Morgana, Gwen, Gaius and the rest of the servants inside the dungeon were finally ready. Well as ready as they could be according to Gaius. Gaius was always being pessimistic, and it really wasn't helping the situation.
Morgana was going to lead the charge with Gwen quite close behind. Gaius was going to stay in the dungeon just in case anyone was injured and to keep an eye on Uther just in case anything happened to him.
The servants were getting their armour on and their weapons ready for battle. They were hoping they wouldn't need to fight for long even though they all really knew that the Saxons could carry on forever.
"The Saxons have been quiet." Gaius said to Morgana to try and keep her moods good.
"That doesn't mean that they won't fight us." Morgana responded quietly. Gaius could tell that Morgana was more worried than she was giving on.
"Might have a better chance." Gaius smiled. Morgana gave Gaius a sarcastic look. Gaius knew not to say anymore.
Gaius walked over to Gwen for some comfort from her. Morgana could be very scary when she wanted to!
"She's ready then?!" Gwen said looking at Morgana pace the floor with anger and slight excitement.
Gaius didn't even respond as he didn't want to face Morganas wrath if she turned on them. Gwen had a puzzled look on her face when he didn't say anything.

Merlin was exhausted. They had been walking through the cave for most of the day. It was alright for Arthur! He was used to long, drawn out journeys.
They must be nearly reaching the cure by now! I mean how long could a cave go on for?! Arthur was obviously slowing to though which didn't make Merlin feel too bad.
"Keep up Merlin." Arthur called back to Merlin when he was lagging behind a bit.
Merlin mumbled under his breath at Arthur in disgust. Yes, he had served Arthur for a number of years, but it didn't mean he had to like Arthur.
"Merlin look." Arthur suddenly stopped in happiness sending Merlin and the supplies flying.
Merlin landed on the ground with a thump. The supplies landed at a very disgusted and angry Arthurs feet. Arthur didn't even help him up and Merlin had to gather everything and make his own way to his feet.
"What am I looking at?!" Merlin mumbled loudly to answer Arthur.
"THERE!" Arthur shouted pointing in front of him with some degree of happiness.
Merlin sighed as he finally gave into Arthurs persistence.

"We all ready?" Morgana asked the crowd of people gathered in front of her.
"Yes, my Lady!" Came the answer from a very brave and somewhat strong crowd.
"Let's do this." Morgana said with strength in her voice.
They also had to be quiet as the Saxons might figure out what they were up to. Gwen was so proud of Morgana. Normally Arthur would lead a charge like this but now it was finally time for Morgana to take charge for once.
Gwen went to join Morgana at the door.
"I hope the Saxons are ready for this." Gwen said with a beaming smile on her face.
"Well I don't think they are. We're going to kick them when they're down." Morgana said with a brave tone in her voice the likes of which Gwen had never seen before.
"That's the right answer." Gaius called to them from Uther's side.
The two women looked back. Gaius was nodding which made them feel a hundred times better. With Gaius's support they could do anything but was it enough for them to fight the Saxons?

…..And there it was. The cure they had been marching, riding and walking for was finally in front of them. Nothing could stand in their way now, but Merlin felt like there had to be something else to it. It can't be this easy!
"Maybe we should think about this." Merlin suggested with an ounce of fear in his voice.
"But it's right there!" Arthur tutted at his servant.
"There has to be something else." Merlin said looking around the cave to see if there was something else that might stop them from getting the cure.
Arthur tutted again and strode towards the cure that could take them back to Camelot.
"Arthur wait!" Merlin called desperately after the prince.
"There's nothing here Merlin!" Arthur shouted back with pride.
Arthur then turned back to the cure. He cracked his neck in three places and cracked his knuckles. Merlin watched with bated breath. He didn't really care for Arthur that much but didn't want him to get into danger!
"Maybe we should think about this." Merlin called out in a last-ditch effort to stop Arthur.
Before Arthur could respond, a rumble came from beneath the two men. Arthur looked back at Merlin with a worried look on his face that Merlin had never seen before.
"Merlin?" Arthur asked worriedly.
"RUN!" Merlin shouted back to the prince.
Arthur grabbed the cure and jumped down to catch up with Merlin. As he did this the stone the tree had been growing on faded into the air and the stone cracked in two.
The two kept running past the arrows that were fired earlier and over the floor where they had fallen onto. They could see the light that got them out of the cave.
"There!" Merlin pointed towards the opening.
Arthur didn't have to be told twice! He ran even faster as they made their way out. The cave fell around them as they left.
They went out with a tumble as they finally got out.
"That was close!" Merlin said breathing heavily as he brushed himself of all the dust.
Arthur put the cure into his pocket and got up off of the ground. Merlin was hoping for a hand this time but didn't get one. Arthur just waited until Merlin got up off of the floor and then went in the direction of where the horses might be.
"Don't worry about me then!" Merlin shouted after the prince as Arthur went to the horses.
"I won't!" Arthur shouted back obviously smiling at Merlin's discomfort.
Merlin was happy they finally found the cure to save Uther, but did Arthur have to be so smug about it?!
