CH 39
Joan went out to feed the alligator and found it digging around at the shore line and carrying brush to a pile. She banged in the fence and it ignored her to work at the weed pile right at the water's edge it was making. Going down to the dock, she watched the alligator swim away, then come back with another mouthful and spit the weeds out, then climb up on the pile for a few moments. When the alligator moved, there were eggs on the pile.
"You're a girl!" Joan said in wonder.
It, or rather, she turned around and covered more weeds on the eggs. Two more trips to bury her eggs in the weed pile, then the alligator came over to the dock and jumped up to hook her front paws on the dock edge, then opened her mouth to get her food. Joan tossed the alligator her food. The alligator slipped back down and swam off to rip more weeds away and bring them back to her nest.
"Joan, let's go, you're going to be late!" Cameron called.
Joan ran back to the house. Seeing Cameron keeping the door open for her, she said, "Mom! the alligator's a girl! She made a nest and laid eggs in it!"
"Where?"
"Down by the dock. That was really cool to watch," Joan told her.
"Hurry up, you have six minutes to catch the bus," Cameron informed her.
Joan raced inside.
Cameron looked off at the dock. They were sure to have more alligators around here soon. Wonderful.
.
Fridays were always good at school, because tomorrow was Saturday. Joan Allison and Bob planned a get together at Bob's house, since his mother was going to be working at school most of the day. Carol was counting on Joan and Allison to watch each other :IE not let any sexual activities get very far. With normal kids, this worked.
Knowing they were coming, Bob got towels and light robes for the girls and took them down to the dock. The water was clear enough here that he could see the bottom eight feet down around the end of the dock and for a short ways out. Looking down, he saw a shape swim under the dock. It was a small alligator, only about a foot is so long. it swam quickly under the dock and came up, it looked like, right behind a post. A very large fish, he guess was close to five feet long came in the veered away.
Damn, that was a big, fat fish. Maybe if he used alligator looking lures? The fish suddenly sped up and left. Another long shape came into view. Joan's smooth form came up at hium. He moved to the side. JOan jumped up and sat on the edge of the dock and swung her tail around.
"Hi Bob!"
"Hey, Joan, brought you a towel and a light robe," Bob replied.
"Oh, goodie!" She beamed.
He no more then helped her out of her tail, and was drying off when Allison jumped up onto the dock.
"Hey Allie," they both chorused.
"Hi Guys," she said brightly. "On my way here, I saw four small alligators, none longer than three feet of so. I didn't get a good look at them, right after I spotted them, they took off."
Bob helped Allison out of her tail and have her a towel.
"Speaking of alligators, ours has a big nest full of eggs. It's a she, not a he," Joan told them.
Allison cracked a grin, "Has your alligator attacked any more lawn mowers lately?"
"No," Joan said in a huff. "Still don't know why she did that."
"Don't mow when she's sleeping," Bob offered.
Allison giggled, "It gets on her nerves."
In their bikinis and robes, hair wrapped in towels on their heads, Bob followed them into the house. "So what's the plan, Bob?" Allison asked.
Bob frowned slightly. "Plan? I don't know, eat, drink, hang out, play games. Whatever you want to do."
"We can try a game if you're brave enough," Joan said with a crooked grin. "I found it on the internet."
Allison's eyes widened. "You mean … THAT one?"
Joan nodded. "Yes, and we all play."
Allison flushed. "You mean … You, Me, Bob?"
Joan nodded.
Allison gazed at Bob briefly and said, "Joan, you sure?"
"Yeah! Why not?"
"What is this game?" Bob asked nervously.
.
Looking at designs, Mark and Sonya picked the most wind-proof design. It looked like a giant igloo. There were three entrances, one curved shape (like gong into an igloo) large enough for trucks, A double door main entrance, also and an employee entrance the was also the same side walls and half round curved roof. By the design, foam triangles coated with wire reinforcing and concrete, the building was strong enough to withstand the crash of a 747 coming down on it or a near miss nuclear blast. No hurricanes or tornadoes didn't stand a chance against it, the wind would just toll over it. Sonya liked it.
Seeing this, the Sheriff/Mayor, wanted space to store the town emergency supplies and equipment inside. Of course the town would pay a monthly fee for the storage.
Due to the round shape of the building, there was plenty of room inside, enough for a second floor and a 'top area' storage space, and plenty of edge storage spaces. The building was going up fairly fast after the base concrete and framing was put up.
Mark still worked at the garage while the work was being done. Sonya dealt with the few customers they had. and the long waiting list.
