Bialya; September 4th
Waking up under the scorching hot sun was not something Robin particularly enjoyed doing so waking up in the middle of a desert under the sun with no memory of how she got there was even more annoying to the thirteen-year-old. She was already groggy when she woke up so when she opened her eyes, the harsh rays of the sun made her want to curse.
"Among all the places, it had to be the desert," she groaned as she got up from the rock formation that she was leaning against when she woke up.
Leaning heavily against the rock, she walked to the edge of the formation and looked at her surroundings. Squinting against the sunlight, she quickly realized that there was a jeep in the distance heading towards her. Quickly looking around, she glanced up and saw a small ledge, and without wasting a second, she scaled the huge rock, her grip not faltering once and she quickly threw herself on the small ledge, hoping that she wouldn't be noticed from below.
Calming her erratic heart, she waited there until the sound of the jeep passed by, driving past where she laid on top of the ledge. Sighing in relief, she peeked over the ledge to see the vehicle drive away.
"Those were Bialyan Republic Army uniforms," she murmured to herself as she brought up her holo-glove, bringing up her location. "But what are Bialyans doing in- Bialya? Okay, better question, what am I doing in Bialya?"
Confused, she looked at the corner of her holo-glove to hopefully figure out how long she had forgotten but the day, more specifically the month threw her back in shock. "In September? What happened to March? I better radio the Batcave."
But as she was about to press her communicator to contact the cave, she unexpectedly remembered a memory of Batman instructing the team.
"Maintain radio silence at all times," she remembered him saying.
"Or not," she said, lowering her arm. Glad to know she was there on a mission but why couldn't she remember who she was with?
Sighing, she jumped over the ledge, landing safely on the sand when something caught her attention at the corner of her eye. Walking towards it, she picked up a torn black piece of cloth engraved with a red 'S'. Thinking it would come in handy or at least be of importance she placed it in an empty pouch of her utility belt.
"I sure hope this was part of the mission," she sighed as she started to walk through the desert in hopes to see something that would jog up to her memory or at least find someone that could help her.

"So remind me again why it was the team that was sent to Bialya?" Jason grumbled, laying on the couch in the Batcave.
"Because it's a recon mission that the League couldn't risk being seen," Tim said from the computer, typing away as usual. "Bialya is under civil war and if anyone so much as sees anyone from the League then they would have to be roped in something they shouldn't be."
Jason groaned at this, sinking deeper in the couch. "Then why couldn't we go?"
"Because," Damian said, walking over to his two brothers. "Father said that the power surge seemed similar to the surge Zeta-beam has but he wasn't sure so the team was sent to investigate where the power surge came from and what caused it and hopefully find out what came through it."
Jason stared at his oldest brother, his face blank. The youngest brother stayed quiet before speaking once more. "And that answers my question, how?"
Damian ignored the urge to slap his youngest sibling up the head and just sighed and lucky for him Tim answered Jason for him.
"Relax, Jason," Tim said, leaning back on the chair, spinning the chair to look at the second youngest. "The team could handle this themselves, besides what could go wrong?"
Jason groaned loudly, before sitting up glaring at his brother. "Great, you just jinxed them."
Tim rolled his eyes at his youngest brother. "Oh don't be childish Jason."
Jason just sighed, before staring at the monitor that had six red dots scattered around the map. "I just don't understand why they have to remain in radio silence, how would we know if they need help?"
"Then Dixie would know what to do," Damian said, glancing at the map as well.

"I have no idea what to do," Robin said as she sat on the sand, sighing. "There's nothing but sand here! It's at times like these I understand why Anakin hates sand," she grumbled to herself.
"Why can't I remember anything?" She growled, frustrated with her situation.
Wiping the sweat of her skin, she went and grabbed a hair tie from her utility belt, tying her hair in a ponytail, something unusual for Robin who usually had her hair down most of the time. Bringing up her holo-glove once more, she brought up the map once more hoping to see anything before realizing that there was a blinking red dot not too far away from her, the only reason why she didn't see it until now was that she was too far away from it to appear on her map.
