai and Tea walking inside together side by side, with huge smiles on their faces.
Mai cleared her throat. "I hope you two gentlemen did not wait that long."
Tea smiled wide. "We present to you Yugi Muto in his disguise!"
As they stepped sideways in opposite directions, Solomon choked on his tea while Yami's eyes widened in disbelief, with his mouth stretching in a wide 'O'. Yugi was standing in the entrance blushing, wearing a purple galaxy themed off-the-shoulder shirt with a black tank top under it, a black ruffled skirt with black socks that go over his knees to reach under the hem, and leather high-heeled ankle boots with buckles.
Yugi's hair no longer looked star-shaped and spiky, but held down and braided for the braid to drape over his shoulder. There was also a hint of makeup on him, mostly the blush on his cheeks, the purple eye shadow, and red lipstick. Overall, Yugi looked beautiful in his disguise.
Solomon looked at the girls in shock. "W-What have you done to my grandson..."
Tea rubbed the back of her neck. "We figured no one would figure out their identities if we disguised them as the opposite gender. Plus, Mai and I made sure no one would recognize them thanks to the makeover."
"I liked this plan. It's been a while since I gave someone a makeover," Mai giggled. "Plus, Yugi looks adorable in his female disguise. It suits him well."
Yugi whined, pulling down his skirt to cover his legs. "Why do I need to wear a skirt? Why can't I wear shorts instead?"
"It doesn't go well with the top, hun. The skirt is better."
"I still don't like this plan!"
Tea gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Yugi. Its for yours, Ryou's, and Malik's safety."
"Wait! They have to be disguised as girls, too!?"
"That's right. Until we collect all the snake jewels and send them back to Goddess Wadjet, you must disguise yourself as a girl whenever you battle against an opponent who has the jewels."
"But why a girl!? Why not a different disguise while I'm a boy!? And what about school!?"
"You can still wear your male uniform when you go to school. Then, we go back to the game shop and you change into your disguise when you go back outside."
"I still don't like- Oh gosh! Yami! Your nose is bleeding!"
Yami blinked, touching his nose and saw some blood on his fingertips. "Did I get injured?"
Yugi rushed into the kitchen and came back with some napkins, covering Yami's nose and tilting his head up. "Mou hitori no boku, hold still so you don't lose any more blood."
"Okay," Yami said. "You also look lovely in your disguise."
Yugi blushed, looking away. "T-Thanks, but I still look stupid in it!"
"No you don't. You look beautiful."
"Y-You're just saying that because I'm in a skirt."
"It doesn't matter what you wear. You always look beautiful to me."
Yami tilted his head down while holding the napkin pressed to his nose, and used his clean hand to cup Yugi's cheek. "Even if you're a boy or a girl, I still love you for you. I love your kindness, your caring nature, your concern for others, and your love for games… I love everything about you. That's why I'm crazy for you, akhu."
Yugi can't tell if his heart is screaming out loud, or if its just Mai and Tea squealing loudly at Yami's declaration. He has no idea what his grandpa is thinking, but probably thought it was heartwarming and sweet. How is Yugi so lucky to be with a kind, caring, and brave boyfriend like his Yami?
Tea snapped her fingers. "Starting today, you two can test the disguise out by going on a date!"
Mai clapped her hands together. "An excellent idea! This will give them more time to bond, and see the disguise working."
Yugi gasped in realization. "H-How can I forget about taking Yami out on a first date!? And just when we had gotten together!"
Yami blinked, and removed the napkin from his nose. "A date?"
"I recommend the Floral Gardens here in Domino City. A lot of couples love to go there and gaze at the flowers," Solomon recommended.
Tea squealed in delight. "Its perfect! They must definitely go there!"
Mai nodded while smiling. "And if they get thirsty, they can share a drink together. Just imagine them sharing one drink with two straws and-
"Hey! I'm also here!" Yugi cried out, his cheeks flushing pink. "Don't give my family any weird thoughts or ideas!"
Yami chuckled, and finished getting the blood off his nose. "The gardens sound nice. Let us go there as our first date, aibou."
"Y-You sure? We can go somewhere else-
"I like to see the flowers with you, akhu. I want those flowers to realize that you're my most beautiful flower."
"O-Other me, you're making my heart scream."
"Your heart is screaming? Is it hurting you?"
Yugi shook his head, quickly pulling Yami up so he can stand. "L-Lets just go visit the garden before Mai and Tea squeal again."
"Just remember to return home before dusk, boys," Solomon replied. "And please be safe."
"We also want details on your date," Tea said with glee.
"She's right. We want the juicy stuff," Mai smirked.
"See ya!" Yugi pushed Yami out of the living room, grabbing their stuff on the way as they left the game shop. Realizing they were outside and he was still in his female disguise, Yugi felt his shyness creeping back inside as he tried to pull his skirt down. "I still don't like wearing this disguise."
Yami placed his arm around Yugi, pulling him close as they started walking down the sidewalk together. "I think you look adorable in your disguise."
"How come you can't wear a disguise?"