Carol and the Principal of the high school stopped by to see Sonya to find out if Their store could be used for a town emergency shelter. Sonya gladly obliged them. In the event of a disaster, she even would have the doors remain open as long as possible and guide people in if it ever came to that.
.
"The name of this game is the 'touchy-feely game," Joan read off the screen as they all sat on the couch. "There are four levels. Level one- innocent. Level two, not so innocent. Level three, feeling frisky, Level four, as bold as you dare. Do you wish to continue?" Joan looked at Bob and Allison.
"We can try it," Alison offered.
Bob winced, "With both of you?" he asked. Joan nodded. He looked at Allison. Allison blushed and said, "We can give it a try." She nodded.
Joan went to the next page and read, "To start this game wear a robe and underwear, push continue when ready."
"A bikini is basically underwear," Allison noted. "Bob has to change."
Joan looked at Bob.
"With both of you?" he asked again, feeling his face warm.
"Bob, go change, we'll wait," Joan told him.
"Just what is this game?" he asked.
"I don't know. We'll find out when we play," Joan replied.
"Why do I feel like we're going to get in trouble?" Bob asked.
"Awww come on Bob, isn't the suspense killing you?" Allison chided.
Bob looked at her. Firmly, he said, "I don't want any parents killing me."
"Nobody's going to know!" Joan cried.
"Famous last words," Bob retorted.
"They won't!" Joan assured him. "If we get uncomfortable, we stop, OK?"
Bob could see Joan wanted to play. Allison said, "Go on Bob, we're waiting on you."
He got up and went in his room. The more he thought about it, he was sure this was going to end up sexual, but his mother was going to be gone all day. What was he afraid of? He was sure Joan nor Allison was going to let this go too far. After all they were both right here. He got a pair of boxers on and his bathrobe.
Bob returned and sat down. "OK, I'm ready."
Joan continued to the next page. She read, "This game is relaxing fun. the game will ask number of players, players name and sex. Selections are randomly generated. The first block is the active player who must complete the task in the second block, on the player in the third block. The forth block is the location the action must take place on. Example, Player one, kiss, Player 2, knuckles. When player one has done this, then click on the DONE and a new random action by a player will be generated.
Input player 1 name and sex.
Joan typed in Joan/ female. It then asked for player two, Joan typed Bob/ male, then player three. Allie / female.
Next was 'are you ready to begin'?
Joan looked at them. Allison nodded, looking nervous. Bob nodded. Joan hit YES.
The screen went blank then : Joan touch Allie nose.
They laughed. Joan reached over and touched Allison on the nose. She hit next.
Bob touch Joan ear. He did, giving it a little pet.
Allie lick Joan nose.
They laughed again. Allison bend over and licked Joan on the nose.
Bob rub Allie back.
He did, rubbing Allison's back for a moment.
Joan, touch Allie cheek.
Another giggle and Joan touched Allison's cheek.
Allie fast kiss Bob lips
Allison blushed heavily, so did Bob.
"Well, go on." Joan coaxed.
Allison gave Bob a quick kiss.
Bob lick Joan palm. He did. Joan giggled.
Joan kiss Bob nose
Joan did. "Not even on the lips, she grumbled and hit next.
Allie kiss Joan cheek.
Allison did.
Bob lick Allie ear.
Allison blushed as he did.
They played this level for a while, exchanging touches, short kisses, and Joan got to kiss Bob. Much of the combinations coming up were silly.
"Let's go to level two," Allison prodded. Joan selected level Two
The screen Showed : Level Two. short kiss replaced by long kiss. Nose replace by upper chest. touch replaced by Pet= a gentle rub of 5 to 15 seconds.
"This should get interesting," Joan said with a grin.
.
As Carol and the Principal were leaving, Sonya asked, "Carol, you're not worried about Joan and Bob in the house alone?"
Carol smiled. "No Allison's with them. That will make it awkward for them to do much of anything with Allison watching."
.
Allison watched Bob gently pet Joan on her upper chest. Her robe seemed to be opening by itself. Joan was giving Bob a wanting look. He rubbed for a lot more than 15 seconds. Allison was feeling flushed from watching him.
He finally stopped and asked, What's next?"
Allison hit the next button.
Allie pet Bob cheek.
Allison did, gently feeling his face. Gazing softly at him, She felt herself getting warm.
Joan hit the next button.
Joan kiss Allie lips.
Wow, that's hot, Bob thought as he watched them kiss. Their robes seemed a little loose. Joan hit the next button.