"Did not expect that," she smiled to herself before getting back up. "Wonder why I would leave a marker in the desert though," she said before walking off to the direction the dot was on her map. Looking up at the sky, it was almost sunset, the desert suddenly turning cold without the sun high in the air. "Better hurry, don't want to end up here for too long."
She continued to make her way through the desert, towards the marker. As she walked over a hill, the sun now set, she grumbled at her predicament. "I wish I could remember why I put a GPS marker here," she mumbled but as she reached on top of the dune she quickly dropped to the ground. "Huh," she muses, "guess that's why."
Below the dune, she was on a large machine left out in the open. Looking over her surroundings, seeing no one in sight she makes her way to the machine, landing a few feet away from her when all of a sudden a group of soldiers rose from the sand, throwing away the cloth that hid them in the sand.
"Of course," she said under her breath before taking out some smoke bombs from her utility belt.
"Her Majesty wants her alive!" one of the soldiers yelled in Bialyan. Unfortunately for them, Robin learned the basics of the language after finding out about Queen Bee.
The soldiers then prepared to attack the Girl Wonder, guns laying by their sides, ready to be used anytime. Dropping the smoke bombs on the ground, they dune quickly got enveloped in gray smoke, the soldiers unable to see anything until it was too late.
Taking out most of the soldiers with quick swell swoops and disarming them with her birderangs, only a few were left standing when the smoke cleared.
"Enough! Open fire!" the soldier from early commanded, all the remaining soldiers quickly raising their guns aiming at the thirteen-year-old.
Quickly jumping back into a handspring, she narrowly missed the montage of bullets that was aimed at her. But before she could continue her attacks, there was a gust of wind and two of the soldiers were missing their guns.
"I'll take that," Kid Flash said, carrying the guns he robbed from the soldiers. Robin would have been happy to see such a familiar face but she was momentarily distracted by the speedster's outfit. Instead of the yellow that Kid Flash wore, his costume was completely black besides the usual insignia on his chest.
"Thanks!" the speedster said as he snatched the guns of some more soldiers, a broad smile on his face dropping the guns on the ground.
Smiling to herself, Robin dodged a hook punch thrown at her by one of the soldiers before kicking the soldier in the ribs, knocking him out. Turning around, she sees Wally take out three more soldiers and sees two soldiers about to fire at her. Quickly bringing out her birderangs she was ready to attack when the two soldiers were suddenly flung away in the air.
Turning around, she saw a Martian appear floating in the air, and yet she found herself relieved at seeing the stranger.
As Wally was finishing the rest of the soldiers, in the corner of her eyes she sees a soldier running away. She was about to pull out a birderang to tie him up but a green arrow zipped past her, turning into a bola that wrapped around the soldier's legs, the soldier landing on the ground with a thump.
Turning in the direction where the arrow came from, she saw a blonde girl in a green outfit that reminded her of Green Arrow, in her arms was a matching green collapsible bow. The blond stranger looked stoic before smiling softly, walking down the dune she was on. Not knowing whether she was a teammate or a foe, Robin decided to keep a lookout on her, as well as the Martian.
"KF!" Robin smiled, walking over to her best friend. "Man, it is good to see a familiar face!"
"Memory loss?" Kid Flash asked, equally as happy to see her.
"Six months!" Robin complained, happy to finally have someone to talk to. "Let's hogtie these creeps and compare notes."
The four of them then started tying out the passed out soldiers using the rope Robin kept in her utility belt. Making sure that the rope was secured, she turned to look at the three other teens with her.
"It's so great to see you again!" Miss Martian yelled happily.
"Uh, have we met?" Robin asked, now on guard with the martian.
"Yeah! We're a team!" Miss Martian tried to assure the thirteen-year-old.
"So we're a team?" Robin repeated, skeptical.
"The four of us and Superboy," Miss Martian nodded. "Did you see him?"
Robin gave a glance at Kid Flash to see if her best friend was believing anything the martian was saying. The speedster seemed to be mulling something.
"I think we did," Artemis said, remembering what happened earlier with Kid Flash.
"Feral-boy?" Kid Flash said, thrown back, unsure about the person he and Artemis were referring to being one of their teammates. "Some teammate, he attacked us."