"I won't look good in a female outfit, aibou."
"You wore a shendyt, which makes it look like a skirt. How were you comfortable with it?"
"I grew up wearing it during that time."
"And you weren't embarrassed?"
"No I was not."
Yugi pouted. "Why must I be disguised as a girl? Why couldn't they disguise me in a different outfit? And why would they think I need it? I know how to defend myself, and I know that no one can ever know of my ability to touch the snake gems."
Yami kissed the side of his head, as they stopped at a crosswalk. "They're just watching out for yours and Ryou's safety, aibou. They don't want any danger to come near us."
"But it's only the snake gems. We just need to find them and return them back to their home."
"They'll also be guarded by a Ka, so we must be careful."
"True, but I know we can handle it," Yugi said, as he and Yami walked down the crosswalk when the light turned green. They made it to the other sidewalk, and headed towards the direction where the garden is. "We were lucky the silver snake gem wasn't guarded by a Ka. However, there's a chance we will face against a strong Ka."
"To acquire the snake gem, the Ka guarding the gem must be defeated."
"We gotta make sure no one gets hurt."
"And no one must see you touching the snake jewel either. Your abilities must remain hidden."
Yugi frowned, and opted to lean against Yami. He was right though. No one can ever knew what he and Ryou just did yesterday at the museum. Since there's a chance Malik can touch the snake gems, he'll also need to be careful. All they have to do is find the snake gems, return them back home, and the danger will be over. Everything will be normal again.
Whenever new danger comes in, a wave of frustration will hit him. He's tired of people he care about get hurt, tired of situations that put their lives on the line, and he's tired that it caused pain to his loved ones. However, danger came for a reason and it gave him back his Yami. Ryou and Malik also got their darker halves back, and they're forming a connection with them.
He never thought his heart would yearn so much for Yami, and it's not because of his connection with Heba. It's their bond that evolved throughout time, moving from partners to soulmates. Yugi is comfortable with it, and the same goes for Yami. His friends didn't mind, and he's happy for Joey that he and Seto are getting along well. It even looked like Seto is starting to open up a bit more, and it's thanks to Joey who is helping him.
Yugi felt a new wave of emotions hitting his mind: love, admiration, warmth, and a hint of pride. He blushed, realizing his mind link is still open. That means Yami heard and felt everything in his head.
/I still find our mind link comforting. It lets me know what you are feeling. Yugi, everything will be okay. The situation will end soon, and things will go back to normal. We just need to think positive./
"Too bad it's difficult to think positive. You're not the one wearing a skirt."
/I wore a shendyt, so that can count./
"Yami, you're enjoying my new disguise, aren't you?"
/Whatever do you mean, aibou?/
Yugi opened his mouth, but then closed it and shook his head. "Never mind." He looked over and stopped. "Here's the entrance for the Floral Gardens."
In front of them is a pair of huge, iron-black gates opened wide for anyone to enter. As they walked through the entrance, a swarm of flower petals danced around them. The pathway showed rows of different flowers on both sides, ranging from daisies, sunflowers, lilies, tulips, roses, orchids, and many others. Tress filled with cherry blossoms lined up in rows, making the garden appear enchanting to anyone who enters.
There were many people admiring the flowers, and some were either families or couples. Yugi recognized a few teenagers around his age who go to his school, and hope they won't notice him. Sensing how nervous he is, Yami grabbed his hand and gently squeezed it. He gave Yugi a comforting smile, causing Yugi to look down at his shoes while blushing.
"We can go somewhere else if you're not comfortable here," Yami softly whispered to him.
Yugi shook his head no. "I-I'll be okay. I want this to be a perfect first date, and it will be a perfect first date for the both of us. Lets enjoy seeing the flowers, and not worry about anything."
Yami agreed, and they both trailed down the pathway. They would stop and admire the flowers they recognized, and the ones they are unfamiliar with. Yugi would point out which flowers are native to Domino City, and why they're important. Yami recognized some lotus flowers that reminded him of Egypt, and told Yugi the meaning of the lotuses.
"If I had to choose a flower to represent you, you would definitely be a lotus flower," Yugi said.
"But which color?" Yami asked.
"All of them: white for purity of both the mind and soul, red for our love and passion for each other, blue for wisdom, common sense, and knowledge, pink for history related to your time as pharaoh, and purple for being mystical and spiritual when you were in the puzzle. To me, you're a lotus flower who bloomed when the sun shined upon you."
Yami looked away, covering his mouth with his hand as his cheeks started to heat up. Yugi thought of him as a lotus flower, and described to him what he's like. Not only did he know the lotus flowers, but gave him a compliment that counted as flirting. Now, Yami is feeling flustered and has no idea what to say.
"W-Was it too much, mou hitori no boku?" Yugi sheepishly said. "I-I hope I didn't embarrass you."
Yami shook his head, and looked back at him. "N-No. I'm actually happy about it, and thank you." He smiled. "I'm glad you think of me as a lotus flower. To me, you remind me of a white water lily. They are very rare, and only bloom once every 3,000 years. They symbolize purity and chastity."