Bob lick Allie chest.
"oh," Allison whimpered with pink cheeks. Her robe opened a bit father to show the middle string of her bikini.
Bob held her sides gently as Allison panted. He licked her chest slowly. On the second lick not quite centered, she grabbed his head and let out a gasp. After his lick, their eyes met. Allison was gazing at him and panting.
Joan hit the next button.
Joan kiss Bob lips.
"Yes," Joan whispered and plunged into a passionate kiss with Bob, arms around each other. When they came up for air, she softly said, "About time." She hit the next button
Bob kiss Allie belly.
Allison gazed blankly and him and leaned back, robe open down the center. Bob leaned into her and kissed his way from the top of her belly down to just below her belly.
Joan lick Bob inside thigh.
Bob grew a woody just thinking about that. Joan pulled his robe aside and licked. "ahhh," he gasped as her tongue traced it's way up the inside of his thigh nearly to his crotch.
Bob pet Allie sides to hips.
Bob did. Allison's robe was fully open now. He traced his fingers down her sides. Nearly to her hips, she squeaked out and clapped her legs shut.
"Level three?" Allison asked in a pant.
"Oh yes, " Joan said and went to the next level.
Level 3 : Keep panties/ shorts. Lose other clothes. Ear replaced by nipple. Kiss with extra draw recommended.
Joan doft her robe and top. Allison took her robe off slower and watched Bob as she undid her top and let it fall to the floor. She also noticed something. "Joan, your boobs are getting big."
"The better to feed Bob with." Joan said with a sly grin. she hit the next button.
Bob kiss Joan inner thigh.
Bob did, Joan holding him in place as her eyes grew a blue glow. Her eyes also fluttered as he neared her groin. "ohh," she whined happily her hips twitched. Bob added a pet and a lick while he was at it.
Allison hit the next button.
Bob kiss Allie nipples. Seeing this, Allison's nipples pruned up hard.
Quivering slightly, Allison cupped the back if his head and guided him to his task. Kissing/nursing gently, he paid attention to one then the other as Allison's eye grew a blue glow.
A question came up on the screen Complex actions? Yes/No
Joan hit yes.
Bob kiss Joan nipple Joan kiss Allie.
With an arm around Allison, Joan drew Bob's head to her hard nips. Joan moaned with joy into Allison's mouth. Eyes closed in bliss as they kissed. Bob was so hard he thought it might explode. Joan was in his lap. She rubbed up and down as they kept on. Bob's head was shifted to be pulled over to Allison's chest. Joan pulled back some, Allison took her turn to straddle him. He popped out.
Having to breathe, Allison and Joan parted lips."I... need ..." Allison gasped. A pull of a sting and Allison's bikini bottoms came loose. The thin piece of cloth between them moved aside.
Somehow, the game was forgotten ...
.
Carol went back to the school to catch up on some work. There, Mrs Hughes cornered the Principal about the summer football game. Even with the cost of the uniforms, helmet, padding and designing the practice equipment, many parents were for it. He promised to pass the idea to other schools. Carol was busy as her desk while Joan was getting her turn.
.
Bob didn't know how Joan could stretch that ended up lying down, Joan over him, Allison beside him. Dizzy, he was wrecked. Inside Joan and having nipples from each surrounding his head, and Joan and Allison were kissing. "I got nothing left," he panted.
"You did fine, Bob," Allison said and kissed him.
"You sure did," Joan agreed and kissed him.
He looked into their glowing blue eyes and asked, "So, it this all right?"
"Fine."
"Me and Allie are sisters. We share everything," Joan assured him.
"Allie? I mean, don't you want your own guy?" Bob asked.
Allison crunched her face up in a cute looking frown. "Ummmm, no. We talked about it. Most guys are scared of us, and, well, We'd like to live together."
"We would, and it would be great if you lived with us too," Joan added.
"But you might be one tired puppy," Allison added. They both giggled.
Bob had a skeptical look so Joan prodded, "You know I have two mothers, and Allison is ... well, Mommy One is a duplicate of Allison."
Bob said, "Joan, I am never going to look at your mother the same again."
That got them laughing. Allison rolled off the couch, which made it funnier.
Then the phone rang. They were up, separated and had robes on in the blink of an eye. Bob stumbled to the phone, took a deep breath to calm himself and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Bob, it's Mom, I'll be home in about ten minutes. You haven't thought anything about supper, have you?"
"Ahhh supper? No that was the last thing on my mind. I can get something out if you want."