"He didn't know who we are," Artemis argued back. "I don't know who we are."
"I remember Batman ordering Radio silence," Robin said, trying to end their conversation before it escalated. "Our team must work for him."
"How do you know we don't work for my mentor?" Kid Flash asked playfully, hitting the Flash logo on his chest as emphasis. Though when he did, his whole suit turned back into its usual yellow. "Whoa," he breathed out.
The speedster then starts to press the logo on his chest several times, his suit changing from black to yellow and vice versa with each press. "This is so cool."
"We look ridiculous," Artemis complained, frustrated at their predicament before looking at the speedster who just kept playing around with the new function of his suit. "Quit touching yourself!" the archer snapped but the speedster touched the logo once more which cause her to groan in frustration. "We need our memories back."
Miss Martian rubs her hands together nervously, unsure at first before finally deciding what to do. For Superboy.
The four of them suddenly found themselves standing in a cave-like place, surrounding them were memories being played.
"I brought you into my mind to share what I remember so far," a white glowing figure appears before the three. "But I need your help," Miss Martian says as she removed her hood. "Together our broken memories can form a whole if you open your minds to mine."
At the corner of her eye, Robin sees Artemis tense at this. She would be too but if they truly wanted to find out what happened to their memories, they needed to trust Miss Martian even if the martian was lying about being their teammate.
"You wanna paw through our private thoughts?" Artemis growled defensively.
Miss Martian raised her hands in defense, trying to show she means true. "I don't wish to intrude but-"
"You need to hack our minds to figure out what happened to us, got it," Robin said, cutting off the martian with a smile.
Kid Flash smiled at this before looking at the martian. "My brain's all yours. Try not to let its brilliance overwhelm you," the speedster said, flirting with Miss Martian.
Robin rolled her eyes at his behavior. "Or underwhelm you," she snickered before a thought struck her. "Hey, why isn't anyone just whelmed?"
Artemis ignores the two of them, still looking on guard at the martian before turning to look at Kid Flash. Noticing her looking at him, he smiles at her, trying to comfort her. Ever since she woke up in that shed, it was only the two of them but now, he was looking at the Girl Wonder, forgetting her. The speedster seemed to realize that she trusted him after what happened earlier and smiled softly at her, stretching out his hand towards her.
Artemis contemplated a bit before sighing, taking his hand, linking their hands together. "Last six months only. And only what you need," she agrees, glancing at the speedster. Miss Martian smiles, nodding before white hands stretched from behind her and landing on the three of their heads before they were sucked into their memories.
"The Watchtower detected an immense power surge in the Bialyan desert," the four of them see Batman speaking to them in what looks like to be a base in a mountain or cave. "Spectral Analysis revealed elements non-terrestrial in origin. Find out what happened at the site. What landed there?"
Batman pulls up a new slide, one with a picture of a familiar person to Robin. "Bialya is a rogue state ruled by Queen Bee and not a member of the League's UN charter. All communications are subject to interception. Maintain radio silence at all times."
The image shifts all of a sudden with them looking through binoculars at the Bialyan desert before Batman's voice continues. "You will land in Quarac, on Bialya's border, two clicks from the hot zone."
"All clear," they hear Robin from the memory says.
"The Bialyans control the site," Artemis voice speaks up, the four of them seeing the archer and Girl Wonder crawling over a dune to look over a small campsite.
"Set up here," they hear a voice say, talking to Superboy who drops the machine they saw earlier before the meta pressed a button on the side of the machine, turning the machine on.
"We'll be up and running in no time," Robin informs them, typing away at the keyboard of the machine with Kid Flash looking over her shoulder, a broad grin on his face.
"Jackpot! This site's lousy with Zeta Beam radiation," Kid Flash says in triumph. Robin turns to look up at him, a smile on her face before glancing back at the information the machine was gathering.
"Detecting non-terrestrial trace elements from the tent," she says, informing the team.
"I'll check it out in camouflage mode," Miss Martian offers.
"Good idea, go," the voice from earlier tells her.
Superboy turns to her, "Careful."
