It was the definition of the element of surprise, the henchmen guarding the front of Ludo's castle were ambushed by Mewni knights. They appeared out of portals that began to pop up all over the courtyard. There were bigger portals that spat out massive war wagons being pulled by armored horses. It was complete chaos as hundreds of Mewmens and Monsters clashed with the enemy forces. There were dragons that uncoiled themselves from the towers of the castle and wreaked havoc on the knights, the dragon-riders led by Talon Raventalon took flight after the fire breathers. A big golden portal appeared in the middle of the battlefield, and a massive blast of fire exited the vortex; setting the enemy in its path ablaze. Tom stepped out followed by Star, her parents, the king and queen, along with the elite royal guards. The Spiderbite army, the Pony-head army, the Pigeon army, and even some old monster enemies stood behind the princess and her family. Star looked over at Tom and nodded before putting her fist in the air and shouting,

"MARCO!"

The royal army shouted their war cries in response as they charged into battle. Star looked up at the elites that were standing on the balcony of the tower looking back down at her, she gritted her teeth and glared at the man in black that took Marco. The princess raised her wand up and massive balls of rainbow rained down from the sky and exploded on impact with the enemy army. Star watched three elites jump from the balcony and slam down on the battlefield, one flew up into the sky and transformed into a massive black dragon. The rest headed back inside to guard the throne room from intruders. Star locked eyes with a familiar face as she traversed the battlefield, not losing sight of the person as she shot off magic spells at attacking henchmen.

"What a pleasant surprise, it's my other half. Come back to rescue your boyfriend?"

"I'll never turn out like you. A sad old woman throwing a tantrum because her boytoy bit the dust.

"YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND!" The evil Star screamed as her eyes darkened.

The Queen of Darkness blasted an electricity spell from her wand and Star retaliated with a spell of her own. The beams collided and triggered a shockwave that threw people of both sides back. Star sidestepped and shot three rapid successions of Narwhal blast at the Queen, but the QOD quickly responded with a wall of green fire that incinerated the animals instantly.

"Still playing with those childish spells? I PITY your naivete!" The Queen shouted.

Evil Star waved her wand and the wall of flames pushed out towards the princess. Star quickly summoned a massive cloud to pour rain on the fire. Steam covered the battlefield, but it was quickly dispersed by the Queen with violent winds. Star couldn't keep this going forever, she needed to find Marco. Star summoned her good travel buddy, Cloudy, and hopped on top of him as he floated upwards to the castle.

"Leaving so soon?" The Queen asked as she shot spells at the girl.

"Just making some space."

Star poured magic energy into Cloudy and he began to grow exponentially fast until he covered a big chunk of the battlefield. The warriors stopped to look up at the growing cloud in the sky. Cloudy darkened into a storm cloud as thunder rumbled from his body.

"Show them what you can do, Cloudy!"

The cloud responded with baseball sized hail and lightning that striked behind enemy lines. There were several flashes of light as Cloudy continued his assault and floated towards the castle. Evil Star could only put up a shield as lightning blasted the ground near her. She growled as she watched the girl make her escape.

Star jumped from her friend onto the tower balcony and thanked him as he disappeared. The girl ran through the maze-like halls in search of her boyfriend, she peered down every hallway to make sure she wasn't missing anything. Star felt like she was running in circles, she kept seeing the same furniture and paintings. The princess slowed to a walk as she studied her surroundings carefully.

"Are you lost, little girl?"

Star froze in her tracks as she heard the voice call out from behind her. She gripped tightly onto the wand in her hand.

"That stick won't help you here."

"You wanna find out! NARWHAL BLAST!" Star chanted as she spun around on her heels with her want pointed outwards.

Star was confused when nothing happened and she stared at the robed figure that stood in the middle of the hallway. She called out another spell and the result was the same. The man sighed and stepped towards the girl.

"No magic means no powers. Unfortunately for you, I don't rely on magic for MY powers."

The mysterious man raised his hands up and several softball-sized metal spiked balls flew past him and towards the princess at high velocity. Star dodged most of them gracefully, hearing them impact with the wall behind her but one managed to clip her shoulder. She felt the skin rip apart as the ball went through her shoulder like a cheese grater. Star muffled her scream as she ducked into an adjacent hallway as the balls returned to their master. Fuck that hurt! How is he doing that without any magic? Star wondered as she clenched her shoulder.

"You're right. I'm not using magic. I am what you would call a psychic. I was born with these powers, much like you with magic." The man called from around the corner.

"Why can't I use magic?" Star asked.

"Why? Because I shut you out of it. You use a type of meditation to summon your magical powers. I put a mental wall between you and that link, princess. Now you're nothing but a regular girl."