"Please do, and the girls can stay if they want but they have to call and get permission."
"OK, I'll tell them."
"See you soon, Bye."
Bob hung up the phone to look at two pairs of glowing blue eyes. "Mom's coming home, she asked if you want to stay for dinner."
"Sure! We'd..." Joan stopped. "Allie your eyes, my eyes are glowing too?"
"Like beacons."
"They are," Bob said with a wince.
"Rats! That means we can't, doesn't it?" Allison asked.
"Pretty much," Joan agreed. "Our eyes are a dead giveaway. His mother will know."
"Well that sucks. Come on let's get some food out before we go."
"And get dressed," Joan added, then flashed her naked body.
"Umm, yeah." Bob agreed.
.
Peggy had breakfast and got ready to work outside. Light shirt and skirt against the heat of the say, protective boots and a wide brim stray had to keep the sun off her. She also felt a stab of fear from younger mother.
Huh? everyone was still in the house. She then felt fear from middle father and older mother let out a plea. Without thinking, Peggy ran to the top of the stairs. Below, two rough looking men were taking older mother's statues and her jeweled statue on the gold base. She tried to ask them again to stop. One batted her to the floor.
No! Not here, not against her family, Peggy's mind screamed. But there were three men, two women were searching around for more things to take. Just because they could. One woman headed for the kitchen. Peggy called JJ's house phone. "Yes, it's Peggy Littleton, people are in our house stealing and they won't leave!" she told Cameron.
One of the men pointed at her, "YOU! Drop the phone or I will beat you!"
"He's threatening violence... Yes … I will try."
The man came stomping up the stairs. Peggy started shaking. she was about to get hurt. She heard Cameron's voice in her head. Make them fear you.
Peggy stared him down. All the hate she'd felt, all her own fear she experienced when she was lying on the ground then, she called up in her mind, reliving it. She forced those bad feelings at him to make him feel what she had. She had to be the wolverine. He stopped, gaping at her wide eyed. Peggy raised her foot and kicked him back down the stairs. Everyone, her family and the intruders gaped at her. The man tumbled down the stairs. He scrambled up with a limp and holding his arm.
Something happened in Peggy. She was no longer afraid of these thugs. She was making them afraid of her. Peggy panned the scene of thieves that were in her home, all staring at her. Stressing her words and radiating as much fear in them as she could, the fear those men had of Delilah, she said in a strong, even tone, "Anyone who don't want to get killed, drop whatever you have and leave. Now."
A woman and another man dropped their prizes and left. The one who had threatened her hobbled out as fast as he could go. The other woman came from the kitchen with a cooler full of meat. Peggy glared at her and pushed hate and fear of her at the woman as strongly as possible. The woman dropped the cooler and ran out the door. None of her family moved, they just gaped at her, wide eyed.
Peggy walked slowly down the stairs. Seeing Mother Mika on the floor, she went over and helped her to her feet. "Sorry if I scared you. I had to drive those people out of the house."
Mika sobbed, Peggy hugged her close. "It's OK, Mom, it's OK," she said gently.
"What ... how... that was terrifying!" Mika sobbed as she held Peggy.
Softly, Peggy said, "Every now and then, we need the Wolverine. It hurts my mind, but it's better than seeing any of my family hurt."
Older mother whimpered, "I cannot live... with her in the house!"
"She had gone over to the mean and violent!" Older father stated.
Peggy shook her head sadly. Strong negative emotions had hurt to deal with. She endured it to save her family. "You will never understand," she told him sadly. "I try to explain, but you cannot let go of what you knew. We all need to adjust to what we have now. You can't seem to grasp that. I do feel sorry for you."
"Peggy, you'd never hurt us, would you?" Mika asked.
"No, never," Peggy told her with a half smile. "Family is to be protected."
"You say that, but you scared us all!" Older father stated.
"I cannot cast feeling out selectively. It was all or nothing, and I feel lucky I was able to do that," Peggy explained. "I had to scare everyone in the house so they would leave."
"You will go now!" older mother stated. "There is no room for one so violent to be here."
"NO," Jaren, the younger father said. "Peggy just saved us form being robbed, and maybe worse."
"Yes, she must go," Middle father stated, to which Older father agreed.
Peggy looked at them. Their feelings were coming to her clearly. They were afraid of her. Older father and mother were terrified she was going to do something to them. "Mom, I have to go pack," Peggy said weakly. "It's clear, I'm not wanted here any more."