"And maintain telepathic contact," the voice reminds her.
"I will, Aqualad," Miss Martian promises.
"Aqualad!" all four of them yelled, suddenly remembering about their leader.
"Where is he? What happened next?" Robin asked in a hurry.
I don't know, that's the last thing I- we remember," Miss Martian says, worried.
Kid Flash and Artemis glance down at their intertwined hands before pulling away in a hurry. "Ugh," Kid Flash grumbles, rubbing the back of his head. "I- uh- we landed 24 hours ago if Kaldur's been wandering the desert that long, well that's not good for a guy with gills."
"Now that I know to look for him," Robin says, not finishing his sentence already pulling out his holo-glove. "He's close, but not moving."
The three of them then start following Robin who was running ahead looking back at her holo-glove.
"Over there!" she says, pointing to the left before running ahead. Kid Flash rushes up beside her, equally as worried for their friend. The four of them find the Atlantean passed out behind a rock, murmuring in Atlantean.
"I can't restore his memories in this state," Miss Martina frowns, looking over their leader.
"He needs immediate rehydration," Robin says gravely. "Call the Bioship."
"It's out of range," Miss Martian says before turning to the speedster. "You can get him there quickly."
"He's too heavy and I'm low on fuel," Kid Flash frowns, slightly out of breath. "Right now I couldn't even carry her," he says, gesturing to Artemis.
Artemis huffs, pushing past him with a scoff. "Why not just levitate him back?" she asks, choosing to ignore Kid Flash.
Miss Martian glances at their unconscious leader, a frown on her face. "I can't, I have to find Superboy," she insists, getting up ready to find the meta. "Six months ago he didn't exist, just animal impulse. I'm the only one who can help him."
"Superboy's indestructible, just ask the tanks," Kid Flash points out. "It's Aqualad who needs your help- like- now."
Robin frowns at Miss Martian's behavior but decides not to speak up about it, too busy looking over Aqualad. All of a sudden the martian yells, clutching her head in pain.
"No!" Miss Martian yells. "Superboy's in pain," she says before suddenly taking off into the night sky.
"We still don't know what erased our memories! It could happen again!" Robin yells after the fleeing martian who just ignored her. Robin swallows down the urge to groan in annoyance before turning back to Aqualad.
"The Bioship is not too far from here, we should carry him back," Robin says getting up.
"And how'd we do that?" Artemis asks.
Robin frowns before turning to look back to where the machine laid in the distance. "Wait here," she says before running off to the machine. There lying in the sand were the fabrics the soldiers used to hide under the sand. Quickly snatching them up, she ran back to the others in a hurry, stumbling on the sand before seeing two wooden sticks buried in the sand.
"Artemis! Help me over here!" Robin yells, starting to dig up the sticks from the sand. Artemis rushed over, helping the Girl Wonder, the two sticks being long enough to help them.
"What do we need these for?" Artemis asks, carrying the sticks back to where Kid Flash and Aqualad stayed.
"We're going to make a stretcher," Robin says, setting the cloth down when she arrives back to their fallen comrade. "Help me tie the cloth," she tells Kid Flash who just nods, working on it already.
When the two of them finish, the fabrics and stick now a temporary stretcher. "Let's get him on," Robin says. With a little push and lifting, the three of them successfully transferred the Atlantean on the makeshift stretcher.
"C'mon," Robin says, urging them to move. "Let's hurry back to the Bioship."
Artemis and Kid Flash start dragging the stretcher through the sand with Robin leading the way, her holo-glove showing her the way to the Bioship. The three of them continued to make their way through the desert before hearing the sound of jeeps. The three of them quickly hides behind a boulder, hoping the soldiers won't find them.
Aqualad groans, murmuring once more in Atlantean.
Robin frowns before inching towards the edge of their hiding place, Kid Flash looking at her while Artemis presses a hand against the Atlanrean's forehead. Artemis shushes him quietly, "Kaldur quiet now."
Spotting a group of five soldiers, all of them armed, she drops back down, huffing in frustration. "We can't risk a firefight with Aqualad KO's like this."
Kid Flash groans as well, "It's not just him, I'm way out of juice."