Star was visibly irritated with being called a "regular girl" and tried with all her might to reach towards that "light" as she pointed her wand at the robed figure. The man smirked as his spiked balls floated in a circle around him.

"Such a weak-minded child."

The man was about to launch his final attack at Star but was interrupted by a bright light. He recoiled away from the extreme brightness as a portal appeared in the hallway. Star heard growling and barking as she shielded her eyes.

"SHE'S NOT WEAK!"

Kelly and Dennis appeared atop Jorby with the girl's wolf in tow, the demon dog spun around and tail whipped the distracted elite into a wall. The snow white wolf jumped onto the man and sank its teeth into his side. The robed figure screamed in agony as his spiked balls pelted the poor wolf till it let go of the man. Kelly and crew stood in a defensive stance between the elite and Star.

"Go on ahead, Star. We got this!" Kelly shouted to the blonde.

Star didn't hesitate as she bolted down the hallway away from the fighting. She searched in every room for any sign of Marco. The princess stopped in front of huge golden doors and smiled. This is definitely an important room. Star thought as she pushed the giant doors open to reveal a throne room. She scanned the immediate area and it was empty except for several thrones and a golden coffin in the center of the room. She gasped as she saw her boyfriend laying down beside it. Star yelled the boy's name and rushed into the room towards Marco. She froze when she saw Hekapoo appear in front of the boy. The demoness glanced back and smirked at the princess as she ran her fingers through Marco's hair. Star narrowed her eyes and tightened her grip on her wand.

"I didn't take you for a traitor."

"I was never on your side in the first place. You really are blind if you didn't expect this. After all your boyfriend noticed. Then again, he has a very interesting taste in women."

Star growled as she watched Hekapoo cradle her unconscious boyfriend's face and slowly french-kiss him. The princess had enough of the nonsense and blasted a beam of golden light at her opponent, another Hekapoo appeared in front of her attack and blocked it. The clone split into ten copies and surrounded the blond girl. Every time a spell hit a duplicate, it split into another clone. The room was soon filled with dozens of copies, they shot fireballs at the princess. Star dodged and shielded the attacks, but the sheer number overwhelmed her efforts. She kneeled and planted her hand against the floor. The ground started to rumble as Star's hand began to glow, it cracked and fissured under the intense magical energy, there was an explosion of light as the copies were dissolved by the magic. The princess stood and glared up at the Hekapoo who was standing on a throne. The demoness disappeared and reappeared in front of Star with flames whipping and snapping around her, the younger girl defended herself with a rainbow shield as Hekapoo tried to punch her. The demoness released a flurry of lightning fast punches, the impacts echoed through the room. Star jumped away from the cone of fire that engulfed the spot she was previously in. The princess projected a sword ,made of magic, around her wand to deflect the massive hunting knives that Hekapoo produced. Star was barely able to keep up as Hekapoo expertly swung her blades at her blind spots. Star relied on her sword practice ,from when she was child, to keep from immediately dying. The fire witch was extremely fast and never let her guard down when she was attacking. Star felt the blade slice and cut through her skin like butter. The princess went for an overhead swing but was interrupted by Hekapoo punching her in the gut and cracking her in the nose with the butt of her blade. Star tasted the blood that dripped on her lips as she fell to one knee in pain. Hekapoo chuckled as she walked over to the princess. Star rolled back at the last second and blasted another spell at the demoness, water spewed out like a fire hydrant and drenched the fire witch. Hekapoo shouted in anger as she stumbled back and tried to reignite her flames. Star took this opportunity to conjure a massive rainbow fist around her hand and uppercutted the demoness.

"RAINBOW FIST BLAST!"

Hekapoo flew into the air and Star summoned a rainbow whip to grab the demoness and fling her into the pillars behind them. The princess kept up the assault as she pointed her wand at the broken pillars and a stream of pandas flew in that direction and exploded.

"PILE DRIVER PANDA EXPLOSION!"

Star walked over to the injured Hekapoo, who was covered in blood and debris, and looked down at the evil woman.

"You're too late. Your boyfriend already went into Toffee's dimension. He'll either come back as Toffee or not at all." Hekapoo chuckled as she tried to get up.

"Radical Rainbow Blast." Star whispered as she pointed her wand directly at the demoness.

A massive stream of rainbows flew out and slammed into the awaiting demoness, Star watched as the older woman struggled against the spell and the princess gritted her teeth as she poured more magic into the spell. Star's body was enveloped in a golden aura, her eyes glowed and her hair whipped around her face, the girl screamed as she let out her frustration. Hekapoo surrendered to the beam of rainbows and was crushed against the floor, the ground cracked before giving out and sending the witch to the basement. Star looked at the unconscious woman through the hole and sighed before turning around to where Marco was. She widened her eyes at Marco, who was standing up and staring at her.

"Hello princess." the boy said as he smiled.