"Y-You really think I'm a white water lily flower?"
"Absolutely. I hope to find one someday, and give it to you. You deserve the best."
"T-There's no need! You coming back is my greatest gift! I'm happy you're with me!"
"I still wish to find that flower someday, and present it to you when the time is right," Yami held Yugi's hand and kissed his fingertips. "You are my most precious gem and treasure."
He shivered as Yami softly kissed each of his fingertips, almost like a butterfly is kissing him. His heart pounded so much against his ribcage, that he isn't sure if it'll explode or not. His other me is very passionate and romantic towards him, and it makes Yugi's heart feel loved. Yami is very kind and sweet towards him, and isn't afraid to show his gentle side to him in public.
Wanting his Yami to blush more, Yugi grabbed the front of his tank top and pulled him close, pressing their lips together in a heated kiss. Before he could get closer, a scream rang out, causing them to break apart and look over. Everyone was running away from something, and some pointed while trying to avoid it. They stared at the direction, and their eyes widened to see something destroying the gardens.
It was a person wearing a red magician outfit, wearing both red and purple for the uniform with some green on its flaps. They could tell it's a male due to his face, but his mouth is covered with a cloth, and he wielded a weapon resembling a scythe. They could it isn't human, since the person is floating and destroying things in its path.
Yami tensed, as he looked at the creature. "It's a duel spirit, Yugi. This Ka is on a rampage."
"But I don't see its owner," Yugi looked around. "And why is it mad?"
"I don't know, but we must stop it before anyone gets hurt."
"You're right. We can't let it destroy this garden!"
Summoning their duel disks, they each got a card out and placed it on the slot.
"Appear Celtic Guardian!"
"Beta the Magnet Warrior, come on out!"
Both monsters appeared on the field in their battle stance, as they faced their enemy. The red monster saw them, and prepared to attack them.
"Celtic Guardian, attack! Destroy that monster with your Speared Sword!"
"Go Beta the Magnet Warrior! Attack!"
The monsters attacked their opponent, who dodged and tried to attack them. They both defended themselves, and jumped back to avoid getting hit. The red monster struck, causing Celtic Guardian to strike back with its sword. As their weapons clashed together, Beta the Magnet Warrior was able to land a hit on the red monster, causing it to cry out and get destroyed, disintegrated into particles.
Sensing there was no other danger, both their respective monsters vanished and went back inside their cards. Deactivating their duel disks, the destroyed area suddenly fixed itself, going back to the way it was before it got ruined. Seeing something twinkling on the ground, Yugi jogged over and got a closer look, gasping in shock.
Yami followed, and also gasped when he saw the shining object. "The red snake gem? But how?"
Yugi crouched down, and slowly pressed his fingertips on the surface, feeling warmth emanate from the jewel. Gently picking it up, he stood up and held it close to his chest, cradling it as he got a closer look and noticed a baby snake inside the red snake gem. "This one is just like the silver snake gem. There's also a baby snake in here."
"You're right, Yugi. But how did it get here? And was it the one unleashing that Ka monster?"
"I believe so. Maybe it was scared, causing the little snake to unleash its Ka in order to protect itself."
"I'm still surprised it revealed itself here in this garden."
"Me too. I'm glad we were here on time to stop its rampage."
"Indeed," Yami got a closer look, and smiled at the red snake gem. "It has been a long time, little snake. Do you remember me?"
The baby snake gazed at Yami, and noticed a resemblance to Pharaoh Atem, along with his aura. The snake flicked its forked tongue out, and nodded while staring at him. Yami sighed in relief. "Thank goodness. Now he'll be comfortable with the two of us so he won't get scared."
Yugi smiled, and carefully placed the red snake jewel in Yami's arms. Making sure he held the gem carefully, Yugi saw the blush forming on Yami's cheeks, who then relaxed and cradled it close to his chest. "Do you also feel protective of this gem?"
"Indeed. I feel like a father to him."
"I think the baby snake sees you as a parent, so that's why he's not burning you."
"I know the little snake sees you as his mother."
Yugi gaped, feeling his cheeks turning red. "H-Hold on! I am a boy, Yami!"
"I know, but you give off a motherly vibe towards this snake."
"That's not even possible!"
"The cobra goddess protects children, and since you have a relation with her in the past, you are protective of children, which means you are a parent towards them."
"How about you be the mom, and I'll be the dad?"
"I can't be a mother, little one. I'm way too tall, and I can never look good in female clothes like you do."
Yugi huffed. "We'll argue about this later! But right now, we gotta hide this snake gem before someone sees it!"
"You are correct," Yami covered the jewel with his coat. "Since everyone ran out the garden, this means we're the only ones here."
"I hope so. Plus, this means we'll have to postpone our first date until we resolve this situation."
"There's no need to cancel it. We can still continue."
"After we take the gem back to the game shop. No one must know we possess a rare jewel created by Goddess Wadjet."
"I still believe you'll make a wonderful mother."
"Y-Yami!"