Robin frowns at this before deciding to take things into her own hands. Moving away from their hiding place she rushed around the group of soldiers, she went to the dunes opposite of where the others were hiding, away from the Bioship. Grabbing a handful of birderangs, she scattered them all over the ground before rushing back to the others.
"- I'm your ninja boyfriend?" she hears Kid Flash tease.
"Hey amnesia, remember? I completely forgot how truly annoying you are," Artemis growls.
"Oh, like you're the Goddess of Congeniality," Kid Flash says sarcastically.
"Yeesh! Get a room!" Robin groans, surprising the two.
"Where were you?" Kid Flash growls annoyed that she just left him without saying anything.
Robin just smirks, turning to look over to the group of soldiers. "Breaking radio silence."
There in the distance was the sound of birderang activating, the Girl Wonder's laugh emitting from them. This catches the attention of the soldiers who wander to the direction of the birderangs before the birderangs activate, releasing a cloud of smoke in an instant.
"That's our cue! Move!" Robin says, the two of them waste no time and do exactly what they were told, dragging the stretcher carrying the Atlantean. The three of them make it back to the Bioship with no problem. Artemis and Kid Flash quickly place Aqualad on his chair while Robin starts moving, going through all the medical equipment in the Bioship before taking out a bottle of water, needle, and IV kit.
"Give him some water," she says, handing the water bottle to Artemis who nods and follows her orders while Kid Flash helps Robin prepare the IV. The two of them quickly set it up and Robin gets the needle, grabbing Aqualad's non-dominant hand.
"Lucky he won't feel this cause of his Atlantean skin," Robin says under her breath before taking a deep breath and looking for a vein to insert the needle. Finding one, she sucked another breath before pushing the needle, going through the Atlantean's skin and into the veins.
Letting out a breath, the Girl Wonder slumps on the ground, the exhaustion from today finally seeping in. She sits on the ground for a few minutes before reluctantly getting up to clean up the things they used for the IV.
As she was placing some of the things back to where their medical equipment was kept, she found some crackers, grabbing two she looked over to Kid Flash who was also helping clean up. "KF, catch," she says before tossing the crackers over to him.
Kid Flash turns just in time and catches the crackers before smiling thankfully at her. Grabbing the last of the things, he walks over to her, placing the equipment to where they were supposed to be before tearing open the crackers. Instead of eating them up in a hurry, as usual, he just nibbled on the cracker, leaning against the wall beside Robin.
"You okay?" he asks under his breath, his face scrunched in concern.
Robin hums, leaning against the wall beside him. "Just remembered what's been going on at home," she confesses, glancing at Artemis who sat beside Aqualad, too far away to hear from their conversation.
Kid Flash glances at her in concern. "Are things still not good at home?"
Robin shakes her head. "No, things are fine now but I don't know, ever since CADMUS, everything at home changed," she sighs.
Kid Flash remains silent, mulling over her words before hesitating and asking her a question. "Do you regret it?"
Robin turns to him before sighing, resting her head on the wall. "No, I don't."
Kid Flash hums, glancing on the ground before standing up straight and turning to her. "Well, I don't really know how to comfort you… but, I know you guys would get through this, your brothers and father love you too much to let this get between you. They'll get over it," Kid Flash says, unsure about his words.
Robin hums before a soft smile spread on her face. Standing up, she stretches her arms before dropping them beside her. "Thanks, Walls, that's comforting in a way," she says, smiling at him before the two of them walk over to Aqualad and Artemis.
Hey guys! I just wanted to ask whether or not I should post future polls in my insta and twitter?
I was planning to just add them in the story and make you guys comment on it but I think if I make polls on Insta and Twitter as well, it would be easier for me and you guys as well! And who knows, you might vote three times and I wouldn't even know it HAHAHAHA hope you guys reply/comment on what you guys think so I'll know what to do when the chapter where you guys vote comes up! (Spoiler: it still comes in chap twenty-seven, the reason why there was no voting so far was cause I'm just rewriting and some of the ones were voted before) I'll also be posting the alternate choices at the end of the story so you guys can still see what would have happened if the alternative won!