Mika nodded slowly. She gazed at Peggy and said, "Thank you for saving us."
Jaren said, "I'll call the sheriff and explain what happened. And Mrs Connor."
"Mrs. Connor is on her way," Peggy told him. She turned and walked back up the stairs.
.
Going up to pack her things, Peggy was pleasantly surprised to see Mika had joined her. At first they only put folded clothes in suitcases, working quietly. Peggy then had to ask, "Mom? Will you and younger father visit me? I know I won't be able to come back."
Mika smiled weakly at her. "I would like to. Maybe on store runs Saturday afternoon? I'm not sure if I can be brave enough to go to the Connor place."
Peggy nodded. "I understand."
Mika stopped and sat on the bed. "I don't like this at all," she said and clenched a fist. "I don't know how, but you're right. If we would have done … something, maybe we could have saved your brothers and your sister. Today what you did was very brave. I don't think I could ever just … kick someone down the stairs like that. It's too awful to even think about hurting someone else."
Peggy sat down by her. "I know why Johnny fought. I experienced it atop the stairs. My whole family was in front of me, being abused. If I didn't do something, no one would. I didn't care what happened to me so long as I could get rid of the threat to the rest of you. Older parents hate me now, but everyone is alive and healthy. IT's OK that they don't like me, I did what I had to do. If that's the price I have to pay, then it is." She snorted out a chuckle. "If making them fear hadn't worked, I would have been in big trouble. But even so, I had to try."
Mika winced at remembering the strong bad emotions Peggy had radiated. "You had some powerful hate and fear in your mind. There is no doubt about that. I am grateful it worked."
Peggy paused then let out a giggle of, "Oh no." Seeing Mika looking at her, Peggy said, "Johnny wanted to get my room ready. You know, paint it up like I wanted it, put some decorations in. I just hope he's not too upset he can't get it ready for me. He really wanted to."
Jaren came into the doorway. "Mika, Peggy, the sheriff's here. He wants to see you downstairs."
"This is it then," Peggy said and picked up her suitcases.
.
The sheriff stood in the living room taking notes of all the stuff all over the floor. To one side, Cameron stood, arms folded over her chest, waiting patiently.
"Can you find those people who broke into our house?" Jaren asked.
"Already did," the sheriff told him. "They had a car accident, a rollover. Not sure how, but every one of them suffered a broken neck. They all died."
Cameron bore a brief smile.
The sheriff saw Peggy coming with her suitcases. "Miss Littleton, what can you tell me about what happened here?"
Peggy came down and explained everything as it happened. It was going smoothly until older father spoke up.
"That man had stopped before he got to you! You didn't have to kick him down the stairs!"
Peggy, Mika and Jaren all cast him a shocked look. Cameron just stared blankly at him.
The Sheriff looked over at him. "Mr. Littleton, where were you when this happened?" he asked.
"Over here, by this chair."
The sheriff nodded to Peggy and said, "So you claim this man ran up the stairs, threatening her, then just stopped? And after he stopped, Miss Littleton assaulted him. Is that what you're saying?"
"She did!" he insisted.
"So you would testify in court, that the man who broke into your house, threatened and was stealing from you, stopped and your daughter assaulted him? Am I hearing this right?"
Quickly, Jaren said, "From what I saw, he didn't stop. I was over here, Sheriff, closer to the stairs."
"I saw what I saw," Older father stated.
"You need to shut up," Cameron told him flatly, flashing her red eyes at him. He shied back and kept quiet.
The sheriff paused, then said, "I'm sure it was confusing. Miss Littleton, that man that came at you, you were defending yourself?"
"I was sheriff, the only way I knew how."
"You're not in trouble, Miss," the Sheriff assured her. To the group of Litletons, he asked, "Who is Peggy Littleton's parent?"
"We all are," the older father said.
"Let me rephrase that. Who are her biological parents?"
Older mother said, "I gave birth to Peggy."
"And who is the father?"
"One of my husbands."
The sheriff let out a sigh and opened an envelope. "Well, Mrs. Littleton, after your daughter was brave enough to stop a home invasion and ensure none of you were hurt, you wish to disown her?"
"That's right!" she said firmly.
The sheriff held out a form to her. "Then sign here to surrender parental rights."
Older mother did. Right after she handed the form back, the Sheriff then handed Cameron a form. "Mrs. Connor, this is the form to adopt Peggy Littleton as your child and care for her. After signatures, I'll take it to the judge for finalization."
Cameron signed the form. Older father got up and stood right beside her.
