Nobody Listens Chapter 26: "Unforgiven"

It was nighttime, and the family was still flying home.

Dewey grew tired and yawned in the backseat. He looked over at his brothers who had fallen asleep.

Louie had a green blanket on him and Huey had a red one. Huey mumbled something and turned over, resulting in his blanket falling off of him. Dewey grabbed it and put it back on him.

It was the least he could do. Huey was such a good brother.

Dewey was not.

He yawned again, this time more tired than the last, but as much as he tried, he couldn't fall asleep after the events of what had happened that morning.

"You know it's not your fault, right?" A voice startled him.

Webby was sitting in her seat while toying around with her Quacky Patch doll, which had an arrow through it, of course. (Like most of her other toys)

"I guess."

She curled her bottom beak, "I guess?" Webby

Dewey just shrugged and looked away.

"You don't guess. You do think it's your fault, don't you?"

Dewey tried to swallow the lump in his throat, how was Webby so good at telling all this. He turned over and clutched his blue blanket, pretending to sleep. He knew Webby wouldn't believe it, but he didn't want to be involved in this conversation.