"You can't do that!" he roared. He tried too grab the form, Cameron grabbed his wrist and forced him to his knees. With the iron grip on his wrist and her cold stare, he shriveled in place.
"Mrs. Connor, that's enough," The Sheriff told her and retrieved the form back. To the older father, the Sheriff said, "That was a stupid move to assault her. If she wanted to ball you up and break some bones, I wouldn't have seen anything. Mrs. Connor, let's go, the Judge is outside."
Cameron motioned for Peggy to follow. She did, Mika and Jaren came with her. Out by the cars was a portly man the sheriff went up to. He looked at the paperwork then motioned to the group on the porch. "Mrs. Connor, Peggy, come on over here."
The judge confirmed with Cameron that Peggy was now a homeless child, since her parents had given up custody. and confirmed Cameron and John were going to adopt her. He then asked Peggy, "Miss Peggy, do you have any reservations about going to live with John and Cameron?"
"No sir," she said firmly.
The Judge then wrote something out as he said, "Then from here on, you'll be known as Peggy Connor."
Mika let out a sniffle. Peggy hugged her then Jaren. "Come see me if you can."
"We will," Jaren said firmly. Mika only nodded.
.
On their way out, Peggy looked back to see Jaren and Mika were watching them leave.
"Second thoughts?" Cameron asked.
"Not really. It's just sad is all," Peggy said with a sigh. "Before I didn't know why things happened to us. Now, I know. It doesn't feel very good knowing it either."
Cameron offered, "Myself, I cannot fathom letting anyone hurt your family, or not doing your best for them. Today when those people were in your house, that couldn't have been easy for you."
"It wasn't." Peggy agreed.
"That makes what you did very brave of you," Cameron said firmly. "You should be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you. You stood up for family, even putting yourself at risk."
Peggy asked, "Mrs. Connor? I heard there are ... odd things that happen at your house?"
Cameron cracked a grin. "It's Cameron or Mom or Mommy One, your choice. Delilah is Mom or Mommy Two, again your choice. What odd things did you hear?"
"Did you really kick a pig to an alligator?"
Cameron nodded. "The alligator was climbing up onto the dock. When I kicked the pig to her, she caught it, that forced her back into the water. We do our best to keep her out of the yard."
"That alligator gets in the yard?"
"Not any more. It was following Joan around. Once it got in the house. We took it out and threw it back in the lake."
"But, it doesn't attack anyone, does it?"
"Only the lawn mower," Cameron told her. "I don't know why, but it beat the crap out of the lawnmower then threw it in the pool. Joan had to clean up the mess."
Peggy grinned. "Why a lawnmower?"
"You'd have to ask the alligator. Just don't get too close."
"Is it like a pet or something?" Peggy asked.
"No. Alligators are not pets. They have a reptilian brain. Eat, survive, reproduce. That is all they are concerned with. That is all they know. Joan feeds it, so it stays around for food."
"What about a car that's alive? Is it like ultra modern or something?"
"Christine," Cameron said. "Christine was build in the previous century, 1958. The intelligence in that car has nothing to do with anything modern. Until Christine gets used to you, don't go near it unless Delilah is with you."
"Christine is dangerous?"
"Christine can be lethal," Cameron stated. "Delilah threatened it's life, so she behaves. We don't want to push it."
This surprised Peggy. "If it's so dangerous, why keep it around?"
"Delilah loves that car. Plus, Christine can be useful. I'm sure you heard that trouble comes to find us now and then. Christine is a good hammer against the troublemakers," Cameron explained. Seeing Peggy stare at her, Cameron added, "We will use whatever we can to keep trouble away from our door."
"Is there anything else I have to be careful of?" Peggy asked.
"Yes, do not get close to Joan and Jackie when they are sword fighting."
Peggy remembered Jackie's 'Indigo costume'. "They sword fight with wooden swords?"
"No, steel swords. They get going and they don't always watch where they are swinging. Don't worry about them getting hurt, they have practiced their routine countless times."
"But ... why?"
Cameron grinned. "They like it. Ever since Sonya and Delilah did it, they have been practicing."
Seeing Peggy looked a little pale, Cameron asked, "Afraid you've jumped from the frying pan into the fire?"
"No, but there are some things I need to get used to," Peggy admitted.
"There is one thing you need to know," Cameron said firmly. "We protect family, which now includes you. No matter what it takes, even If it requires mass destruction, we do not let any harm come to our children."
Peggy nodded. "I know, I've seen that and I thank you for it."
